Light of Altair is based on a custom built 3D engine that enables easy zooming from galaxies all the way down to individual moons and asteroids covered in the colonies with their glass domes, mines and launch pads. Advanced shader technology is used to add rich details and lighting to surfaces.

Amazing game would love a sequal even if it is 11 years later
fun space game. Keeps it simple and enjoyable.
If your thinking of picking this up or already have it, I would reccomend the older title "Fragile Aligance" (wich is a fathful remake of the very old Amiga game K2240) whos graphics have aged very well even if the interface is somewhat clunky. dose everything this game has tried to do, but did it better years before and for cheeper

This game will not allow you to have a fair chance. The AI is able to get 10 million pop with only 3 tier 1 bases. Seriously??
Flawed game with incredibly fun premise.
Minimal replayabiliity. Otherwise, works out to be above average. I enjoyed it.

Great game, love the simulated ship combat and plot. Wish they'd release it for SteamOS, I think it would do well with the gamepad.
Thought i found something like spacebase DF9, huge mistake. Huge letdown.
This is one of the best single player strategy games I've ever played.
fun rts/space settlement sim
Extremely addicting, easy to play, VERY fun. Light of Altair can give you hours of fun on end, and is so addicting that even if/when you get stuck and want to stop, it keeps bringing you back. It's a really enjoyable space strategy game. (the review before this parenthesis was made before i finished it) now upon finishing it, i can still agree to what i said before, but with one caveat: limited replayability. There is only the story missions to it, with no sandbox/freeplay or challenge mode, thus limiting replayability. Still a very good game though!
Pick it up for under $5, worth an hour or two of your time!
This is a strategy game where you build up planets and asteroids to then attack the enemy and destroy their bases. The graphic are pretty simple, so nothing grand there but they are ok for such a game.
The strategy is also simple from what time i played, but i guess it gets more complex later in the missions.
The story for the campaign is a bit boring from what i could see. Maybe its me.
I will cautiously recommend this game. It's not great but at the low price below 10$, it should be worth a few hours of fun.

I really dislike tier system when you build your base on planets. Same game with open world with free building system would be interresting.
Thinked was Ascendancy remake but it seem Light of Altair don't offer better only worst. After three missions i stopped game and deleted all files definitively.
Great game with an interseting take on space based strategy and a pretty unique plot line
Do people even know this game exists? Great city building game on Normal. Insane difficulty on Hard.
Interesting setting and simple mechanics make this game a blast to play when you have an hour of spare time.
A fairly fun citybuilding/space strategy game with a nifty plot.
This game is in the full mening of the world a colony bulider. I can not over state this fact, there is only the single player campaing to go through and most of that is you gussed it buliding up and maintaing your colony. Haveing said that this is a fun game for all you world buliders out this and only for you, sorry to say this game is not for every buddy. In colsing, Fun but not worth the 15$ price tage.
