Great game not to hard old school
If you love 90s anime, big boobs, fanservice, gameplay similar to Final Fight or Splatterhouse.
Then this game is for weebs like you. Easily a 10/10 for me for sheer fun factor.
This basically is a short guilty pleasure beat-em-up with a heavy dose of comic-book style art & humor. It's not a long game (maybe 45-60 minutes) although there are 3 difficulty levels and you can unlock different costume colors and maybe other options. The base gameplay is fine but controls are a little frustrating and occasionally unresponsive. And yes, the bosses are very cheap-unless you can pull off your special finishing sequence you'll beat them up a bit and they'll come back and beat you cheaply into submission, and to the point you'll likely give up out of frustration.
There's not a lot of replay value or long-term gameplay here, so basically you're getting a $3 game that, given a chance, is a fun little title but would've benefitted from some more balance adjustments (likely not happening given it was last updated in 2015). If the theme of the game is your thing or you just like beating up bunny girls, you'll have some fun with it, but it gets old quickly.

White the graphics may not be exactly up to par and controls are a bit weak the game physics are quite fun if you get the timing right.
The soundtrack rocks and storylines are quite funny.
Thhough this game may have some negatives its not terrably bad.
I definaly recomend playing this game with a control pad.
I say its definaly what you pay for.
Fun game. Problems with getting fullscreen without issues . I just wait until main title screen to even try it. But anyway somewhat fun button masher
This isn't really the 2D God Hand I was expecting for but still Banzai Pecan is a challenging game. My only issue with this game is with the somewhat stiff controllers.
A very fun anime-styled beat 'em up game. It's fairly hard and easier to play with a controller. The game has A LOT of references to other anime series and games (most I know, some I don't), and it's pretty hilarious. It also has great music and alternate color palettes for Pecan.

Where do I even start with this.
Well I suppose the first place to start would be the art style. From cusctenes to characters everything has this mediocre "deviant art" feel to it that you get with a lot of artwork that you find on that sight that come from artists who aren't that good yet. The backgrounds range from bleh to terrible with no animation even when you would think there would be animated things in the background with maybe the exception of the last level which is the best looking level by far when compared to the rest.
There is very little variety when it comes to the enemies that you face. In fact with the exception of a couple enemies you see the entire roster of minions in the first level and then start dealing with their recolors from level 2 on up. Or rather with the exception of a couple enemies and the bosses you only fight a total of three minions which are seen in level 1 and then deal with their recolors from then on out.
The bosses themselves start out easy but by the third ramp up in difficulty to absurd levels. Basically each boss has three health bars to them, for the first part of the first healthbar you can do whatever you want. However once that first bar drops by half then you are forced to use a different move on them because they then become to how you initially attacked and will auto counter or in some cases just become unstunnable for the rest of the fight. You will have a hard time with later bosses and the semi-final one is one just by pure luck.
The music is ok at best, while the sound design for everything else can be annoying at worst especially with the laughtracks that come out of nowhere for certain combos because I guess the non-existant audience thought that whatever you did to bunny #19998 was hilarious. There is very little voice acting outside of Flan and the narrator for the stage. The characters do smack talk in battle if you can here them but the cutscenes themselves have none.
Then of course there is the writing.
The game itself is poorly written.
Instead of introducing you to the world or characters you are already plopped into the middle of a conflict between the Banzai and the demons. Which is fine but when you start meeting all the side characters and the arch rival it's all treated like they dealt with each other for a very long time and have these long relationships with each other that the player never gets to see but is just supposed to except without a working knowledge of anyone. And the game certainly won't tell you a darn thing about anyone you meet either. You have to go to the game's website to learn anything about the major characters in the game. It's a comedy game sure but some of the lines just feel forced like they were added in just because and don't fit or they "homage" certain famous lines by just retelling them(You'll know this one when you see it). Heck they threw in "Trix are for kids" in a spot it didn't really belong.
As stated this game is written as if you already know everyone involved when you don't because this is your first time meeting them and it just shunts "funny" lines in because "it's toungue and cheek".
Would I reccommend this game. The answer would be no.
You are better off saving your money and getting something like fist puncher which is the same price but has way more content and enemy variety. at least if you want a beat em up.
Definitely one of the best Indie games I've ever played. Most of the time, Indie games don't hold my interest enough and I don't really dabble in them too much, but Banzai Pecan is fun and refreshingly deep. It gives me more fun than a lot of AAA games nowadays, and is certainly a game I'd mention to people who enjoy fast-paced beat 'em ups or action games as a whole. It isn't easy to convince people to try a game like this, but they're missing out on a really fun experience if they don't even give it a shot.

A side scrolling beatemup with only one pane of movement, but NOT for newcomers to fighters or the short tempered.
Full of softcore fanservice, all over the place sound and voice acting, a lacking tutorial, traced over sprites from better 2d fighters, stiff controls, cheap enemies and mostly forced popculture and anime references in the storyline.
If this game does one thing right however, it's the character designs which are clearly not taking themselves too seriously with it's parodying anime tropes. What let's the game down is the execution of the rest of that game, which if done right could have made this into a 2D God Hand.
I ONLY recommend this game because it's a bit different to the usual fighters you find on steam, but it's VERY MUCH an acquired taste at best.
Overall some lol wut moments dragged down by stiff controls and cheap enemies.

This game could be good if only t was playable, yeah, it looks like a fighting game where you can perform great combos, and yes... But no, you can only use one buton, jumping and dodging are almost useless and the controller support sucks; pressing Y in the X360 pad to pause the game? Who had such bad idea!!!???
I only got this game because it was cheap, but it's not good at all; mini bosses are almost unbeatable and you will spend most of the game fighting the same half naked girls all the time...
Are you an English speaking anime fan?
Are you familiar with Melty Blood, Guilty Gear or Blazblue?
Then I recommend the hell out of this game.
For extra enjoyment, be familiar with pre-internet anime
Have at least 1+ years experience playing fighting games
Preferably at arcades, or online with an arcade stick
To get my arcade stick working, I had to use JoyToKey and plug in my stick AFTER launching the game.
If you are intimate with KOF Extra System\S Groove, you are ready to play. Just be prepared for speeds faster than Street Fighter Alpha 3 in Turbo.
If the term Hit Frame makes you scratch your head, or you don't know who Daigo is, you're gunna have a bad time, like all those negative reviewers below.

If you're looking for a stroll in the park side scrolling beat'em up, then this IS NOT the game for you. Even on the easiest setting, GREEN MODE, does nothold your hand. Granted my personal reaction time plays a role in the decision, however, the demand for a quick reaction time is still rather quick. When other gamers have said that this game is hard, they're not lying. If you love challenging games then this is for you.
I absolutely love this game so far. From the gameplay, to the soundtrack...everything is just awesome! 10/10!! :D
