At its core, Stay Dead Evolution is a 'round beat'em up' like Street Fighter with elements taken from rhythm games.
The brand new idea behind Stay Dead Evolution is to have a real time interaction inside a cinematographic scene, using the main character as if he would be a video-game character.
Stay Dead is the union of movies and video-games.
Finally, the sound and graphic quality of a movie joins effectively the interaction of a next generation video-game, creating a unique and involving game experience.
Using the video footage is one aspect of Stay Dead Evolution, but it's not the most important. Our focus is to let the player feels like using the main character in an actual movie, a movie with a real montage and a proper grammar.
Stay Dead Evolution is born refining Stay Dead, a game that in 2012 was well received by public and critique.
Even if the graphic is entirely shot in real life, you can move your character with a great degree of freedom and you can perform more than 100 different techniques distributed in 5 stages.
Use all the classic moves of the fighting games, just watch the result of your stunts with a never-seen-before spectacularity that just a real life shot with a cinematographic direction can provide.

Personal Comment Stay Dead Evolution offers a novel approach to interactive storytelling, combining live-action sequences with fighting game mechanics. While the game delivers an immersive experience and impressive visuals, its limited replayability and technical issues may deter some players.
I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Fun game based off of a nice gimmick. This wont keep you playing for a while, but its a nice concept and could have been better with some story elements similar to Shenmue for dreamcast / Xbox.
If you like QTE's, this is for you. That is all this appears to be. Having played 14 minutes and got on the 3rd foe, I could not recommend this.

Stay Dead Evolution,
Might not be the next ground breaking thing to enter the game charts, but it's an old concept/idea made possible with the modern days computers.
Basically what you do is press the correct sequence of buttons to overcome your enemy. As difficulty increases, so does the time you've got to press the correct button (sequence) become shorter.
If you do it right, well, then you get to see the according video sequence.
Not much to it, but if you like old skool action movies. Then this might be just the thing for you.
I like it a lot, because the developers found a way to keep the game interesting control wise and created some nice HD videos to accompany the different fighting techniques.
Don't expect to see Bruce lee or Chuck Norris in this game, because it's made with a limited budget. (Which can be seen)
But, the budget has been put to good use, since the overall quality is more than adequete.
I recommend this game. Even if it's just to see a future release including samurai, ninja and jedi knight or something. Oh, cool looking mecha bots would be cool also.

A QTE driven game that doesn't even keep the combat up: this is some of the worst "combat" cinematics that I've seen in a while. Weak real life punches and unbelieveable actors don't hide the QTE even driven game. For a student film, it's alright, but for a 5 dollar game on steam, it just doesn't come up to snuff.
Also, it's 2014. The need to censor the nazi symbol is ridculous.
