The nail-biting survival experience of ZombiU™ has been upgraded for download on next-gen consoles and PC. ZOMBI takes the power of the latest generation of hardware to bring you a new level of horror. Test your will to survive, but beware: death is permanent, and one wrong move can cause you to lose everything.
Features
PURE SURVIVAL HORROR
Resources are scarce, your enemies are numerous, and you never know when you’ll find more weapons, ammunition, first aid, or food. How you allocate your resources determines if you live or die.
WITH PERMADEATH, EVERYTHING IS AT STAKE
Survival is not guaranteed. Once you die, your character becomes infected and joins the horde of undead shambling through London. You’ll come back as an entirely new character and try to survive, again, with your first mission being to retrieve your previous character’s supplies.
BUG-OUT BAG
Your bug-out bag holds all your possessions, tools, inventory, first aid kits, maps, and more. Don’t get distracted, as zombies can attack you at any moment. If you die, your bag stays with your old character, who is now a zombie. Will you risk it all to get your bag back, or start scavenging anew?
LONDON CALLING
Survive in a city steeped in grisly history, royal secrets, and bloody tales. Navigate through the medieval Tower of London, stately Buckingham Palace, and modern streets swarming with mobs of the undead.
THE UNDEAD RETURN
Combining the horror of ZombiU with refined gameplay and upgraded graphics, ZOMBI brings the survivalist first-person shooter to next-gen consoles and PC. Adapted to a single screen experience, the active pause system still makes you vulnerable while scanning your environment, completing mini-games or searching your inventory & equipment.

Simple as.
Do not buy its laggy fucked up to play aswell bro just don´t
I love this game
it's truly an underrated gem. The Wii U version stands out thanks to its excellent asymmetrical multiplayer mode, but I still enjoy this version for its tense melee combat and light Souls-like progression.
Unfortunately, the game is currently unplayable for me due to issues with Ubisoft’s launcher. If you're thinking about buying it, just be aware of this potential problem.
⭐ 9.5/10
Zombi is one of those games that may not be for everyone, especially if you're used to PC gaming controls. As a Wii U port, the controls can feel a bit heavy and awkward, but that doesn’t take away from the overall experience. If you're willing to adjust, you’ll find an amazing adventure through a zombie-infested London.
The atmosphere is absolutely incredible. Walking through the eerily quiet streets of London, trying to survive while everything’s falling apart — it’s the kind of intense, immersive experience you rarely get in zombie games. Plus, hearing "London Bridge is Falling Down" in the trailer? Pure genius.
Despite the meh controls, this game nails the tension and challenge of survival. There’s a unique vibe that you just can’t find elsewhere. I’m loving the challenge, and even though the controls aren't perfect, the whole experience is more than worth it. And yeah, I still need to finish that 100% trophy at some point...
It's a pretty decent zombie game. It is showing it's age and yes you do need a Ubisoft account in order to play it, but so far in my entire time playing it I did not run into any game breaking issues. It's overall a good experience, overpriced for a old game so just wait for a sale.
i love it
Good game but it crashes and you lose all progress
One of the most underrated zombie games ever, while the port is mediocre and has issues like missing sounds for certain guns and generators, not able to launch the game due to Uplay servers being shutdown years ago (THANKS UBISOFT!), it still has one of the most interesting and unique gameplay for a survival horror zombie game. Not to mention the aesthetic and atmosphere of the zombie-infested London is still unmatched in my opinion. Overall, if you can ignore the obvious jank and some of the dated graphics, this game is still amazing to play and I still remember it when I played it back in 2015 when they ported it to modern platforms.
ZOMBI or ZOMBIU is still one of my favorite zombie games of all time and with a very good reason.
If you're having problems launching the game due to Uplay launcher forcing you to log in, you can download the fixed files here which bypasses the launcher entirely so you can play the game normally:

PSA TO ALL POTENTIAL BUYERS:
-An update was released in March of 2025 that added new bugs or outright broken the game for a lot of people.
Before this update I had no problem at all launching or playing the game, since the update I now have a small 1inch long vertical white line on the bottom corner of the screen any time I play, gun shooting and reloading sound effects as well as explosion sound effects are incredibly inconsistent. These were issues not present for me prior to the patch.
-Some people are reporting their game is incapable of even launching, or are unable to change the resolution without the game hard crashing.
-This is an incredibly fun and unique survival horror game that the devs put a lot of time and effort into and has a setting/atmosphere unlike any other game I've played.
I'd wholeheartedly recommend purchasing it on a sale which is why my overall review is positive, but just be aware of these things prior to playing so you're not caught by surprise.
i played this originally on the WiiU.
the map and inventory was on the gamepad which was nice.
anyway, this is about the PC version of Zombi.
this is my total time with all achievements.
~6h in Chicken and Normal mode
~5h in Survival mode
it does have some bugs.
audio being funky. ie. music stops in the middle or sound effects (C4) was sometimes not played.
CTD when traveling to other areas. this lost me some time, but it was not a huge problem since the game is pretty short.
"Zombi" compared to other Zombie-Survival-themed games, is at best only mediocre.
it's a very linear game even though you can freely move from one area to the next.
since i have all achievements now. i don't plan to play it ever again.
The game isn't half bad but I had a really hard time staying with it.
Looks like they fixed whatever was broken before. I'm able get from start to Buckingham Palace without crashing.
though the game is a decade old, and it is a little janky, gameplay is fun and fair, one of the main issues im seeing is pushing downed infected or corpses into something and they either phase into it temporarily or fly a bit away
required uplay
so this was a child hood game for me, i never could beat it when i was a young lad. so when i saw this game on sale i thought to pick it up! here are my thoughts
1: Gameplay
wow... i give it a solid 8.5/10 never has a game made me feel so helpless and like a power house. it combines survival and gun play very well. your always tense and paranoid even when you have alot of ammo and heals. this game rewards patience and stratagy. with a solid plan and backup plan you can tear through hordes
2: world design and art style and other stuff
now the art style is a amazing and very uniqe but omg is this game SOOO dam dark, most of the time i couldent seee anything! even with the flash light on. and the world design seems very british. but im not a uk lad so i wouldent know
the cheracters! there british -1000/10 jokes aside your player cherater models are pretty cool. i find how realist they can feel, with grunts and pain or sleeping and eating.
the ost! even tho you only hear a few, there pretty awsome. like the tense battle music, safe house music and ofc god save the quuen. are very pleasing to my ears. the rest of the music can be a miss, but there okay
the story! its okay.... not grate but not bad, was a lil invested. but the voice acting is really solid! theres that!
art and world: 8/10
ost and music: 8/10
story: 6/10
voice acting: 7.5/10
(oh and the custom criket bat skins are pretty nice!...even tho you replace it for the chad shovel not even an hour later)
3: my problems with the game
this games code is veery spagettie, and how the save system works you gotta be saving alot. or els you will lose 1-3 hours of progress just cus some zombie is stuck, i recommed you always duble save just to be sure. cus it helped me alot.
most of the time the game can also feel like is bs you like the zombie grabbing you leading to instant death.... tho i never had this problem in this run, i had it before and its just so demoralizing
and i cant simply even justify how bad most bugs can be, tho i was lucky and only got the minor ones
over all there can be alot of problems in this game, so be sure to save alot
4: uplay
i saw others complain that this game is unplayble cus uplay is dead... i personally never had a issue after the first crash after uplay installed fully or something, tho i think its fine?? cus it worked well and uplay worked just fine after
5: over all score and talk
i personally give this game a 7.5/10 to a solid 8/10 tho please never buy this game at full price, its simply not worth it since the game may brake, luckily this game is in sale like all the time anyway so only cop this when its like 5 dollars
so! uh fun game, can be hard and unfair, can be very buggy. but i still recomend it when its on sale!....and i hope it works for ya if you do get it
just like shaun of the dead!
Ok I don't know if some of you guys encounter some bugs in this game because I did and it really piss me off:
1. Is when getting the vacine from the zombie after scanning it i can't get it.
2. When I already the keycard for the armory and still doesn't let me use it and it says "Keycard required" even i already got it.
I really want to enjoy playing this game but there are some bugs that I really can't do anything unless I start the whole story from the start really bad for me I wish bugs in this game will be fixes soon the better.
"God save our gracious King and Queen... Long live our noble King and Queen... God save them both... Send them victorious... Happy and glorious... Long to reign over us... God save the King and Queen... Oh Lord, our God, arise... Scatter their enemies... And make them fall... Confound their politics... Frustrate their knavish tricks... On Thee our hopes we fix... Oh, save us all... Thy choicest gifts in store... On them be pleased to pour... Long may they reign... May they defend our laws... And ever give us cause... To sing with heart and voice... God save the King and Queen..."
buggy at times but still works
I've seen a lot of people complain that this game wouldn't launch, because of a Ubisoft Connect issue. Sadly, it did launch for me, but I wish it didn't. This game would be okay as a fantasy fullfilment of what you would do in a zombie apocalypse. It's you against the horde with permadeath as a nice bit of flavor. Die in the easier difficulties then you start with a new character and you have to recover your items from the previous zombified avatar or their corpse. On the hardest difficulty, one death means game over. The problem? The game is still a buggy mess even if you do get it to launch. The audio is completely broken. Certain songs and sound effects flat out won't play, most notable are the explosions, gun sound effects and some door opening sounds. I also ended up out of bounds twice by just sinking through the floor, causing my character to die. The second time this happened led to a game-breaking bug, because my character was carrying an important quest item that couldn't be recovered. The game also crashed on me during cutscenes and loading times, and there's no autosave. Thank you, Ubisoft, for this waste of my time. Also when designing exploding enemies, please give the explosive barrels they carry the classic red color and don't place them in cramped corridors.
ubisoft connect.
more like ubisoft disconnect (from its playerbase)
Game would not launch, it kept going back to desktop mode, said it was running but I kept clicking on the exe and black screen. Uplay is an out dated launcher so initially it would not let me launch the game, I had to download ubisoft connect to even get past play. After that nothing but problems, game needs to be delisted , ubisoft has abandoned this pile of trash game so should steam
Good
UPDATE:
It seems Ubisoft or Valve released some kind of patch or update for this title, and my copy is now running smooth. Be advised, there is another review here that explains on going into the files itself and downloading a specific Ubisoft software; this is what I did and I followed their instructions to the letter. With that, it is still a way bigger hassle to have to download 3rd party software just to run one game, and so for the technologically savvy, I recommend this. For those of you out there that are wanting something to be able to play on download, I would pass this one up until it goes back on sale.
Fun!
Game breaking bug where mission item gets stuck and will not clear. cannot pick up mission keycard item when i have the mission book item. I handed the book to the doctor already and it wont clear the single mission item slot. not worth starting a new game to test,
buggy as hell, play on consoles but not PC
I know this game from the good old Wii U times and I love it. Runs really good on any handheld PC. It comes from a time when Ubisoft was not greedy. It's a shame there aren't more single player games like this. But 20$ it's a little bit too much. Wait for a sale.
You can't even play this game anymore. The launcher for it known as "Uplay" isn't even a thing anymore. This game shouldn't even be in the steam store. Buying this game would just be a waste of money. I got it on sale for 75% off so I'm not tripping hard about the 5 bucks lost. Just really wanted to play this on PC at higher frame rate. Would not recommend purchasing at all.
sadly good game doesent work, thanks ubisoft
This game has clunky aiming and shooting the story is interesting but it will leave you wanting more its not a easy game by any means it has a survival mode that will leave you saving often. i recommend getting it on sale. 3/5
Absolutely loved the original on the WiiU, bought it on both steam and playstation after my first playthrough. A really solid game, might not be the most impressive thing out there, but it's a fun play through.
Brains!!
Have to restart pc everytime to get the game to launch through Ubiconnect.
I hate this launcher.
I absolutely adore this game. My dad bought it for me when I was 12 for the WiiU and I played it nonstop. Now that I'm older and bought myself a PC, I was so excited to see it available on Steam. Seeing all the negative reviews makes me very sad because I love this game-but I will point out that I despise Ubisoft and I understand and agree with all the valid criticism.
What I love about this game:
-action packed
-story rich
-intense
-jump scares!!!
-excellent replay-ability
What I don't love:
-It can be quite buggy. I find more often than not a good restart fixes everything for me.
-Crashes a lot. Save your game often.
-It's pretty short. You can speed-run this thing in less than two hours and not miss too much.
All in all, should they be selling this game for $26 CAD? Probably not.
Do I personally think it's worth it? Yes :')
Steam has a really good return policy. Try it for an hour and if it's not for you, refund it! But I'm confident most horror/zombie lovers will enjoy it.
ZOMBIU made the WIIU worth it 9.5/10
Definitely not gonna log into uplay to play a singleplayer game i bought on Steam. Get rid of this nonsense!
The game is good, challenging but good
This game was my childhood on Wii U, While on PC is somewhat better with the new updates but its very buggy with sounds and zombie bodies flying after you kill them. all honesty this will always be my first and favorite zombie game.
This was the game that introduced me to gaming. Before I could play games I had zero motor function in my hands and this game when it was launched on the Wii U I wanted to play it and I did. Even though this game is pretty much a basic game for the time its still a decent game and has one of the most memorable soundtracks and levels I still remember to this day. I really do recommend this game.
Also it predicted the Queen Liz would die LOL
game was cool, but its trynig to conect to ubishit services and wont launch anymore. bro fuck ubishit
Uplay, and needed mods to fix audio that was bugged (which apparently only got bugged by one of Ubisoft's updates lmao)
Ubisoft: I am immensely happy that your company is dying. This game is the only one that I can consider any good. This game came out in 2012 on the WiiU.
Good riddance.
A fun, compact game where you play as just a regular survivor just trying to make it.
The simpler and shorter story might be barebones but I like how contained and small it all is, really hammers home how insignificant you are in the grand scheme of things, the gameplay is fun and the atmosphere can be tense especially if you're playing the permadeath difficulty.
Definite recommend for anyone who likes zombie games.
It is a fun games just very glichey and could not get it to start at first I had to log in to a ubisoft account for steam.
The Worst Game I Don't Like Is U Play I Can't Play It With This U Play I Wunt U Play Gone UBISOFT !
I love this game, I used to play it when I had a WiiU and definitely wasn't as buggy on there, it's an amazing game but I can't play the game, as the game won't let me progress due to the game not giving me the next set of missions to complete, as without this crucial step in the games progression mechanics, you won't get past the start of the game or move onto the other parts of the story, and there is a lot of content that won't be able to be accessed or even seen without being able to progress :(
The game is too buggy to play, and I'm glad the multiplayer mode wasn't added on the pc version at least due to how buggy the main game is-
Overall a good game but game breaking bugs let it down (and there will never be any updates/bug fixes either so rip to a wonderful and nostalgic game)
I was honestly on the fence if I should give this game a positve review. It's one of the times I wish Steam would allow a "middle thumb". I will list the positive and negative points. Here goes:
+ interesting storyline based on the prohpecies of famous occultist John Dee
+ "very British"
+ nice graphics for a 2015 game
+ controls nicely with mouse and keyboard
+ fair save points and difficulty
But:
- Bugs: Sometimes zombies won't spawn as scripted, making progress impossible and a reload necessary.
- "Ping"-Radar is quite useless
- no feeling of suspense: In "The Last of Us" the Infected find me and chase me. Here, they either pop up out of nowhere or you have to go looking for them.
- false audio-cues. There are a few places where the audio cues indicate danger or you hear zombies but there's nothing there.
I will continue playing this due to the unusual setting and interesting storyline. But when it comes to gameplay, it isn't even remotely comparable with "The Last of Us" or "Left 4 Dead" (which were both released earlier or around the same time. So I'm not being unfair by comparing a 2015 game to a "modern" game).
For anyone having the issue with UPlay. Check out the guide (install Ubisoft Connect from the game files). With that it's easily solved.
AMAZING!!!! bought this game on sale and played it for the first time since the wii u still a blast. pretty short tho.
This isn't bad, but in a market this saturated there are so many better options.
This game is great! To all of the people who are having trouble launching the game because of Uplay. Go into the game location folder and launch the Ubiconnect installer. Launch the app and log into your Ubisoft account or create one if you don't have an account and link the game to your newly created account. The game launches just fine on windows 11. Should work fine on windows 10 as well.
As for the game play and graphics, the game play is good, I have loved the game since it came out on the WiiU. The graphics are good considering how old the game is. So that doesn't bother me. I play a lot of older games as well as newer games.
