The nail-biting survival experience of ZombiU™ has been upgraded for download on next-gen consoles and PC. ZOMBI takes the power of the latest generation of hardware to bring you a new level of horror. Test your will to survive, but beware: death is permanent, and one wrong move can cause you to lose everything.
Features
PURE SURVIVAL HORROR
Resources are scarce, your enemies are numerous, and you never know when you’ll find more weapons, ammunition, first aid, or food. How you allocate your resources determines if you live or die.
WITH PERMADEATH, EVERYTHING IS AT STAKE
Survival is not guaranteed. Once you die, your character becomes infected and joins the horde of undead shambling through London. You’ll come back as an entirely new character and try to survive, again, with your first mission being to retrieve your previous character’s supplies.
BUG-OUT BAG
Your bug-out bag holds all your possessions, tools, inventory, first aid kits, maps, and more. Don’t get distracted, as zombies can attack you at any moment. If you die, your bag stays with your old character, who is now a zombie. Will you risk it all to get your bag back, or start scavenging anew?
LONDON CALLING
Survive in a city steeped in grisly history, royal secrets, and bloody tales. Navigate through the medieval Tower of London, stately Buckingham Palace, and modern streets swarming with mobs of the undead.
THE UNDEAD RETURN
Combining the horror of ZombiU with refined gameplay and upgraded graphics, ZOMBI brings the survivalist first-person shooter to next-gen consoles and PC. Adapted to a single screen experience, the active pause system still makes you vulnerable while scanning your environment, completing mini-games or searching your inventory & equipment.

Uplay, and needed mods to fix audio that was bugged (which apparently only got bugged by one of Ubisoft's updates lmao)
Ubisoft: I am immensely happy that your company is dying. This game is the only one that I can consider any good. This game came out in 2012 on the WiiU.
Good riddance.
A fun, compact game where you play as just a regular survivor just trying to make it.
The simpler and shorter story might be barebones but I like how contained and small it all is, really hammers home how insignificant you are in the grand scheme of things, the gameplay is fun and the atmosphere can be tense especially if you're playing the permadeath difficulty.
Definite recommend for anyone who likes zombie games.
It is a fun games just very glichey and could not get it to start at first I had to log in to a ubisoft account for steam.
The Worst Game I Don't Like Is U Play I Can't Play It With This U Play I Wunt U Play Gone UBISOFT !
I love this game, I used to play it when I had a WiiU and definitely wasn't as buggy on there, it's an amazing game but I can't play the game, as the game won't let me progress due to the game not giving me the next set of missions to complete, as without this crucial step in the games progression mechanics, you won't get past the start of the game or move onto the other parts of the story, and there is a lot of content that won't be able to be accessed or even seen without being able to progress :(
The game is too buggy to play, and I'm glad the multiplayer mode wasn't added on the pc version at least due to how buggy the main game is-
Overall a good game but game breaking bugs let it down (and there will never be any updates/bug fixes either so rip to a wonderful and nostalgic game)
I was honestly on the fence if I should give this game a positve review. It's one of the times I wish Steam would allow a "middle thumb". I will list the positive and negative points. Here goes:
+ interesting storyline based on the prohpecies of famous occultist John Dee
+ "very British"
+ nice graphics for a 2015 game
+ controls nicely with mouse and keyboard
+ fair save points and difficulty
But:
- Bugs: Sometimes zombies won't spawn as scripted, making progress impossible and a reload necessary.
- "Ping"-Radar is quite useless
- no feeling of suspense: In "The Last of Us" the Infected find me and chase me. Here, they either pop up out of nowhere or you have to go looking for them.
- false audio-cues. There are a few places where the audio cues indicate danger or you hear zombies but there's nothing there.
I will continue playing this due to the unusual setting and interesting storyline. But when it comes to gameplay, it isn't even remotely comparable with "The Last of Us" or "Left 4 Dead" (which were both released earlier or around the same time. So I'm not being unfair by comparing a 2015 game to a "modern" game).
For anyone having the issue with UPlay. Check out the guide (install Ubisoft Connect from the game files). With that it's easily solved.
AMAZING!!!! bought this game on sale and played it for the first time since the wii u still a blast. pretty short tho.
This isn't bad, but in a market this saturated there are so many better options.
This game is great! To all of the people who are having trouble launching the game because of Uplay. Go into the game location folder and launch the Ubiconnect installer. Launch the app and log into your Ubisoft account or create one if you don't have an account and link the game to your newly created account. The game launches just fine on windows 11. Should work fine on windows 10 as well.
As for the game play and graphics, the game play is good, I have loved the game since it came out on the WiiU. The graphics are good considering how old the game is. So that doesn't bother me. I play a lot of older games as well as newer games.
UBiSoft is trash. Uplay is dookie. I hope Ubisoft explodes like the planes during 9...
This game is amazing. Plenty of reviews are out-of-date, so, you can still play , no need to download any random program. From what I see. You are forced to load up the game through the Ubisoft launcher, not sure on the implications of such, but the game runs really well. Only time I got a crash so far was when I fast traveled and got sent to my OS.
I'm still currently playing the game, trying to finish it on survival. So when I finish, I will update this with a better understanding of game play. Right now, This game is amazing.
Notes: Manhole in Palace bunker next to the Doctor can crash your game.
Ubisoft Zombie game pretty decent.
wanted this since I was 6 years old, 10/10 i shat my pants
This is a cult classic game, I hope they remastered it soon.
This game is fun the first time you play it for sure ,but after the game it self crashing ,you falling through the floor ,raging over zombie blokadge and anything else. I do still recommend it beacause why would I 100% a game i hate? Nostalgia is what dragged me through and to be honest it isnt that bad if you look over the issues and just purely enjoyed it. In conclusion it is mostly nostalgia and zombie killing fun.
this game is probably dated now but back when i played through it in 2013~14 i thought it was a fun zombie game. you get to run all through London . when a character dies you have to find them and kill them to take your loot back. i remember being frustrated occasionally but i got through it.
update: i was wondering how this could have so many bad reviews. i read them and apparently it has to do with uplay being needed to run it. i think i had to install it when i played but dont remember, If i where you id do some research on the issue before i spent money. i did really love this game 10 years ago.
fun
[h3]The graphics are disgusting.
yeah okay look, its buggy, its janky, its short, and the graphics look like shit. But i still love it and it is one of my all time favs.
Trash game. Did not get to meet the Royal Family.
loved this game on the WiiU but this version wants a Uplay account to play and the create Uplay account button doesnt work. soooo cant even open the game. would rebuy if they take that off in the future but for now literally unplayable
Unmappable controls (except through steam), persistent white artifact on right of screen, difficult to launch first time due to "cd key" bug, multiplayer cut from original. Weird to say, but just get the wii u version if you have a wii u. The original is just a better game overall and pretty immersive with gamepad functions.
A fun, decent zombie game.
Don't mind the 'mixed' reviews, the VAST majority are complaining about the game requiring Ubisoft Connect. This shouldn't be an issue if you've bought and played any Ubisoft game prior to 2020. Even if you haven't, you can easily find Ubisoft Connect on the Ubisoft website for Zombi.
And now to talk about the game:
Pros:
+Great atmosphere
+Unique world setting (England)
+Good enough story
+Decent gameplay
+Easy Steam achievements
+Short loading times
+Goes on sale for cheap
Cons:
-Bad graphics/textures. This is a 2015 port of a 2012 WiiU game - this has the graphics of a mobile game
-Short game - average playthrough is 5-6 hours
-Somewhat clunky gameplay - must get in range for button prompt for an animation to climb/crouch/vault
-Very linear. Despite being able to wander and explore small-medium sized open world maps, there are no side missions.
Overall: While this game doesn't do anything special, I recommend this game due to its great atmosphere, unique setting, and decent gameplay. This game's combination of those aspects make it a unique experience, one that I struggle to think of any zombie games that deliver a similar experience.
I honestly think the game is great. I mainly discovered it from watching H2O Delirious a long time ago and genuinely thought the idea of dying just to end up playing as a new character and having to recover all your things off your dead corpse was pretty kool.
Zombies in this game
your character will fall into the void 8 hours into the campaign right before the finale and you won't be able to get the items back you need to progress to said finale. great game otherwise but you need ubisoft connect to play it
pretty mediocre.
It has one of the most classic zombie gameplay i ever seen a bit hard when you try survival but worth it
Do not bother the game does not work. So it is locked to an old Uplay launcher that will never sync due to Ubisoft abandoning it long ago. An you cant force to run offline due to it needing an online check apon first start. I tried to get it to run on both steam deck and desktop and it just wont. Shame this game was good when i was able to play it on other platform but on here it will never work and for that save your money and your time.
cool game, you dont need uplay like people say. you can use ubisoft connect
I shat the bed
You can't even start the game, I have to register through Ubisoft's DRM and they require a CD Key/Activation Key. Steam doesn't give me one. I knew I shouldn't have wasted my money on a Ubisoft game but I heard this one was unique enough and it was on sale for $2. Now I know why they were selling it for $2, to people like me who will buy it and sit on it past the refund period knowing they won't be able to launch the game.
This kind of stuff shouldn't be allowed to be on Steam anymore to be honest. Don't waste your money, you won't even be able to launch the game due to Ubisoft's DRM. Don't you love when DRM specifically blocks out their paying customers? That's definitely the point of DRM...
Purchased the game only to find it is unplayable due to it being tied to an unusable and outdated secondary service, where the only solution is to download another secondary service. A complete waste of time.
I do not know why this has mixed reviews. I had no problem while playing it and it was fun and atmospheric. I always wanted to play this game since it was released on WII U
Uplay server won't connect , game won't load , and I won't bother anymore.
My "in-game" time is trying to solve tech issues courtesy of Ubisoft launcher ...
AVOID.
Despite what the negative reviews say, this game still works. You just need to install UbiSoft Connect (the successor to UPlay).
This game was a Wii U exclusive. The unique features were that while you were looting, lockpicking, or managing your backpack, you would need to look down on the gamepad. The game isn't paused so you can get attacked while doing this. You could also scan the environment with the gyroscope (I think).
The graphics are terrible, its way too dark and objects look like blobs with the low quality textures. The gameplay is linear and not challenging. The voice acting and story (from a video I've seen) is pretty good though.
It looks like UbiSoft jumped on the Nintendo console bandwagon again. Rayman 4 was cancelled because of the Wii and we get an awful game because of the Wii U. I think they and Nintendo were expecting people to just drop their pants for the Wii U gamepad and forgot about good gameplay.
Very nice little game , went in with low expectations , was pleasantly suprised by the atmosphere and found myself captivated by the little story they've got. Janky gem
Absolute bullshis. It might be a fun game if I could even PLAY IT. No; I keep getting this stupid run-around of signing in to an account, but I can't make an account. ??? Money wasted.
It Is truly shocking how frequently this game crashes. half the time when you go to save it crashes and you restart. Great other than the huge amount of bugs.
Good game though simplistic.
Issue is it requires a uplay account and worse it's the old launcher that is not even supported.
It can be bypassed but since that breaks TOS I can't recommend the game as of right now
amazing horror game and the jumpscares
I liked this game, which makes it a shame that due to an error with the uplay launcher no longer even loads. Guess I will go grab the CODEX version to keep playing a game I paid for.
It's just an average day in london.
Game is good
The game it self is good but a little buggy sometimes the kills of the zombies will be like an ragdoll and the sound effects doesn't work sometimes.
(If you don't have a Ubsoft Account or you don't have an a account on the PC) When I first launch this game it ask me to make a Ubsoft account on Uplay (Old Ubsoft Connect) but it won't let me to make an a account because the severs are shut down on Uplay, until 20 minutes later I've search online about Uplay but noting pop up besides Ubsoft Connect so I made an a account to use Ubsoft Connect and download the app on my PC then I logged on the app and linked my steam account on it. Then I found ZOMBI on Ubsoft Connect on my library, then I load ZOMBI up on steam and it worked it took around 35-40 minutes trying to figure out how to make the game work. 2 days later since I brought the game around £16 and it's works fine. (and making this review)
Sound Bugs, Resolution Issues, and the fact that the one thing that made this game special isn't possible on PC which was the god damn Wii U pad, this game is such a super mediocre zombie game without the Wii U. Do not waste your money on this game, Plus you'd be supporting Ubisoft so don't do that either.
The best worst game
