This might be the greatest game EVER MADE! The amount of spamming your mouse is sure to impress any woman who sees you play this masterpiece. The graphics are so amazing it feels like I'm feeding my actual fish as they fend of the alien hordes. Would recommend this game to anyone ages 5-95.
I used to play this game when I was younger and always enjoyed it. I recently got it and still enjoy it just as much as I used to!
i haven't played this game long but it was just the nostalgia i needed to get me by, just knowing its in my library makes me happy to know i can always go back to this classic.
Super fun game from the 2000s. Lots of cool fish and super addicting! :D
Very nostalgic. Played this game a lot as a kid. I forgot the name of it for a while, but recently saw art depicting it and found my interest in playing it again. Just as simple yet fun as it was back then. Though, now, my right hand hurts a bit from all the frantic clicking lol
lowkey an incredibly fun game that i recently got back into on a whim. check out the insaniquarium subreddit its cool there. also the insaniquarium roleplay on roblox (i call brinkly)
is fish tank and then oh no alien come steal fish why he do dat to my lil guys :(
A classic selling for wonderfully cheap. The gameplay elements are silly but play well - the money scaling of the growing tank and unique fish, the supporting fish, and the weird aliens to kill - and make for a unique and memorable experience.
This was an impulse buy, I got it for a dollar. It's peak in some abstract way. Very, very simple gameplay that scales up to a dramatic degree. You will have to click a lot on the later stages, though, but the community seems to have several solutions for that so you won't end up hurting your hand. I'd recommend this game, but also recommend looking into that.
This game slaps. I think about fish and aliens 24/7. I have nightmares about missing coins when they hit the ground. Huge shout out to stinky the snail. Even bigger shout out to Angie.
The precursor or grandaddy of clicker games without immediately turning into an "idler". The challenge in this is to click (spam L2 on Steam Deck) and avoid getting carpal tunnel. You're gonna raise an aquarium, the best damn aquarium you've ever raised, and then kill aliens, make money and flaunt your abilities once again on the next level. This is often 80% off, it's worth the purchase of a 2010's app store game. It has the energy of a 2000s flash browser game, and genuinely is the one of the greatest CASUAL GRANDMA'S GAMEs ever made.
Some nostalgic fun for everyone! Loved to play this on my mom's desktop when I was young, nice to see I can still play it today!
simple aquarium arcade game with lots to offer. remember playing this back in the day as a kid and really enjoy it even now
What's your favorite pet fish? Mine's Preggo. This game brings nostalgic memories; I used to play this in primary school during computer classes. I love the sound them fish make when you feed them -- "seulfp", just iconic! It's simple point and click game where you feed fish guppies, fight aliens that attack your tank. Keep your fish alive, earn monies, buy eggs and pass the level. Simple but each level has some new challenges to them. After the final boss, you can replay the game and unlock more pets. 10/10 game. Nostalgic.
Be mindful that you are buying a game made in 2001 with a locked screen resolution, but a really good one! I love Insaniquarium!
i did not have the steam dll issue, instead the game would start with the menu being off center
the fix was thanks to a comment from 11 years ago; browse local file click properties of insaniquarium and the deluxe exe, compatibility tab and turn on "run in 640x480" on both
beside that misfortune; tis a good game
Perfectly unchanged by time. It's still the same game I remember playing years ago.
Insaniquarium Deluxe is a 2004 PopCap Game's classic. While it's technically considered a puzzle game, there's a lot more than what meets the eye. It really shines because of it's simplicity; no microtransactions, no complicated skill trees, no need to rebind half of the keys on your keyboard so the gameplay feels "right". Nothing against modern games, but it's a nice breath of fresh air.
There's a lot of great aspects of this game that make it so addicting -- fun upgrades, varied enemies, and (my personal favorite) 20+ pets with unique abilities that support your efforts to expand your aquarium and hold off the hoards of aliens looking to feast on your hard work. Personally, I like to run Wadsworth, Rufus, and Vert because they were my favorites when I was a kid. I remember initially being terrified of Vert, because as a child, I had never really perceived mortality before, and the idea of something continuing to live after death confused and frightened me. I'd stare at him as he'd aimlessly drift among the schools of living guppies, wondering if Vert understood his twisted immortality or if he was simply devoid of any thought at all. My own thoughts would race and I would look to Rufus for comfort, but the perpetual frown carved upon his chitinous shell made me understand something. Vert was seemingly unphased by the theoretical nightmare he embodied, and yet Rufus the Crab, an animal that is understood to be the "perfect evolutionary design" that many creatures inadvertently end up mimicking, was locked in a state of inexplicable misery. Truly, is death worse than life? Or do we simply fear what we do not understand? I quickly plucked the pills that I had dropped for the guppies out of the tank and into my own mouth. As they began to take hold of my psyche, I looked to the last bastion of safety I had: Wadsworth. Alas, even he would come to abandon me, his little smirk slowly unhinging into a gaping maw and expanding beyond the limits of the tank, nay, reality, and allowing me to understand the folly of my questions. The dead can move, but they choose not to, knowing that it would strip them of the eternal peace that has been bestowed upon them.
If you're looking for a nostalgic romp through a classic game, I can't recommend this more! Just wish they'd update this port to have more resolution options for modern monitors, but I understand why we probably wont ever see that (thanks EA).
This is a bad game, bottom line. These positive reviews are crazy.
-lack of menu options, terrible fullscreen or tiny non-sizable window
-feeding food isn't 1:1 food per click, and its bad and you can't tell where you're feeding and a lot of times it just despawns. Great design.
-I would go further but i don't want to.
This game is bad

all time legendary classic from the era of cd pc games. immaculate game. i loved it as a little kid and i love it as an adult. i remember scouring the internet to find this game as an adult when i randomly remember it and how good it was. i eventually found it and this is a rare example of rose-tinted memories being accurate. 10/10. an obscure, slept on legend. great game for adults or if you have a small child you need to entertain.
PopCop is one of the best developers of casual games in the world. I remember playing this game in the early 2000s on Flash and really enjoying it. Damn, it was eternity ago... There is also another game made by PopCop which I played in the early 2010s and which I really liked as well - Plants vs Zombies. It makes me question when PopCop will deliver us a brand new and original project which will be as iconic, as those two games.
really really fun and a throwback to my childhood but started bugging out in adventure mode once I got to the octopus chef. logged off for the night and came back to be on level 0-0 and whenever i try to play it bugs out. my little aquarium works fine though?
fishy everywhere (play this and you get carpal tunnel)
I'm pushing 40 and I feel 10 again.
chill offline game thats actually addicting cheap and you can pay for cooler fish but if you do the adventure and get the right pets like the clam the robot fish and the mermaid combo u can stack gold pretty quick and i still have a good amount of pets to obtain as well
game cant handle too many fish on a good graphics card
Boy oh boy where do I even begin. Prego... honey, my pookie fish. I have loved you ever since I first laid eyes on you. The way you give birth and strike fear into your enemies eyes. Your silky smooth touch around the aquarium, and that gorgeous belly. I would do anything for you. I wish it were possible to freeze time so I would never have to watch you retire. You had a rough childhood, but you never gave up hope. You are even amazing out of the aquarium, you're a great wife and mother, sometimes I even call you mom. I forvever dread and weep, thinking of the day you will one day die. I would sacrifice my own life it were the only thing that could put a smile on your beautiful face. You have given me so much joy, and heartbreak over the years. I remember when you first unhatched from the egg and its like my heart repaired. But a tear still fell from my right eye when I watched you give birth to your first guppy, because deep down, my glorious queen deserved it. I just wanted you to return back to the aquarium. Then allas, you did, my sweet baby girl came home and I rejoiced. 2001 was a hard year for us baby, but in 2004 you made history happen. You came back from an alien wiping out the aquarium and I couldn't believe it. I was crying, bawling even, and I heard my glorious queen release a guppy. Not only have you changed the game of insaniquarium and the world forever, but you've eternally changed my world. And now you're getting older, but still the goat, my goat. I love you pookie bear, my glorious queen, Prego.☺️♥️
fcking best game ever very nostalgic, very comforting
i've played this game since i was a kid, one could even say this game raised me... i wouldnt say that but im sure somebody else would say that..... it's exactly as avertised though, an insane and an aquarium, ggot aliens and whatnot, exactly what you would expect from pre EA popcap.... ea fucking ruined this property, i would [redacted] before i'd ever want to see the EA reboot of this property
Pretty fun game I played as a kid. It's very spam click heavy to the point that I almost stopped playing because my arm hurt but just ended up using an autoclicker. It's worth playing with how short it is I think.
This game involves clicking. A lot of clicking. There's no shame in using an autoclicker if it starts to hurt.
Gameplay consists of -- you guessed it -- feeding fish. That, and fighting aliens.
Despite the simple gameplay, there is novelty to be found with every level.
Each stage (tank) has its own set of fish which constitute a small food chain, and each level introduces a new pet for you to use.
Would recommend for anyone with the stamina for clicking or an autoclicker.
Also, folks! I have discovered that aliens have had invincibility frames after damage the entire time! Pace your clicking and actually buy the gun upgrades for killing!
The fish die because they won't eat then say BLAWAWAWAGA,also they swim towards the aliens because they are innocent and think no harm will come to them, aliens take advantage of this and behave wrongly abusively towards them.
this game go's absolutely HARD!
no human being has ever witnessed such peak in their entire lives until this game came out. all other art forms that come after this pale in comparison and will never live up to insaniquarium
ow my index finger, glad i can finally finish this game tho its very fun
My 2 year old son loves it. He can't really hold a mouse yet, so when the alien comes out, he just pulls my hand toward him and repeatedly hits the first button he sees, which happens to be the cursor speed button on my logitech vertical mouse.
We have trouble beating the aliens because he's grabbing my hand (that's holding the mouse) and not letting the mouse move, but that doesn't really matter.
Of course, I loved the game back when it first came out, more than 20 years ago, but that doesn't really matter either.
I try to do anything and the game crashes, great and fun, will try again.
I have spent over a full day feeding these fish. Can I please have another Insaniquarium game? Its pretty good and would be wicked cool with 2024 quality tech.
Edit:
Thats just my steam game time too
lots of fish. such nostalgia. 10/10
