I've never played anything quite like it. It's a bit short, but it's the first in a series. It made me laugh multiple times, and who doesn't need a laugh now and then?
I can't fully recommend this game, as it has many flaws, even by adventure game standards, but it's not really bad either. It's straight down the middle 5/10, mediocre, unimpressive but not offensive (well some of the jokes might be, but I think that was the point.)
Overall, if you don't mind needing a guide for nonsense puzzles, then this is an okay option. I hear the sequels are better anyway.
Jesus Christ I have both SD cards and the DVD so HOW in God's name do I use the SD card on the computer?! I've played every adventure game from Zork to Tex Murphy to Maniac Mansion all of which contain various interfaces and even though I took the tutorial which the game wouldn't even get me complete, this interface is clunky the game's pacing and sense of humor is painfully slow. It's also lame that you have to trigger a certain object in order to do the puzzles meaning you just wander around the scene aimlessly repeating the same thing over and over. Shame because the graphics are beautiful.

This P&C commits two capital transgressions:
- It's verbose like you wouldn't believe. I've seen some logorrhea in games, but this one takes the biscuit. It's fully voiced, and decently so, but that doesn't alleviate the abrasion.
- Bad puzzles. Half of them simply consist of exploring all dialogue options. The rest is full of combinations that seem random even after you see their result. On top of that, you've got unresponsive spots that only and silently become responsive after arbitrary events occur. Awful.
So annoying that I could only bear the game in short sessions. A pity considering the good art, the great music and a decent interface, including a hot spots key. The humour is weak but I did smile twice so that is not completely lost.
I would almost recommend, but the ratio wait/play is just too high.
A decent, funny p’n’c adventure with meandering plot and political undertones in 3 episodes. Generally, it works, but it won’t be for everyone.
Despite a few optimization issues at set up and game’s insistence to be played in windowed mode whenever it starts, overall it runs smoothly and has bright cartoonish 3D environments that are pleasing to the eye and set the mood for the comedic tone of the story. It’s a classic point’n’click but with one of the most unintuitive, inconvenient inventory set-ups I’ve come across in a long while. If you always skip adventure game tutorials, try this one – it’ll save you time on figuring out how to navigate the game.
Once you got the hang of the belt system, you’ll jump into the game which runs mostly on extensive dialogue, side quests and said inventory-based puzzles which hover somewhere around “Fairly Easy”. Since everyone’s “easy” is different, there’s built-in hint system (the “Ask Your Friend” kind) and the characters occasionally will point you to the right direction by saying helpful stuff after you left them standing for a minute or two. So, no worries, Purple Patriot (aka Kyle Keever) and his trusty British sidekick Mel won’t leave you hanging when it comes to puzzles…
What they will leave you hanging with is the story. Strangely, Supreme League of Patriots’ weakest link is the plot, and strongest – the dialogue. Rarely do those two go such separate ways.
We start with mildly interesting episode 1 and Kyle’s desire to win the American superhero contest as man in tights – Purple Patriot; then dip into snooze-inducing and rather pointless (besides showcasing writers’ satirical wit, perhaps) episode 2, where not much happens at all (getting superhero stuff together while fighting bureaucracy); and go on to somewhat better episode 3 with a slightly more ambitious, yet still anticlimactic events (Two countries showdown. No, it isn’t as grand as it may sound). It’s all fairly aimless and lacking intensity even for a game that’s, in a nutshell, a political parody. Stakes are never high enough to really care, and often go low enough to be bored.
It would be a “not to recommend” game if it wasn’t for the satire, irony and witty banter between classic British dry humor of Mel and hilarious generalizations and potty humor disguised as very eloquent statements by Kyle. Most of it is political and not for easily offended; but even if it occasionally gets too wordy and misses the mark, the dialogue is undoubtedly what carries this game a step further beyond “Eh, just forget it” category. The writing can be easily pulled into hundreds of quotes on everything from social norms to culture to gaming itself. Voice acting is on par with dialogue and works to amplify its frequent brilliance wonderfully. In a way, it saves the game.
Supreme League of Patriots will do the trick if you find yourself bored, running out of things to play. With not much of a story, but some good humor and pretty picture it levels out as an average run-of-the-mill adventure. It goes on sale often - all 3 episodes go for $5, so you can snag it then, if lots and lots of political banter is your kind of thing.
Not the best point&click on Steam but for a small money you can have few hours of fun. Dialogues are too long sometimes and the guy in the glasses can be boring, he tries too hard with the jokes.

The riddles aren't that hard but the puns and snark are fun.
If you like superhero parodies, dark quips that mock all sides of the political, social and cultural spectrum... then you'll get quite some fun with this one.
Definitely worth picking up though wait for a discount.
I laughed at the humour in this game - it is very well done. There were a few references to what I think were American reality tv celebrities (I'm not from the US so couldn't place the names) but that didn't subtract from what is overall a polished and funny game. I've played a number of adventure games over the years and I felt that the puzzles were quite logical and made a lot more sense than some of the puzzles I've played in other games.
Quite an enjoyable adventure game. I've still got a little bit to go and I think I'll actually finish this game which is unusual for me.
A really enjoyable game, though without a doubt it has it's fair share of flaws.
I bought this game on pre-order. As i was really fond of the cartoony style and enjoyed the type of humor put into the game.
The part where the game fails is sadly the way it actually play, which is without a doubt a quite major flaw, i don't play many point and click games like these, but have still played a few and this game is really damn hard. Hadn't it been for your sidekick giving you tips if you stand still for a while i wouldn't have gotten anywhere. The part i got stuck at was where you had to clog the toilet up as a distraction, since you actually needed to repeatedly stuff pieces of toiletpaper down the toilet rather than just stuff a whole roll of paper into it or something. I got stuck at the same chapter a little further on when i needed to get some items for a contraption.
Now, the thing the game really gets good is the sort of humor they have, i really enjoy the ironic referencial type of humor the game offers, the dev said he aimed at humor used in popular shows like South Park, Family Guy and The Simpsons as he enjoyed that type of humor himself.
Of course, the humor actually has its own flaws sadly.. Many pieces of dialogue are really long, and you can't skip them, which makes it frustrating when you're trying to figure something out or if you simply make an accidental click. I feel an update that involves a button to let you skip the dialogue would help the game alot.
The third error with the game which i really don't get, is why it was split into 3 games. The game didn't do like a Telltale game where you have to wait for another chapter, this game had ALL 3 parts complete when it was released. It just feels kinda bad that they choose to split a complete game into several games, if you have to split the game up. At least make it so you buy the first chapter and the other 2 parts are big DLCs or something instead.
For the money i spent though i felt the laughs were worth it, though i won't deny that this game could have done many things better in terms of gameplay.

Supreme league of Patriots is a point and click adventure in three episodes. As I finished the first episode “A Patriot is Born”, and thoroughly enjoyed it, here is a review based on the first one.
You will play Kyle (not the brightest character you’ll ever play), who is trying to enter the latest American Reality TV show, “America’s Got Super Powers,” as the Purple Patriot. His best mate, Mel who accompanies him at the audition, is an illegal alien in New York (just like “An Englishman in New York” from Sting, a fabulous song by the way) and has a fantastic and witty sense of humour.
The contrast between the two main characters really makes the game, in my opinion. You will also meet other very interesting characters, the likes of “The Cold War Warrior”, “Consuela” and the panel of judges who will give you plenty of surprises.
You will not have many difficulties in the puzzles but if you do, just speak with your counterpart and ask for his help; you will be pointed in the right direction.
The artwork is well done, a marvellous soundtrack and a fun story. It is refreshing to play a game that takes the mickey out of the society we live in!

Review - Supreme League of Patriots
Supreme League of Patriots is a point and click game wiwth a dash of humor and comedy. The game let's you take the role of both Kyle and Mel as they venture through the world of superheroes and supervillains. The story is a bit slow on the build up but the actual plot is very unique and original. Each issue comprises about 3-4 hours of gameplay depending on how you solve the puzzles in the game. The puzzles are easy and you won't get off track much since Melvin is there to guide you when you don't know/forgot what you should be doing. The dialgoues and voices are great especially Melvin's british accent.
Pros:
+ A great funny story plot
+ Great voice acting
+ Great Music (especially each character's BGM)
+ Good Graphics
+ Narrative guide (Mel gives you a hint when you get lost)
Cons:
+ There's a bit of bugs whenever you make Kyle go to an obtacle-full area
+ There are times that the voices become out of sync with the balloons/text that appear
If you're looking for a point and click adventure game full of humor, comedy, patriotism, superheroes and supervillains, then Supreme League of Patriots is a must try for you.
I already finished all 3 issues and I just can't wait for season 2! :D
The sound of the game and reviews made me think I'd love this game! Saracasm, politics, social commentary, woo hoo! But I couldn't stand the game after the first scene. I LOVE humor in games, Monkey Island and Book of Unwritten Tales are two of my FAVORITE adventure game series.
But for me, SLoP just seems to try way too hard, doesn't allow you to skip over a lot of boring, slow, dialouge that really just gets tiresome because it repeats over and over again (Which a lot of times there's no way to avoid if you're just trying to see if certain objects can go with other objects). Neither of the characters are likable, the plot seems drawn out (EVERYTHING seems drawn out), and the only thing I actually like are the colors and scenes.
* Edit: The other major problem I have with this game is that the item/inventory is too complicated. Why there is two ways to go about the inventory I can't figure out. Combining items doesn't come easy, and if you click on an item when there's nothing you can do with it-you'll have to hear repeated dialouge over and over.
I'm only continuing to play because I bought the game, but I'm not even thinking about buying the next episode.
I find it enjoyable. A simple yet entertaining game.
Down sides comes when I change from windowed. It doesnt do much, but minor things get a bit distorted. But this is not a big thing and doesn't do anything to ruin the playing experience.
Pros: Voice acting is very well done, can be quite humerous
Cons: Very slow pacing, puzzles are relatively straight forward but drawn out to the extreme.
Honestly this is more of a "mixed" review rather then a complete 'no' but don't get your expectations too high.
Played the first episode right through today and had a lot of fun with it. There is no deep story or mind bending puzzles here- just simple point and click, with a little inventory puzzling. It is silly and can even be annoying at times but in a good way.
Impossible to get stuck due to the ingame help system- the voice acting suits the characters as does the cartoony graphics.

Its a refreshing point and click game. You can't really take this game seriously but that's okay. It is fun in its own weird way. I'll try to sum up the pros and cons for you:
Pros:
+ the story is goofy
+ the character you play makes you feel relieved that you finished high school
+ nice background music
Cons:
- the graphics for the characters could be improved
- too much dialogue at certain points in the game which can be frustrating, especcialy if you have to talk to mell in order to find out where objects might be
- no flow in the game play. You have to talk to Mell a lot which is a pain in the ass with the amount of dialogue
Overall the game is fun to play but I do wish they would change some things:
* Moving around using ASDW
* shorter dialogues
* improved character graphics
* easier access to items while investigating/using them
* improve the main character's IQ so you don't need Mell for everything
If you like a goofy point and click game than this game is for you :)
