LEGO® Batman™: The Videogame

I have been having a blast revisiting this old timey gem! It works pretty well overall, but there are a few important things to consider before you buy.

First of all, there are occasional crashes. Emphasis on occasional; I don't get too many. But they do happen.

Second, it is IMPERATIVE that you turn on VSync in the options. Otherwise, Tech Suit Robin's car CANNOT go up slopes and you will be softlocked. So go into options, highlight the Vsync option, and move the arrow keys/control stick to the left/right. (Yes, it's a weird control option.)

Once you do that, though, you should be home free! I do recommend playing this with controller, but it is playable on keyboard.

So i got Lego batman i stared playing then i got to this part where robin has to control this mini car thing but it does not move it just spins in circles and i tried it like three times but still did not work then i deleted it and reinstalled it and still did not work so i am just going to watch a video for the first part of the game the i can just go to the bat cave and go to chapter 2. It looks like a good game and maybe did not work for me to i recommend it and see if it work but if not refund it or watch a video. this game is old to so that is probably why

it was fun getting the 100% in the game, even tho i am not the biggest batman fan. The only annoying parts of the game were the enemy spam sometimes and the bad ai of the 2nd character. Would definitely recommend.

great childhood memories were made with this game. glad to see that it still is just as fun. keep in mind that there are some settings you may have to turn off to make some of the movements work.

Great childhood game I used to have whenever I was younger, had a batman birthday cake and everything and got this game from my parents for the Wii. Brings good times to be honest, I say 10/10 game in terms of nostalgia.

Fun but a bit old, weirdly creates a little heat on my PC. Crashing error was annoying, but fixed by Vsync. Fun game and sometimes a bit puzzling, but so many ways to play levels, I can't complain.

Nostalgic

The game is great and very fun just like any other lego game that i have had. The only thing I have to say is that when i need to jump in levels, sometimes it will not let me and it makes it difficult to not onlly get through the levels, but makes it frustrating at times. If there is a way to fix this please let me know, but otherwise, great ggame, i love it!

17 minutes in and it crashed, this game is far too old to play properly. A relic of the past

100% percented the game, the only problem is that Ra has gul is completely useless since you get him after getting 100%.

i love this game! i used to play it with my bro and cousin when they were little and i was a bit younger then i am now lol xD but i loved it and i still do. i recommend this for xbox/ps2 for anyone who loves batman and robin and all the chars are nice!

A Nostalgic Classic! LEGO BATMAN: The Video Game is a fantastic game. Hearing the Danny Elfman score brings back SO MANY MEMORIES!

the first level is glitched/unable to be completed and there's many crashes. the little car can't fully go through the trap door to let you into the last section.

Nostalgic for anyone who likes the Animated Series and incredibly fun gameplay.

game fun as hell still holds up its basically lego arkham city/asylum but the character roster is pretty small unlike the other games and there isnt steam achievements cuz its old but thats the only real problems with it insanely easy though

I used to play this game a lot as a kid and enjoyed but can't even play it now because it crashes every 10 to maybe 30 minutes and when it does work within that time something in game won't work so can't finish the level. at this point it really disappoints me but this game sucks and can't even enjoy it. WHAT EVER YOU DO DONT BUY THIS GAME!!!! if you want to play lego batman play the other ones because they work and this one doesn't fucking work

Poor controls, lack of intuitive control setup. Need to turn on vsync and off again to fix buts otherwise you can't even play through the first level. No way to exit two player set up. This game is a mess.

A fun game and one of the biggest hits from Traveler's Tales LEGO Video Games when it first came out. Unfortunately the game doesn't keep any saved games when uninstalled, expect total reset when having to reinstall the game or if you uninstall the game for more space. Worth playing not worth losing all progress.

Lot of bang for your buck with this one since there are two sides to the campaign.
Also, this is one of the least troublesome ports from Traveler's Tales.

Going For 100% on all Lego Games 1st one i tried was this bc i played it on the Wii and have to say this is better than i remember The levels are pretty good im going through dc games 1st

Not my favourite Lego game but still pretty good. Could Easily recommend.

I had a blast with this ol' gem. I started the trilogy (+DC Supervillans) on LEGO Batman 2 back on the 360 and actually never touched this one. This was so much fun and more yet, not buggy!!! I didn't encounter a single bug in my 21 hours it took me to 100% it. So that is a thumbs up!

For Casuals:
It's legoing time and you'll feel your childhood oozing into every frame of this game, even if you weren't a LEGO game fan or LEGO fan as a kid lol. Just something about it screams 2007 gaming landscape to me. You'll have a blast either way as it's a LEGO game so its fun, funny, short and sweet. Overall I'd give it 9.5/10.

For 100%ers:
This is a little different in that they were very creative with the levels. I won't spoil anything but you'll either love it or hate it lol. Most likely love it though as they are so cool. But you do feel like you're running through the levels twice as much (4x instead of 2x w/story and free play). You'll understand what I mean. Overall for 100%ing I'd give it a 9/10 because of the previous stated. Otherwise bangin' time.

Overall:
If you're getting the game with the bundle of all three batman games I'd say it's the best out of the three Batman games with LEGO Batman 3 in second and LEGO Batman 2 in third. I think this game is a gem of a LEGO game up there with Star Wars The Complete Saga and Indy 1. So much nostalgia and just fun times. 100% recommend but don't make the silly choice of getting any of these old LEGO games for full price. Just get a key on G2A or Instant Gaming and you could get literally every LEGO game for like $40 in total. Most of these 2005-2012 games are less than $5 so just do that.

One of the big three original LEGO games (LSWCS and Indy) STILL holds up today despite all the glitches and soft locks. I'd rather play this more than another AAA rushed piece of slop. What happened to us gamers? we used to accept nothing but the best.

LEGO® Batman™: The Videogame is one of the best videogames I have ever played. It has changed my life for the better and has opened my eyes to new possibilities in life. It has driven me to be a better person and to truly become a "Super, Hero".

Lego game - You've played one, you've played them all.
It's more of a neutral opinion. You get the typical collecting studs and characters looking for secrets at the same time. However in this lego game there are moments when you don't know what you should do to progress, weird camera angles at times, pointless and irritating stick-to-wall mechanic. Apart from that, typical lego adventure with batman and friends.

This game was pretty fun, also a good way to learn about the more underrated villains that batman has gone up against.

It's old, glitchy, but it's really fun game from simpler childhood times.
Instant classic.

This game cured me of every illness i have ever had and i believe it may be something akin to the fountain of youth.

So let me explain why you should get this game. So it's a nostalgic game at least for me, it's not as hard as some say it's true it's a bit hard, and it's a good game you'll have fun.

THIS GAME IS TOO HARD FOR ME, DARK SOULS IS EASY COMPARED TO THIS >:(

it's very nostalgic, and the graphic is enhanced. would be better tho if they add some achievement to the game. but anyway, this game is gold!

100% Complete

Just finished 100% completing Lego STCS, ony interesting feature about Lego Batman 1 is that you can play as the villains and a few new gameplay mechanics, boss fights are sub-par and boring, the fight with Harley was running after her in a circle and that's it, sums up the rest of the game, if you value you're joy, skip this edition.

Reliving my childhood with this, the early Lego games sure are janky at times but they are definitely my favorites. Lego Batman is small as far as Lego games go, but I think there is plenty here to do and doesn't feel like it will take the next 20 years to 100%. I like the additional story mode, and the variety of characters. One thing I think the later games do well is assigning different powers to different characters. There are a good number of characters in this game (not a lot for a Lego game but I think it's enough) but most of them can be replaced in free play by 3-5 other characters with not a lot of distinction between them other than appearance. I just would like to have more of a reason to use each unique character, but that's a small and admittedly personal issue.

Lego Batman is awesome! Play it if you like Lego, Batman, fun, if you have a friend to play with, or like to play games.

Played it since i was a kid. Still enjoy the nostalgia that comes along with it.

Timeless Lego Classic and the best of the classic Lego trilogy

This is such a great Lego game! I loved it when I was a kid, and even now, I still enjoy playing it. It’s fun, easy, and simple—you can just play it without overthinking. The game is relatively short, with the story mode being completable within a few hours. Even though it lacks content compared to newer Lego games, it’s still a lot of fun. I had a really good time with it!

The villain levels are more fun because its not just Batman and Robin. The hero levels in this game feel like they just drag on but I've never actually played the game before until now besides the Wii but that doesn't count. The game is actually a lot of fun for me though because its my first time playing and I definitely recommend it to other people but I bought the game on sale but if you are going to purchase this great game then wait for it to go on sale because I had been waiting to buy it but then it had gone on sale and I bought every game, including the DLC's and I haven't gotten to those yet but I've played every other game. Please play this great game but there is no voicelines besides grunts. uh yeeuh.

Lego games really hold up well, even ones as old as this.

Some people have issues running this game on steam, I've had issues with other lego games but not this one and if you do just refund it.

It plays just as well as I remember and it surprisingly doesn’t feel too juvenile with how some of the puzzles run.
