You end up on with your damaged spaceship on a probably uninhabited planet, and while you deal with various crises such as the injury of your partner, you also have many puzzles and hidden object searches. Actually I would say too many, and the hidden object parts frequently require manipulating the objects to make something happen. The many puzzles are of types frequently encountered in these adventures, and they often seem to be superfluous and unrelated to the action. To me the game seemed very long: just as we were about to leave the planet in the now spaceworthy ship, there was a diversion to another planet and captivity in a dungeon. So is this a space adventure, or something else? I must add that the rough English translation leaves something to be desired. So all in all, I would recommend mainly to the most enthusiastic hidden-object enthusiasts and caution others.
I wanted to like this game. I love HOGS. But it did not play as intended. Some of the puzzles were actually mechanically broken. Theres an early one where you have to move a serries of dots to certain spaces. Once it worked as intended. Then it would only move one of the dots leaving the rest of them in the space without being able to move them. Another problem with the game were spelling errors. Or just plain errors like it asking for darts but the object being a dartboard. Or asking for a lamp but the object is a lightbulb. That sort of thing. The story is ok. The setting is decent. Nice change of pace from the always fantasy settings you usually see. I can't reccomend this one. Even if you get it on sale. Sorry.
If you enjoy sci-fi and Mid-evil times and say.. Why are they not intertwined then this is for you. The game is very strange to say the least but it was compelling and i enjoyed the ride. As far as these types of games go it was not frustratingly difficult, but i'd put it slightly above the average but don't let that scare you. The art was very nice, and the areas pleasant.
Over all thumbs up if your into hidden object adventures and want to try something unique.
Probably either the funniest or the worst hidden object game I have ever played
Decent HOG with quite complex puzzles.
There are more puzzles than hidden object scenes.
Storyline is fine but I would like to get more.
As usual when you stuck - visit previous places to find a hidden object scene.
P.S. There is a problem running the game - look community hub for solution
pros
- good looking graphics
- interesting sci fi and medieval settings
- inventory based hidden object puzzles
- story is not bad one
cons
- hint system not working the way ıt's supposed to be
- some really bad puzzles. i skipped them.
- pixel hunting
- game is short
this is not the worst hidden object and puzzle game but not the best either. only buy on sale.
First impression: not really bad as a hidden object game, but it is marred by technical problems. With my Windows XP setup, the ogg vorbis cutscene animations do not play properly, and the game does not save; and on Windows 10, the game did not run at all until display scaling was disabled.
Space Legends is not one of the greatest hidden object games I've ever played but it does have a certain appeal. The ambience is good and it has a nice soundrack, although the graphics are basic and it's well stocked with grammatical errors and mis-named items. There is no voice acting. It contains some of the hardest puzzles I've encountered in a HO game in a while and I found myself skipping a couple to avoid the time I knew it would take me to solve them. The story is, at least, different to the standard HO fare, which makes a change and adds to its appeal. It would be hard to recommend at full price but given that it can be had for a few pennies on sale it's worth grabbing at the reduced price if you need something to while away a few hours. I give it 6/10.
The hidden objects, some are WELL hidden, some you have to GUESS where the object is, sometimes using previous object you found, sometime not. Sometimes the object that will help you find the one you are looking for is hidden, sometimes need an object you found before to get it. :/ VERY irritating.
Otherwise, artword is great. Has map to aid getting around, highlighting where you are and highlighting areas you need to go in the storyline.
Still, a negative vote for the way the hidden object peeve listed above.
A pitty. Most of puzzle / hidden-object games have a recurrent story based on ghosts, pirates or both.
This game has some original puzzles and an original hidden-object approach also but, space? space?. The spatial sci-fi part is just the few first scenes. Very soon, the game goes back to topics. A real pitty.
In between scenes are poor and, story isn't well stiched and, doesn't glues everything together.
I didn't enjoy it.
A fairly good Hidden Object game that is sort of unusual in that it uses a science fiction theme, something you don't see too often in a genre mostly dominated by whodunnits and the supernatural. The graphics are quite pleasant and the music is good too and its a good 4 or 5 hours long. There are some translation errors which can make finding some objects a challenege but I have definitely seen worse in that regard. Worth a purchase of you are a HOG fan.
This is a really neat combination of Adventure and Hidden Object games. Most of the time you're adventuring with punctuated periods of Hidden Object finding. The Hidden Object stuff is better than pixel-hunting as things are usually out in the open. When they're not, it's because you have to perform a series of actions to create the necessary object. (e.g. load a pistol with a bullet to fire it at a target so that you can pick up a "target with a bullet hole".)
Perhaps the most interesting aspect is that some of the objects you find are important parts of the plot. This is MUCH more satisfying than your classic pixel-hunt nonsense that ultimately made adventure games so unpopular.
The story is chick-flick/romance clap-trap for teenage girls and lonely women, but if you can look past it you'll have some fun. You start in a space setting (fun!) but eventually move to a medieval setting after you "crash land". Again, just chillax, don't take it too seriously, and you'll have a good time.
I got this game on sale and thought it was a fun way to waste five hours. You will probably enjoy this game if you're a huge fan of adventure games, hidden object games, a casual player trying to relax, or if you fit within the target female demographic. Anyone looking for an epic story or hardcore action should probably pass.
An uninteresting hidden-object game with the most useless female lead ever. Seriously, this should be called Space Bimbo: I've Forgotten My Name, as it paints her as utterly inept and totally reliant on the man for everything. Does not really deserve to live on that basis alone.
