From the ashes of old America, a new world emerges, and an ersatz, post-apocalyptic, stillborn 80’s continues indefinitely, populated entirely by the toughest, meanest, and outright dumbest of God’s creations, the Wasters.
Live the life of a Waster, fighting tooth and nail, bullets and baseball bats over the most precious of unnatural resources, a liquid from beneath the sands that fuels all of un-civilization: Booze. Gain strange mutational Hangovers and explore the Coolers, mysterious underground bunkers, in search of powerful weapons, impressive armor, and a nice stiff drink to top it all off. Who knows, maybe you'll uncover some old world secrets while you're at it.
Or don't, because death comes quick in the Western Wastes, and what's yours today just might be picked off your pile of guts tomorrow.

Customize your character through the S.H.O.T.S. system by drinking irradiated bottles of Booze. Gain powerful Hangovers and mutate yourself with a myriad of permanent abilities. Bolster your strengths by wearing gnarly, 80's inspired clothing, and arm yourself with an impressive array of things to beat, shoot, disintegrate, or explode your enemies with!
...Or Get Wasted Trying
Explore giant, procedurally generated Coolers in search of loot, but beware vicious raiders, disgusting mutants, and a plethora of deadly traps that'll stop at nothing to turn you into a messy pile of guts. Make your way to the bottom-most level of the Cooler in any way you choose: sneaking your way past your foes, obliterating them with brute force, or maybe even fooling them into fighting one another. Scrounge up ammo and items from your surroundings and loot the bodies of dead enemies for their stuff. Just take care not to overextend yourself - when your character dies, they're gone for good.
Carve Out Your Own Little Slice Of The Wastes
Build up your persistent player home and keep it stocked with weapons and supplies to keep you alive and ticking. Carve out your own little slice of the wastes by fitting your house with amenities like workbenches, kitchens, and gardens and decorate it with junk you find through your travels. Should the wastelands relieve you of your livelihood, your stuff will live on for the next Waster who stumbles upon your home.
Leave Your Mark
The choices you make and the way you act will have profound effects on the future of the Western Wastes. Visit the various locales of the Western Wastes of California, trade sheets of TP for valuable supplies, and help other Wasters out by taking on their requests. Make friends with the wasteland's, um, more "interesting" personalities, and you'll be rewarded with unique goods and services. Who knows, you might even end up altering the future of the wastelands forever!

SUPA GUUD NUMBA WON
Yet another procedurally generated map, limited inventory, rogue-lite.
Inventory is poorly designed, they could have easily cleaned it up to be far less annoying and cause less interruption on the flow of combat and the game. also, why does armor, once worn, cost inventory spots?
Making taking hits not only knockback but pretty much stunlock is not a fun mechanic.
Finally, like many others have complained, the inclusion of a fixed timer before Mr DeathMcBaddass comes to get you is just annoying.
Glad I got it on sale, I just can't be bothered to play for even an hour when I already know what to expect. Bland.

This game has been such a blast, such a hilarious satire of the Fallout franchise with stupid humour and wild gameplay. When ya get into the swing of this gameplay loop its so much fun.
Been such a fun time playing it on and off throughout the years. I do wish there was challenge mode where you can relive the old gameplay loop and limitations and challenges. But the games perfect as is, thanks for coming back and making the game even more fun and wildly chaotic.

Solid Fallout/Mad Max apocalypse parody. It streamlines the gameplay loop in favor of randomly generated linear hallways that you must speed run through to either; get out or get as far as you can before a slow moving gigaboss tracks you down. Giving the option to 'get wasted' and drink alcohol that gives you perks and knocks you out, where you can wake up back in your home. There's no open world or large list of lootables to work with, it's mostly just the combat, running and looting gameplay. The character and charm does some heavy lifting throughout. While the gameplay can have lulls and repetitions. It's a fun romp and totally worth it on sale as it'll give you a few laughs. More interested to see how the developer learns from this and brings into their new project; Sunkissed City.
Very fun fallout parody roguelite, difficult for sure but the random generation is surprisingly fun and have found myself with dozens of hours of good times in this game.
An absolute classic. Fallout parody roguelike (wich is a weird mix of genres, i know) with progression and equipment based builds. Extremely good music and humour, especially if you are familiar with the fallout franchise. 100% recommended, especially since the creator just came back to give it more patches. Give it a try!
The game was always a pretty good time, but the dev coming back out of the blue after the whole Adult Swim/Warner Bros games being delisted and such stuff was a pleasant surprise.
Even more surprising was just how nice the little QoL patch he dropped for it was too! Completely removing stack items really smoothed out the flow of the game since you can just loot containers and keep running along.
It used to be looting was fast so long as things stacked, since it auto grabbed anything stackable from containers and such. But if you didn't have room you'd have to manually do it later. Plus stacks weren't overly huge even with perks to increase them so you'd want to maximize value by just eating and using whatever as soon as you found it.
It wasn't a huge patch, but each change was a noteworthy improvement and was greatly appreciated. The game was always a pretty good time, and the soundtrack is honestly fantastic too.
Dude really came back after half a decade and dropped a patch to make the gameplay loop Just Work.
Everyone thought we needed the ability to carry multiple stacks of the same item, turns out we just needed to be able to carry 1000+ of whatever in a single stack. Stackable loot automatically deposits itself into your inventory when you search a container. The old gameplay loop was opening every locker and checking to see if you could get a "free" medistim instead of using one of the precious few you can carry. If you got lucky you could throw a stack into a mailbox to start a second one, just to squeeze a few more resources out of this cooler run before an asshole with a minigun shows up. Now I stumble drunkenly through the halls of the cooler, opening and slamming lockers as fast as I can on a quest for more drugs and bullets. Sometimes some asshole with a minigun shows up, but I can carry as much ammo as I want and ger-nade launcher go Chick-Chick BOOM.
I have accumulated almost 10000 pistol ammo, I don't know what the new cap is.
A GEM
apparently this game got de-listed at some point, but is now back on the market. It's a fun roguelike, and even more fun with the binge edition mod. worth the $13 imo
its time to get wasted again boys
this game is actually goated, great fun, wish there was more of it every day
