TLDR: On the edge of being acceptable, with some quirk to it, but I will have to pass. Trial and error level progression makes it frustrating to stick around with.
Review: Although not listed on store page Xbox360 pad detected and works fine. Game prompts you to plug it in. Game has low production values, and the flash game grade audiovisuals made me very biaised against it. However it puts everything it has to put together an over the top save the princess narrative full of derpy looking characters, and did so with enough charm to get a passing grade on that. Mechanically it is a very simple to grasp platformer, you jump on a planet, rotate around it until you are in reach of another planet then jump on that, gather foodstuff and exit level. Each planet reacts differently and there are a few critters here and there to mess with you. Planets and critters have a lot of character as well and trippy looking. Some of the music segments looped too much and started irritating me and making me unable to enjoy levels. However once I beat the level the sound clip was changed to something different. Dont know how much variety there is in total but I suspect there is a chance that you would have to turn music off at some point. The game is suprisingly difficult, you constantly have to keep track of if you are up or down as this reverses your directional arrows, and there are a lot of hazards to kill you. You respawn fast and there are no lives limits. There are basically necessary items which must be collected in order, which are little crystal looking things, and cakes which are bonuses. There is often only one way to gather all the crystals in order and it takes a bit of trial and error to explore and engineer the correct way to get those and that does hurt the flow of the game and becomes a little bit of a chore. All in all it is hard to tell if this title has enough staying power to earn a permanent place in your library. I will have to say that it is too rough

I've played this game a little bit, and gone through a few levels and I love it. Get it on sale rather than spend £4 on it. I got it for 35p and I really enjoy it. Very casual, but a fun!
The characters are cool to be. Each one is a fun option. It can be a little tricky at first when you aren't used to the controls, so I recommend using a controler but it can still be played without one. The animation is bright and colorful and you are able to remain at your most recent save after dying which is good, because some portions can be a little tricky.
Game sounds cool... but I can't pass the character selection page... I select Conrad as player 1, press space, then press Enter to start.... aaaaand... well, nothing stuck on this page. Tried with a French keyboard layout and with the US, same issue.
Can't recommend in current state. Am I the only one who has this issue?

I've played a little of this game to do a bit of a review on youtube, it's a very cool looking game, the art style is awesome, the storyline is bonkers and the music is cool!
But oh man, that difficulty curve! It's vertical.
Levels one and two are easyish, no real tutorial. But then level 3, it goes from 2 bad guys to about 6, about 4 new concepts to adapt to.
And yeah, Xbox controller support... it works... but it's very difficult to adapt to as you push left to run one way and suddenly it switches direction!
But overall, I cannot wait to torture myself with this game more, it's awesome, challenging, could do with some fixes and balancing but it's just so cute!
It's at least worth a go!
A seriously fun platformer that is not serious at all. The visual and audio design is a delight, while the gameplay is engaing and enjoyable. I had a lot of fun with this one.

Extremely addicting game and fairly challenging too. I found myself obsessing over completing the levels, once you get two crystals in there is basically no going back because you don't want to quit mid level and have to do the whole thing over again. Some levels are much, much harder than others and the difficulty definitely goes up with each new world. I definitely utilized a lot of the save points, and liked that there were infinite deaths. On one hand, it is nice to not have to reset the level after a certain amount of deaths, on the other when you get over x20 deaths it really starts to hurt your self esteem lol.
Not very many bugs, however on levels where there were a lot of enemies shooting things I experienced quite a bit of loading lag that made the already difficult challenges even MORE challenging. Also, at 6-2 I had a problem where I had to keep resetting the level to complete it because after a certain amount of jumps the fish planets wouldn't reappear if I died trying to get a crystal. I don't know if that was intentional to add to the difficulty, but I didn't see it utilized in subsequent levels so I Assume that it was a bug.
Overall, great game, pretty smooth gameplay, appropriately challenging, addicting, and fantastic music.
The idea of the game is simply amazing! I surely got confused by the controls at first, but it only made me play more to work myself out of the levels and also after a few levels you get used to it. There are some really though levels, so it's a really nice game if you're looking for a challenge. And as they say: Don't worry if you die a lot, 'cause you will xD. There are some minor bugs in some levels and something that didn't allowed me to go to the 8th world yet, even after completion of the levels before it, so I'm hoping for an update to drop by anytime soon.
Cheesecake Cool Conrad is a really nice game. Based on fun characters, a simple plot and a reasonable amount of challenge, it'll make you spend considerable hours on it.
With great gravity mechanics, at some points it'll demand some good reflexes and skill to walk through all the 56 levels (8 worlds - 7 levels per world).
And...oooh...how i wish that some other companies would invest on the soundtrack like this one did: the mix of modern jazz fits perfectly with the lightness of the gameplay. Worth the acquisition.

The mechanics are very easy to learn, though moving around the planets can take a little time to get used to. T

DO NOT DIE.
As you progress, these basic objectives become actually very challenging. Sometimes you need quick reflexes to dodge obstacles. Sometimes you need to make a very precise sequece of jumps. Sometimes you need to really use your brain to find your way through.
The game makes a good job at mixing things up. Dull moments are a bit rare, tough sometimes, when you die, the moving planets might take a while to reset, and that waiting is a bit annoying, but certainly nothing gamebreaking or that migth spoil the experience.
Another highlight that deserves a big note are the graphic and sound designs.
The gaphics are neat, fun and clear, with interesting characters and funny enemies, things change a lot from a world to another, so its hard to get tired of the colorful and unique art style.
The music is fun too, it's a cool jazz improvisation that goes very well with the funny graphic design and the simple yet charming animations.
Overall, it makes for a pretty neat experience.
Certainly worth a look.
Nice game very challenging!
Playing with friends is very nice, but if you want to beat the game you better go by yourself, after the 3rd world things start to get hard as hell!!
Personal advice, play as the cat, because cats are awesome!
I found this to be a lot of fun. It is the same kind of light repetitive difficult fun as Super Meat Boy, for example. But it does allow you to save your progress and give you infinite lives, which I really like. The story is simple, with nice characters, and the art (especially the planets and game menus!) and soundtrack are pretty awesome.
The direction controls are a little strange, particularly moving from a planet to another, because of the difference in their gravities. It takes a few tries to get used to them, but you eventually do. Also, I've been told the developers are working on an update to improve this. (I haven't tried using a controller, so I can't really say anything about controller support, which the other reviewer had problems with.)
If you're a fan of games like Super Meat Boy, you really should check this out.
