Tracking down custom wrappers or random .exes / .dlls from questionable at best sources to attempt to run these games properly is not something I should need to do after buying this package.
I'm getting sick of companies dumping retro titles onto Steam without the slightest bit of effort in making them playable on current specs.

2 of them works fine, but the other two you need to fix yourself
Also steam only counts time on the launcher where you choose the game, not on any game you play

Moto Racer 1
If you use dgVoodoo2 it works
But if you don't have CD rom you need to mount any iso, otherwise game won't work

Moto Racer 2
Using dgVoodoo2 fixes the game too, but on races it's in ridiculous small resolution that i don't know how to fix

The other two, Moto Racer 3 and 15th aniversary, works fine

To get MotoRacer 1 & 2 playing nicely on Windows 10 all you need is dgVoodoo2. Copy all MS\x86 Direct3D DLLs into same folder as game's EXE. Also copy the main dgVoodooCpl.exe into same folder as game's EXE. Run dgVoodooCpl.exe once and click the .\ button to set the current game's folder as the main settings folder. I left everything defaults but you could pick a GeForce4 Ti 4800 card for DirectX.

MotoRacer 1 & 2 runs perfectly fine on default settings of dgVoodoo2.

Also, MotoRacer 1 & 2 can do online multiplayer. Just need to portforward (unblock) DirectPlay ports on your router.

Best played with gamepad with analogue thumbstick (like PS3/4 controller). Set the controller as joystick in MotoRacer 1 settings for this to work.

Just forget what people complain about this collection here, the games are awesome and work perfectly. I really don't know what they were expecting, but didn't find any of the mentioned problems, and some others are just superfluous. You have here three PS1/PS2 era games with nice graphics for their time, of course they are kinda limited if you compare to more recent ones, but that's expected. There is also the remake of the first game, which is a bit strange at first sight, but you get used to it. I found the controllers on the first two games to be more tight than the others. It's also so cheap on sale for me that a pack of cookies is more expensive, at least where I live.

Moto Racer 1 looks pretty good for a 90s game, I can't say the same for 3 and 4 though. But trust me that everyone could run atleast Moto Racer 1.

My opinion
I didn't play a lot, but that's because the game doesn't feel very polished, neither does it keep my interest. I have no clue why I bought this. Moto Racer 1 is fun, but very 90s. It lacks polish and a way to keep you interested. Moto Racer 2 doesn't work. Moto Racer 3 and 4 are very similar, and feel like unpolished Unity engine games.

Conclusion
For Moto Racer 1, it's alright. Don't buy it at the normal price though, 1 euro is about what I would've paid. Due to 2,3,4 being ugh, I rate this an 3/10.

Almost completely unplayable! You can get some parts of it to work if you tinker with it but even then you will run into major problems. This was a great series, but this collection isn't worth the headache!

1 and 2 requires 16bit screen setting which I don't know how to fix. So in simple 1 and 2 dosent run. 3 runs but you wont be able to use any other controller than old ps2 type ones. Yeah xbox controller dosent work.

15th anniversary runs ok and has dirt bikes in it which is cool, just too old UI and game graphics, still I would love to play the ones that runs. So you can either get this game for collection like me and then buy the latest ones or just get it for old time memories. But only get on sale with goes under $1 probably which was for me.

Having only ever played two tracks of Moto Racer original on the Total Arcade 98 demo CD as a kid, it was a godsend to find the full game here on steam.

Who can forget the classic first track, Speed Bay! And for some reason I really enjoy the menu - "Enter your name, Make your choice, play solo, select your mode , let's go!" "3,2,1, GO!" - soooo 90's! And who can forget: YOU LOST THE RACE. The dirt bike track framerates were really stuttering to the point they were unplayable, but when I lowered the graphics quality that fixed it. Unfortunately the other games are total crap and feel more like you are on a LSD or ketamine trip out. I don't know what they were thinking with those.

But overall, worth it for the original. WHOA, WHAT A ROCKET!!!!!!!!!!!

The Moto Racer Collection includes the legendary Moto Racer, that I have played with an 3dfx Voodoo card on the PC over 20 years ago. A simple, but fun arcade racer, that impressed with its high speed and great responsiveness. Just race and have fun.

While the Steam edition of Moto Racer works on 64bit Windows 10 out of the box with poor SW rendering, but applying the patch from the Guide section greatly improves the experience by enabling D3D or glide.

On 64bit Windows 10, the Moto Racer 2 requires another patch to run at all (see Guide section).

Both games support (digital) game controllers (or keyboard). A Xbox 360 controller with analog controls is not well working.

Moto Racer 3 works out of the box and supports analog game controllers.

Moto Racer 15th ANNIVERSARY is the port of a mobile phone game. Not as good as the classic series. It aims to be more realistic, but is rather disappointing, much less fun.

I have bought the entire collection at just $1, a real bargain.

Moto Racer 1
Works but stutters hard every time there is bigger change in speed.

Moto Racer 2
Doesn't work, says it needs 16bit screen mode and just starts
in ridiculous small resolution but the game has bigger one so it just shows nothing but enlarged number 2.

Moto Racer 3
Terrible game but it works.

Moto Racer 15h Anniversary
Does work but it is not even widescreen and the graphics don't seem any better what you have in first game,
I would even argue first game looked and played way better than this.

If at least the first game worked without any issues I would be recommending this because of the low price alone, especially on sale, but as it stands I just can't.

Buy it on sale only for MotoRacer 1 & 2 (or 3 if you swing that way.)
If you are looking specifically for MotoRacer or an old-school arcader racer; then go ahead and get it, but if you are looking for a good Motorbike game and have no clue what MotoRacer is; please look somewhere else.

Most of the titles wont run properly without spending a few minutes to fix; You can check each game's respective pages in PCgamingwiki.com (Link in comments if you are feeling lazy).
Alternatively you can take a look at this fix-guide for MR1 & 2.

MR 1 & 2 are the golden boys of this collection, while MR3 is, sure, visually better? but clunky because it tries to be a bit realistic. While ‎MotoRacer 15th Anniversary, oh boy, it's a piece of shit excuse of game ported directly from mobile to pc, avoid it at all costs or see for yourself.

Buy on sale, not worth full price.

Moto Racer 1 and 2 use an old no-cd crack which locks the bike gears (in Moto Racer 2 is more noticeable than in Moto Racer 1). Moto Racer 3 has probably the same issue since I can't win a race and I remember when used to play it as teenager it wasn't that hard to win. I can't recommend this until there's a fix.

Note: It says I have 0.2 hours in record but is because I could only launch Moto Racer 3 and the 15th anniversary from steam. In my laptop I had to run manually Moto Racer 1 and 2.

Moto Racer 1 is a fantastic arcade racer that is easy to pick up and is still very playable today. 2 is more of the same but with procedurally generated scenery, this means that there are more tracks but they lack any real character. On the plus side you do get a reasonably versatile track editor which has it's quirks but can churn out tracks in very little time.

The rest is garbage and honestly not worth worrying about.

In terms of this specific release I've had nothing but problems with this Moto Racer Collection. Get the first two games individually from elsewhere and save yourself some hassle, it's easy enough to find.

Don't get this collection. I have fond memories of playing MotoRacer in my youth. So getting to play the first one again was a blast (Even if I had to lower the quality of the polygons because I was getting lag) until I made it to the fourth championship where the game told me that I was running an "illegal copy of the game" and I couldn't accelerate. So the steam verion I purchased is running an illegal copy of the game. Not to mention that there are so many issues and bugs with the first and second MotoRacer.

Got this game on the Week long sale on 20/07/2015.

First thing I gotta say, yes, it works. All the games loaded an run. I do agree with other reviews saying that they could have tried to make it more compatible. There are unplayable areas (mostly when you're playing a dirt race with many competitors on screen) and MASSIVE slowdowns... Could be better.

Now the biggest reason for the Negative review: they f*** up Moto Racer 2! Why was the great, perfect soundtrack changed? WHY? I do believe I left Moto Racer's 2 CD more time in my Stereo then in the PC, just for how great the soundtrack is. Then I load the game with high expectations for a battery solo to start the video and I get a totally souless music in a new intro video, and then the menu screen hits and where is the beautiful Punk Rock music? This should be advertised as it is on GOG. I would not have spent not even the less then a dollar I did. Total lack of respect with the game fans.

First off, I will admit that after the download, Moto Racer 1 did not work UNTIL, after about 2 minutes of googling, I found the fix (I will put the link at the end of this review. Notes on the fix will also be at the end). I only bought this game for nostalgia, and boy did it deliver! The graphics are not too hot, but that is because these games are old (Moto Racer 1 came out in 1997). I don't recommend this game to people looking for simulators, but if you like easy-to-load, fast-paced arcade bike racing games, then these are for you!

It's a super easy fix to do, but it was found in a version not on Steam version (Duh!), so the only problem that I found was in the middle of a championship race when it said "Illegal Version" and I couldn't accelerate. The single races and time trials have all worked. I don't think I will be able to unlock maps since I can't advance in the championship, but there is an "unlock all tracks" cheat online, so I did that.

I got this collection for the orginal Motoracer, I didn't even know it had any sequels until I saw this.
I used to play the crap out of Motoracer and it's a total blast and nostagia trip for me.

However this game runs like crap and clearly wasn't optimised to run on modern systems.
There are some fixes in the forums though, if you like fiddling around with copying over files.
Otherwise, don't get it here, gog.com has a better port.

And as it turned out, the first two sequels were pretty okay. The "Fifteenth Aniversery" game somehow manages to look and play worse than the original game despite being on a modern engine. Huh...

Hey fellow steam users!
I bought this on 11/13/2014 and I have tested both Moto Racer 1, 2, 3, and 4 are all playable. Here's my review for each one:

1. Moto racer, the bonafide classic. not many tracks, but the game is wonderful, old-school, and arcadey. A definate must-have! 4:3 only, use the "black bars" mode.
2. Just like its predecessor, this game is wonderful and fast and arcadey. Much more tracks this time around, but the game is a tad more realistic and not quite as arcadey as MR1. If you add custom widescreen resolutions lower than 1024x768, usually they appear in-game.
3. Moto Racer 3 is a departure from the second one as there is a heavier focus on "arcade realism". The COD of the Moto Racer series, but this game is very enjoyable still and as always, has a wonderful sense of speed. 4:3 only.
4. The classic from ios, this game was created with auto-acceleration in mind. Play this with a controller and don't be as heavy on the throttle! The shoulder buttons are best for acceleration as button A is hard-coded to be Boost. 4x3 only, just like the older versions. This game is fairly faithful to its predecessors and is a good time waster, but not quite as good as the originals.

Overall, i'd say if you are a fan of the series, by all means get this title. It's cheaper than buying each one on GOG, and it's great fun for all ages!
The game had extreme bugs on release, but on my windows 8.1, amd fx 8350, and nvidia gtx 660, these games run fine and have few problems.

This is a collection, so be aware that the original games have not been improved upon.
The store page is not ambiguous about that, but I'd rather reiterate because you might have different expectations in this age of HD remakes.
Having loved the original Moto Racer back in the day, a straight port was fine by me, except...

Moto Racer 1 won't launch on my machine -- launcher fails to set colour depth. There might be a way around it, like setting my display to 16-bit manually, but I can't be arsed right now. I might put effort into finding a workaround later though, because I recall this one being my favourite.

Moto Racer 2 does launch, but there's no sound during races, no music or SFX. Plays well, but feels weird because of that.

Moto Racer 3 works (huzzah!). Don't think I played this one back in the day (or not much); it seems less arcadey and fun than the previous two instalments, but that's just my impression after a single race.

Moto Racer 15th anniversary is the most recent entry (you can tell it's modern because you accelerate with the right trigger, not the A button!) and it's utter garbage. Not only does it manage to be uglier than the other, way older entries, but more shamefully it plays poorly. Not the game I cared about anyway, but dang, morbid curiosity is the only reason to bother trying it at all -- and even then I couldn't finish a single lap in a cross race. The way it handles just feels entirely wrong, like someone's first Unity game on XBLIG.

So all in all, if I find a way to make sound work in 2 and for 1 to launch at all, maybe I'll spend some time with this, reminiscing. But I cannot recommend it in good faith.

(Oh, and I spent more than 5 minutes with this -- but Steam only counts time spent in the launcher apparently)

I just checked the game, again.
Moto Racer and Moto Racer 2 are fully working now.
I'm running Windows 8 x64 Pro :)

Moto Racer and Moto Racer 2 are the best ones from this collection.
This collection is only suitable for collectors who know these games, it's not a remake or HD remaster ! These are the same old Windows 95/98 games.

btw. there's still this shitty .net game launcher ... why can't the developer who made this for steam add an icon for it ? It's just a click in Visual Studio. 3 seconds of work >_

I bought it only for nostalgia. I played Moto Racer and Moto Racer 2 everyday on my PSone in my childhood !

I don't recommend it, because the soundtrack is not working and the video sequences, too !
BTW, It works well on Windows 7 !

If they gonna fix this issue I'll change my review, but so ..... and the 15th Anniversary Edition is just some cheap trash, skip it !
