çok epik sunucuları var yani güzel.
I like Half life 2 deathmatch because it a shooter that in half life 2
i mean its just half life 2 multiplayer pvp
i joined a random spanish server that played loud sounds and showed 2012 memes while drunk with friends
i wholeheartedly recommend you to play this, it is such a experience
This game made me realize that having a completely imbalanced game is actually really fun
It's the sequal to half life deathmatch and it is great so it was better than something like it.
YES (not fun for long periods of time)
There is a server that is usually full where you are randomly spawned around the map and you can engage in an unrestricted free for all against everyone, trying to pick up the better weapons that are scattered throughout the maps.
Its quite fun and as long as the server is maintained it makes the game worth its price.
Aside from that its like most multiplayer add ons for single player games. As long as there is a community around the base game, the multiplayer lives and is fine. As soon as it fades, multiplayer dies.
Half-Life 2: Deathmatch Review
Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)
Overview: Half-Life 2: Deathmatch is a multiplayer expansion of the critically acclaimed Half-Life 2, released by Valve in 2004. It captures the fast-paced, competitive essence of the original Half-Life deathmatch while utilizing the advanced capabilities of the Source engine. Offering both classic gameplay and modern enhancements, this title appeals to fans of competitive shooters.
Gameplay
Classic Deathmatch Mechanics: The core gameplay is straightforward: players engage in frantic, free-for-all combat using a variety of weapons and tools. The objective is simple—score points by eliminating opponents, making it accessible to both newcomers and seasoned players. The fast respawn mechanics ensure that action is continuous, keeping players engaged.
Varied Weapons and Tools: Deathmatch includes a range of weapons from Half-Life 2, such as pistols, shotguns, and the iconic Gravity Gun. The variety encourages players to experiment with different play styles, from long-range sniping to close-quarters combat. The addition of physics-based interactions, thanks to the Source engine, allows for creative combat scenarios, like using objects as projectiles.
Map Design: The game features several maps that are designed for intense combat. While some maps are inspired by locations from Half-Life 2, others are original creations tailored for multiplayer. The level designs are generally well-crafted, providing a mix of open spaces and tight corridors that promote strategic gameplay.
Graphics and Performance
Visual Fidelity: Utilizing the Source engine, Deathmatch showcases impressive graphics with detailed environments and dynamic lighting effects. The visual enhancements make the game visually appealing, maintaining the immersive atmosphere that fans love.
Performance: The game performs well on a variety of systems, with stable frame rates and quick loading times. Players typically experience minimal lag, ensuring that the competitive experience remains smooth.
Sound and Audio
The audio design features iconic sound effects and voice lines from Half-Life 2, contributing to the nostalgic feel of the game. The atmospheric sounds enhance immersion, while the soundtrack ramps up tension during gameplay.
Community and Support
Player Base: Deathmatch has a dedicated community, though its player base can fluctuate. While it may not be as bustling as modern shooters, there are still opportunities to find matches and engage with other players.
Modding Potential: The game supports modding, allowing players to create custom maps and gameplay modes. This aspect has helped maintain player interest and provided a platform for community-driven content.
Conclusion
Final Thoughts: Half-Life 2: Deathmatch is a solid multiplayer experience that captures the competitive spirit of the Half-Life series. With its engaging gameplay, varied maps, and impressive graphics, it stands as a fun option for fans of the franchise and newcomers alike.
Overall Recommendation: If you're looking for a fast-paced, action-packed multiplayer shooter with a nostalgic twist, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch is definitely worth a try. It delivers a satisfying competitive experience that complements the Half-Life universe while showcasing the capabilities of the Source engine.
don't let my playtime fool you I've never played this in my life, it lies.
I liked it .... it's not like half life 1 deathmatch.. but still there are some new things.. the maps is good ofc .. I think the weapons are few in some maps I didn't play them all but I feel like the maps need more weapons.. at the same time maybe they did this on purpose so you can kill with the gravity gun by throwing stuff on others 😂.. and the mp7 is good too.. and you have grenades as well ..
So yeah it's really a very good game I enjoyed it .. the ping is good and you will always find servers with players to join and enjoy the game
It's just a simple PvP mod for HL2. Like plain toast. Nothing to really complain about, nothing to really cheer about.
its a good game but it shouldve came when hl2 released
Half-Life 2: Deathmatch is a timeless arena shooter that brings together the iconic Half-Life universe and frantic multiplayer action. If you're a fan of old-school deathmatch games, this one will hit all the right notes.
What I Love:
Physics-Based Combat: The Gravity Gun steals the show here. There’s nothing more satisfying than hurling objects at your enemies for a creative kill. It adds a unique layer to the gameplay that you won’t find in many other shooters.
Fast-Paced Action: Matches are quick, chaotic, and relentless. You’ll be running, shooting, and respawning in rapid succession, keeping the adrenaline flowing from start to finish.
Classic Map Design: The maps are well-crafted, offering tight corridors, verticality, and lots of environmental objects to use in combat. Plus, they carry that distinctive Half-Life atmosphere.
Modding & Community Content: Even years after release, the modding community continues to produce new maps and mods, keeping the game fresh and fun.
Things to Consider:
Age Shows: It’s an older game, so don't expect modern graphics or matchmaking systems. It can be a bit dated, especially if you're used to the quality-of-life features in modern shooters.
Smaller Player Base: The game doesn’t have a massive active player base, so finding matches can be a bit hit or miss, depending on the time of day.
Overall, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch is a chaotic, nostalgic throwback to a simpler time in gaming. It’s a perfect game if you’re looking to blow off some steam with fast, physics-fueled action. Highly recommended for fans of Half-Life or anyone who enjoys classic arena shooters!
my player model is not changing
used to cheat on this shit, loved to see people get mad (it was on an alt, of course)
This the game for pro u can have so much fun Play Team game shoot enemie
It's so fun!
It is a fun old game that plays on low PC specs these days. buy it and play with your friends!
came back after 8 years, game is still alive and there are still 1v1's, 2v2's and 3v3's being played. The servers are called SF and are hosted in both Europe and the United States!
It's a dead game.. But when you finally scavenge the community selection severs and choose one of them that has active players within it. it's fun.
The problems I've had with this game however, we're mostly latency issues due to connecting to servers quite far away/Lack of rate some servers struggle with. But it was just around 45-60 Ping, so It wasn't an awful experience.
if you tend to have issues like these, I'd advice to do these commands in the console-
Cl_updaterate XX (Mine is set to 65) But some may not connect the same result for others, So might need to tinker with the two digits for awhile and see which progresses a better performance.
the second command is- Cl_cmdrate add the same numbers you did with the previous command.
Also to see the subtle or significant changes, type net_graph 1 as this will show of how much ping you have.
As I said, this could result to nothing in the process, if it does? each server is different, which connects higher ping than some, so it might just be a unfortunate choice of the server.. and keep searching within the community selection, and see if that helps.
The halfed-live deadmat was excelent strass re-liver! I buyed when on sales and for 5 dollored I got velve's entire yam packlet! Thanks your, velve!
chaotic in a good way
My favourite game! Over a decade later of playing and still going strong!
has better hit reg than CS2
Silly little source multiplayer with exclusive weapons and maps and about HL2. 10/10
Very underrated Deathmatch game. The Bhopping is nice and the weapons feel great to use.
Unironically fun as hell. Not every game lets you slam explosive barrels on your enemies' head.
