This is what failed franchise bait looks like by the way. Valve dipped their toes into the water gauging whether or not they could repackage half life 2 and it failed miserably. This game is tf2 hats and loot crates six years before they ruined the video game industry with that scum.

Its a dead game, yes, but its still fun with friends.

I consider this game to not really be a full-game, its more like a mod with price for Half-Life 2, but if it's a mod then its a great mod. The guns blazing, balls crazy action of this game is just epic with the great gear of Half-Life 2 weapons at your hands. The gravity gun is the real star of this game, its so much fun blasting objects into other players. This game however, isn't a real step forward since its really buggy and it has no recoil like Half-Life 2 and it really achieves nothing but its still fun. Overall I liked this game a lot despite some downsides, the affordable price is also another thing to consider but this game won't please everyone. You should consider this game but analyze before you buy it.

I feel like this game should be integrated into base Half Life 2, like the episodes were. Or listed as a F2p at least.

this is the dumbest game ever made, everyone has insta kill weapons and you spawn in the middle of battles constantly. playing this is an overstimulating nightmare.

10/10 i missed out on playing this my whole life, if you like half life 2 or gmod you need to play this clustertruck

its an cool game but valve fix the bug of the steam_legacy because half life 1 have servers on the steam_legacy but half life 2 deathmatch dont have so can they fix it?

I played this first back in 2008-9. Very fond memories. I also played Half Life 2 single player on my RTX 4060 TI and I still had lots of fun.

This game is funny because i can throw with gravigun toilets and barrels in enemy they will die . Basic deathmatch when people shooting each other without teams chaos in the map. But 20 years ago was cool and classic one was one coolest .

I used to play this all the time back in the day. There's still a ton of enjoyment to be had with whipping toilets at enemies with the gravity gun. (8/10)

I would like to thank Valve for making these games for us. Games like Portal (1-2), Team Fortress (OG-2), and the game (which the third might never come out) Half-life (1-2-Alyx-etc).

only wish is that it got combined into half life 2 like episode 1 and 2 so it had more players

the mechanics of this game is beyond anything you can find on ALL other FPS games. Forget graphics and RTX light and "cosmetics". Half-Life 2 Deathmach (AKA simply dm) has the rules of "nature" and the tools combination to find yourself in a totally unique situation and ALWAYS extremely comic. For example in lockdown there is a half height wall at the washing hall. I was on one side of the wall my friend on the other. we could not see eachother but we both balance the situation on what to do. I just grab with the gravity gun a "lavomano" bring it upper from the wall to the other side and without seeing where is my friend I just launched it to his face. He just saw a "lavomano slowly passing over the wall, getting right in his face and launched.

BUT, never forget the really poor behavior of the dm creators that they totally abandon their creativity to just make a global "hats" casino, unregulated and accessible to children. So politically I would not support them. The game on the other hand has never, I mean NEVER being surpassed from another game.

Was a ton of fun back in the day. Pretty dead now. Gmod is where all the source multiplayer is today.

Half Life Deathmatch basically is Half Life but multiplayer and Deathmatch, believe it or not. Servers have the expected chaos in them, with people using the gravity gun to yeet radiators into their opponent's cranium, which will forever be the most humourous thing to be a feature in a multiplayer game. All of this can probably be done in Gmod but this game's community has it's own fun charm to it, so I recommend checking this game out if you can. Of course the game is Multiplayer only, and some servers are more like Gmod servers rather than Deathmatch servers, but getting into the right server can result in you having a blast so yeah.
