Men and women risk their lives in live TV, desperate for a better life. Millions of inhabitants of the Solar System look forward to the new season of Attractio. The reality show where contestants solve deadly puzzles; so deadly in fact, there’s only one way they can leave there with their lives: to win.
This season: Keir, a man with a humble origin, looks for the monetary prize. Mia, a policewoman from mars, wants to take home the advanced technology prize. Dalek, a dangerous criminal, plays to win his freedom back. Each one will have to solve different deadly puzzles using different gadgets that will allow them to manipulate gravity.
Attractio takes place in the amazing Entertainment Space Station (ESS), an artificial satellite orbiting Mars. This station was created specifically to broadcast Attractio, being the only place that meets the requirements to host the games of the gravity manipulation. As usual, Darius will be the host of this exciting reality show.
Attractio is the first person shooter where you will be able to manipulate the gravity direction of different objects which, in turn, will make you rethink your expectations about physics. The implications of these slight changes of the laws of physics are considerable enough to allow you to solve each room in a variety of ways: your imagination and dexterity will be your greatest tools. Nevertheless, you’ll be facing some of the most challenging puzzles you’ve ever come across.
Throughout the game, you’ll play as the contestants of the reality show, Mia, Keir and Dalek, each one with different puzzles and gadgets designed for their particular abilities.
Mia: The most renowned detective of Mars will use gravity boots that will test her physical abilities and allowing her to change her own gravity so she can avoid the deadliest traps of Attractio.
Keir: From the poorest region of the Solar System, Keir will use the Shifter gun in Attractio which will allow him to manipulate the gravity direction of certain objects in Attractio.
Dalek: The ruthless criminal who will try to win his freedom back in Attractio, using both the gravity boots and the shifter gun inside the most complex rooms of Attractio.
¿Who will emerge victorious? In order to get to know them you will uncover their controversial pasts and save them from a certain death in Attractio, the most watched reality show in the Solar System.

Bad game, very bad graphics. I'm surprised they can sell a game like this on here.
Good puzzle game - basically portal but with gravity - but it shoves politics down your throat and you can't turn off the dialog, forcing you to mute the game if you don't want it. Which is a shame because the music is pretty good. If I want politics I'd go literally anywhere else on the internet, not the one thing I go to get away from it.
The puzzles are good for the first few levels but by the time you start getting toward the end, they start requiring absolutely perfect timing and pixel-perfect positioning of the cubes to progress. Easily the worst of the puzzles in the game comes toward the end with an achievement attached to it ("Bridge"). This particular puzzle requires such absolute perfection in timing that you're more likely to tear your hair out in frustration trying to figure out how to solve it. In comparison with Portal, which offers a lot more freedom and creativity to reach the solution, Attractio has only one particular way to solve each room, with little freedom to reach it. Expect a lot of cheap deaths in executing the simplest mechanics (characters are so weak, they can almost die just from dropping literally ten feet) and the final level must be completed in zero-G while a giant security bot is trying to kill you and if you die, you have to start the room over again from the beginning. It's far more frustrating than fun, so my recommendation is just to skip it altogether and play something else that's far more engaging (e.g. The Talos Principle or The Turing Test).
I'm not sure why this game has a mixed score at lowest it should be a mostly positive
it has really good puzzles I don't understand some of the other reviews talking about pixel perfect shooting especially when you have a slowmo button for the 1-2 times that you actually have to shoot a fast moving target which makes it really easy or if they are talking about lining up a cube to fall through a hole the game has a little bit of an auto snapping tool that lines the cube up within certain increments so as long as your pretty close it will place the block right in line
this game does require a good gpu though I have a rx 480 4gb and I played it on medium settings with around 48-60 fps depending on the level
the game does have long loading times 15-30 seconds per level on a ssd which was kinda annoying
the only times I got stuck were when I missed something that should have been obvious and when I checked a walkthrough I was kicking myself or when they first do a 2 person level they don't tell you that you have to go stand by the next areas doorways with your characters so I opened the ending and see 2 doorways that I can't open and I was completely lost on what to do and then the last boss I had no clue what to do until again checking a walkthrough and seeing that while you could figure it out it wasn't something you would intuitivly figure out especially since they had a few little box areas for no real reason
the voice acting was pretty bad and also if you saved it acted like a save state so you could be hearing the bad voiceover over and over which was kinda annoying
my only real gripe with the gameplay is that sometimes the boxes would get stuck on where a forcefield would touch a wall or floor so you would need to reposition the box to get it to move
otherwise it was a really good game

The game is all right, puzzles are good but the controls drive me mad. Moving the boxes in 6 directions is fine but when it constantly switches it is just infuriating. If the directions were world oriented instead of relative to player I think I would actually finish it.
This is certainly an interesting concept with some rather frustrating execution. It combines Portal with its deadly test chambers with The Running Man, the Schwarzenegger movie where convicts play a lethal gladatorial game. I really liked the concept, but would really only recommend it if you 1) pick it up on sale and 2) have a lot of patience for dying to platforming and bad VO.
Pros:
- Some genuinely decent puzzles in some spots.
- The multi-person perspective-switching is an interesting mechanic (and good lonely man's Portal 2 Co-op)
- Gravity swapping and controls are pretty good
Cons:
- Graphics, while certainly not everything, are not great
- The voice-over is pretty bad
- Loading times are definitely on the slow side
- While fall damage is a fine mechanic, it is very unforgiving
- The instant death from obstacles/falling is really frustrating
- The platforming/timing mechanics can be very frustrating
I recommend this game BUT I have to mention it crashes A LOT for me. Maybe it's something about my config (Win 10 64bits, AMD RX480, 16GB RAM DDR4, playing at 2560 X 1440 with everything on high). Or something else. I checked the game files integrity and it seems to be OK, but it keeps crashing. Anyway, the game is cool, if you are into puzzles this is a good choice.
Decent puzzles (with some repetition thrown in, but let's be generous and forgive them that), but there is a set amount of times a person can hear the same boring joke before ragequitting. It's not really the voice acting, but the actual writing that's terrible. I don't blame the actors for being obviously dispirited while reading those lines.
While I do not recommend buying this game (unless you pay cents, like I did), I'll be very interested in seeing whatever the studio comes up with next, since making this game has got to be a learning experience (also, I thirst for 1st person puzzles).
In short, Attractio is an excellent Portal-style puzzler based around gravity manipulation.
A brief anecdote: On one of the later levels of the game, I encountered an issue where the exact action I had taken successfully the first few tries of the level (only to die later) suddenly resulted in my death the next few times I tried it - this, mind you, fairly far along in a complex level. I was prepared to call it quits there and began to leave a tentative recommendation, relaying the story of how an action you had to take to complete a level sometimes inexplicably resulted in your death. And then I thought about it a bit more carefully, glanced at a guide, realized it was a miracle my strategy had ever worked at all, and completed the level with a decidedly different approach.
That's how Attractio works - even when you think you know what you're doing, you don't know what you're doing. Though the mechanics behind the puzzles are fairly simple (depending on the character you're controlling at a given time, you can flip your own gravity, shoot boxes to change their gravity, or both), the puzzles themselves are anything but. Every now and then, there's a shift from "Wait, you can do that?" to "Wait, why can you do that?" - the physics, while well done, are less than smooth at times - but on the whole there's plenty of variety to keep you guessing, pondering, and pulling off a wide array of gravitational stunts.
This solid gameplay is backed by an intriguing (if a bit generic) sci-fi-Hunger-Games-esque plot, and there are some nice stylistic touches to match the backstory. Alongside the main story (my playtime essentially reflects the time that took me though I didn't feel like dealing with the dramatic shift in gameplay for the final boss and left it there for now), there are challenge levels if your hunger for puzzles isn't sufficiently sated.
Whether you're pining for another Portal installment or just a fan of puzzles in general, Attractio will pull you in.
It's a low budget game, don't pay full price, but if you can pick it up at 90% off like I did, go for it.
The gravity mechanics are novel, the puzzles aren't stupidly simplistic and require a bit of thought, and a bit of guess work. Also, warning, this has a late 90's game plot with equally bad annimations, and voice acting, so if you can't stand the tackiness, just avoid it.
Finally, I was encountering crash to desktop issues which it turned out was because it was trying to use the integrated intel chip not the dedicated graphics card, just needed to manually configure it in the nvidia control panel.
I wasn't entirely sure what to expect out of this but this is actually a good first person puzzler. The voice overs will either annoy you or make you laugh with how unabashedly cheesey they are, the art design is quite good, and the mechanics are, as far as I've seen to this point (about 3 chambers in) solidly designed. Picked it up for $2 on sale but I can see why they're asking $20 for it.
Ok puzzle game with a few "someone has made a mistake, this level is imposible"-moments, don't play it for the story, and don't expect an epic portal-style finish
This is a good gravity-base puzzle game. It's interesting and challenge. The fisrt-half of this game is somewhat easy because devs want players to familiarize with its play-style, the secand half become challenge and enjoyable. Final puzzle take me half hour to solve it. This is the first game features GRAVITY-oriented puzzle experience, original and creative. You can change the gravity direction of a box, make it fly upward to press a button on ceiling, or change the gravity direction of yourself and walking on ceiling. The graph is gorgeous but somewhat poor-optimization. I very surprised that this interesting game is so unnoticed, where the hell those guys vote on greenlight? Attractio deserves more attention.
Attractio is a puzzle-platformer in the same vein as games like Q.U.B.E. and Magrunner.
The mechanics involve gravity manipulation and are easy to understand, but the game's physics engine allows you to perform some unique techniques with them. The majority of puzzles are solved by requiring you to discover a gravity technique that you haven't yet learned or needed to use, and I enjoyed that kind of exploratory-based puzzle solving.
It's a pretty short game at around 10 hours, with some added value in terms of the challenge mode, but the slick presentation, story, and uniqueness of its puzzles makes Attractio worth the purchase.
Attractio does it's job as a fun physics-type puzzle game with some fun mechanics to build around it. Each of the three characters you control all have different strengths which will require you to use your head in puzzles that require you to do different tactics. The physics in the game are solid throughout, and the Challenge Mode does provide a little extra fun for players that beat the game. In regards to flaws, the story and characters aren't very memorable, and the game's presentation is hit and miss. However, as a puzzle game, it's competent and anyone that loves a good puzzle challenge will definitely get their money's worth.

If you like puzzle, you will probably like this one.
Pros:
Actual puzzles, The game wants you to think, and most puzzles have more than one way to actually get to the finish.
Mechanics are explained right when they come into play. The game uses smaller layers throughout to slowly make things more and more advance.
Check points. Not only can you quit and start rooms, a lot of rooms also have save points within them allowing you to save your progress in that current puzzle. Moved that box? Well you can save it there, then kill yourself in every random way you could imagine to try and figure stuff out.
Cons:
Graphics. Not sure what causes it, but at maxed out settings the lighting is a bit harsh. Staring anywhere near a light source can be a bit blinding and a lot of things give off light.
Dialog/story. It is suppose to be a reality show, but, it gets pretty cringe worthy. I guess this shoudl be a middle ground thing since you could like a bad story/dialog mix.
Load times. Even on an SSD it takes it a few minutes just to load up every stage. If in windowed mode you could just do other stuff while loading though!
The last two stages, I'm not sure if I did the second to last stage correctly, but it just kind of enforced a trial and error until you get it right, with a very small window of success. And the finale is a "boss" which gives you no hints how to beat it.
Over all I would say they could have done a lot more with this game if they had ditched the ending and just kept making more puzzles, after all one of the last things you get to play around with is Zero-G, but it was really only used for the boss, and one or two other puzzle rooms.
Final words on the game and TLDR If you have twenty bucks, want a puzzle game. I would suggest it.
LOVE PUZZLES? - Buy this game!
Imagine if QUBE & Portal had a baby. Now imagine that it grew up to be a conniving, sadistic, evil Gameshow Host. Then you have Attractio. These puzzles get HARD, in most games I dance through chambers with ease, but no, not in Attractio.
"Here, have a cube" says Attractio, "Cube press buttons"
"Okay, easy"
"Coloured buttons affect all things of that colour"
"Waaaaay ahead of you Atrractio"
"Oh, really?" Attractio sneers, with an evil glint in it's eye. "Try this on for size!"
And from there you're hit with a barrage of absolutely brilliant puzzles that will have you scratching your head (or banging it against the desk in my case) for hours.
Just when you think you've got the hang of it, Attractio mixes it up once again, and back to the headscratching we go. Was that puzzle really suppossed to be so complicated? Probably.
Things couldn't get much better for puzzle lovers, but they do.
Attractio features a story that will have you hooked. I am currently still making my way through some tough chambers, so I am unsure of how much there is, but with each chamber that goes by, the story unravels, and that half hour it took me is worth it.

This fights face by face with Portal series.
What I have to say is... AMAZING, not only the game is very smoth but also the story of the characters very interesting.
I just started to play it but the first puzzles show what I have ahead, hope for very difficult puzzles.
It's a well spent 20 euros.
