Three cult classics in one
- Double Dragon 1: You’re a martial artist called Billy, minding your own business as usual, when your girlfriend gets kidnapped by a dangerous gang called the Black Warriors.
With the help of your twin brother, Jimmy, you go kick your way to the Black Warriors’ lair to save Marian from a gruesome fate.
- Double Dragon 2: You managed to save your beloved from the Black Warriors. You thought that was the end of the struggle, yet the leader of the gang shot Marian to death. Devoured by grief and guiltiness, Billy and Jimmy get back to work to avenge her.
- Double Dragon 3: Three Rosetta Stones are scattered around the world. On a fortune teller’s advice, you and your twin brother go on a quest to seek them in order to challenge and defeat the world’s strongest adversary they’ll ever meet. But are you strong enough to handle such a hard task?
Double Dragon Punch or Kick?
All blows are permitted in Double Dragon Trilogy. Face off the fierce and the Black Warriors gang with your favorite moves: punch, kick, knees or just grab an assortment of not-exactly-street-legal weapons to silence them once and for all.
If not, make sure to try out the Arcade mode to go for the highest score (you can ever earn) or just go for the Story Mode to unlock new stages and achievements while beating up some Black Warriors folks.
Strong ‘80s arcade feels
Do you remember Double Dragon arcade debut back in the days? Set the difficulty to “original” if you wanna get those ‘80s arcade feels, but if you’re a pro, go for the “expert” one and show us what you got.
Original Graphics and an 8-bit killer soundtrack
Double Dragon Trilogy allows you to choose between the original 8-bit killer soundtrack and a brand-new remastered one. To enhance your retro experience, you can pick up original graphics to remember how it felt like to face Black Warriors back in the days, and a sweet video filter.

it's good but some gripes the french people who remastered this thought the music is 8 bit but no it's yahama audio if it was the nes version then yes also the remade ui looks meh however it looks alright it's not great but good effort nonetheless it's alright collection for those who like the arcade versions which I feel don't get the love like I thought this was just a 3rd party nes game series but no it was a arcade game series.

had hundreds of hours on NES as a kid . Saw this on steam and thought to relive the childhood memories.
the port is fuccked . the controls are shit. The Devs fucked up . not playable on keyboard
Well, the only thing I can give this credit for is being the laziest port / upgrade of any classic game I've seen come to Steam. Where the f$@k is Bimmy and Jimmy Double Dragon 3? I know.. this is the Arcade Port only but without that one this feels incomplete.
For anyone coming to this who hasn't played the originals you should absolutely expect frustrating button mashing game play. While there are some move sets that help, the reality is that if you want to unlock what little extra there is you better be ready to learn/know the frames and how to cheap move the enemy to death.
What I expected from this was something hopefully closer to the style of remaster that Konami has done with both the Contra and Castlevania collections. I thought maybe there would be some quality of life adaptations, options for Arcade lives/continues, save states etc. What you'll get however is simply an up-scaled version of the original 3 arcade games with a new soundtrack, with each game having an Arcade and Story mode. The remastered soundtrack is pretty scorchin' at times, but this is the only real saving grace. If you beat the game on each mode, the game gives you access to some basic other options like changing back to the original soundtrack.
If you're a huge DD fan this may be worth it, but get it on sale only.
Slow loading times?
Don't waste your money. Nothing like the original DD from the 90s.
Like some of the other reviews have stated, this could have been done better. They could have included the bogged down system lag, for example, when too many characters appeared on the screen and began flashing in and out of existence.
Seriously though, some things feel a little off, and DD3 feels especially imprecise and "choppy". The original feels pretty close though, so if you're nostalgic, I'd recommend picking it up.
Could’ve been better.

Cons:
-you get a small amount of credits to use in double dragon 3 without a button that adds a few more
-only NA version of the 3rd game
-no access to the title screen
-stage start screens in double dragon 3 are instantly skipped for some reason
-time and score don’t for some reason doesn’t change even after you downloaded them in the game files
-no 3 player multiplayer in dd3
Buy the games through arcade archives or download them from internet archives

It's a version you have, but don't play anymore ...
This game is NOT what I thought it would be. I figured it'd be a port of the original games to the pc, and it kinda is, but what a very LOUSY port at best. I'm glad in paid less than $7.50CAN for it, cause I don't think it's even worth that. Controls and such are super clunky, and it just makes for a crappy game session. I got it for nostalgic reasons, I as I played all 3 games while growing up, and these are NOT true ports. They are very shoddy and not true to the originals. Avoid unless you want a game you'll play once, get frustrated with EVERYTHING about the games, and never play them again.
nostalgic, but I prefer the new ones
I can only recommend this if you are a die-hard fan of the original arcade versions of these games. Still, the arcade versions of games are always far more difficult, as they attempt to get people to pump in more quarters. Arcade emulators typically have a button mapped to simulate adding more quarters. This does not. Once you lose your lives, you are done.
Also, the load times between screens in the menu selection areas are really long for what this softtware is.
