Super Panda Adventures

A really good metroidvania with some light RPG elements; the gameplay is smooth, and it has a lot of content.

I personally liked the look of the game, but if you don't, then don't be discouraged and try this game anyway because the gameplay holds up on its own.

My only gripe would be the boss fights, they are kind of iffy, but there are not a lot of them. I played on normal, but I recommend choosing the easiest difficulty to avoid frustration.

Overall, this game is a chill metroidvania with nice music, a bit of humor, and charm for a low price.

Super Panda Adventures – A Repetitive Journey Not Worth Your Time

Super Panda Adventures might have a positive reception, but I believe much of that comes from its low price rather than its actual gameplay. While every game costs money, they all cost something more valuable—your time. And this game simply isn't worth it.

At its core, the game suffers from extreme repetition. There are maybe seven enemy types in total, and you’ll be fighting the same ones across every level. Worse yet, the level design forces frequent revisits, often leading to situations where you enter a level only to realize you can’t progress, forcing you to backtrack and repeat the process later. Instead of meaningful exploration, it's just artificial padding.

Combat is as simplistic as it gets—you either spam the attack button or hold it for a power attack. Enemy AI is non-existent, as they just charge straight at you, making every encounter feel identical. There’s no variety, no real depth, and nothing that makes fights engaging or satisfying.

That said, the game does have a couple of positives. The music is cool, and the dialogue can be amusing. But those small strengths don't redeem an experience that feels so monotonous.

If you're looking for a fun action-platformer or a good Metroidvania, this isn't it. There are far better games that respect your time and offer more engaging gameplay. Super Panda Adventures is little more than a repetitive grind, and I can't recommend it.

this game is charmfull and special for me it look very simple in the surface but it have many sweet elements like the colorfull graphics a level up system a open world ish map system it really some lovely elements than should be explore to be seen i buy it for me and for 3 friends its really amazing

This game is seriously one of the best metroidvanias i've played

It looks like dogsh!t, but honestly it's surprisingly pretty solid, especially when you consider it was entirely made by one dude in Denmark, barring the musician he hired.

Very serviceable tight and snappy gameplay, visual's aren't sh!t as much as it's a consistent stylized choice like those 90s surrealistic Nick toons like Rocko's Modern Life meets 16bit Castlevania Commander Keen, legit uses the same audio sample CD that Id used for the Doom sound effects (you'll hear it when the enemies shoot projectiles), music's actually pretty decent? I don't know what to say man, it's just all round very decent, like well above okay.

Got nothing to lose for roughly five bones, it's a pretty decent time for an indie made by one euro, lol. Good stuff.
