This game is terrible.

Bugged to f---. Some missions are unplayable. A 6ft berm will be an insurmountable obstacle as a mission forces you down a valley into the enemies guns.

this game is a lot like men of war assault squad 2 and that's what i love about it. it was made by the same people, when controling units you can be in first person which makes the experience way better. and unlike men of war this takes place during the war on terrorisom. love this game it's perfect

great game, love the units, sounds , graphics(to an extent), much better than mowas2 and even mowas2 mods, however vehicule damage physics/functionality is waaay better in mowas2 bring that back

Absolutely love this game! Extremely immersive and all around fun! Love having total control and I am sure there still isnt things ive learned to do yet, but this game is one of the better ones I have ever played from my perspective. Appreciate the devs for this one.

Not worth the regular price, if discounted only for mods.
Compared to gates of hell it seems massively worse in all areas where goh shines and vastly more horrible in every direction where goh is already bad.
Constant hectic feeling/speed up feeling of movements as if somebody set up game pace per default at 4 or 5.
Horrible style of /capture flags by drowning enemies in corpses and wrecks\ mission.
Guns/ammo armor stats all feel very off.
Also fun in tank combat to see with tank gets track blown off first or runs out of ammo to deal any damage at all.

I don't got much to say other than its a great game. It really reminds me of conflict desert storm at times.

10/10 but in the secret mission GRM you have blow up tanks and vehicles with C4 but C4 doesn't explode them. I have even tried grenades and rocket launchers. Nothing seems to work, please fix.

Good game just get the ultimate edition so you get everything.

Игра хоть с множеством не доработок ,но очень хороша да и мододелам есть чем позабавиться ,плюс ртс со сменой управления мне всегда нравились из всех игр мне такое вспоминаеться только в space ranger хотелось бы ещё увидеть игры с таким же направлением

outrageous price policy

Played 3 hours in close combat mode, that is keep the camera closer to the action and don't zoom out. This let you see more elavations, line of sights and this can be more difficult. Yet the visuals are so much better close up than from birds eye view. Couple that with amazing sounds, visuals and you get a action packed game. Not to mention you can go first person view if you so desire with any soldiers, vehicle etc in game.
this would rock in cooperative mode. That's it for now, first impression is 9/10 more later.....

A game abandoned by its developer, not to mention that the little content it brings is through DLC and the base game has no content at all, honestly don't buy it

It is an experience very similar to MoW so if you liked that game you would like this one as well

I mean, Its fun but it isnt as balanced as Osfront. Its extremely simplified vs Osfront. I dont think that a 7.62x39 from the enemy gun trucks should be able to completely destroy US tanks. The armor pen for those rounds are not that powerful. The game definitely has better graphics than Osfront, but the gameplay needs quite a bit of work. Im sure there are mods to make the game better, but I dont feel like looking deeply for them right now.

Needless to say, If you have 15 bucks that you want to spend on a RTS Warsim to support a Ukrainian company, have at it. Other than that, I would wait for it to get a bit more love like Osfront has.

After 3,000+ hrs of Civ 5/6 and having my heart broken by CIv 7, I was looking for something to make the pain go away. This game is an awesome RTS. Definitely recommend.

Terrible Pathfinding and doesnt feel dynamic in any way

its fire the fact that you have to use planing is so cool and the effects and sound makes it a over all amazing millatary game

very cool unique rts/fps game, if you like Man of War , company of heros or similar games you wont regret this

the dwindling forces and lack of being able to fully repair your vehicles as well as lack of being able to re enforce your units make it so you really feel like you gotta finish the maps as soon as possible. all scenario based. all bland... had i know this wasn't actual strategy game. i wouldn't of bought in. BUT HEY ITS 30 BUCKS!!!

Giant store front didn't even start tutorial before it wants more frigging money. maybe let us start or better yet finish the damn game before you put your greedy hand out. deleted immediately ....you've gotten all you'll get thank you

Watched two of my highly trained troops get blown up by a tank after spending 10 minutes trying to drive behind enemy lines.

a very good RTS game that will scratch the itch. Mods are awesome for the game and really help it stay fun. I would get this if you like RTS games to play alone like I do.

Fun while it lasted but the game is dead. Last update was two years ago, and it was just a world war II dlc.

it is a good game don't worry about the whiners if you play it makes due on what people want modern combat with tanks and a number of other armored vehicles (with cool stuff like the boxer(my favorite)) it has decent mods optimized game can run on a potato and more or less clear of bugs it wont get updates (finished game) and on sales its really cheap

i have a mixed opinion about this game "gates of hell" i feel is a more worthy purchase

Fun game with variety of fun missions, specifically my favourite ones would be the German ones, these are fun and challenging and I can spend hours a day replaying these missions, there are also different modes that you can enjoy and have fun on, the single player missions, conquest modes, and multiplayer. While the missions are fun, if you want to have more fun with the game, there are a variety of good mods where you can play as part of a rebellion, or do a huge scale map invasion and win in different ways. 100% achieving this game is fun and challenging, although you would need the DLC to 100% it.

Good concept for a game, but every bit of it is buggy. units dont react very well and their pathfinding is mediocre.

I couldn't make it more than an hour into this game, it is just insanely clunky. It tries to blend an FPS and RTS/tactical game into one, within a modern warfare setting, but doesn't really manage to do that very well.

Firstly, the FPS is god awful. Movement and controls feel extremely clunky and just unfun compared to most modern FPS games out there. It seems like the FPS piece was an afterthought that was slapped on, or just poorly implemented. Not sure.

The RTS/tactical part is ok, but again movement and controls are clunky here as well. Troops will sometimes not move, or move to slightly different spots than you told them, or just take a bit to respond to your commands. The majority of the game so far seems to be position troops behind walls and let them mow down an inferior enemy.

Speaking of enemies, the AI is awful. They often just stand there doing nothing, and don't seem to react to your presence that much. They'll otherwise run headlong at you and get mowed down. It got boring quick.

The UI looks like it was made in the 90s, and certain things you'd expect from an RTS game, like double clicking on a troop type visible on screen to select all of that troop type, does not exist. It's also not clear if you have troops highlighted and select say, a grenade, who will throw the grenade.

I dunno, just a lot of problems that could really have used some refinement and modernization. Feels like a first attempt or more of a proof of concept to me. It's a cool concept, but this product ain't it.

Really fun game, i have always loved games like this such as men of war. I love the more modern theme. The 1st person ability also adds another level to your strategy, as you can take shots at weak points of vehicles or shoot crew out of light vehicles and capture them. Highly recommend this game if you played anything like Men of War or Company of Heroes. Also you do not need a expensive gaming setup to play.

Pretty decent.

Definitely worth ~$10. The learning curve was a bit much if I recall. I feel like I don't remember them telling you how to do the first person stuff. I had a fun 10 hrs so far playing the game. I think it could be more enjoyable with friends that know what they're doing!

I think the sniping is intuitive, but my friend did not. I had to tell him to watch the closing circle in single player. This is not an all encompassing review, but I think it's decent for the price point and if you buy it for $10, I think it's definitely reasonable to get 1 hr of fun per dollar.

You can easily emulate a better version of this game using mods in osfront

Fun. Lots of control over combat.

It's the best strat game I've played in a long time.

Really fun, a modern version of Men of War Assault Squad 2. The conquest mode will keep you busy for many hours, and the campaign missions are challenging but incredibly unique and rewarding, as they are not the usual 'combined arms' warfare and force you to be a little more tactical.

I have several gripes though:
- I wish the walking and running animations were better
- I wish ragdolls, and not set death animations, were in the base game
- There should be more battle/radio chatter as this would make the game way more awesome
- My BIGGEST issue is the tank combat. My God, watching the tanks sit there and shoot at eachother's front plate for 5 minutes is tough to look at. It's completely wack, I'm not asking for realism, but come on. Also, the fact that an MBT just mogs every other armoured unit is a little annoying, for example, if you have an Abrams, it will literally tear up everything else on the battlefield (until it gets to another MBT), which I feel is a little annoying in terms of game balancing, as it forces you to abuse MBTs when I'd prefer to use other armoured units, as using something like a Bradley or LAV is just setting yourself up for mental pain as you watch it get 1 shot by a T-62 out of view distance.

I would recommend this game if you like RTS military games, but for sure check out the workshop if you'd like the game to be a little more realistic.

It is a really fun game with a somewhat 'realistic' and unforgiving approach, bringing the mechanics of games like Soldiers Heroes of World War II to the modern age and adding 1st person direct control. Wish they kept this on Ostfront.

Its very undercooked needed more dlc and updates

I am strongly disappointed, only feature keeping me here is fps camera. game is just unfair on higher difficultyevels which don't satisfy me when I play strategy games, the ai should be smarter not still restarted but with unlimited forces

I would truly recommend this game, if it wasn't for various factors, ignoring the Gates Of Hell that comes within the game thats an absolute masterpiece, Call To Arms its just a painfull game in every single term except graphics.

the AI even to this year (2025) is just painful, your soldiers will have the reaction time of a cow and will usually get mowed down upon close-quarters combat as they dont have enough brain to throw granades by themselves, beat the AI its harder than beat Dark Souls 5 times (especially in conquest with Hardcore realism), enemy tanks are almost invincible most of the times (especially russian ones like the T-72, that thing its just... horrible to kill) and yours will die when hit by the first RPG.

I tried to play with the WarFighter Mod that its a big Overhaul for the game, but I just decided to quit because of how BAD your AI is. I dont understand why it is like this, since the AI of Gates Of Hell its 10x times better, being Call To Arms its supossed base game.

And, not to mention that the game isn't receiving that much of updates since the devs are focusing more on Gates Of Hell that, I dont say its bad, I f*cking love Gates Of Hell, but I would like that they put more work into their base game Call To Arms that its very unfinished afther like 7 years since its release.

About graphics, its pretty good, with just small details that are missing like the fact that when a round hits reactive armor most of the time it doesn't dissapears or shows a good enough effect.

So Yeah
Most of the game's workshop and the game itself is dead for now, Gates Of Hell its on its prime so if you just wanna play a good WW2 RTS game there will be no trouble, but if you wanna play a cool Modern War game, Call To Arms isn't your best option if you dont wanna quit the game within 20 hours of total gaming.

10/10 says not to use cheat engine even in the background.

I was playing a single player game earlier in the day, and got bored so I decided to load WeMod. I had forgotten it was running in the background.
When I loaded the game, it crashed and then shortly after, other stuff wasn't working properly. After I noticed that other applications and system processes were running slowly or not working I reset my computer. When the computer started loading back up it showed the manufacturer, then it displayed a black screen with only the mouse cursor when you moved it around. I tried to the computer into safe start, but even that wasn't working. I tried the key combination and the power button option. Not even windows recovery worked.
The game corrupted my windows OS, and to such an extent that I couldn't recover anything.

That is one heck of a security system.
Congrats on Nuking my computer.

I usually dont write reviews but this game series is one of the best ever, the mod support is what gives these games 1000s of hours of replayability like almost no other. the devs know how to make a great game that can be enjoyed nonstop. I would highly recommend.

CTAGOHO is WAY better, in EVERY single way, but this is still a fun game, despite it feeling like its from 2012 and not 2018, its aight.

Game is good, but incomplete. I'd love to see some content updates, voice acting for units and to not totally rely on mods to get content.
