In the tranquil Realm of Dreams, a nightmare is brewing. Embark on an odyssey into this looming shadow to confront iconic literary antagonists—Jekyll's dark counterpart Hyde, a decapitated specter the Headless Horseman, and the infamous Count Dracula. Do you have the fortitude to confront the deepest, most sinister corners of the human psyche? Stand with Lily in a sugar coated quest that requires inner strength and trust, despite grim underpinnings.
"Sweet Lily Dreams" weaves an intricate RPG tapestry where charming facades mask profound, mature themes. Accompanied by her loyal companions—the steadfast dog Faith and the whimsical cat Curly Trick—Lily delves deep into the Realm of Dreams and comes face to face with the eternal struggle between good and evil. Not all narratives have happy endings, trust is a commodity sparingly bestowed, and the lines between storybook and reality blur, revealing a world where the righteous do not always prevail.
"What comes immediately to mind as a summation of the story's concept is the characters from preschool sing-along videos being thrown into Middle Earth and asked to defeat Lord Sauron by way of the horror shelf of your local DVD rental store."

I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.
Thank you.
Not a bad little indie rpg. Sure it has some story pacing issues and it wears its influences on its sleeve. Nevertheless I enjoyed it.
I tried to get into it but I just couldn't. Sure the art looks good, the music wasn't my thing, the combat is the usual, the crafting was fine and it had some interesting puzzles like using maps to get around, but I just couldn't get invested.
Sweet Lily Dreams is a RPG with a turn-based battle. It is about a girl who sets for an adventure in the dreamland.
It somehow makes the player nostalgic because of its classic gameplay like most JRPG's. It has a great story but somehow I worry about its copyright issues because this game have a lot of references!
You will also not get bored with this game because:
- There are puzzles in the game that are relatively difficult but not impossible.
- You are given a house which you can freely decorate with furnitures.
[*]Side quests, Crafting, and many more!
If you are not a fan of a gameplay like this one, don't try it.
Otherwise, I recommend you to play it now!

This is an excellent RPG which incidentally is also the prequel to Whisper of the Rose. I have played both these games to completion and had a very enjoyable time.
I enjoy the combat mechanics, especially the point-base system. You have to hunt for points (which appear as gold coins) which motivate you to explore every small little corner of the game map. There is also an achievement for getting all the points. Furthermore, the points can be used to buy furniture which you can display in your house and they will give you combat bonuses. Furthermore points can also be use to buy dresses (armor) and weapons for Lily too.
Monsters will drop crafting materials when they are vanquished, and these crafting materials can be used for making Spells, Potions and Furnitures. I love this system.
Scattered on the ground are small green circles which will heal you when you step on them. However, there is a difficult achievement which will only trigger if you activate less than 20 healing circles in the entire game. So, this turn the game mechanics in a whole new direction --- as you are now trying to AVOID stepping on healing circles whenever you do exploration. However, this is not always possible, as some healing circles are on critical paths and there is no way to get through a dungeon without stepping on certain healing circles.
The story itself is well thought out. The starting scene is misleadingly simple and looks like an RPG for kids. However, this is not the case as there are a lot of depth and the story gets darker as you proceed. However, I love the major themes of the RPG which is actually love, mutual caring and cooperation. I get a warm feeling at the end of the story, which is excellent.
I would strongly recommend this game to any old school RPG gamers out there who like a good story with interesting game mechanics.
One of the best if not the best classic rpgs i ever played i dont understand why so many ppl vote negativ for it but its probably not something for evryone such games are sadly rare nowadays
Don't let the name fool you;
There may be dreams, but they're anything but sweet. In Sweet Lily Dreams, You visit places ranging from Dr. Jekylls mansion labratory to Sleepy Hollow to the swamp of Baba Yaga. Although given a sweet name, I do NOT recommend it for nighttime play, lest you be assaulted by Phobium, too. This game has great soundtracks, i liked the fun puzzles, game play settings and the interesting plot, but most of all, I loved the adorable look to the characters.
Only thing I dislike is how extremely difficulty some puzzles and mini-games will become and by that point will apparently prevent game progression.
Overall i found this game very addicting and only wished I could've found more tips on solving maps and puzzles which are difficult sometimes...
I like dream good story, good one game.
I really enjoyed this game. It was challenging and fun all at the same time. Great turn based RPG!!
This has got to be one of the worst games I've ever played. The storyline is probably fine, but one would never know, because the combat system is absolute garbage. The game starts off with you having one character, lvl 1, and the rate of evade way to high on monsters. My third fight consisted of the enemy evading me 19 times ina row, before I could hit and kill it.
To make matters worse, when you do get a party, it only makes you more frustrated. The main character DOES NOTHING. First real fights, and she hits for 0, has no skills, and is just there to be punched int he face. Even lvling her up does nothing. add to that fighting monsters that add blind automatically twice each turn, and you get an entire party that can't hit ANYTHING.
Literally fighting 2 monsters, that do nothing but blind, no damage, and I can't hit them. After AN HOUR AND A HALF IN ONE BATTLE, UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING, I had to force the game to close, and realize I had been ripped off.
Paying money for such a bad, bad game makes me feel bad, and the creators should feel bad for ripping people off of money. No one should ever get this game. You've been warned.
While I'm posting this as a negative review, I'm actually borderline neutral on this game.
Plus: attractive, whimsical graphics, an unusual and consistent "fairytale" vibe, and fairly straightforward mechanics. The puzzles I've encountered have been fairly straightforward (not necessarily a good thing). In most ways this is a great candidate for Baby's First JRPG.
Negative: controls are a bit awkward. The fairytale vibe seems condescending at times. I found gameplay a bit dull (although if you note my time played, I didn't get far into the part of the game where you battle as a team). However, the main problem only really applies if you do want your kid playing in it: under essentially any circumstances, when told to do something by an adult or authority figure, your best (and frequently only) option is to do the exact opposite.
I realise this is a common trope in childrens' adventure literature but it's taken to extremes here.
Aside from the first puzzle, Sweet Lily Dreams is a fun little RPG with a nice balance of customization, story and gameplay. Combat has a steady difficulty curve, and inventory and elemental management becomes more important the further you get. Unlike many other games, customizing your home has benefits that boos gameplay, and costumes play a major effect in survival. All in all, a pleasant experience.
