Takes some grinding to get the achievements but it's an awesome game.
This game is like if you combined cod with tf2 its great.
Pretty cool game, never got to play it at the height of it's popularity but it looks like it was a lot of fun.

This game is stunning in every way: graphics that have stood the 20-year test of time, gameplay that you want to come back to day after day, a small but very welcoming community. Valve doesn't come out with a new game very often, but when they do, they create works of art. 20 years later, this game still feels like it came out only a few years old. 10/10 for sure.
actually fun when youre not playing some modded slop map, very challenging and has a fun objective.
This game combines tactical elements of titles such as Counter-strike and Class-based shooters elements like in TF2 in one game.

This is such a cool and fun game. For something that was a complete side project it's really in-depth and the maps are really detailed. Too bad it died and got subsequently abandoned.
World War 2. What can even be said about it that has not been said? There is nothing new to add. It is its own genre at this point. Valve took a swing at WW2, and let me tell you. Even with 100 people still playing this game, it's still a really fun time. It's an older title, although it is pretty cheap to get your hands on. If you feel like getting in some classic PvP back in the day, then I recommend playing this before everyone jumps the ship. WW2, hopeful there won't be a 3rd. 9/10
баланс, рандомный разброс пиздец, гранаты ну такое, снайперка ну совсем такое, цвет униформы зависит от карты(от нормально до пиздец), сами карты ну такое, остальное оружие(кроме гаранда и с96) отлично

Another okay shooter, not my taste, so many available, even in the valve pack. Works fine on Deck.
Bit curious to have a WW2 shooter though with only germany and americans.
Day of Defeat Source is basically an improved Day of Defeat 2.0, with the Source graphics engine, with that "realistic feel"
especially the weapons when you control, hold and shoot!
it's fun by the way...
Call of Duty and Battlefield fans can even give this game and the classic one a chance, even if they don't expect much from it!

DoD:S is like drinking: It's sociable when you do it with friends but sad if you do it too much alone.
Dead game, all that's left is sweaty tryhards who have been playing for 15 years, no way to really improve skill level and no bot functionality without mods, no thanks
It's a great game, but I wish Valve gave it more content because there are only a few maps you can play on, only two game modes, and not many weapons.

well i didnt play this game much but i want that soldier hat for my character
no microtransactions, no battle pass, skins, good old classic multiplayer FPS game. i miss the thousands of players and mods that used to exist :(

play the game on german servers for added realism!

still relevant after all these years
Straightforward FPS game based on a solid engine. Still has several players even almost 20 years later.
This game is timeless. First installed in '10, and its my go to game as soon as I fire up the PC. Still has a decent community playing, with several servers that are full most of the time
this game is old but there's very active servers still this day. You can join a server at anytime
No German swastikas
Although the audience is small, it entertains. According to the new fps shooter players have very good players
