Thank you Ubisoft for FINALLY listening to gamers and adding achievements to your games.
Good will deserved. Now stop with the woke nonsense on your new games and get back to making great games with fun stories.
Fun games, especially if you have friends to play with. The bow is THE BEST WEAPON IN THE GAME, perfect if you want to play stealthily. As for the story, I don't know much (I don't play story games often because I quickly lose interest).
A little hack here and there: you can unlock any weapon that your friends have. For example, if you have a friend who's finished the game (and they likely have all kinds of guns), you can just ask them to hop into your game and drop their weapon. This allows you to pick it up, thus unlocking the firearm.
You can't manually drop the gun but u can kill enemies and when they drop a gun, your friends can pick up the enemy's weapon while dropping their equipped one at the same time.
If you loved Far Cry 3, you’ll feel right at home with Far Cry 4. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it polishes what worked and throws in a few fun extras.
The story takes you to Kyrat, a beautiful Himalayan-inspired region full of mountains, forests, and chaotic wildlife. You play as Ajay Ghale, caught in a civil war between a charismatic dictator, Pagan Min, and rebel factions. Pagan Min is cool, but he’s no Vaas, and the story isn’t as gripping as Far Cry 3's.
Gameplay-wise, it’s more of the same—liberate outposts, hunt animals, and craft gear. But small upgrades like the gyrocopter, grapple hook, and riding elephants make it more fun to explore and cause havoc. The combat feels smoother, and co-op multiplayer lets you share the chaos with a friend.
Visually, Kyrat is stunning. The world feels alive, with dynamic weather, dense wildlife, and gorgeous landscapes.
Far Cry 4 doesn’t top Far Cry 3, but it’s still a blast. If you want another open-world shooter packed with action and exploration, this is worth your time. Just don’t expect it to blow you away—it’s more of the same, only a little higher up the mountain.
The story didnt grip me, but the gameplay certainly did. Beautiful open world.
6/10 Game can be fun at times, but the story and missions aren't great, Ajay has no character at all and is somehow less interesting than the mute deputy from 5, Pagan is fun but like Vaas he's not as utilised as you would want.
Personally replayed game for nostalgia,in co op even tho its kinda broken and such game is awesome even today good as i remember it,besides playing with friend is always fun(in any way even playing solo u will have that good old Far Cry experience).Far Cry 4 is slept on game is improved in manny ways from Far Cry 3 map and everything looks beautiful. All i can say is one if not the best line in game "I've given you Kyrat, but I'm keeping the helicopter"-Pagan Min.
Pretty decent Far Cry experience.
However, Far Cry 5 is way better than Far Cry 4 in almost everything!

com certeza um dos melhores farcrys ja lancado, o jogo e muito bom, devidamente viciante no comeco, a historia deixou a desejar para mim, mas a gameplay, qualidade de mapa e ate graficos sao bem legais
By my preference, I think far cry 4 is one of the best in the franchise. Pagan as a the "bad guy", makes a great duality, since the golden path hates him but Pagan to Ajay was a very supportive relationship and you could tell he loved him. God such a good story two because the two "good guys" are scummy people once you get to know them which is like you come to hate the people you work with and end up really liking the guy you are fighting against. Top Tier game and a better far cry then 3, cry about it, but 5 is my favorite
For me, Far Cry 4 is the best game in the franchise. It took everything Far Cry 3 did well and improved upon it. The character progression feels deeper, the toolkit is more diverse, and the map is far more vibrant, packed with activities and breathtaking places to explore.
The main story shares the same premise as its predecessor: a privileged outsider gets caught in a war-torn "paradise" and must learn the ways of the locals to survive and take on a larger-than-life villain. While it’s a familiar setup, Far Cry 4 delivers it with more refinement and flair, making the journey feel fresh and captivating.
Whether you’re diving into the story, hunting wildlife, liberating outposts, or just soaring over Kyrat in a gyrocopter, this game is an absolute joy. For fans of open-world shooters, it’s a must-play and a shining example of what made the Far Cry series so beloved.
one of the best far cry with really deep lores all around the map.
A great game with a deep story line with some challenging tasks
My favourite Farcry by far even better than 3. Truly a masterpeice. altough coop is a bit buggy
Whats not to like, this game is great. GREAT gunplay, GREAT vehicle control, GREAT athmosphere.
But i dont like that you cant skip cutscenes, and they are mostly boring.
Good story
Good graphics
A lot of weapons to choose from
Nice side quests
Beautiful open world to explore
Interesting story line, solid gaming mechanics.

Makes you download an outdated version of ubisoft connect so you cant make an account through it, their website also doesnt let you create an account, had to delete ubisoft connect then download it back through their website and make an account on it
[h3]Go through it once and forget about it. Better than ND and 6 parts, but worse than 3 and 5.
This is a great game but it has one BIG problem after playing for a few hours and later wanting to come back to it.It does not launch its very disappointing.
A solid game of FC series you must try! It was kinda underrated.
Gameplay, Radio, Story & NPC's really gave me different level hit as it's based on SA region & I'm SA dude myself as well, lol.
FC4 filled with various side activities, vast area to discover. Specially grappling to the high mountain, riding elephant & hunting with bow to craft items felt so goooood! Every part of map felt different, nicely designed environment & surroundings, good job done there by Ubi.
Coming to the Story it's another twist when finding out who's the actual Villain? May be Villains? very intensive story. Go Try! Wish cutscenes were little bit longer in story telling, disliked that.
Far Cry 4 stands out as one of the pinnacles of the Far Cry series. Initially starting off as a vulnerable character adds depth to the gameplay. The compelling story and myriad activities kept me engaged. I've personally invested over 208 hours on PlayStation 4. The hunting and item collection aspects are highlights. However, some frustrating aspects include overly chatty and easily startled AI, and the penalty for accidentally harming allies can feel unfair. Additionally, the AI's behavior with vehicles and the challenging moral choices can be irksome.
Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4, Far Cry Primal and Far Cry 5 are the pinnacles of the Far Cry series and my favorites.
only good for its sandbox, open world and side quests main story is as average as it gets
well world is good and story too so overall it is a 9/10 game for me and i also got it for cheap like 300rs or something so for me it was worth the price too
Personally one of my favorite games. This game is great because it improved on Far Cry 3's mechanics. Sure protagonist Ajay Ghale was bland, but Pagan Min MORE than made up for this. The open world is INSANELY chaotic and the gunplay was SO satisfying. Great first game for getting into the Far Cry Series.
Successful, beautiful open world that isn't too cluttered. FarCry 6 is also beautiful but too fragmented, although not as bad as Starfield, which has no story. Big world games are obsessed with replayability, which kills the original experience.
It's a fun game to play, and most of the guns feel amazing. You can approach the game however you like - slow and stealthy, fast and explosive - the elephant was a fun gimmick - it's up to you. But frankly, it feels nauseating to move forward with the story. At face value, they pretty much nailed the open world aspect. The world is huge and it feels alive. The culture feels home. The pacing is just right. But making exploration mandatory took out the fun for me, and eventually it felt like a chore.
It's unfortunate Steam doesn't accept neutral reviews. Despite my different preferences, this game is far from being bad. The content is borderline overwhelming, and you can never run out of things to do. Which is great for some people, but it's definitely a double edged sword.
gameplay gucci but story is gucci from temu
I've seen the game on Trailer before it release back then and just able to download and play it recently on my new device. I CAN FINALY PLAY AND FEEL THE NEW BREATH THIS GAME HAS
Lots of new thing, fresh breath of air, thing to do, the music choice too! the people, the lunatic people, the monkey and the monkeys
wish there's more path for the 'bad guy' min the game has but yeah LOVE PAGAN MIN! I TRULY ENJOY ALL THE TIME SPENT
oh and a side note: Uplay kinda funny most of the time
Can't tell that this game is 10 years old. Definitely my top 10 story games. Worth playing but a bit too expensive. Overall strong 8/10. Edit: Just saw a tiger fight a fucking bear I LOVE IT! 10/10
Game won't launch. I'm not interested in going through the troubleshooting any more than I already have.
Far Cry 4 offers a thrilling open-world experience with a rich setting and engaging story. The game's diverse gameplay, from intense firefights to stealthy takedowns, keeps things fresh. Plus, the characters are memorable and the world is beautiful.
This game is incredibly boring—like, extremely boring. The vast and beautiful map feels empty and hollow, filled with nothing but vacant space. The missions are repetitive and monotonous, cycling through the same tasks over and over. You have to travel kilometers to complete a mission, then after finishing it, travel even more kilometers to start another one. It’s the quintessential formula of Far Cry, and it’s incredibly dull.
Okay, I know that all Far Cry games are like this, but I’m genuinely tired of it. I’m tired of every Ubisoft game that uses this shallow open-world system. And with the gameplay being so basic, identical to Far Cry 3, it just makes it even more boring. Oh right, pretty much everything feels lifted straight from Far Cry 3—many of the guns have the same animations, the sounds are the same, and even a lot of the animations are reused.
It feels like playing the same game all over again. I honestly couldn’t force myself to finish it. Maybe I’ll need to wait 2–3 years before I can bring myself to try playing it again.
ubisoft sucks, it was working fine for a few days now i get a authentication error on startup even tho this isnt the first ubisoft game ive had
i wound up re installing and its works again for now idek man
Muy divertido, las misiones de sigilo me encantan, la diversidad de armas, misiones y la historia que te va contando, aún no lo he terminado, voy por la mitad pero me gusto bastante este juego
Just lost 40 hours of progress bcz I updated the game. L ubisoft. I was actually so close to the ending.
This game it is similar to FC3 in some aspects, some new stuff as well, loving it so far!!!
Kyrat is one of the best open worlds I have ever seen in video games. The story is inferior to Far Cry 3, but the gameplay and open world more than makes up for it. This game won't blow you away but it's a solid experience from start to finish. Since it's 10 years old at the time of this review, only pick this up on sale.
10 years later... and this game is still amazing. The graphics, environment and game play still hold up very well - not to mention the solid story line. Definitely one of Ubisoft's finest works in the Far Cry franchise - arguably rivalling Far Cry 3.
The DLC's were also very enjoyable, which is rare to see nowadays.
Probably the best best game ever to exist from the Far Cry Franchise
Recently I bought FC3-6 during a sale. And by this point I have finished playing both FC3 and FC4. IMO it's just an improved FC3, which is great because I really liked FC3. Great villain, solid enough story and really fun/good gameplay and sense of progression which is really important for me. If you enjoyed playing FC3 you are sure to like this one too. So far this is my favorite out of the franchise.
I love this game, but co-op doesn't work what is sad :)
This game will not run. I have multiple times over the years to not do the black screen on death bug, It will not autosave my new game, it will not stop black screening. I have spent hours following online guides, editing xml and registry files, and trying to get folders to not be read-only. No amount of running in administrator will fix this game. Don't even buy on sale, it will not run.
In my opinion the absolute best gaming experience is to be had with 4.
Its like far cry 3 just stuttering. Graphics and gameplay are beautiful... really bad pc port
coop is bugged. i cant play with my buddy at all. sometimes when i try and join his game it even crashes. the other 99% of the time the game says "joining" and then either he crashes or i do. nothing ive tried has made this work
FC4 is basically FC3 but:
- bigger
- like, much bigger, and more vertical
- more content and different side activities
- set in a mountainous forest instead of a tropical jungle.
It also works right out of the box here on PC unlike 3, which requires quite a bit of effort to get running well on Windows 11.
Anyways, the plot is definitely weaker than 3, and the gameplay doesn't evolve much past 3. However, the story missions and side content are a lot more fun, and mechanically, the game is more polished (gunplay, driving, graphics, etc.). Additionally, you gain access to the wingsuit early on here in 4, compared to the last third of 3.
I never played the multiplayer, so I can't comment on that. I enjoyed Hurk's DLC missions, but they didn't stand out in any way other than Hurk's bombastic personality. I didn't enjoy the prison escape DLC, mostly because it's designed as a replayable high score mode where you try to do as many things as possible in the time limit, which doesn't do it for me in a Far Cry game. I did like Valley of the Yetis though. It's short, and you can't replay the night survivals, but there's still fun to be had in my opinion.
with FarCry you really can't go wrong. it's always a solid game, well made, and everything works how you expect it to work. there's a lot in terms of side quests, but not so much that it becomes overwhelming
ultimately though.. the story didn't blow me away.
as usual it's young person lands in war torn land, joins the rebels and for some reason the president has his mobile number and keeps calling.
while playing I kept thinking about the game that was next on my playlist.
I like the game, the environment, the mechanics and etc. Very similar to Far Cry 3.
The thing I think I don't like about this game are:
1. How Ajay learned so much about weapons easily, something that Far Cry 3 was able to deliver successfully (I'm comparing it to Far Cry 3 because it's the only game aside from FC4 where the protagonist is a civilian). I feel like the whole part of him becoming a warrior was rushed.
2. There's so many animals! It's so unrealistic!
3. So many micro missions that interrupts you from doing what you're doing (The Karma thing). It's cool at first but it became annoying afterwards.
Gameplay wise, I like everything about it. I'm not done with the game yet but so far it's interesting. It's heavily rooted in Indian culture and beliefs which is a bit cool, I think. It's good to find a game that doesn't always focus on Greek and Egyptian Mythology.
