Putt-Putt and Pep's Dog on a Stick is a nice game to play. The objective is to collect bones while avoiding enemies who will slow you down. And just so you know, the stick they're talking about in the title is a pogo stick.
The follow up to elden ring
Humongous Entertainment is essentially preschool LucasArts. There is nothing wrong with their adventure games (if anything something like Putt Putt Saves the Zoo has a surprising amount of backtracking) but very few are straight puzzle/arcade (Putt Putt goes to the Moon should be quintessential, if only for Bear Stormin)
So, Dog on a Stick is just Q-bert, but Q-bert with solid pixel graphics, warm cute music, and Putt Putt reminding Pep to avoid overly affectionate creatures. (Okay, that last part does get annoying pretty fast!) DOSBOX is usually more cooperative on different games, but the publishers probably didn't want kids modifying it and letting PuttPutt say "I've become a flying car, destroyer of worlds" in the wave audio.
It's better than a lot of casual games, though. 8,25/10
