I thought I'd be controlling Scooby-Doo but instead, I’m controlling an unknown dog through maps, with some ghost elements like flying skulls and evil pirates etc., it’s essentially a running and jumping game where you follow an arrow to the destination. Along the way you can either fight enemies or just avoid them as they don’t chase, about 90% of the gameplay is focused on free running, and the rest 10% is easy boss fights. Adults might get bored quickly but children may find it enjoyable.
I got this game at 85% off, for the price it’s not too bad.
My curator page
I like the game though the adventures were a bit too short.
Outdated and it shows.
you can laugh ,you can cry.
its not worth $20
this game is fun i am speechless
I find this game to be quite good. It's entertaining enough to keep the player occupied and I personally think it's great because with this game it's the same story if you complete it but you get to interact with the worlds in different ways each time you play the levels. I like the character customization tools a lot and it's really nice how this game makes it achievable very easily for the player to customize. I'm a big Scooby and Looney Tunes fan too so that's a great bonus for me.
I got this for my granddaughter and she loves it, been playing it for a few years now, and next, my grandson, he's already trying and he's four. Actually, he's caught on faster than I thought he would, needs almost no help now.
I would recommend for children, more than enough levels to keep them involved.
It's been a long time since I played that game. But now, I do a quick review.
One word, BAD.
I hate to give the game a negative review, but since it keeps crashing on me and it won't load my save files and continues to make me start at the beginning I can't recommend this one. It does look like some mindless fun but there is no point in keeping a game that won't allow me to save. Plus, the other versions of this game on iPhone/ipad/3ds have the full cut-scenes and appears to be the full game so this seems like a rip off.
I have no idea why the steam version is so horrible.
If you want something easy, a bit cheesy, and pretty much mindless I'd reccomend getting this !ON SALE!. It usually goes down to $5, and it's definitely not worth the full-price. Honestly, I bought it more as a joke and have referred to it, with friends, as the "Scooby Doo/Looney Tunes Furry Simulator" due to the fact that you can create your own anthropomorthic character, which you can dress up as ridiculous as you'd like.
It's geared towards a younger audience, obviously, but even as an adult I found myself enjoying myself as I played through it. It's not something I can immerse myself in, and the plot points in the "story" are a bit cliche/predictable, but if you're looking for something that you can just casually play then this might be a good place to start. And if you have kids, they're most likely to enjoy this the most!
However, I'd have to take points away since there's less Scooby Doo and more Looney Tunes. Tbh I only bought this for ol' Scoob ol' buddy ol' pal. :/ (I mean, it was on sale but still).
A simple but fun 3D platformer, where you play as an unnamed avatar you create and go through 4 levels based off of Looney Tunes and Scooby Doo Themes.
Why we don't play as any of the actual Characters, the world may never know.
This game is a fun and relaxing romp through a cartoon world. It's a short playthrough with tight controls and some nice environments. I'd recommend picking it up on sale - it goes down to $5 USD reasonably often.
I really wanted to like this game a lot but the fact it seems like cut scenes were removed and heck the entire ending of the game was removed makes it totally unworth the 20 dollar price tag. Even worse there doesn't seem to be any kind of connection between the stories.
I know this game from its previous releases - if you like The Looney Tunes Show and "bad" games as entertainment, it would be perfect for you. HOWEVER. The Steam release of the game has removed ALL the cutscenes. They are replaced with a very minimized slideshow version of the original scenes. Inbetween those you are merely collecting coins quite blandly.
This game would have been durable for the TLTS fan with the original story and cutscenes - but not this version. And it's definitely not worth 20€. DON'T.
Boring, uninspired, repetitive, and buggy.
You don't play as a Scooby Doo or Looney Tunes character, you play as a generic cat/dog/whatever. Gameplay is walking around boring levels collecting coins and smashing things. There is zero creativity in this "game".
The "story" is told through two static images of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck impersonators talking about their "new friend" (you) but it has zero bearing on the gameplay, such as it is, itself.
Maybe a five year old can get some enjoyment out of this, but even they will get tired of this bad game.
Your walking speed is abysmally slow and I thought that maybe it was tanking on FPS, but no, it's running at maximum speed for me. The game really is as tediously slow as is seen in the trailers. Every single step feels as if you're under water or under some kind of slowmo effect, even after you get the walking speed upgrade.
The soundtrack is a one minute loop that constantly repeats and becomes irritating after the first repetition. There is a fixed camera angle that occasionally blocks the character and pickups from screen.
The game crashes if I try to make it run fullscreen, and the window cannot be resized.
1/10 and the only reason it doesn't get a zero is that it is at least playable, although why you'd ever want to is beyond me.
Police Officer grabbed and bagged me. 10/10
ive thrown my money to the wind on this title, u cant even play as any of the looney toon characters or scooby gang , u play as a made up character which u dress up. the title realy excited me to only be let down....shame shame shame
3/5
Nothing bad, but nothing great or unique about it.
This is a top down platformer aimed at children 5-10 years old. It's difficulty level is around Kirby (excluding bosses), Drawn to Life, or the Lego games. Experienced players won't have problems and will probably find it boring. Get it only during a good sale.
There are 16 stages that can be completed in about 10 minutes each. There are several hidden bonus rooms if the player searches or deviates from the main path. There are 3 weapons: a mallet with spring-loaded boxing glove, anvil dropper, and umbrella that slows falling and protect against anvils. Hazards include moving platformers, trampolines, dropping platforms (Donut Lifts), collasping bridge, catwalks, very tiny platforms, crushers (Thwomps), fast conveyer belts, and all of the above over bottomless pits. Death results in being spawned in a nearby location and the loss of some coins. There are 2 maze levels, some switch puzzles, and 3 bosses. The bosses requires some pattern memorization or tell/cue recognition.
There is a moderate level of character customization. You can be a dog, cat, horse, or chicken. Each has 8 skin pallets. There are about 20 clothes for hats/wigs, gloves, shirts, pants, shoes, and backpacks. There are male and female casual clothes as well as costumes such as princess, priate, vampire, scientist, and more; referecing Warner Brothers cartoons. All of these are purchased with coins or found randomly in stages. (I purchased this game mainly because I like paper dolls, (guilty pleasure). I was pleased with the selection. My only dissapointedment is the lack of pallets for clothing.)
Graphics - looks nice, cartoony with Merry Melodies aesthetics.
Sound - about 5 jazzy songs consisting of apporpriate but not memorable music
Controls - controls are solid but the player moves rather slowy
Misc. - I have no experience of the closed broswer MMO "Cartoon Universe". Credits state that this was developed by Wayforward, but there are several other departments such as marketing, and Warner Brothers staff, etc.
10/10 no joke one of the best games i have played in a while. on sale for only $4.99 this game is a steal they should have not had it on sale for this much considering how much you get out of it. The graphics are just like the cartoons "Just Mindblowing". the sound track of this game is fanomonal and makes every room feal different from the other because there is just so many songs in this game. Dont even get me started on the level design in this game i wouldnt even be able to stop telling you all the great things in each level. So if your looking for a really fun long lasting game for the price look no further and get Scooby Doo! & Looney Tunes Cartoon Universe: ADVENTURE! now. p.s. i havent stoped playing sence i got it.
My kid hated me before, then I bought him this game. After playing he said he loved me. This game saved my marriage!
This game okay. Funny and entertaining. But wait until this game goes on sale. Not really worth the $19.99.
Quite enjoyable game but only took 3 hours to complete and I think you cant die. No challenge. If it ever goes on sale for under 4 pounds then it would be worth the money.
Too expensive. Wait on a sale. Its ok. 6.5/10
