Super hilarious! great south park game. feels like i am in the show.
pretty funny and hiding a fairly competent turn based video game. a few annoying sections and a little buggy towards the end where my character wouldn't show in cut scenes.
I really enjoyed this game. If you like the humor of South Park, this is right up your alley. I found the playstyle novel. I really enjoyed the different buddies you can have during battle. I'm bummed that there are Chinpokomon that you can only get during certain cutscenes and that the saving mechanic seems janky, but overall it was a TON of fun. I can definitely see myself replaying this to try out the different classes.
Great example of RPG which does not take itself seriously. Play it for the jokes and have absolute blast of time. Can be picked for a chill play time.
One of if not the best Adaptation of the source material in video game form. I know I am late to the Review but trust me This is a Fun ride. Best of what SP has to offer and more. Only one nit picking problem that I have with this game is that's it's too easy, even on Hardcore mode. Overall a solid "9/10" Game.
funny game and has a lot of things to do, i dont really have anything to say about the stick of truth, but i recommend it.
Simple enough gameplay with classic south park humour.
Perfect pacing, fantastic combat, excellent writing and voice acting, and no political correctness.
It's a love letter to South Park fans.
The armor system in this game is trash. I never would've thought a light attack and heavy attack can make a break a fight.
8/10
Fairy Sword is the best weapon in this game.
the bugs are a bit ass and the achievements are a pain and the game ends too fast
other than that timeless masterpiece
timeless? i don't know. masterpiece nonetheless
This is the best Ubisoft game, the attention to detail and the many nods to different episodes an not just the game of throne spin off one. I think anybody who is remotely interested should buy this game, at full price its good but you could easily find a deal somewhere else.
Overall 11/10
It was very fun, but it has some bugs so beware, also very replayable!
South Park: The Stick of Truth is a hilarious and highly entertaining RPG that perfectly captures the irreverent humor of the long-running animated show. Developed by Obsidian, the game allows players to step into the shoes of the new kid in South Park, who becomes embroiled in a bizarre and epic quest to find the magical Stick of Truth. The story is filled with over-the-top humor, absurd characters, and references to iconic moments from the show. The game’s hand-drawn art style faithfully mimics the show's animation, making it feel like you're playing through an actual episode of South Park. With witty dialogue, quirky side missions, and an engaging combat system, it’s a fun and memorable experience for fans of the show.
The turn-based combat is simple but satisfying, with players using various abilities and items in true South Park fashion, from farting attacks to summoning beloved characters for help. The RPG mechanics, such as leveling up and customizing your character, are enjoyable but don’t overshadow the game’s focus on humor and narrative. While The Stick of Truth doesn’t offer a massive amount of depth in terms of gameplay mechanics, the charm and the nonstop comedic moments make up for it. However, the humor can be a bit much for some, as it’s unapologetically crude and often pushes boundaries, which may not be to everyone’s taste. Overall, South Park: The Stick of Truth is a delightful, laugh-out-loud RPG that fans of the show will adore, providing a fun and unique gaming experience.
This game is insanely well made, however, can anyone tell me how to solve this problem? Everytime I try to see Wong's quest at his shop, he gets to the end of his dialogue and then the game crashes. I've tried updating and restarting both the game and steam but it won't work. Does anyone else have any solutions??
The humor is good, and there is plenty of weapons and characters, and collectibles to go around. The graphics are beautiful as well.
It's pretty good, could be better as much of the puzzle solving comes down to a repetitive gameplay loop, without proper instruction of partner's abilities to make it intuitive, but the humour and tone make this a very fresh experience.
I can't properly describe this game because of community guidelines.
10/10.
South Park fan or not, I'd wager that you'd enjoy this game. It's loaded with references from the show and I enjoyed every second of it.
10/10 would get Dire AIDS again
If you're a fan of the show, this game is a must-have. It perfectly captures the crude humor, outrageous characters, and overall absurdity that makes South Park so iconic. The writing is sharp, witty, and frequently offensive – in the best possible way. It's exactly what you'd expect from a South Park game, and it delivers in spades.
The gameplay is a surprisingly well-executed RPG. The combat system is simple but effective, and the turn-based battles are punctuated with hilarious animations and dialogue. The farting mechanics alone are worth the price of admission. Seriously, you haven't lived until you've unleashed a devastating fart attack on a group of underpants gnomes.
Exploring South Park is a treat in itself. The game perfectly recreates the town, complete with all its familiar locations and quirky residents. Running around, interacting with the characters, and completing side quests is a constant source of amusement. The sheer amount of detail and attention to the source material is impressive. It's like stepping right into an episode of the show.
While the story isn't groundbreaking, it's a fun and engaging adventure that fits perfectly within the established South Park universe. The characters are all perfectly voiced (with the original voice actors, which is a huge plus), and the plot keeps you entertained from beginning to end.
The only minor drawback is that the game can be a little repetitive at times. The combat system, while fun, can become somewhat predictable after a while. But honestly, the sheer amount of humor and nostalgia more than makes up for it.
Overall, South Park: The Stick of Truth is a fantastic game that any fan of the show should play. It's hilarious, nostalgic, and surprisingly well-crafted. Highly recommended!
this game is simple and fun quite like south park(at least how it was back when I still watched it)
I think even you are no fan of south park you're gonna enjoy it
South Park when it first came out... didn't have any relatively decent games like the 1998 3D, Race and another one that was about Chef
But The Stick of Truth is different from everything we saw in its predecessors and is relatively very good!
The RPG gameplay is great
The dialogues are hilarious and even some very unusual ones
Not to mention that there are some things I saw wrong there but it's South Park, it's not to be taken seriously!
I don't need to say about the graphics that it seemed more animated and that we were watching an episode of South Park, right?
It's really fun
Obsidian and UbiSoft got it right at the time!
It's definitely worth it for South Park fans!
WARNING: SPOILERS
I set out on a quest for a legendary universe-controlling stick. played as a magic-farting, circumcision blade-wielding Jew.
I fought against Nazi Zombies and exploding Nazi Zombie cows in the streets and barnsheds. I fought mooing Aliens in deep space who stuck a teleportation device up my a-sshole. I fought underwear-stealing gnomes in the shadow of... my father. I fought spirits living deep up some queer guy's a-sshole to perform an abortion on a nuke that had been stuffed inside him. I fought Al Gore.
I encountered an enormous Nazi zombie fetus. I encountered a family of shit living in the sewers. I encountered an assembly of girls. I encountered the Manbearpig.
In my grand adventure, I discovered my grand Jewish abilities and my grand friendship abilities, accepted my immense fart powers, and learnt that I can't parry for shit. Also, fuck you Cartman. I fart better than you, you literal asshole.
10/10 Play this game before you die.
Cool, funny, dynamic game. Good old jokes from South Park. Lots of cool mechanics, sets, weapons. Nicely drawn graphics that will always be relevant.
The only downside is that there is very little content overall. But I bought it at a very solid discount and for this money it is super.
It is quite funny that the game is blocked in Germany because of nazi symbols :)
finally played this game after 10 years from watching pewdiepie's video
worth the price (discounted) for shits and giggles ; it's legit a whole south park episode as a game
p.s. ike is the best
As a long time fan of the series, I was bound to play this at some point. Finally had the chance to when it was on sale for a pretty great price.
Absolutely loved the game. As many have already said, it felt like a special South Park episode. The storytelling, characters, meta humor, music, and gameplay was on point. I breezed through most of the content as it is quite simple and easy to do.
Unfortunately, there were two frustrating occasions that prevented me from loving this game too much. Which would have to be the lack of clear instructions, and having to either google or going on YouTube like thousands of other players: Using the ability “Nagasaki” outside of battle on first attempt, and progressing through a certain situation involving Randy and a clinic.
Despite my minor critiques, overall i was quite pleased with the game. Easily one of my favorites.
You get to insert yourself into the Southpark world and interact with all the different characters and environments, it's just like playing in an episode.
It's offensive, raunchy, unapologetic and hilarious and i absolutely love it, they don't make games like these anymore.
Clearly made with passion with lots of references, nods and all the different humor and things you'd see in a South Park episode.
Easy recommend if you love South Park.
This is a funny comfy cozy game made for the FANS. that's it.
Each day and night feels like a brand new episode with contributes to the main overall plot of the game.
It's full of references and jokes in the map and inside the menu.
It desnt's ask you for the Ubisoft Launcher so it's a great game.
It is very funny but has some crude humor and is exelent if you have watched the show. also pick jew it is the best (and funnest) class
well, i had no idea what to expect, bought it on sale, ive been bored out of my mind lately. i am so glad i picked up this gem. maybe i wont kill myself lol
Rude, insensitive, offensive. Each chapter escalates in depravity. Never have I been so disturbed doing the things I did in this video game.
Yes, I am recommending you to join in this experience. Especially if you’ve watched South Park’s earlier seasons.
No, don’t do this for achievement hunting. There are many missable achievements, and it is much more fun running wild doing whatever you want.
This is a solid RPG (in the style of JRPG's) centered around the town of South Park and its kids.
If you do not know South Park be aware that it is a show with crass satire adjacent humor. And I mean really crass.
HOWEVER, I have not watched SouthPark itself since the early 2000's and I'd argue that the concepts and story is stand alone enough that not having watched the show shouldn't really impact your... uh... fun, playing this game.
On the crass humor: I am ususally not necessarily a fan of this kind of humor.
My fascination with stories like this or High on Life (which was developed by one of the writers around) or Rick and Morty is because, when they do it well, the writers of these create partialy unhinged worlds or universes that are often utterly absurd while somehow still making sense.
Same counts for this story that uses all the tropes of modern US Countryside life and does the worst/most absurd with it.
So much to the story.
On the gameplay: it is a competent RPG with round based combat.
It has three armor slots for head, body and gloves.
Two weapon slots, one for Meele and one for ranged weapons.
Most of those armors and weapons come with attributes that boost stats or have in combat efffect, like fire and gross.
Most of the armors and weapons also have slots that can be filled with patches that also boost stats or give additional effects like healing, fire, temporary boosts to attack or defence etc.
These patches can also freely be removed and reaplied, for example to better equipment. So none of the will be lost upon applying the, which I find is extremely fair to me the player and lets you experiment with different effects.
You have additionally Fartpowers (Magic) that use Mana and Special Abilities that use PP.
Then you always have one of the other main kid Characters from the show in your party. You can freely change between them outside and during battle excpet during some Story beats.
You gain more of those as you progress trough the story and can upgrade them via "gaining friends". Basically the game uses your social media "friendships" to show your level.
As you complete Quests you encounter more individuals trough them thus level up.
Last but not least there are perks which you get perk points for the same way.
Combat itself feels satisfying and compelling and feels satisfying, to my surprise despite the games overall visual style.
There is also some satisfying, light exploration. Often when you get a new power or partymember
Last but not least and for me personally an important point:
I finished all Quests minus one minor Sidequest in about 16 hours.
The pacing is excellent.
I never had the feeling that any aspect or scenario or quests of the game and story overstayed their welcome except for one minor scene where that was on purpose. I never had the feeling that the game was filling air or wasting my time.
Within this time, the game gave me experience that felt satisfying and most of all complete.

Jogo muito bom, excelente para quem gosta de humor ácido bem estilo South Park do desenho mesmo. Jogabilidade ótima, interações divertidas e uma história muito legal! Recomendo demais!!!
it's pretty good but don't try to 100% it. you need to play through the game at least twice and about half the content is unobtainable after a certain point. There are also several achievements which require you to beat the game while abiding by a certain condition, such as never selling an item or never ending a battle with your buddy dead. These are incredibly easy to mess up and such mistakes cost hours.
One of the only Ubisoft games that doesn't require the Ubi launcher. Also one of the only Ubisoft games with Overwhelmingly Positive reviews. Coincidence? I think not!
Great and unique game!
Okay game if you a fan of South Park, albeit a very easy one even on 'hardcore' difficulty.
The usual South Park fucked up humor is there but if you're one of those wokeys then give it a miss, no one needs to read your letter on why games like this should be taken off Steam and that Cartoon Network is just as bad as Donald Trump. Get off your computer and have a nice vegan Camille tea with stevia.
Game comes with some annoying features though, main one having so suffer through the animations of the buddy's "ultimates". Also, as mentioned earlier, the game is WAY too easy. I can't see anyone struggling with this unless you were born with some defect and never figured out why the little cube just wouldn't go into the triangle shaped hole.
And a big fuck you to the game's ending. You'd expect you get to explore and find the collectibles you missed (you know, give the game some more playtime) but nope, the game hardlocks out of some main areas so you're shit out of luck.
Anyways. Good game if you love South Park. Easy 7/10.
HIGHLY recommend. I cant believe how good this game is.
It isn't just funny, the game play is amazing and reminiscent of a PS2 game.
Every other line will either have you giggling or howling with laughter.
Great game, one of the best games I have ever played when I was a child
100% the game and still had the same fun as in my childhood !!!!!
right click makes you shart your pants. you can throw your poop at enemies. nuff said.
enjoyable "light" RPG (light because the class doesnt matter very much) and it's crude and funny like the show. i was a bit surprised at the fact that it made turn based combat a bit engaging with QTEs, making it a bit less brainless. altho speaking of QTEs, i wish there was more warning, because often i'd be laying back in my chair without a hand on the keyboard, then i'd lose 3/4 of my health because i needed to mash the A button in 0.5 seconds. menus are clunky and some environmental puzzles can blend in a bit too much. cool game, but not a must play.
I really enjoyed the game. The story is fun, silly, funny, sometimes disgusting. lots of black humor. The combat is very satisfying. I recommend it.
Surprisingly engaging and a game that is so obscenely offensive that all of it seems to cancel out each other and becomes stupidly funny, which is what South Park is all about.
Got this on sale and I feel like I'm stealing from the quality of this game.
Only gripe is that the ending felt a bit stale and the difficulty (I was on Hardcore) was fairly easy.
Definitely worth buying at any price, it's really great.
This is a fun game, true to the original contents of South Park with a lot of jokes referencing the TV show and the quests can be pretty challenging as well.
If you're a fan of South Park, you will love what this game has to offer in terms of humour. The combat gets repetitive after a while though.
This is just simply a fun well-made game. It has basic South Park story and it is like you are inside an episode. So if you are too serious and can't appreciate comedy in a game, this ain't for you.
The combat is turn-based with RPG leveling-up and all that. In battle you just have your custom character plus one extra for your main party to attack with.
Just don't get DLC, doesn't add much to game, there is plenty of good gear around.
Overall: 8/10
There is a boss battle where you're fighting under two people shagging eachother. Best purchase I've ever made.
Man, I love this game so much. It's not massive but it has a good amount of the RPG-elements that made me love the genre, collectibles, digestible turn-based combat, and open-world feel. The writing is obviously also really funny, not all jokes land, but most do. It made me audibly go "What the fuck" multiple times on my first playthrough. I love it, I'm on my second playthrough to 100% this game.
Don't play with a keyboard and mouse. The fart cut scene mechanics will make you want to rage quit.
the game is good but CANT SAVE GAME so many people have this issue idk i gonna try fix this
