This game is a love letter to South Park. Everything is either an homage to the series, or a story exactly up to par with the show.
I found myself chuckling a bunch. And it’s a short game which is a blessing after RDR 2 took 60 hours to complete.
This game is at its best when you’re up against the wall. I mean that despite the frustration I experienced against the wall. When you’re full of health heals and revives, it becomes a matter of if, not when, you beat thr opponent. But when you’re empty, that’s when you got to be creative, very similar to how I felt playing starfield. Though - it’s best to play with those in hand.
You get a sidekick when you fight. I found myself sticking to one until it switched on me, they’re all different but good in their own ways and easy to pick up on the fly if it switches up on you. Butters and Stan were my favorites (Stan is my favorite character in the series) and Jimmy was fun to play. Only played Kyle once and wish I did more.
Good game
Had this game on PS3 and never finished the game. Now playing it on my PC/Laptop, Really great RPG and story/funny/immature/you know very Southpark!
A true South Park experience. Every time my wife (who is unfamiliar with South Park) looked over at my screen, it was always at the worst moments. It made her question my sanity and our marriage.
You can not save in the game! It's 2025, the developers haven't fixed the bug on the game that was released a decade ago. Fan-fu#king-tastic!
Played it more than ten years ago and it seems it got even better with time.
Simple, but surprisingly enjoyable gameplay. The same can be said about RPG system.
Plot is funny, dialogues are hilarious and the ridiculousness is on par with the animated series.
Must play for people liking South Park.
I expected something else. Maybe it would be okay to watch someone play it but i didn't enjoying actually playing.
When South Park: The Stick of Truth was first announced, expectations were… mixed. Could an RPG based on an animated series known for toilet humor and political jabs really work? As it turns out: yes—spectacularly so.
This isn’t just a solid South Park game. It’s a genuinely fun RPG wrapped in a 12-hour episode of the show, lovingly built by the creators themselves. It’s absurd, offensive, self-aware—and way better than it has any right to be.
You play as the New Kid in town (aka “Douchebag”) who gets swept up in an epic fantasy-style LARP war between humans and elves, led by Cartman and Kyle respectively. What starts as foam swords and backyard alliances quickly spirals into a world-ending mess involving aliens, Nazis, underpants gnomes, and Taco Bell cover-ups.
It’s hilarious chaos in true South Park fashion.
Beneath the crude exterior is a surprisingly competent turn-based RPG. You build your character from one of four classes (Warrior, Mage, Thief, or Jew—yes, really), each with unique skills. Battles are timing-based, a little like Paper Mario, with button presses for attack and defense boosts.
There’s a full loot system, status effects, summons, side quests, and plenty of upgrades. It’s streamlined—never too deep—but mechanically solid and satisfying for casual RPG fans.
This is where Stick of Truth truly shines. It’s written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and it shows. Every line, every mission, every background detail oozes with their signature brand of satire, shock, and social commentary. From fart-based magic to alien abductions to a certain unforgettable level inside a certain someone, the game constantly pushes boundaries—and then kicks them in the groin for good measure.
Yes, it’s crude. Yes, it’s offensive. But it’s also clever, often using absurdity to highlight real-world absurdities. Fans of the show will be in heaven; newcomers may be shocked, confused—or oddly converted.
Visually, the game is the show. The 2D animation is flawlessly replicated in real time, making it feel like you’re literally playing a 12-hour South Park episode. The voice acting is, of course, top-tier—because it’s the actual cast.
Even the menus and UI are on-brand: ridiculous, scribbled-in-notebook interfaces with weapon stats like “+5 gross-out damage” and equipment like “Wife Beater (Common).”
If there’s one major knock, it’s the length—most players will finish it in 10–12 hours. And while the writing is top-notch for fans, the humor might be too extreme for some, especially during the more infamous scenes (if you’ve played it, you know which ones).
The difficulty is also quite forgiving; it’s not a game you play for challenge—more for story and spectacle.
South Park: The Stick of Truth isn’t just a good licensed game—it’s a love letter to the series and a proof-of-concept that great writing can elevate even the most ridiculous premises. Equal parts RPG and outrageous comedy, it’s a must-play for fans and a surprisingly solid game for genre enthusiasts.
A smart, savage, and strangely heartwarming RPG adventure—provided you’ve got the stomach for it.
Rating: 9/10
best turn-base RPG with mixture of trolling content : medival, UFO, gay, poo, ass, sexual, social satirical. Recommend for anti-woke people to play once in life,
Anyway, how actually funny of this game is, when i play showing my friend and he can't comment anything but act void face with every scene relate to poop and gay lololololol
The story just got funnier and funnier as gameplay progressed. Even though the game is a decade old it still holds up perfectly. The combat was well executed and engaging. Theres the perfect amount of side quest/objectives without overstaying its welcome. My only complaint was that some of the "ability" puzzles to progress through the story/path was a little unclear and frustrating at times. Other than that, highly recommend - the game is very memorable and comedic gold.
Stuck at the Sneaky Squeaker training. Can't get past it. Seems to be bugged. I looked up a ton of explanations online but still no fixes. To be clear it's a fun game but having a mini game that stops your entire progress after investing 6 plus hours is very frustrating and why I stopped playing the game.
Update: Switched to my steam deck and was able to progress past the mini game. Really annoying though. Still a great game.
Amazing all round game that is one of the most faithful to source material games i've ever played
If you're a fan of the show it's perfect, every bit. This is exactly what it would be like to play inside a south park movie. Really fun take on the gameplay too, given that turn based combat is really devisive for people they did a really good job at keeping it just as fun while keeping you entertained, hundreds of funny gimmicks too that even if you lost you'd come away laughing, Kenny's abilities still get me after hours of playing. The only gripe i have is if you're trying to collect everything possible in the game it's a nightmare, there's a lot you can miss but i feel like this game appeals more to people who want a fun adult game centred around south part so it's a meh point, just bothered me after playing for a while.
8/10, really good game that just offers free nonstop entertainment that elevates it above just being a game, nice breath of fresh air for me
I am so shocked how good this game was.
The fighting system was good (i was a bit tired of spamming the jew class spells), but other then that it had so much variety (your team members).
I love games where you unlock new abilities to progress (anal sond etc.)...
Honestly, south park is by far the best animated show on tv and this game was a fucking surprice how good it is. Thanks Matt and Trey, you are insane-
South Park: The Stick of Truth is not only one of the best video game adaptations of a TV show ever made—it's also a brilliant turn-based RPG and a comedic masterpiece that stands on its own merit.
From the very beginning, the game throws you headfirst into the chaotic, irreverent world of South Park, with a story that feels like a full-length interactive episode of the show. Every frame bursts with the signature crude humor, satirical jabs, and ridiculous scenarios fans have come to love. But what truly makes The Stick of Truth shine is how well it balances its comedic genius with surprisingly solid gameplay.
The turn-based combat system is simple to pick up, but satisfying in execution. Battles require thoughtful timing, smart item usage, and character synergy—not unlike what you'd expect in more traditional RPGs. Each class has its own unique abilities and ridiculous attacks, like summoning Mr. Slave or calling in an airstrike from Jesus. It’s absurd in all the best ways, but still requires a level of strategy that makes every fight fun and rewarding.
What sets this game apart is its ability to weave humor directly into the mechanics. Even in combat, the jokes never stop—enemy taunts, ability animations, and even status effects are laced with comedy. Somehow, the game manages to maintain that fine line between parody and homage to RPG classics, poking fun at genre tropes while delivering a genuinely good one.
The writing is razor-sharp, the voice acting is authentic (with creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone fully involved), and the world is packed with Easter eggs, side quests, and fan service that make South Park feel truly alive.
Whether you're a fan of the show or just looking for a turn-based RPG with a unique personality, The Stick of Truth is a must-play. It’s clever, endlessly entertaining, and one of the funniest games ever made. Simply put, it’s a comedy goldmine wrapped in a surprisingly polished RPG experience.
Amazing Game in my humble opinion.
Extremely funny, nice gameplay, good achievments
10/10, would buy again
It's like being in an episode of South Park. All the characters are on point, they have dialogues and it's borderline Meta as well. Love it. The exploring is amazing, with all the trophies, easter eggs, the references are amazing as well. If you're a South Park fan, this game is must play!
i have never watched south park but good game, from what i know of south park as a series the game just feels like one big playable episode of it.
FYI
Get ready to have regular problems with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ uplay and being unable to play a game u
paid for. game is ok btw
It's practically a playable story line of southpark. The Humor is crass but that's to be expected from southpark. The RPG aspects are simple but functional and don't take away from the experience at all.
Blew me out of the fucking water. It FEELS like you are in a fantasy world while also feeling like your playing fantasy as a kid. Its a perfect balance. Not only that but as a game its fucking phenomenal, great story, great game play. Like Its just perfect.
Good fun, funny, rarely overstays it's welcome and it is only somewhat repetitive feeling, that being said toward the end it felt a tiny bit like a chore to complete.
Treat it like an extra long episode of the show and don't expect anything from it and it will entertain greatly. 67/100 or 3/5. If you really like the show then get it, otherwise get it on discount.
this is a very good and exciting game to play with family. i played the whole game with my 5 younger cousins and they loved it!
South Park's sense of humour shines through and the Easter eggs in countless episodes often make me laugh.
There is so much to do and collect in this open world.
If you're a fan of the series, or just enjoy South Park's humour, this game is definitely for you.
If you are a South Park fan, it's just one of those things you have to experience. It pays homage to key moments throughout the series time & time again. The game is full of a ton of collectibles, people to talk to, an endless supply of content, and an infinite amount of laughs.
They couple all of these positives w/ a narrative that fits seamlessly into the universe & gampelay elements that keep you engaged. Highly recommend.
played it for the first time in 2014, and have replayed it multiple times over the years and still do it until now. i dont even watch the show its just a damn good game.
i wish they made a third game but im still autistic enough to be happy replaying this constantly
With a replay in the year 2025 to finish the achievements, this game still holds up being over 10 years old. Solid story and enjoyable combat makes this game the wonder that it is.
Fun game if you know the show. The hunting quest targets are not as obvious, but start on them early. The best weapon is the Broken Bottle (a weapon, not a junk item) because it causes bleeding and gross-out on a hit, plus you can add a fire damage weapon "strap-on" to it, and then the target gets all three damage types in one hit. The effects stack when hit again, so if you hit someone twice with Bleeding, they have Bleeding x2. This stacking of lingering effects is the key to winning. Stack effects on each turn by hitting with the bottle and watch enemies go down on their own. You have to fight someone to get the Broken Bottle, in a filthy place (which is why is has the gross-out built-in).
Butters hits really hard, and has an electrical attack for multiple targets. Opponents always attack him first, so he is a great companion. You stay healthy while you feed him potions to keep him going. We wasted dire bears like crazy. Stan was good too, especially early in the game. Kenny comes back to life, so that is handy. The enemies' armor goes way up as you gain levels, so you have to use powers instead of weapons once you gain levels. For that reason, focus on patches and strap-ons that put lingering effects on your targets. Use the dragonshout fart to clear the swarms of rats on the map edges. Near the end of the story at high level, when you get the Rebirth patch, use it, you will need it. It makes you come back to life when you die in combat. I didn't even know what it did until it happened. Also, keep the highest armor class possible. Some gloves give a great boost, and there are patches for armor too, use those. AC can go up to well over 100. Keep the 4th level alien armor the whole game, it is the best because it absorbs two hits, regardless of strength. Wish the game was playable with a controller.
Absolutely comical, easy turn-based combat with a handful of challenges. Mostly a game to play for a good laugh which was well worth it!
easily the best south park game, and probably the best tv show-based game out there. absolutely fun and true to the source material. this is a must play!
This game still holds up after a decade since its initial release.
Whilst being locked at 30fps, it being turn based doesn't need a high refresh rate, especially since it is identical to the television show!
Excellent humour and solid, turn-based gameplay!
Awesome Game!!! The movement. The Storytelling. The character designs. The Controls. Just everything is perfect. Only "complaint" i have is that it wasnt even longer. The lil details everywhere. The Abilities. The different areas to explore and the combat is so fun and relaxing. I really enjoyed this game and i cant wait to replay it with all the different classes. I can defiently recommend this!!! (Dont waste your money on the sequel tho. its nothing like this so dont get your hopes up to high...i was highly dissapointed)
the game still holds up well humor wise but.... the switch version runs better than the pc version. idk what yall were thinking with this port but it wasnt opimized for pc or play tested. character lines play out of sync, game needs to be reopened to sync sound effects back up with cut scenes, sometimes doesnt register blocks, etc. other than that its great still
I don't think you need to be a South Park fan to enjoy the game. But I do think, in order to get the most out of it, you do need a certain sense of humor. And it helps to enjoy turn-based games. While it's not really for me, I'm glad that we have funny RPG's! It's nice to play something that doesn't take itself too seriously, while having some pretty in depth combat.
Really high quality. One of the best games ive played. If you like south park you gotta
You can get anally probed and get an abortion as a 9 year old. 11/10 game, would be molested by aliens again.

Platinei o jogo, é uma pequena que a ubisoft provavelmente nunca mais lançará nenhum jogo que presta de south park. Então tenho que me contentar com os antigos: stick of truth, fractured but whole.
Enquanto lançaram aquela merda de show day
i brought this game thinking it was a kids game for my son but i was so wrong. it was more than a kids game now everyday i hear my son replaying the gnome level it is making go crazy,
great game highly recommend
Good game. A South Park extended episode with good gameplay, lots of charm and love put into the game you'll notice . The 4 class choices are excellent considering you're probably going to have to do 3 playthroughs to get all the achievements .
игра сама по себе веселая, квесты угарные, повороты сюжета будто в настоящей серии южного парка, но под конец заебывают однообразны файты, 7 из 10, некст часть горазно лучше.
the game is pretty funny, very engaging battles that have made me rage quit many of times. The game I pick when I don't want to focus too hard
This game is gold. I'm not a big fan of the series, I've only seen a few episodes and I know the general idea, four boys, a small town and making fun of everything that's nonsensical. That's why I didn't have high expectations, but I gave this game a chance and I don't regret it. I played the entire game on steam deck where it works great and for three days I couldn't tear myself away from it. If you don't have a stick up your ass and are open to merciless humor, it doesn't matter what age you are, this game will win you over.
South Park: The Stick of Truth lets you save the world by beating up gingers, fighting Nazi zombies, and weaponizing flatulence. Peak gaming. 10/10
Sehr geiles Game gibts nix zu bemängeln sollte man gespielt haben oder man verpasst was.
Stick of Truth is fun feels like you’re actually in a South Park episode. The jokes are funny, the story's crazy, and the gameplay's simple but fun. If you love the show, you’ll totally enjoy it.
South Park: The Stick of Truth is a laugh-filled RPG that perfectly embodies the quirky essence of the show. Players take on the role of "The New Kid" and dive into a comical journey packed with satire, outrageous battles, and engaging storytelling. The game's design captures the familiar animation style, making it a treat for fans. Though the gameplay is fun and imaginative, it leans towards simplicity and is relatively short. An excellent pick for South Park enthusiasts and those who appreciate humour-driven games.
Good game for adults and best game for South Park fans
its like actually playing an episode of south park, super fun, and a ton of references, the combat can be tricky sometimes, but still very enjoyable 8 out of 10
Great fun. Lots to do, lots to explore, funny dialog and good combat. If you are on a potato computer, drop your graphics a little or you will have delays for inputs which is important for blocking and attacking.
This game was good, shame its somewhat censored here in Australia but its not world ending. I love the humor and the gameplay whist janky is well made
I have beaten the game twice, once in 2023 on PC and my latest one 2025 on my steam deck.
small spoilers
Both of these times I had alot of fun and injoyed the crazy things they did, the story was fun and the combat was very well made! The final boss was cool but after killing it twice the boss got boring. Seeing chef in this game was also a massive suprise the first time I played it!
Will be coming back to this game at the end of the year!!!
