About the Game
Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps. With additional content still to come, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.

This game is genuinely trash. I will honestly never pay money for call of duty again.
Maps are ass, hit detect not as responsive as other cods, zombies is fun, omnimovement is amazing along with the gunplay. The optimization is better now than the first couple months of release. Worth it on sale! Hackers aren't as rampant as they make it out to be atleast in mp not sure bout high ranks in ranked mode tho.
to all you people saying its a copy paste, it has been like that for how many years now? you guys continue to buy these games every year and complain and give the same negative reviews... that is not going to help fix this game. you know what will? if you STOP BUYING THESE GAMES!!! period.
Devs definitely are overpaid and this game proves every such thing. I would rather play an 8 bit dungeon crawler called barony i spent 30$ on. On top of that the space optimization is insanely horrendous, graphics are barely worth a second thought, and zombies/campaign has next to no replay ability. I would rather spend 70$ on ciggs and smoke them all than buy this game a second time to be honest with yall.
Absolute trash, Only the campaign and zombies were good. The rest is worst then any of the COD. Nothing to get you to hook on playing this game. Multiplayer is shit, gunsmith is shit, warzone is shit, the whole thing is not as fun as 2019 MW. They got all the resources and can still fuck it up, just like Turn 10. The developer don't listen to its consumer, just a greedy money making company and use their feet to make the game. Meanwhile always updating on new skins to scam people and not a single change on how to get better gameplay.
Absolutely a disappointing game, the way the game moves is horrendous and such a waste of 70 bucks. 2XP is a trash way to bring players into the game, which there are cheater in the game that doesn't make it enjoyable. Just tedious grinds for weapons that have no meaning and a waste of time. SO... whoever is
reading this comment don't buy the game because its just a scam for them to make their profit.
Absolutely cannot launch the BO6 game now, even after reinstall and verification of files. Worked prior to update, this is unacceptable and legally sketchy behavior on the part of developers. Absolutely NO support, or help PERIOD from developers or Steam. Avoid this POS at all cost.
Alright, I know I'm probably wasting my time here, but it's my time, I'll waste it how I choose.
I'm a 40 year old Father and Husband who has played every single Call Of Duty game at least a little bit, all the way back to Call of Duty 3 on Xbox 360, but in most cases a decent amount and probably above the average. I switched over to PC gaming in 2015 but also still play a little on Playstation from time to time. My wife and son also play video games and we all enjoy some R&R in a few rounds of team death match together here and there. I have built my wife and son their own gaming computers over the past several years as we all 3 transitioned from consoles to pc. My wife and I even still to this day, take a week of vacation to enjoy that "kid like experience" of a Call of Duty launch and even though a new game launch is normally not perfect, it's still the experience and we enjoy that week. I'm saying all of this to paint a picture of the type of player I am, a little of who I am and why I play.
There are many issues with modern Call of Duty games that are very annoying to me. From the type of skins in the game to battle pass stuff but I shrug all of that off and still love to grab a glass of whiskey in the evening, grab my favorite load out "that I literally never change" and jump into a hard core free for all match and chill out. That is the vibe I enjoy most of the time I am playing.
What has become increasingly and incredibly frustrating over time is the amount of people who accuse myself and my family of cheating just because we have a good match and maybe even went full try hard for a round or 2 and people start reporting us for cheating. Then we get shadow banned and the game is a horrible experience for a long while with horrible ping and connection issues until that unwarranted penalty is lifted.
I have other friends who play Call of Duty on pc as well and who have also experienced this same issue. None of us are insanely good players. We are average at best. My son being the best of us and significantly better than myself. But even he still definitely does not have the stats that a cheater should have.
I have truly started to feel like those of us who play on pc are accused of cheating and reported just for the simple fact that they can see we are not on console and are instantly assumed to be a "pc hacker".
I understand that some people do cheat on pc, but what can be done to protect those of us who don't and are accused of and disciplined because of the bad actions of others?
I can guarantee that my wife, son or myself have absolutely never cheated in a video game. We have never installed any sort of cheating software and I don't even know how that shit works or where to get it. I would never do that. Not only would it ruin the fun of the game for me, but it would also risk the Activision account that I have had since they were originally created.
I haven't cheated in ANY video game since I got a Game Shark as a birthday gift for a console when I was a kid and didn't even have the internet.
Would I reccomemd… HELL NO!
Had not played the game is 3 weeks but still had it installed. Cpu process stats showed it was running 24/7 even when my pc was not powered on . Monitoring my pc for hidden processes and tasks and discovered cod was not only running a ghost process in the background while running other games but keeping my system on in a low power state as long as it had an active ethernet connection! How fun! It would schedule to turn on a low power process for 3 minutes after a shutdown if was to successfully return 0 or when the pc had bandwidth of over 15% or 5 minutes of inactivity. It would then not turn itself off until COD was turned back on or the conditions were not met.
Uninstalled that shit and forcefully removed every trace of it and the dlls it installed to facilitate its ghost process.
This game is not only infested with cheaters but it tries to network your pc to use for distributed processing without permission or compensation. Those are extra resource expenses and processing time I am paying for, for ZERO gain at direct personal detriment. 95% of people would never notice and I am sure that is why they do it.
Scummy as hell to take advantage of customers to such an egregious degree. I hope valve takes action on behalf of the player.
I was able to fit it on my SSD alone. Because you know. 260 gb is alot for a single game. But tell me why, it now takes 400 GB AFTER A SINGLE SEASON CHANGE AND CAN NO LONGER FIT ON MY SSD. Not only is it AI slop but its so unoptimized and so uncompressed I will now have to choose on playing Call of Duty or uninstalling everything else just to run this dog shit.
Chat moderators will ban you for using the same language they use throughout the game. One upset person in the lobby and one curse word latter you are chat banned. THIS GAME IS RATE M FOR 17+ FOR STRONG LANGUAGE, there should not be any chat moderation in the lobbies.
Trash game. COD multiplayer keeps getting worse and worse. Sbmm cranked to the highest. Can’t play a single game without hackers
Imma be real with my review.
Game is fun and all i can't deny that, actually the most fun i've had after playing MW3 2023, Zombies is great too. But thanks to the fully and completely working Anticheat i got a temp ban because the game AND my PC constantly crash after 2 or 3 matches and thanks to salty toxic players spam reporting you.
If you want to take the risk to get banned for your game crashing or simply killing someone, then this is the right game for you.
Was good around release, but tons of AI generated content- which was originally undisclosed, and their disclaimer doesn't cover just how much they use.
Now they just want your money.
Campaign's good; a little bit goofy compared to previous Black Ops entries. Feels like a Marvel Captain America movie at times.
Haven't tried Zombies.
Multiplayer's good but after a few days it just feels miserable and it drains the life out of you probably because of the SBMM. I just want to level my guns, man. Fuck.
Overall just feels like a worse Cold War. Not sure if I'd recommend it.
This game's kind of a joke. A multi billion dollar studio with all of the artists and design talent earned from a longstanding legacy once again churns out a set of some of the worst maps in the series on top of an engineering disaster that is the new IW engine. The lack of any anti-aliasing, opting for pure GPU upscaled garbage makes this game look like mud and runs significantly worse than Cold War. The previous generation of CoD games (Warzone 1 era) all ran excellently on my hardware and I spent a solid chunk of time on them. With this being my first entry in the Warzone 2/CoD HQ batch, it's shocking how this game just can't maintain 60 fps and looks worse than the previous games. It's a shame because the Zombies and MP are such a huge step up (outside of the lack of Outbreak mode) and when it works, it plays really good.
But the constant server disconnects, crashes and needing to reset the game because of a steam connection hiccup does not make this game worth keeping on my drive for 135 whole gigs. This isn't even mentioning how genuinely terrible most of these cosmetics look and how clearly AI-made the calling cards and skins are.
Which I am very much thankful for- as this game does an excellent job at saving you money because the lack of a consistent vision on the cosmetic packs and total confusion on what it wants to do. People weren't kidding when they say the series lost its identity pretty hard, as none of these battle pass designs look like they're worth a shit and given how the team is opting to save money by generating all of this through AI; this makes the art team look incompetent. I appreciate their honesty in how much they want to cut costs from their art department because you immediately know that the quality of the content pumped out for the game is going to be worse than the immediate competition.
A passing glance at any of the weapon skins being overdesigned garbage with barely legible text or excessively dazzling particle effects just makes you question who these are made for because most of them genuinely look terrible. They're all muck that's desperate to grab your attention with bright colors and really basic themes that have all been done again and again. The only ones that really feel like they had artistry put into them are all referential from the series' legacy but they all require you to poopsock the game for Prestige to get them.
Complete pass from me, get Cold War instead.
This is probably the best cod from a core gameplay perspective since like MW2019 - but honestly the simple act of just launching the game is such an unnecessary pain in the ass, it's ruined it for me.
This is supposed to be an ultra-casual shooter, but after a full days work and a full evening of spending time with my family, the last thing I want to do with my handful of free time before bed each night is waste it watching the fucking shaders compile because of all these these stupid micro-updates every week that refresh the cash shop with more junk I'll never buy.
This is my first CoD, I haven't played Warzone or anything else. Can't speak for the other games in this series but this one ain't great.
From what I could play of the campaign it's ok, nothing crazy fairly generic, you're set up with a team to hunt down a paramilitary group who's developing a bioweapon or somesuch. Got a little over halfway and the game starting glitching out and wouldn't let me play anymore so that was fun. I haven't played zombies mode so I can't speak on that.
As for the multiplayer which is where most of my 150 hrs of playtime comes from, the gunplay and movement is good but everything else is a disaster. Half the maps are ass, crashes and bugs galore with the game having some extreme server lag every few games (my buddy gets it too it's not just me). The skill based matchmaking sucks, one game it'll put you in with players who might as well be bots, and when you sweep that game the next one it puts you with sweats. There's no in between. Also there's a paid battle pass for a $70 GAME! It's just too much I can't anymore there's so many better games I could be playing.
4/10 only cause I had some fun playing with my buddy, but a whole lot more frustration.
Lmao good job using AI. Treat your employees better.
Also this game most likely fucked my RAM sticks, maybe even a second time.
GG
This has to be the worst COD experience i've ever had.
Spent 80 euro to try the campain and it failed on every single aspect! cinematics every 5 seconds, clunky gameplay, poorly responisve enemies, 0 degrees of freedom.
What happend to the MWF 2 and 3 days?
This game is not worth more than a couple of bucks, stick to WZ, alteast its free!
hire ups are too money hungry to hire artists so they have to use AI art to advertise events. yikes.
ranked system is bullshit constantly putting me against better players just to demote me, been trying for 2 days constantly to rank up but still at silver since I am always 1st on the scoreboard but my teammates are literal bots. Also campaign is garbage do not buy this game.
209 hours in, just prestige mastered.
I think I'm free? Not from the game, I'll stick around 'til everyone else jumps ship to the next Call Of Duty. But I have no faith that my issues with the game will be rectified in later entries... so I won't be coming back for Black Ops 7.
First, the positive - though others seem to hate it, I'm actually enjoying the omni-movement. I always mashed the run button anyway, so it actually doing something is nice. Going back to Cold War (how I miss you)'s multiplayer felt agonizing after playing so much of this. Being able to slide AND dolphin dive is just the best. The gameplay of multiplayer is fun, in my opinion.
... I also like the Zombies map Terminus. I sort of latched on to Cold War Zombies' lore trying to enjoy it despite its mediocrity, so I like the main cast too. Even if I didn't, having a real cast is certainly better than just... operators (sorry, Beck from Cold War, you know I love you).
So yeah, that's about it for the positives. The negatives?
A.I., A.I., and A.I. are the three biggest issues. First of all, a lot of the graphics are (quite obviously) A.I. generated. Second, most of the text is (quite obviously) A.I. generated. Third, if a lot of those voice clips (Blanchard, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, etc., and yes, there are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...) actually AREN'T A.I. generated, then voice actors, please listen - refine your craft right now, because you absolutely cannot let your deliveries be confused with current A.I..
The A.I. use is by far the laziest thing I've seen from a video game. There are things they could have SCREENSHOTTED FROM AN EARLIER GAME that they just chose to A.I. generate instead.
That should probably be enough to convince people not to bother with this slop, but beyond that... though multiplayer's gameplay is fun, the maps themselves are just atrocious. Mostly tiny and uninteresting design. Skyline has a little passage between both sides of the map where you can enable a security system which is neat, but that's about it.
The zombies plotline, if you still care, doesn't really seem to be going anywhere. There's Peck, Weaver, Raptor One, all the characters you barely remember and... tolerate? I say that as someone who likes them - do you REALLY care? I mean, REALLY? Beyond "ooh weaver from the campaigns i liked". Richtofen's up to something, there's a machine that canonically sounds like Sam but there's (rightfully) some voice actor drama behind the scenes so it doesn't ACTUALLY sound like her. But do you CARE?
There's third-person in Zombies now. DO YOU CARE?! Don't buy this!
10/10 game. If you really hate your life and want to embrace the suck then this game is for you. You will never experience joy or fun playing this game. The anti cheat is ass and every lobby is full of cheaters despite them saying they are working on a fix. So you can look forward to getting shot through walls, shooting fucking marshmallows and getting spawn camped in this rendition of sweaty discord mods saying you have no life and thinking they are better than you. Despite them smelling like a mix a onions, body odor, and rotten dick cheese. If you have a full time job and want to relax, you can do so while screaming at the top of your lungs and getting com banned for saying the word "fuck."
Arguably has the most significant falloff in COD history. What started as a kind of return-to-form after the last couple entries has turned into the usual mess it advertised it was moving away from.
Campaign is stellar and an absolute must-play Call of Duty story, picking up storylines from Black Ops 1, 2, and Cold War.
Multiplayer is pretty much the same as you'd find it in every game between Modern Warfare 2019 and Modern Warfare III 2023. Mechanically, the new omni-movement system does provide some new gameplay opportunities, but the game is monetized like crazy and really takes away from the experience.
Zombies started as an improvement over the last couple entries, finding itself as a mix of Black Ops 4 and Cold War zombies. That being said, it has a lot of handholding reminiscent of WW2 zombies.
Every 2-3 rounds the game encounters a direct x error and crashes and the lobbys are super laggy and buggy.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU HAVE OVER 3 HOURS IN CALL OF DUTY AS IF YOU TRY TO REFUND IT AS A DLC STEAM WILL BLOCK THE REFUND AS IT WILL SHOW TOTAL PLAY TIME BETWEEN ALL CALL OF DUTY GAMES
I've not plated COD for a while because I've been busy in life, I thought I'd treat myself (seeing as it was on sale, £70 for this game normally). I played for less than an hour. What on earth has happened to this series? It is awful, such a bad game, I understand they push micro-transactions (that's the norm now), but look at the characters, this game looks like it was developed for 6 year olds, I thought call of duty was about warfare, not running around in cosplay costumes like a bunch of fairies. Compare this to Call of Duty World at War, now that's a proper COD game. Don't play this. I'll try the next COD but if is anything like this, I'll be done with COD, which is such a shame. The end of an era for me. If you like this sort of game, go play Fortnite instead.
Only thing good about this game now is the campaign.
I cannot stand the AI slop they're using to maximise profits, I will no longer support Activision until they hire back all the proper Artists they replaced with AI. And neither should you.
Disgusting use of AI in this game. For a company this large, AI usage should not even be considered. People are paying some crazy amounts of money for rewards made by AI and the quality is absolute dogshit. This is all not even mentioning how unethical generative AI is for real artists as well. The voice actors pulling out was a warning and its going to get worse fast.
On the gameplay side, the Zombies mode suffers from being post Cold War zombies in that it does not follow the original zombies formula. Me and my friends play WaW, Black ops 1, 2, and 3 way more individually than Cold war and BO6 combined.
Having to advertise this game as the "Return of Round based Zombies" just to get people excited is so telling of how little effort went into making this game, how little fans care for what Activision has been doing recently, and how terrible recent gameplay decisions have been.
game had crazy potential at release but ruined it with micro transactions and lazy ai generated slop, game is genuine fortnite slop now
Black Ops 6, leading up to its release was promising to be one of the better call of duty in a long time. Due to the fact they want to keep implementing AI to generate their content upon release, the game fell off quickly. The game and series as a whole has seemed to have lost its own identity and grips at other IPs to stay relevant. It tries to implement FOMO during their limited time events, should you miss out on the limited time events, have no fear they allow you purchase them . Also why does any of the newer CoD games need to have this Call of Duty sub-hub / launcher implemented within every game. Game was a major cash grab, would not recommend. When you make a game that tries to appease everyone, you appease no one. Your money would likely be better spent on Battlefield 6 instead
[Disclaimer: I'm mainly focusing on zombies, but will touch upon other aspects]
The campaign was really fun, and things felt fresh upon launch, it looked like we were in for a fun ride over the next year.
Then, the bundles. I didn't mind the crazy skins at times, I guess it was inevitable. But then, some of the assets looked odd. Then you hear about the layoffs in the art department. Their use of AI in the game was starting to concern me, but I was excited, a new zombies map was coming out before the year's end!
The map was amazing, fun, and replayable, but one glaring feature remained. Suddenly, S.A.M.'s voice was different. It didn't sound right. You look back for a comparison to make sure you aren't insane, only to find out it was retroactively changed. Then, you learn why it was changed. At this point, all hope is effectively gone.
Until another map is announced early in the year. It was so intriguing to get another map so soon. You re-download it and boot it up. The wonder weapon, usually in a set of four, is isolated and seemingly out of place. The music, an obvious nostalgia bait. The boss fight? Haunted furniture with enemies that can one-hit you.
TL;DR - It's sad to see a game with such promise on launch suddenly crumble apart faster than a sand castle against a tsunami.
Bro, i havnt even started the game and i already hate it.
from having to modify my steam account, make a activision account and add a fucking phone number consider me not keen.
sorry but since when were vidoe games more than click play? how many accounts for shit ill never play again do i need? every single one apparntly and its really not a selling point.
great campaign and pretty fun multiplayer
but it, just like any other video game, is not worth 70 fucking dollars (75 with tax)
video games need to cost less especially if they're only going to have as much content as they did back in the early 2000s.
not saying that it's bad that they don't have a crazy amount of content, but publishers should stop acting like they do.
Honestly, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 feels like it's at a breaking point, and it’s tough to ignore how much it’s overdue for a serious overhaul. Yeah, I get that microtransactions are basically the norm these days, but they can't be the only focus of a game. It’s hard not to feel like this is just another cash grab from Activision – and that completely ruins the vibe when you’re actually trying to enjoy the game.
Let’s talk about the online experience: it’s riddled with cheaters, which is becoming way too common in games like this. And, oh man, the user interface is just clunky and frustrating. Navigating to multiplayer shouldn’t feel like wandering through a digital maze, but here we are. Not to mention, the game files are so bloated that every update feels like an eternity, and constant crashes make you want to pull your hair out. You shouldn’t have to restart your game just to get back to the action!
And can we discuss skill-based matchmaking? It’s like casual gameplay has completely vanished, leaving us with intense matches that feel more stressful than fun. Plus, if you finally manage to find a good group of players, good luck sticking together; the game just kicks you out without warning. Adding friends is another hassle with the confusing menu setup, which just makes everything feel like a chore.
At this point, it’s frustrating just trying to get into a game. All of this makes you feel less like a gamer enjoying an epic battle and more like someone trudging through a mountain of menus and ads. It's disappointing, to say the least. Black Ops 6 has potential, but it desperately needs to reconnect with its player base before it loses them for good.
This is a game for cheaters. If you use any kind of aim bot or hacks this is the game for you. You wont get banned either so no worries there. So if you are into a fast pace hacker vs hacker game look no further this is the game for you. However, if you play games to enjoy them and have fun don't waste your money here.
I like the game. I don’t like the fact that the game has to have a constant internet connection to play. You can’t play this game offline everything is online even story mode need an online connection to play it.
So, this is my first time "writing" a review on a game, i have been thinking to "write" it since i had 10 hours on it (idk why it says i have 0 hours), and i have never been so negative about a game like i am with this one, maybe war thunder but that's at least free to play. So i asked AI to write it like many recent reviews to put as much effort as Activision puts on this game, i paid 60 euros for it and out of approximaetly 1000 matches i played i enjoyed in 10 of them, so as long as it stays like that and with all these microtransactions and fortnite like skins my review is negative.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 – A Disheartening Descent into Mediocrity
The Call of Duty franchise, once a paragon of first-person shooters, has with its latest installment, Black Ops 6, delivered a profoundly disappointing experience that underscores a troubling trend of declining quality and disregard for its dedicated fanbase.
Technical Catastrophe
From the moment of its release, Black Ops 6 has been plagued by a litany of technical issues that render it virtually unplayable for many. Players across all platforms report frequent crashes, abysmal frame rates, and persistent networking problems. These issues are not confined to a single mode but permeate the entire game, affecting campaign, multiplayer, and zombies alike. Despite a series of patches and hotfixes, these problems persist, highlighting a glaring lack of quality assurance and an apparent rush to market.
Multiplayer Mayhem
The multiplayer component, traditionally the cornerstone of the Call of Duty experience, is marred by poor map design and erratic spawn points. The maps are uninspired, lacking the strategic depth and balance that characterized earlier entries in the series. Players frequently find themselves spawning directly into enemy fire, leading to frustrating and chaotic matches that prioritize randomness over skill. This fundamental flaw undermines the competitive integrity of the game and alienates both casual and hardcore players.
Campaign Calamity
The single-player campaign is a disjointed and uninspired affair, squandering its 1990s Gulf War setting with lackluster storytelling and unimaginative mission design. A particularly egregious example is a late-game mission that awkwardly shoehorns the zombies mode into the campaign, resulting in a tedious and nonsensical experience that feels more like filler than a meaningful narrative progression. The game also fails to effectively utilize its period-specific soundtrack, missing opportunities to enhance the atmosphere and immersion.
Zombies Mode – A Lifeless Husk
Once a beloved staple of the franchise, the zombies mode in Black Ops 6 is a shadow of its former self. The map selection is sparse and lacks creativity, offering little incentive for players to engage with the mode beyond a cursory playthrough. There is a pervasive sense that the current zombies experience is intentionally lackluster, potentially paving the way for future paid downloadable content—a tactic that feels both cynical and exploitative.
Call of Duty HQ – A Misguided Hub
The integration of Black Ops 6 into the Call of Duty HQ launcher is a source of considerable frustration. This clunky and confusing hub forces players to navigate through multiple titles, resulting in long load times and a fragmented user experience. The lack of standalone installations for each game is a baffling decision that prioritizes corporate synergy over player convenience, further eroding goodwill among the community.
Artificial Intelligence – Artificial Quality
The revelation that Activision employed generative AI tools in the development of Black Ops 6 raises serious concerns about the game's craftsmanship. Players have criticized this approach as lazy, leading to rushed and unpolished content. The extent of AI's role remains unclear, but its involvement appears to have contributed to the game's lack of cohesion and attention to detail, exacerbating fears about AI's impact on creative industries.
One of the most glaring issues with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is its relentless focus on monetization at the expense of actual gameplay quality. Instead of prioritizing a well-balanced and polished experience, Activision has flooded the in-game shop with an endless barrage of overpriced bundles, turning the game into a glorified storefront rather than a competitive shooter.
Every time you log in, you’re bombarded with flashy, Fortnite-style skins that feel completely out of place in the Black Ops universe. We’re talking about operators wearing neon armor, anime-inspired outfits, and ridiculous sci-fi gear that shatter any sense of immersion. It’s hard to take a game seriously when your soldier looks like they just walked out of a battle royale for kids.
On top of that, these bundles aren’t cheap. With some costing nearly as much as the base game itself, it’s clear that Activision is more interested in squeezing every last dollar out of players rather than delivering meaningful post-launch content. Even worse, some of the best cosmetics and weapon blueprints are locked behind paywalls, giving those who spend extra an undeniable advantage—making the already questionable matchmaking feel even more unfair.
And let’s not forget the absurdly aggressive marketing. The main menu constantly shoves shop offers in your face, often pushing gameplay-related options like loadouts or settings into the background. It’s a clear sign that Black Ops 6 was designed with microtransactions as the priority rather than player experience.
Conclusion
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 stands as a testament to the franchise's alarming decline, offering a fragmented and subpar experience that betrays the legacy of its predecessors. The myriad technical issues, uninspired design choices, and misguided integration strategies culminate in a product that feels more like a cash grab than a labor of love. For a series that once set the standard for first-person shooters, Black Ops 6 is a sobering reminder of how far the mighty can fall.At this point, it feels like Call of Duty is more concerned with emulating Fortnite than staying true to its roots as a grounded, military-style shooter. If the developers continue down this path, Black Ops 6 may go down as one of the most soulless entries in the franchise.
Really bad game dont recommend buying. Ranked trash, playerbase trash, sweats everywhere, always packetburst, zero sbmm(in raked you will always get people who are worse than you) everything they wanted to change basically got even worse. Taking time off would be great if they would change somthing but the seem not to care (sadly had great potential).
A pretty decent COD game completely ruined by forced AI, Monetization worse than a F2P game, bizarre fortnite like crossovers, poor maps, and worst of all SBMM
Game had it's peak at release, then season 1 came and now the game is absolutely awful. Bundles are overpriced and booty looking. The days of CoD are done, this game is awful, don't waste your money
If you are a bit skilled in this game every 2/3 weeks you get shadowbanned for at least 1 week and you cannot do anything about it.
I even contacted support and they said nothing can be done, i even asked what led to the shadow ban and they simply don't know.
Their excuse is that it is a decision of their security team and they don't have access to the motives which led to me get banned again for nothing, they keep saying i violated somethingf of Call of Duty Security & Enforcement Policy but no.
I do not have Voice chat or Text chat enabled so its not even for toxicity.
I'm Speechless and i hope BF6 releases soon
game is full of cheaters. don't waste your time and money. the creators care more about money/skins than making the game playable
Don't buy this. You won't be able to refund it if you just wanted to try it anyways, since it uses your collective hours from warzone and call of duty. This game is truly terrible and I'm never getting a cod game again.
It was good up until they brought in AI which they don't even try to hide it. AI is supposed to be a tool, for concept art and such, and then an actual artist can improve on that, not as a full blown replacement And also disrespecting Samantha Maxis' voice actor, why did they do that? What's wrong with them? Oh, right, public corporate disease, money above all else. They do realize they can make a lot by making GOOD content and making items CHEAP.
EW AI
If you are gonna use AI in your game you shouldn't be allowed to charge more than 30 bucks for your game because you are just being lazy with use of AI I haven't played in awhile because it's so shit and I hope people get to refund this trash it's not worth shit anymore
EDIT: For those who don't really get what I mean the entire review is about them selling AI slop in the shop and shit like that
Purchased hoping for something new/clever/interesting - nothing so far.
Multiplayer maps aren't random enough and you often find yourself stuck in a 2 or 3 maps cycle (always includes Nuke) for as many rounds as you can handle. Gets old quick, quick enough that you exit and go MW3 to enjoy some randomness.
The Season maps might be new but due to that short map rotation you don't necessarily get to see them for a bit. Some of the themed maps are getting smaller like Hijacked to Lifeline - next one will be a dinghy and you only get an oar each to kill each other - unless of course you buy the bundle with the nuke guaranteeing the win.
Spawn sites are broken. So your running out of your spawn with your team mates only to have the opposition spawn behind you, like so close you don't react because it couldn't be anyone other than a team mate!! Aaaaaaand now your all dead. Similar great spawn in Free-for-all where you spawn in front of a waiting enemy!! Aaaaaaand now your dead.
We all copped it on the chin that things are getting more expensive, including games which is fine if the quality and therefore enjoyment is there but I feel we're at the end of the line for this one. Might be time to try something outside of the sandbox.
Trash AI generated content, cheap ass Activision
They lied about them giving their 100% when there is clear use of AI in their game and the game has been bleeding players since the new years and not stopping. Like every game feels predetermined to just disconnect you or have network issues to screw with you. When I open a multiplayer Valve game I have network issues but not to the extreme of Black Ops 6. Like the small amount of CS I played I haven't had a point where everyone freezes in time and just disconnects everyone. This game is terrible and if your reading this just please by another game.
