This game has recruited more people into the US Armed Forces than Fed E-Girls posting tiktoks, and that is saying something. A floozy won't get countless men to leave family, lover and home to fight in some sandbox, but Captain Price, Soap MacTavish and Ghost sure as hell will. This once in a lifetime classic is so good, it will make you want to invent a time machine to go back and experience on release date over and over. You will never forget the missions, never forget the maps, never forget the fun. And to all those who made the decision to serve, God bless you and your families.

Just peak COD campaign gaming I can't lie, so many stories out there but nothing beats the OG MW series. Top tier COD game for those who wants to try it. Spent a lot of time and I mean A LOT of time finishing Spec Ops on Veteran, finished campaign on Veteran but couldn't finish it becoz I don't have a partner to finish the Spec Ops but still 10/10 game. Still holds up and better than most COD games right now.

kinda dissapointing there was only one snowmobile section because GOD THAT WAS FUN
i never really liked shooter games like these in the past, but this one? this one i really like.
i like the story telling, the characters are interesting to me, i like feeling like i'm part of something, and it's a nice way to get some anger out by just shooting at hostiles.
also ghost and soap are nice to look at, even in the older graphics
This game is so nostalgic and awesome, the multiplayer is tons of fun and the campaign is just really good. It's great for low power PCs too
this is the best game i have ever played - don't get me wrong, the graphics are a little dated but get ten minutes into the storyline and that you don't even notice. the storyline is amazing, the missions are so much fun and i bought this game one day ago, and by day 2 i already had four hours on. worth the money, amazing game, amazing characters, overall just a fantastic game if you like FPS and mission based games! SO GOOD!!!
Great game, chose it because the game is good and it works well with linux proton for compat.
Aside from a few difficulty spikes in the campaign, this is a worthy sequel to the original masterpiece. And while Spec Ops was fun for a bit, some of the challenges it offered were more frustrating than fun, but still worth checking out if you got a knack for that type of thing.
What is there to say? Probably the most fun I've ever had with a controller.

Phenomenal and timeless game, especially with mods. Even though its a pro patriarchy god bless murica one I think WW2 is the best out of them all in the franchise.
Worth it for the four missions where you fight through Washington D.C. freeing it, to include the White House, from Russian invaders.
Also a bunch of missions where you go around the world engaging in some B-tier Tom Clancy plot as special forces or something. That's not why I'm here but they're pretty standard CoD campaign missions and, while pretty cheesy, aren't exactly bad.
Played this game since my childhood, really enjoyed the multiplayer for 1v1 splitscreen matches and had some fun on online TDM, I enjoy a good list of weapons in the game and I also enjoy the special ops mode as well, had a lot of fun playing that as a kid too with a mate. Pretty sad that most the time you can't really get a normal lobby for online like you use to years ago, but still the game is great with private lobbies and local sessions. Highly should get if you have a good friend group on PC and would recommend for xbox 360 if you have a group of friends for that console
The campaign is really good with being one of the best stories every made by infinity Ward and Activision.

The nostalgia that comes with this campaign alone is incredible, The characters being the exact same as they were back in 2009 is an amazing trip down memory lane - The soundtrack is just as good as it was back in the day - The Special Ops is untouchable and is equally as enjoyable and challenging as it was when trying it for the first time. One warning, be prepared to here the name Ramirez 523468945721893 times.

good game i 100%ed it on verteran and it was a good game back in the day and a good game to this day. they dialed back the grenade spam on veteran that was in the old games which is great, nothing negative to say.

Great COD game, highly recommend! Story line is very good as with most COD games from around this time period, so I've heard.
It's worth it to definitely either revisit or try it for the first time. especially considering how most modern CoD games today are a spit to the face to the fanbase.
Im not critizicing the game here, im critizicing the state of the multiplayer and the shitty company thats to blame for it, how can you sell this game in the state it is right now? but well it's not like you care, right?

Having only come for the campaign, the original MW trilogy has truly blown me away, the campaign is highly replayable and fun, every segment is constructed with great specatcle and engaging gameplay.
It's Probably one of the best call of duty games out there, the multiplayer is kinda dead, but you can still get into lobbies. the Campaign and Spec Ops are worth the purchase of their own, so if i were you, get it on sale

Graphics are nice, The Campaign is good, Storyline is good. Multiplayer is kewl. Pretty good game.
It's a good sequel to CoD 4, it has a great campaign, good new weapons, and just does everything better then CoD 4 did, multiplayer's also fun but if your a person that doesnt wanna take risks then i'd search for a secure thing for MW2 before joining that, overall, 10/10 game.
yeah certified slapper like the 2002 film 2 fast 2 furious. I first got this game in 2009 when I was just a jit. But you know what, as a big jit, i must say. i really must.

Its a very fun game with a 10/10 storyline, and a 9.5/10 gameplay. Honestly, the developers of this game really cooked and put there blood, sweat and tears when making this game. Compared to the newer call of duty games, this is a really good game
Peak of the series, everything released after this and Black Ops is a sad spiral towards shameless corporate moneygrubbing.

It's bad that I look at this game longingly, remembering the year 2009. I was a senior in highschool less than 6 months before I shipped off to basic training. This game (IMHO) is the best Call of Duty that has come out to date. Had so much fun with this game, and so much fun in that time period. The whole game brings me back to my less complicated days.
Where to begin? well, the plot, with twists and all, is brilliant and enjoyable. I found myself shocked and surprised at what i thought were the key moments to be shocked and surprised, which was a definite plus.
I also enjoyed the idea of a different attachment with each weapon and had fun playing around with this for hours on end! What i was stunned by were the graphics. A great improvement from a great previous game! I couldn't believe what i was seeing half the time! Multiplayer is excellent, with more incentive to play and try out different mixes of equipment in each match.
i think it is a a really good game all in all. but the game does not go on for that long it took me 2 days to finish it but it is a really good game and i think you should give it a shot
Story is super intresting and game is challenging but not to challenging. They dont make them like they used to
on steam i only have a very misserable amount of hours on this game. but on the ps3 inside my closet its comparable to conceiving 4 children.
There are few games I wish I could go back in time to experience for the first time again. This is one of them.
In my eyes, this is the peak of the entire series. MW2 basically looked at MW1 and thought "Hmmm, I want to be like you, but I also want to be an over the top action blockbuster". And even to this day, that approach works so damn well. The non-stop action setpieces just feel epic, despite the aged graphics. And while I prefer this game over MW1, I will still tell you to play MW1 before you even consider buying this since the stories are directly linked. Without knowing the events of MW1 the motivations of the antagonist will remain completely unexplained. I also couldnt figure out a way to change the language from german to english, but the action on screen will overshadow all the mediocre voice acting in your ears. Oh, and just like MW1, this game is quite short, so maybe dont pay 20 euros for it.
Infinity Ward has added a few new features to the gameplay, perhaps the most ingenious of which is the raid option. This means that in several levels, building or room entrances appear from time to time, through which we can raid our enemies. In this case, we simply place the explosive charge on the door, and after the detonation, a short time slowdown occurs, during which we have the opportunity to neutralize the individuals in the room. Of course, as in many sequels, this time too, there are a lot of new weapons in the game. The real treat, however, is the appearance of accessories that can be attached to the new weapons, most of which are just new types of sights, but there are also two more special pieces. One of these is the motion sensor, which is a weapon known from the movie Aliens, with which we can pinpoint quite precisely where our enemies are. The other is a thermal imaging sight, which finally makes sense for using smoke grenades, as it will help us see through fog clouds and get a sharp image of any lifeform that strays into the barrel of our weapon. In the middle of the game's campaign, we get one of the most interesting weapons, which is not really a weapon, but a huge bulletproof shield, behind which we will be almost completely protected from the bullets raining down on us. Of course, it does not protect much against grenades and other explosives, and we cannot use any weapons if we hold it in our hands, but the creators have clearly put a lot of emphasis on it, and we will really benefit from this extra in the multiplayer mode.
Graphics and sounds
If I were to be strict, I would say that the graphics of the game have not changed much since the previous part, but this would only be partially true. First of all, the previous part looked amazing. CoD4 lacked most of the special shader effects, or at least it didn't want to look like anything more than a good FPS should. The goal was to have a consistently high framerate so that the game wouldn't freeze for a moment. This goal was more or less what the creators had in mind when making Modern Warfare 2. The game looks incredibly good, even though not much has changed compared to the previous part, apart from the new player models, their movements and the more detailed levels. But even this small change adds a lot to the gaming experience, as the many more equipment items and the expanded movement culture of the soldiers present an almost perfect visual world before our eyes. The latter – the movement of the characters – is the most shocking of all the changes, as the characters behave in every corner, with every step and movement, as we would expect them to do in real life. We have a similar opinion about the sound effects, which would have been very difficult to offer us more than the maximum we experienced in the previous part. The sounds this time also try to support the visuals in the most ideal way possible, so much so that sometimes we feel that we are not even watching a game, but a big-budget action movie. The raining bullets, the explosions, the soldiers' lyrics all contribute a lot to this. In addition, the creators managed to enlist an Oscar-winning composer for the game, none other than Hans Zimmer. His name is associated with melodies from films such as The Rock, Gladiator or The Dark Knight, and this time he also adds an amazing musical background to the already great atmosphere of the game. 10/8,5

What is there to say that hasn't already been said?
Take everything that made COD 4 great and multiply it by two. That seems crazy because COD 4 already seemed like an FPS miracle, but that really is just how good of a sequel this game is. The only problem Modern Warfare 2 suffers from is that it isn't longer.
Excellent game. One of the toppest games, though low on the replay value. High-octane roller coaster plot, fun set pieces, like a playable movie with great gunplay and 10/10 Hans Zimmer soundtrack. Still the most polished game Activision's ever made.
