single player campaign is surprisingly good, fun mechanics, cool maps. similar vibe as titanfall 2 though the story doesnt quite reach the same heights.
overall, it's worth playing if you enjoy futuristic fps with interesting traversal mechanics.
cant comment on multiplayer as i have not tried it
this game got absolutely fucked over when it was revealed; genuinely one of the greatest COD games of all time, even if the multiplayer is a more restrictive black ops 3 and the zombies maps fall off after shaolin shuffle
One of the best, if not, the best, campaign I've ever played; not just for call of duty but for any game. multiplayer is okay. zombies has a dedicated fan base but Black ops one is more my style.
Multiplayer and Zombies are filled with Hackers and Malware
What a great single player game, was not expecting this from a COD game! Story was really good, lots of emotional ties, actual game play is great too!
Never played multiplayer but wish they could have spent more time on single, this really could have been an epic RPG if they really wanted.
Absolutely one of the best military campaigns out there. This game has incredibly lovable characters and great bonds between them. By the end of the game you will already be wishing to play through it one last time to feel the commendatory and friendship formed through steel and a common agenda. Which is to save the world from those who wish to destroy it all.... If you are looking for your next hard hitting single player experience, choose this one. HOORAH
If youre looking for a good zombie mode then i would say that IW zombies is on of the best ever made. The only thing that bothers me is that you have to buy the DLC maps as a whole pack its not really that expensive but still 50 Euros are 50 Euros. But the Campagne is really good aswell so if youre looking for story wise then this one isnt the best Campagne form all COD but its quiet good. The Multiplayer mode is in my opinion bad i dont really play Multiplayer modes in COD so you have to decide for yourself.
The big scenes in the plot are shocking, and as a sci-fi fan, I love them.
they gave me a broken copy of the game can't even play the game i gat stoke at the loading screen
MP's dead as a doornail, but there's lots of dumb fun to be had in the campaign. Get it on sale or physical, the asking price is still way too high.
The zombies for this is way too fun. However, it is annoying that you need to buy an extremely expensive game and then the expensive season pass. Even on sale it's not that cheap considering how old the game is now
This games so good only downside is it no longer works for me anymore recently. The game used to open fine and had 0 problems but now no longer lets me load onto an actual game of zombies and i cant change the settings on the game without the application completely crashing everytime. I've tryed loads of things but nothing seems to work so i guess ill have to wait until the game actually gets fixed.
- DONT BUY THIS GAME until this problem is fixed!
Hot take: rivals bo3 zombies
ps. Beast from beyond doesnt exist as it instantly invalidates this opinion anyone caught mentioning beast from beyond is to be wiped from reality immediately
it is very skibidi and has aura and rizz too would recommend
i have only played the story not too bad of a story if its on easy. I paid for it on steam an i got iw7_ship downloaded from steam i am having such a big issue with playing with zombies it will load the into for every dlc map but wont load the game. an muti-player will just keep loading till it crash. the first time i downloaded it the story worked until I shut it off or close it out but when I do it wont work at all after that cant play story the bar only loads up 98% the intro works but fails to load the game or maps. kinda a waste of money might be my last cod pc buy
This is genuinely one of the best zombies experiences ever created. I've owned the game on PS4 since it came out in 2016, and I've loved every second of it. The community wanted zombies to innovate, and Infinity Ward did exactly that. It was fun and wacky, which served as a good break from the serious and gritty Aether storyline in the Black Ops games. That doesn't mean some of Infinite Warfare's criticism was without merit, as its multiplayer was among the worst I have ever played. Its campaign wasn't that bad, but it wasn't the best, either. All around, I think this game was a solid entry into the Call of Duty franchise.
Insane that you are charging 60 bucks for this still. It won't even play! LOL. I do love this game, but it is unplayable now. Something about a recent Windows update, folks are saying. Meh. Whatever.
Annoying characters, but at least they all die
The Hell that Was *Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
I had always been a fan of *Call of Duty*. The franchise had been a staple of my gaming experience for years—fast-paced, exhilarating, and filled with moments of glory. But *Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare*… well, that game turned what should have been a fun diversion into a relentless nightmare. What started as an innocent attempt to dive into the next big shooter quickly turned into an emotional warzone. It wasn’t just frustrating; it was traumatic. I’ve got a story to tell, one of pain, regret, and a lingering sense of hopelessness. If you’re reading this and thinking about firing up *Infinite Warfare*, let me save you the trouble: don’t.
It all began with the promise of something new—futuristic warfare, space battles, and the kind of high-tech action that *CoD* was known for. I was curious. I had seen the trailers, and I thought to myself, “Okay, this looks like fun. I’ve got some time to kill. Let’s do this.” I had no idea that this game would bury my love for the *Call of Duty* series once and for all.
The first few hours were… tolerable. I was going through the campaign, shooting bad guys, blowing up stuff—typical *CoD* fare, right? But there was something off. The story was an absolute disaster. I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to turn *Call of Duty* into a sci-fi epic with convoluted plotlines about space stations, planetary invasions, and villains who were about as one-dimensional as cardboard cutouts, but they completely missed the mark. The dialogue was cringeworthy, and the characters felt like they belonged in a B-grade space flick. I mean, come on—Captain Nick Reyes, the most uninspired protagonist in *CoD* history? I couldn’t care less about his mission, his struggles, or his fate. All I wanted was to shoot something, but the game just wouldn’t let me enjoy it. Every cutscene felt like a chore.
I tried to ignore the campaign's shortcomings and focus on what I hoped would be the redeeming aspect of the game: the multiplayer. I thought, "Okay, maybe the battle royale-style mode, the fast-paced shooting, and the new futuristic weapons would be the fun part." Big mistake. The multiplayer is where *Infinite Warfare* really began to twist the knife. I had played *Call of Duty* online before, but *Infinite Warfare* took everything that was familiar and turned it into an unholy mess of chaos.
The first thing that hit me like a freight train was the constant, soul-crushing lag. I’ve played my fair share of online games, so I know that lag happens sometimes, but this was ridiculous. I would be running around the map, thinking I was safe, only for a guy to teleport behind me and kill me with a shotgun before I even saw him. The game felt like it was actively punishing me for simply existing. It was like every corner I turned, some invisible enemy was just waiting to ruin my day. The spawn system? Don’t even get me started. It was like the game had a vendetta against me, spawning enemies right behind me or on top of me in the most unfair and frustrating way possible.
At this point, I should have stopped. But I didn’t. Because like so many other *Call of Duty* addicts, I thought it would get better. I thought, *maybe if I just play a little longer*, the game would finally click, and I’d start enjoying myself. Spoiler alert: it didn’t. It just got worse.
The weapons in *Infinite Warfare* were a joke. The futuristic guns were meant to bring some new flavor to the *CoD* formula, but instead, they felt like gimmicks. The reload animations were way too flashy and distracting, and the sound design made it sound like I was shooting a toy gun. Don’t even get me started on the melee attacks. Every time I tried to stab someone with the ridiculously over-the-top "combat knife," I would end up stabbing thin air while my enemy, equipped with the most absurdly overpowered guns, would annihilate me in seconds.
And then there was the dreaded *wall-running*. Oh my god, the wall-running. I get that they were trying to go for this “futuristic parkour” style of gameplay, but it was an absolute nightmare. Every match felt like a game of cat and mouse where the enemy was zipping around on walls, while I, poor and grounded, was left to fumble and stumble. The map design didn’t help, either. Everything was a vertical nightmare—floors, ceilings, and walls were all fair game for the players, making it impossible to know where the enemies would be coming from next. I spent more time staring at the walls than the actual combat, just trying to figure out how to *get* to the fight. It felt more like an acrobatics class than a shooter.
At this point, the rage started to set in. I was dying in ways I shouldn’t have. I was getting shot by invisible enemies, losing gunfights I should’ve won, and the worst part? My team was terrible. I’m not even talking about the usual “my teammates don’t know what they’re doing” complaint. I’m talking about a full-on *toxic* wasteland of randoms who would just sit in spawn, camping, or afk the whole match. The game’s matchmaking seemed to actively *encourage* this behavior. I swear, every time I played, it felt like I was being punished for being competent. The best players always got stuck with the worst teams, while the noobs just coasted by, picking up kills without ever trying. It was like being trapped in a prison where everyone around you was either actively sabotaging you or too clueless to even be a threat.
But it didn’t end there. The absolute worst moment of my *Infinite Warfare* experience came during a game of *Sabotage*, the mode where you have to plant a bomb in the enemy base. I had my sights set on the win. The enemy was down to their last few players, and my team was *finally* doing something right. I was on fire—making perfect shots, clearing the enemy's defenses, and getting ready to plant the bomb when the most infuriating thing happened. A player on my team who had been doing nothing all match suddenly ran into the room, grabbed the bomb, and ran into the open, where he was immediately mowed down by enemy fire. In the span of seconds, our entire plan crumbled. I watched in horror as our chances of winning evaporated, and I felt my blood pressure skyrocket. What made it worse was that the other players, who had been just as clueless, all quit immediately. I was left alone with a half-empty team, the match lost, and a rage that I couldn’t escape.
After that game, I couldn’t take it anymore. I had already put in hours of my life—hours that I’d never get back—into a game that had given me nothing but frustration, disappointment, and a growing sense of helplessness. *Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare* wasn’t just a bad game; it was a *traumatic* experience. Every time I think about it, I remember that hopeless feeling of being stuck in an endless loop of bad matches, terrible players, and a system that actively worked against me. I started to experience a genuine sense of anxiety when I thought about logging into the game. Even the sound of gunfire from *Infinite Warfare* became a trigger, sending a chill down my spine.
Now, months later, I can’t even look at a *Call of Duty* game without remembering the nightmare that was *Infinite Warfare*. It wasn’t just a game that frustrated me—it broke me. I’ve got a kind of PTSD from it. Every time I hear the *thwap* of a futuristic rifle, or the sound of a grenade exploding, it brings back that suffocating, all-consuming rage. I’m done. *Infinite Warfare* isn’t just a bad game; it’s a reminder of how a game can take everything you love about a franchise and turn it into a soul-crushing, psychological minefield. If you’re thinking about playing it, I’ll give you one piece of advice: **don’t.** Save yourself the pain.
Worked fine until new PC with Windows 11. Broke firewall and Antivirus. Ripped registry. Nothing worked. Stuck with a paper wait. Not the first time. When I went to Win 10 and was told backwards compatible, was only able to get most of apps up and running with system breaking.
So underrated. Been saying it for years, this game was only hated so much because of the time it came out. Spaceland is a top 5 zombies map, the multiplayer is almost identical to BO3. Worth getting if on sale.
campaign is actually surprisingly good
multiplayer is not
The multiplayer is dead. You must remove the "Dominion" achievement!
Truly, the final good zombiez. oh whats happened to you CoD...
This game has had a lot of hate and most of the people who say that are people who have not even tried the zombies because zombies ranks this game up more in the call of duty community so just try the zombies because this is one of my top 5.
This game wasn't given the benefit of the doubt when it came out, but has shined over time. Beautifully constructed zombies mode and interesting multiplayer maps. I cannot speak to the campaign, but I've seen gameplay: it seems to have the same level of passion and care put into it as the rest of the game.
Even better than titanfall 2 in some ways
ImageFile##.pak ERROR
Get used to seeing this error and the game crashing for no reason, 8 years or so after release.
What. a. disgrace.
Bought just for the zombies mode, exciting and different space theme, complex yet fun
game randomly out of no where likes to crash even though nothing has changed in my pc
Earthlings vs Martans. Who will win? You decide...
EPIC.... RAP BATTLES OF HISTORY . . . . .
Awesome COD The Story Is Really Great The Space War Is Next Level
zombies is amazing and the campaign is great
I only played the campaign and honestly this is surprisingly good. Sure, at the beginning I was quite clueless about what was going on but later it gets more interesting and fun in a way. Some of the mission area and missions in general are repetitive, also I feel like the devs didn't capitalize on the enemy officer or mission system, but overall it was an okay campaign. The game looks really nice, has some good enough movements and gears to use. Soundtrack is also decent.
However, for the single player alone this game isn't worth 60€, and since the multiplayer can be sketchy to play, I would recommend it for around 15€ or so.
Literally tried to fix this game for 3 hours with no luck. It gets stuck at the loading screen and there are no fixes for it. Until they fix it, this game is completely unplayable.
Fun game. Definitely did not feel like a COD game. But it's still fire.
The only bad thing is the multiplayer, the campaign is god-tier, the zombies is fine.
zombies is 10/10, rest of the game is meh. you have to spend $100 to be able to play the FIVE maps in zombies.
recommend but only when it's on sale
dead game but better than latest cod
Game has gotten backlash but I recommend it.
Just finished game! Loved every sec of it. Music was on point, characters by far the best characters in COD game, graphics were truly amazing and how over 7 years can really hold its value for this game, and the gameplay was awesome! Totally forgot how this game was super impactful and I am glad that I played it again. Definitely worth it!
I got to a certain part in campain and now I am permanently stuck there because of an overpowered robot
one of my favorite zombie games, treated too harshly by the community and never continued. it had potential and it had heart, something most of the modern call of duty games seem to be lacking entirely. unless black ops 6 rocks this will still probably be my favorite game for the zombies.
Most underrated COD, easly top 3
Campain: Characters are crazy well written
Multiplayer: Tho it goes out of the COD ordinary its one of the most fun to play
Zombies: Easly the best part, in my opinion as good as bo3 and also has best boss fights
Zombies in spaceland goated. Buy on sale.
i bought this game on sale for the campaign and can recommend it! it works good on amd ryzen 5 5500u...
The performance in this game sucks. You will find nothing but crashes or stutters. Even when running well it still is capped at 90 fps for no reason
there needs to be a skip credit button. the credits are irritatingly long and u cant skip them. i wanted to go do secondary missions that i didnt do before i beat the game, but im not going to wait thru that long ass credit scene, and im not gonna make a new save. this is just stupid on ur end.
The campaign was something I truly loved when I first acquired this game on my PS4 because I love and I mean LOVE futuristic fps games—especially singleplayer—like my life depends on it. You might find this surprising, but the ending—without spoiling it—had me in stitches, building my expectations only to have them entirely shattered. Most of the characters' deaths affected me negatively, because I had formed bonds with them. I think it's reasonable to say that because I'm an emotional and sensitive person, the campaign brought me to tears. AND THEN THE ZOMBIES. While we were both largely clueless about what to do other than survive, I enjoyed playing it with my younger brother. We just used split screen and enjoyed the game. I'm grateful for the memories I made thanks to this game. I obviously think it's great and wish they would make IW2 eventually. THUMBS UP.
Campaign is a straight 20/10, Zombies is a very underrated masterpiece and MP used to be super fun, sadly the game is dead now, but still worth only for SP and ZM.
