cheap nostalgia
A great NFSU clone with a twist: you're in a harem isekai and there are cops trying to bust you.
This game features bomb*ss radio, atrocious handling, and 18 girlfriends, do what you will with that information
Need for speed underground but with gooning aspects. what more could you possibly want? 10/10
Licenses be damned, this game's still being sold!? For less than a dollar sometimes!?
Discount need for speed but with provocative women everywhere.
çıktığı zamanlarda oynadığım en en aklımda kalan oyunlardan birisidir.
Great game if you like wager racing and pink slips. Not only that its rare, you can only get it on steam.
it really feels like i am fast and furious. gaudy cars and racing to win girlfriends. doesn't get more classic than that.
Have you ever played those arcade Asian racing game on like some mall back then? Well the vibe of this game feels like that, for a couple of cents (on discount week) you can enjoy a decent working game (with some 3rd party modification, so you can play on native resolution and improved graphical settings).
Thou I have to warn you that it is still a 2005 game and it lacks major QoL update, it has quirky menu and UI (like most PS2 games).
Need for speed underground 2's hot and slow step sister
It's not bad game just repetitive
i first played this game as a kid back in 2005 on the original xbox, absolute classic along side midnight club 2 and nfs underground 2. very good game and def worth picking it up for just $0.59 cents!
good
this is a " mixed " review as I really enjoyed it back in the day on console however the PC version is very " buggy " as I tried it on my windows 11 handhelds and couldn't run it and ran " decent " on my windows 10 laptop but with controller the cars were very " floaty " when turning .
If this was a free game would be different but it does show it's age and can't even put it in 1080P
This game beings back good memories. I truly recommend playing this timeless classic arcade racing game. :)
this may be peak gaming.
Played on the steam deck. Just have to enable controller in game settings and customize button input. The game is awesome, great driving and racing open world, looks great, sound track is great. Worth giving it a go if your into street racing games you will love it.
This game has held its value as an arcade racer better than 75% of the cars it features have held in resale value.

👍
quite fun for early to mid 2000s racing game. Some of the themes are definitely "of the time", but still lovable and fun to muck around in at the same time. 10/10 ign
This Game is awesome. And I'll recommend this game for sure.
However it's better to use the Debian or Ubuntu. In my case I used the Debian.
There are the graphics works better. And the game goes without a glitches in graphics.
Because, I used on Zorin OS unfortunatelly the graphics has worked badly, and with glitches.
The Debian has shownyourself in a good way, and the graphics has worked simply cool.
This game was originally on the first gen Xbox, it's a hidden gem for JDM car enthusiasts. To this day I still prefer playing SRS over Forza Horizon 4.
The physics are quite detailed for an arcade game, each car behaves differently. For example, the Mazda RX-7 has insane braking and handling, but it is rear-wheel drive and can spin out if you aren't careful. Cosmetic upgrades such as spoilers aren't purely cosmetic, they have a noticeable affect on handling. Damaging your car past a certain threshold affects your car's engine so you have to pay to repair it. Cop chases are not as crazy as Most Wanted, but they're still fun.
The progression is a lot more old-school in the sense that you start with a slow car and then upgrade over time. Winning races grants you respect which opens the doors to harder races and faster cars from the dealership.
JDM Cars, Street racing, and Softcore porn
10/10 Nothing more does a man needs in life
good game
that 2000's car lovers game
I've seen complaints of the driving mechanics.. but at the end of the day .. 20 years later this is still a fantastic game and anyone who has issues with the driving mechanics is also dealing with a skill issue. I grew up playing it and for 60 cents i couldn't pass it up. needless to say I was NOT disappointed. I played for 6 hours straight the first time i played it again
Best arcade game ever. Simple. Fast. Playfully.
Pure nostalgia. I bought it because I miss when need for speed wasn't the only underground street racing game. It brings back a lot of memories.
a forever classic for the OGs
Hell yeah!
A favorite childhood game, it's a pity that the game crashes when creating a profile. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know in the comments.
More booba than Gawr Gura!
This game feels like a time capsule.
When I started it up, it would go to a black screen, but I could still hear sound. After I installed the Widescreen mod, I could play properly.
It's very cool, you can crash into people without dying 10/10 would crash again :D
I remember renting this from Hollywood Videos with my dad in 2004 for the Xbox.
Pros: This game has aged nicely. A classic street racing game of the 2000s.
Cons: The game hub like world may put people off!
its cute. sadly its poorly polished and some stuff are pooly implemented. one day we will get a proper racing dating game
my childhood game <3
Its essential unless you dont want to be the bad boy thats loved by all the naughty girls. Catch them all, tiger!
if you want a racing game that's very similar to Need for Speed then this is for you. but other than that it's an amazing racing game. I for one love it.
street racing cyanide is a much better title
When real hot female models stripteasing in games was legal!
I think I still have CD of this game around somewhere, used to play daily since 2004.

Girls are hot, car handling phisics are shit, aesthetic customization is cringe, oh man the early 2000's were awesome.
[Short]
The controversial attractive lads aside (can be ignored if you wish), SRS ain't half bad, to be honest. Despite a lack of sense of true speed because the map is mostly linear, FOV is kinda low and doesn't offers many long straights, SRS can still be fun with how mostly different each car handles. But SRS needs more quality (Cops are pointless, for example).
If you enjoyed some 2000s Eutechnyx games before like Ford vs Chevy and Ford Mustang: The Legend Lives, you'll also enjoy this. Underground? 50/50 chances...
3/5 - Better and complete Arcade, customization and sense of speed, and fix cops and tuning quirkiness...
[Long]
You CAN ignore the lads if it embarrass you (kinda). It is possible to play in front of someone (kinda).
Yes, this has attractive womens. Yes, that's its main gimmick (mostly). It also includes many of them in the main menu, bonus videos of them dancing in various outfits, pretty anime womans pant jobs and the ability to "hook up" 18 girlfriends (necessary to 100% the game, but aren't "in your face" and is MOSTLY safe).
But, while it may raise an eyebrown when someone is passing while ignoring, it also isn't in your face that much.
Now that that's out of the way...
I must say: SRS, pr Street Racing Syndicate, ain't half bad! I noticed some negative reviews are playing the game wrong... (And can't blame them)
So there's +10 cars not counting generations and variants (maybe around 40 with) that handles... different.
And that's what I like about SRS: some of them understeer and needs to release the gas or use e-brake to turn, overspins a lot and needs delicate handling, almost don't turn but is linear to drive, "Namco quality of racing", "NFS:U quality of handling", etc. It's almost like I'm playing a different game while the driving is semi-dynamic, it's very cool!
But you may mess up on choosing the wrong car (not fun), and tuning...
Oh yeah, the tuning: another thing I like is, unlike other games as NFS:U, in SRS it has some different upgrades for some parts. For example tires. There's grip and drift tires that can impact the way your car performs, or how some can lower the HP of your car, making it easy to control.
The problem? Well, good luck finding which part is actually correct and what it's benefits because it won't tell you. I wouldn't be surprised if the negative reviewers choose the wrong parts that makes your car have a oversteer and overspin problem...
Apart from that, some cars have a max speed tunning limit. Some is endless. Some can only gain +30 MPH extra speed. Some +10... And some nothing! That's an interesting balance... but even on a starter car??? It sounded too flashy but there was no thoughts... (tho people wasn't obsessed on balancing stuffs before compared to today, just making a game fun and interesting)
Customization has a lot to be desire. 1 widebody kits for most cars, some spoilers, rims, paint jobs, car paints, stickers brand a la NFS:U, a neon... And that's it. (Also, when adding Lightweight Tune 3, your car's hood will ALWAYS be black and cannot be changed unless you don't choose it...)
Stickers can only be obtained when you purchase a brand tunning. If you want a specific brand but it's not recommended for your vehicle's performance then too bad!
There's 3 locations (well 5): an open... zone? To explore (L.A.) and 2 (+2 areas for L.A.) that can't be explored and is used for races only.
For the most part, the game doesn't offer much unique roads, often being linear, short, same-y corners, etc. Speed vehicles is almost useless...
Some in-screen needs improvements; FOV is low and the blur when speeding makes it so you can't see well (can be turned off).
There's cops... That may or not appear after a race... And with slow cars they're hard to escape (they can U-turn like they're cheating...), and with fast cars they're a joke...
The game is also... repetitive. If I can't quit or do something else for the most part, that's a problem. There's 3 races tournaments for the most part, challenges to conquer the womans heart and 1-on-1 races that's kinda broken and easy to not get why... And a cruise mode that lets the game play for itself (yipeee...).
There's also Arcade mode that for some reason only offers 21 races??? (11 in time trails) Where's the rest?
Another tournament mode more longer then the main mode, few checkpoints and time trail. You can also play 2-Players split-screens (hallelujah, PC games!!!), Online (bet it's down) and a LAN mode that crashes...
All of this sounds like it sucks but no, far from it. The game has its moments and you'll see (especially if you like womans).
If you enjoyed some 2000s Eutechnyx games before like Ford vs Chevy and Ford Mustang: The Legend Lives, you'll also enjoy this. Underground? 50/50 chances...
3/5 - Better and complete Arcade, customization and sense of speed, and fix cops and tuning quirkiness...
can't go wrong with a game for 58p.
better than nfsug2
