I loved the developer Two Tribes, they have been one of my favs for years, I have all of their games, on all platforms. It was truly heartbreaking when they announced that Rive was going to be their final release. Especially when we look at the state of game development today, where today's game seem soulless, they have no heart. When you play a game released by older developers like Two Tribes, and then play something released in the modern age, you immediately can feel that something is missing. It is a real shame that gaming has become what it has.
Great game, up until the bugs that force a reset or stop you cold from progressing.
difficulty level makes this game unplayable...
Very fun game! Loved it. Finished it in a day, about 7 hours. Really tight controls. Great set pieces! Cool bosses. Cool effects (explosions, blasters etc). Running smoothly. Story was engaging enough. Great variety in the level design and gameplay - sometimes the game switches the genre a little bit, but always keeping to the same controls.
I could have done without the 4th wall breaking and the couple pop culture references. But it didn't annoy me. Also the upgrade system is very basic. But it's a short game so it fits.
All and all: I totally recommend this game. I didn't expect much, so I was very pleasantly suprised and was engaged and really had fun for 7 hours with it.
Definitely my least favorite Two Tribes games. Much prefer their puzzle games.

I love the game. I just don't like the button layout. Using an XBox Controller I want to use the A button for jump at least. I'm not playing the game for that reason.
Too punishing in certain areas on normal difficulty makes this game a hard pass for me.
Frustrating game.
The single-credit mode made me bitter and hateful (also Challenge 11). I hate this game.
This game has potential on the gameplay, sound effect and arcade graphic but unfortunately it freezes 2x in less than 1 hour gameplay. Everytime I restart after the freeze, the checkpoint is gone so I need to restart the entire mission again.
Game was really fun, the constant deaths during the end of mission 3 were a little annoying but the real problem was that the teleporter receiver at the beginning of mission 4 just... Didn't work? The door ahead was blocked so I assume I have to activate the teleporter before continuing, but when I press enter (the button showed, and the button that worked for every other teleporter/interactable item before) just made the player move to one of the sides of the teleporter. Other than that I don't think the game did great at hooking the "average gamer" in at the beginning but it is really fun to just be able to blow shit up lol
