Well, bullet hell, frustrating, compulsive, story non-existent, unnerving tricks like enemies firing at you off screen, the jokes wear out quickly if you are over 15. I seriously need to better consider what I buy when on sale

Quick Review
Broforce is a rouge-like, side-scroller shooter game in the likes of Contra.
It has a nice looking pixel art style and the campy theme of movie heroes as "Bros" is amusing. Audio and music are fine.
Gameplay is... not for everyone. While it starts off somewhat fair and balanced, by the mid-game it devolves into bullet/explosion hell and all you do is die all the time. For American movie hero Bros, it's kind of silly that they die from literally everything in one hit while enemies, of course, take multiple shots to kill. Great gameplay balance /s
Also, the Bros you get in most missions are randomized and some are definitely way more useful than others.
It's a cute concept but it's plagued by improperly balanced gameplay and a lack of explanation for what they expect you to do in some missions. This will only appeal to the only most diehard, rouge-like fans. Casual fans, be prepared for hours of frustration.
That said, I can tell it's well-made and has a certain amusing appeal so it barely squeaks by with a recommend.

The game is easy and fun at the same time. Recommended to play with friends, will definitely get six packs.
I could not play this for more than 10 minutes
This game feels like a gimmick without any work done around the initial obnoxious idea and blunt « references » which are just bland cameos.
I like satire but this is supposed to be a game too. The funny is already drained out after watching the animated trailer and the game does not go beyond that.
Not worth more than a few bucks, not worth more than a couple of minutes of your time except if you want to zoom around blasting stuff with a friend while waiting for the pizza to arrive. And even in this case I’d recommend going out for a stroll to get the pizza and be silly on the way instead of playing this.
My Love, BroForce – A Romance for the Ages
BroForce, you changed me. You changed me in ways that no other game could. The sheer testosterone coursing through my veins right now? It's like Rambro but with more explosions. I’m talking about the kind of manliness that makes you feel like your muscles are flexing even when you’re sitting down. You, BroForce, have given me abs I didn’t know I had.
Every character is so BRO-tastic that I’ve honestly considered legally changing my name to Bro-some McBro. I have never felt more like a TRUE AMERICAN HERO than when I’m mowing down terrorists and saving my bros one explosion at a time. The sheer amount of Bros and the differences and the details in each bro is astionishing. I even asked President Trump to make BroForce a real thing and, yes, to induct me as an official member. Bro... I'm ready to serve.
The jokes? Don’t even get me started. The comedy is so on point that I almost forgot I was destroying an entire city block with a grenade launcher. The randomness of this broventure means I’m always on my toes, waiting for the next plot twist that’ll send me flying into a blaze of glory.
Pros:
Buff men – These dudes aren’t just tough, they’re flexing with the power of a thousand suns.
America – This game is so American, it makes bald eagles cry.
Anti-Terrorist – There’s no such thing as overkill when it comes to fighting for freedom.
Masculinity – I feel more manly after every explosion. A true masterpiece.
BroForce – The greatest force to ever walk the earth.
Bros – There’s nothing stronger than the bond of bros. Except maybe grenades.
Guns – Did I mention the guns? More guns than your local arsenal.
Explosions – If it doesn’t explode, are you even playing BroForce?

I was looking for a game like Contra to just have fun shooting nonstop, and this was beyond perfect.
I love how dynamic the game is, I've spent 5 hours so far but I feel like it's been just a while.
The tone is perfect, reminds me a lot of Team America World police by the South Park guys.
I'm looking forward to trying this one out with my girlfriend on Co-op this weekend.

And I love every second of it. Fueled by gunpowder, nostalgia, sweat and gains, it's hard not to fall in love with this game. If you ever saw an explosion and went "Hell Yeah" this game is for you. We are all Bros bro!
Whenever I need to grow my beard back, I just play this game for an hour. Would recommend.
A great game filled with some thrills, laughs and surprising difficulty. Perfect for a session of couch co-op or remote play. It's on sale regularly for $2.99 and I absolutely recommend picking it up at that price.

Fast and tons of fun! Sometimes you just need to drop into some testosterone fuelled stupidity.
It's unplayable with three people, you have to be very careful not to destroy the map and kill each other.
Peak (completed on xbox) but there needs to be crossplay for xbox and steam

I wish they'd added specific levels or a way to play with a specific bro, because for a game with like 3 buttons, there's a shocking amount of cool techs, tricks and things to learn about each of the bros. And there's like 50 bros.
This game is a blast to play multiplayer co-op and just see everything on screen exploding. A lot of my mileage from this game though is from playing arcade/campaign solo and tactically advancing and skirmishing my way through every level, and it's shocking how well the game works in both approaches.

I played this with my sister, and we had so much fun. It’s easily one of my favorite games ever. The simple rules make it super easy to jump in, the humor was great, and the destructible environments are fantastic. The number of playable characters is insane - we both had our favorites, and switching between them kept the gameplay fresh.

This game was awesome!! I haven't played a 2d platform shooter like it! Me and my dad just finished the campaign and absolutely loved this game, the kind of game where you can just blow anything and everything up. I would so recommend this for other people, especially since you can play this with FOUR people, and online and versus! Also the storyline is hilarious and amazing. I am totally telling all my friends to get this!

Quick, fun, exciting, arcade feel. fun and amazing in co-op. to turn off camera shake, change it to 0%, then press escape immediately/last setting you will change. if you go back into the options menu you have to do this again.

Good story and good time with friends
This game is ridiculously fun, don't hesitate - buy it.
Decent if you want to play singleplayer, but recently i had horrible experiences playing co-op. First of all, I had desync issues, enemies that are dead yet show up as being alive walking in place, but more importantly I tried playing with a friend that was playing on mouse and keyboard and yet the controls were showing as he was playing on controller, which he was not. If I want to chat it should not add a new player, even if i was playing on the controller and i chatted using keyboard and mouse like most of us do.
The game is good single player, the humour is decent although it wears fast but new characters make it enjoyable, and it is an interesting and fun concept, especially since you don't experience online issues in singleplayer
This game is great fun for a pick up and drop game when I have 20 or 30 minutes for mindless grind. I think it's tremendously clever!

There are few games that I have such a love/hate relationship with. This is one of them.
One moment I'm having fun wiping out bad guys in various ways and laughing at the havoc I'm causing, then the next I'm sighing an rolling my eyes at the 40th cheap death in a row.
The game is definitely fun time, but it can also be an extremely frustrating time.
The randomness that can, and will, frequently occur is funny at first but becomes tiresome later.
One random element that can lead to this is the fact players have no control over which "bro" they play without mods. So consider looking into that if that's an issue.
Also it is a shame that this game has had its final update consider there is a pretty bad bug where exiting a mech or tank near a checkpoint flag can teleport the player to a random spot on the level, or out of the level.
Despite the complaints I still give this game a recommend due to the fact that when things are going well it is a blast. Just be prepared to go from enjoyment to frustration from time-to-time.
Funny. Good with friends and solo. Just enough, not too much, not too little. Really nice final boss.
