Enjoyed every moment of this game!
The art, movement, puzzles, and overall walkthrough experience were exceptional. I highly recommend it

It has like a Standard childish art with unique features like creatures (they have a little "family friendly body horror") and steampunk elements.
Some more fast pacing platforming were needed to light more emotion beetween some levels. There's only one session like this and is, at the last stage. Puzzles were easy, in the last 2 stages were a little more hard to see the logic.
The story is simple, short and straightforward. The villain's weapon is lore potential for a more extended story. Let's dream about that.
Charming music with some steampunk elements too.
A fun little jumping puzzle game, not too difficult. A good little adventure.
One of the best quick games to wile away an afternoon.

Summary
Chronology is a game about a scientist dwarf(?) who is on a mission to retrieve a weapon from the hands of his evil master.
This via means of a time travel device, and a snail (simply called snail), who can pause time altogether.

-Pretty interesting time mechanics (somewhat comparable to Braid)
-Decent price to play time ratio
-Good artstyle and music, as expected from Bedtime Digital

-Crashes very easily
-Will straight up not open on some pcs
-Platforming feels sluggish; e.g. hitboxes being very bad
-Some puzzles make no logical sense
Opinion
I lowkey enjoyed this game, though the inherent amount of issues I've had with it definitely dragged it down.
The game would in fact not launch on my other computer, but works mostly fine on this one...? On top of that it's quite buggy and feels spaghetti coded. Which is quite a bad thing for a 2014 release.
The last sections of the game are also just unforgiving platforming, which does *not* work in a game with hitboxes that have incredibly poor indication like this. Overall that just seemed like a poor design choice as it didn't even use the main game mechanics anymore for those.
tldr;
Kinda fun, spaghetti code.
Should you buy it?
Please just don't.
A great way to spend a quiet afternoon or evening nice graphics, game mechanics and soundtrack with just the right amount of puzzles for a relaxing time.
Decent puzzle game on sale, a couple of tough spots.

Short and cute adventure game from a danish dev team.
The story is very short and simple and the puzzles are not hard, except for that last one with the door that I had to look up :D
You play as a gnome with ur 'pet' snail buddy and u work as a team toward the end boss which is ur alchemy master who screwed something up. The end boss is not at all challenging, there is nothing to fight in this game so u should only expect some jumping and puzzling with a little side story, which is still really nice xperience.

Omg how cute was the flower with the tooth ache!
You can get stuck in a few places like I did in the screenshot below and jumped behind an invisible wall,but the chapters are short and if it happens u wont loose much time.

I loved the colours and visual setting and once u get past the Linux block wall its a nice little enjoyable game to spend an hour or 2 on!

How to play it on Linux:
This game runs on NET 4.0 and and older windows system XP, this is the workaround:
- Select proton 4.11 in the compatability list in the steam game settings.
- Install Protontricks seperatly if u dont alr have it via ur package manager/terminal or whichever way u prefer.
- Launch Protontricks (it can sometimes be slow to load the boxes, just be patient) and select Select the Default Wineprefix -> Install a Windows DLL.
- Find dotnet40 (MS NET 4.0) in the dropdown list and install it.
- Choose Windows XP when prompted as the new default windows system ( u can always change this back) and click OK to the notification box that might appear.
Launch the game normally, and let it crash if it does, which it might do the first time.
The game should run and start normally now if u did these steps correct and ur cat didnt interfere with the process !
If this doesnt work for u, try to launch the game via Lutris, or reinstall NET 4.0 via protontricks if u play it over several times and it 'resets'.
