The game looks so nice and I bought it for myself and my friend, and I would absolutely LOVE to play it. From what I have seen it looks beautiful and I like the concept of it.
HOWEVER
The game has no settings which means I can't play it at all. When I open it, it opens randomly on one of my 3 screens and messes up the other two screens, the audio also can't be adjusted and is insanely loud. I wanted to tab out to mute it via the audio manager but I can't tab back into it, it's just a white square hanging in the corner. I won't be able to play this with my friend as I won't be able to hear her in discord with the music that loud. I can't mute the game if it's not running. I also don't like how it messes up my 3 screens.
This game needs basic settings for at least the audio and window behaviour. fullscreen/window mode is the bare minimum that should be adjustable. With a borderless window mode tabbing in and out to adjust the audio wouldn't be an issue either. As it is now I can't play it but it looks too pretty and I really want to hold onto it in hopes a fix comes around.
Love playing this with friends, even with those not used to gaming. It's quite simple and short. But enjoyable and fun.
get yawghed
This is genuinely one of my favorite narrative type coop games to just pick up and play with a group of friends passing the controller. Never had a bad session, always sparks fun and discussion. Art is gorgeous and the music is so good. Cannot overstate that last part the music is amazing.
A short and beautiful game that is perfectly sweet, funny and dark at all at once.
Short, but unique and refreshing.
Old game at this point, but really great. PG13 themes and the game not fuctioning when you alt-tab out are the only possibly issues you may have. Interesting story, with funny and dramatic moments. Super simple gameplay that anybody can understand. You can finish a playthrough in about 20 minutes, but will likely want to go once or twice again.
Amazing game I've gotten hours of fun from. Definitely worth it, especially on sale.

strange and beautiful
A neat little game that's always a good time to stream and play with friends. Wish there were more co-op, narrative-based games like this one.
one of my most treasured gaming memories is playing THE YAWHG with a rowdy group of friends, each controlling a different character and seeing what mischief we could get up in the game's colorful world - and how bad it would all turn out for us when the Yawhg finally, inevitably arrived.
we found (and became) monsters, fought our way through magical diseases, became vigilante crimefighters, and saw the world end, over and over again. when we finally "beat" it, and good the good ending, we were exultant, and i shouted myself hoarse in celebration.
once you figure out how to get that ending, the game feels a little more hollow and trivial - so don't focus too much on that. instead, you're being invited to a charming little fantasy city. focus more on trying to see what's around all the corners, while appreciating the whimsical writing and the amazing artwork of Em Carroll.
recommended for a good time, not a long time.
A simple game, about simple people, making the best of a life, and picking each other up as required. A game about sharing a drink in a warm tavern and chopping wood in the cold woods. A game about people being people, in an ever-changing world.

Lovely game - very creative, although with very limited set of endings.
11 Years later and this is still my go-to game to bring out whenever a friend and I need to pass some time. It has such a lovely atmosphere, delightful stories, and a fun sense of dread. Short and sweet, but with a lot of replayability, especially by introducing it to new people and watching their reactions.
I mean, its a fun simple game. But I completed it twice in the 30 minutes I played it. So take that as you will. Is that worth £7, probably not. But I enjoyed it at least.
A single run of this Choose-Your-Own-Adventure styled game can take about 10-15 minutes. I just played 4 hours straight. The game lasts six turns, each turn representing in in-game week. Each week you make choices; where to go and what to do when you get there. There are randomized events for each location, and depending on your previous choices or your current stats, there are different connecting paths or narratives. This means lots of replayability and encourages experimentation. This is a game where the fun lies in the discovery, so the less you know, I think the more enjoyment you will get out of it. I highly recommend if you are a fan of narrative games or storytelling in general. Ultimately, The Yawhg is a tale about trying to survive. It can be bittersweet, but if you are drawn in by the aesthetic art and melancholy soundtrack, you won't be disappointed.
A fun game with rriends! You only need one person to buy it too! Lots of endings to unlock and explore
