Misa is a Blade Templar, a secret defender of humanity, who also happens to be a high school student. When her classmate Suzuka succumbs to the dark seduction of the Demon Blade, Misa realizes she must protect the world at all costs. The evil sword has already begun draining Suzuka's life force, and if Misa can’t destroy the Blade alone, she may very well need to strike her friend down.
Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae focuses on high-speed, arena-based action. Use lightning-fast sword slashes, hand-to-hand attacks, and mysterious ancient fighting techniques to defeat wave after wave of demonic foes. Make no mistake; this will not be easy. Your enemies are relentless and will attack from all sides. If you aren't prepared to strike and roll, you'll be overwhelmed in no time flat.
Weaken your opponents with vicious wounds, employ hand-to-hand techniques to build your katana gauge, and then cut deep with your divine sword. A spectacular flurry of blades will take down even the largest crowd of NPCs! After beating them bloody, sheathe your sword to finish them off with style. Be warned, however: if the enemy isn't "bleeding", then they'll take the opportunity to strike you mid-pose!
Use skill points to learn new skills, upgrade your abilities, and take on brutal bosses. With every playthrough of Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae, you will continue to hone your skills as a player until you’re virtually unstoppable! If the game suddenly becomes too easy, there are three difficulty levels with which to test your mettle. Good luck!

This game is a demo for a potential kusoge. It's playable, yes, and you can spend some time in it. But you shouldn't. Unless you are really bored or curious. Can't really recommend. I really want to know how it was created though.
Don't waste your time playing this game; it's not worth it.
after playing this game on 2 different platforms i can proudly say this is a pretty lit hack n slash arena fighter. While this game really shines with its combat, it does have a decent little story going on while your beating the shit outta enemies.
A very mediocre slash 'em up game, repetitive and clumsy control.
it was a fun little game with combat that i think is kind of insane when you consider the fact this is an indie dev team.
If it had more than one weapon or character to choose from, I would go as far as to say the combat would be on par with dmc3 or DmC.
There really isn't a "story" per say, just some quirky little dialogue between the two hot chicks with katanas. I liked all of the outfits you can get for your character.
Difficulty wise, it was pretty good up until Very Hard mode where you can't even fight like normal anymore you just gotta run around and spam your judgment cut move over and over until everything dies because if you decide to go in and try to fight you will get beat up bad.
Inferno difficulty is actually easier in the sense that, you may die in one hit but enemies are also weaker. Wave 4 in Stage 4 with the Parry Knight guys can get pretty annoying but you just gotta get the Flourish timing down and gather them all in one spot and you're good.
Pretty neat game! I would recommend even at full price. :)
cool, charming, fun, made me 100% it a single sitting, you'll like it if you like either Devil May Cry, Onee-chanbara or God Hand, i recommend
Fun CAG game, we need more CAGs
This game is remarkably fun for what it is. But what is it exactly? Well it pretty much what it looks like, an arena fighter with combat similar to ninja gaiden,dmc,bayonetta if you like those games you will probably like this. Downsides are its one of those games where the entire budget went to the MC gameplay n upgrades and pretty much nothing else. The bosses are a bit more annoying than fun/challenging to fight theres no enemy variety and its very short would i recommend getting it then still? Yes if you dont mind those things for the 2$ sale price tag its def worth.
Devil may cry but for weebs
I did bought the game on sale, but it worth the full price.
I don't know the history or the origin of the game. But it feels like a PS2 game, in the best way of the meaning.
As others did describe it is like as most of the hack and slash game, like DMC, Darksiders, (or like some of the TEKKEN's has a sub-gamemode like that).
But as I said it is like a PS2 game, so nothing crazy RPG things. You have some unlockable combos and upgradeable attack for points that are generated by fighting.
[I rarely say this, but I recommend or better to say, you must have a controller for the full experience].
