Fun pew-pew times that you could experience even in cooperative multiplayer. I'm not the type of guy who cares a lot about lore/story/aesthetics, but I can appreciate good ones and here these are a killer. And the sound design and voice acting are also a banger. Looks like the genre of top-down shooters is one of my favourites. Similar solid fun games:

Co-op up to 3 players

Top down twin stick shooter with i-frame dodges.

Played through the campaign with one friend and it took about 7 hours to complete. Never got to fully finish the game after Alpha dies because the game bugged out at the same point on two retries; its a 9 year old game at this point (I don't fault the devs for this).

Game play is great, graphics are stellar, controls are spot on, effects substantial but not blinding, sound is top notch, class system is nothing but cherries on top of an exceptional dessert. Lots of love poured in to this art.

The other weapons / guns in on the mechs are clunky to swap to and use in heated fire fights; rarely switched off of my primary weapon.

This game was fun and short*, didn't outlive it's welcome or let any of the mechanics get stale. Worked great on Steam Deck. Pretty sure co-op is dead as a doornail.

Probably don't buy anywhere near full price.

*I'm personally a big fan of 5-7 hour games like that. I'd rather pound though a short game then quit bored 7 hours into a 30+ hour game because the light at the end of the tunnel is so far off but the game hasn't introduced anything new since the 2nd hour of gametime (Borderlands series....looking at you)

TL/DR: If I had to use one word-> SATISFYING! Great balance and reward. It's not revolutionary but it does what it set out to do VERY well and isn't just another lazy game in the genre. Mmmmm, physics.

I usually wait to beat a game to review it (unless it is a crap game in which case I'll explain that in a negative review) but I'm half way through this one and I have a complete grasp on every aspect (I may even have already guessed the story, it seems obvious though so we'll see). The game feel is ON POINT! The physics are refreshing and enhance immersion and help with the overall game feel. The class choices are fun and diverse; they upgrade VERY well and it actually feels rewarding to progress. You even get cosmetic unlocks; It even has CAPES! The game is well balanced throughout and allows just the right amount of settings for customization within its lane. I highly recommend this one, but play with a friend!

Good game, but we were unable to finish as the game repeatedly hung during the cut scene after killing Alpha.

Got it on sale for a dollar. Multiplayer isn't very populated and single player is fine, except the game is clearly tuned with 3 people in mind. If you're going SP, just stick with easy difficulty unless you enjoy shooting absolute bullet sponges.

Fun and short, highly recommend

Neat little ARPG Shooter. A good 6 hours for a casual playthrough, 15-20 for a completionist.

not my usual type of game but really fun. story is kind of cheesey but it feels like a game ,like something you want to close and come back to the next day and not like a chore (my subjective take on other top down games)

It is a solid top down shooter that I highly recommend WITH friends but not solo simply because when you play solo your far more likely for the game to bug out in ways like the game not recoginizing you have killed a boss and now your stuck and need to redo the whole level with a high chance of it just happening again anyway but in co op I had it only happen twice in the 45 hours I played. Some decent movesets that definitely make the robots differ enough from one another to set themselves apart and bring something new to the fight. I honestly almost gave this one a bad review for how many bugs I encountered solo but was just fun enough to keep it in the green. Get it very cheap.

Pros: RPG, action, coop, nice sound and visual design, and just good MCU Ultron story line. For some players the game can be even re-playable.
Cons: final boss is very weak on any difficulty, sync issues may appear and fixes only with switching the host some why (but thanks its very fixable if happens), some models or A.I. behaviour are buggy (we had spider-robots stuck on most locations and it seemed AI didn't know what to do).

Played with 3 friends, hard difficulty. The game was 8.5/10 for us. Great thanks.

Solid game play and a far more engaging story than i expect form a twinstick shooter.

Stick to running on easy until you have all 3 weapon slots filled. It is not worth the bullet sponge feeling you get running on normal. You wont die but it is a bit tedious. This should be done by the 3rd or 4th stage.

A short but really delightful experience, some of the most fun i had with a twinstick shooter. The combat is always exciting, the abilities of each class are all well implemented. You are really getting stronger as you level up in this game which gives a nice sense of progression. Even playing solo, this game is really fun and very much recommended if you dont mind the short campaign. Its also very replayable and you can switch between classes at any time.

Good top-down shooter like Alien Shooter, plus co-op (can play with friends).

Great game. Unfortunately no coop.
