Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure is the ultimate geek crossover, blending the chaos of Maxwell’s magical notebook with the sprawling, lore-rich universe of DC Comics. As a hardcore DC fan and collector, this game feels like an all-you-can-eat buffet of Easter eggs, obscure characters, and deep cuts from the comics. Want to summon Ambush Bug? Go for it. Feel like pitting Anti-Monitor against Mogo the Living Planet? The game has you covered. It’s not just a game—it’s a celebration of everything DC, lovingly rendered in charming, blocky graphics. It even manages to sneak in a little education for kids (and some adults), teaching them English vocabulary while they accidentally learn the difference between Pre-Crisis Superman and Post-Crisis Superman. Genius, really.
For die-hard DC fans, the sheer depth of the character roster is both mind-blowing and a badge of geekdom. The game isn’t just about Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman (though they’re here in spades); it also includes Nth Metal, Starro, and, yes, even Kite Man. Hell yeah! It’s the perfect sandbox to explore the DC Universe in hilarious and unexpected ways. Watching Mr. Mxyzptlk summon chaos or solving puzzles with Alfred Pennyworth wielding a giant wrench never gets old. And for younger players, it’s a crash course in DC mythology wrapped in fun, creative problem-solving. For us seasoned fans? It’s a gleeful tribute to the stories and characters we’ve obsessed over for years. Scribblenauts Unmasked isn’t just a game; it’s a geek’s dream come true.
goat
fire
Simple but quite fun. I really like this for a good time easy game when I need to wind down.
I do enjoy the other Scribblenauts more but this is still fun
goated
i love scribbling my nauts
Like the first one but you can spawn in 15 different versions of the flash.
Honestly not a big fan of the superhero bit.
spawn stuff in and cause mayhem or beat the game like a normal person
TOO MANY BUGS
While I love the idea and concept of this game and it has some really great personality, it is made very lackluster and I feel it didnt get the effort it deserved, it has many problems including crashing, many bugs, a boring currency system, and horrible checkpoint system, but I still had fun with it from time to time
Game can't be launched on Windows 11
Crashes whenever you open the encyclopeda, waste of money
Play it its really funny but you cant blend people in the game
Easy to play, they add a lot of new item and vocab than previous game
Maxwell can canonically solo superman AND batman.
one of the greatest games of all time, should've won Game Of The Year
the last part is pain but is good game
She scribble on my nauts
I am a little bit torn whether I should give positive or negative review here. I will stay with positive, because I just really liked and was waiting long time to play that kind of game to write and create objects. However I just did not like mechanic to grind points to unlock levels and costumes. Grind was really tedious with repetitive tasks to do. Multiplier x2 was help there, but sometimes I was not able to make all tasks with additional rules. Also that 50% for using words more than once was a little bit stupid. First game (Scribblenaut Unlimited) was so much better than this one at least in my opinion.
it fun
Batman Origin Story
- oh no his parents died
- Bruce is sad
- didnt read what i had to do
- typed "parent" and gave the living human being to Bruce
- works
Yes im somewhat of a hero myself
I've been wanting to play this since I was a kid, but it's honestly been super disappointing. The game has a bad habit of crashing randomly and not saving progress in a chapter. It could crash within a single minute of being in game and it seems like a lot of other players have encountered the same issue. The crashing tends to happen if you click on the superheros catalog or notebook which are essential parts of the gameplay. If you just want to experience nostalgia for a bit, go for it but earning all the achievements is so difficult when you can't even run the game long enough.
Its creative and broad
Game crashes. I cannot interact with the notebook. It won't let me. I am saddened that this is the outcome of purchasing this game. Don't waste your time and money getting this game.
This game is like a heroic version of Unlimited, and it's a lot of fun defeating super villains and fighting crime with the superheroes. Well, besides the random crash dumps involving unhandled exception errors.
shit so nostalgic man, how did they make a game good with this wack a premise and mechanic?????
Its like a worse version of unlimited but it has superheros so if you have unlimited already get this
Amazing game despite a lot of unpleasant crashes experienced at the worst timing (often in the middle of a mission/challenge)
I hope I'm the only one it'll happen to because it can really take away from the otherwise great gameplay
sciblez
That was crazy fun.
As a Scribblenauts game, Unmasked is... pretty good. Honestly, I've only played any of the other games in the series here and there - this is the only one I've played to the end so far. So, yeah, I can't really properly compare it to the others. Still, solving puzzles by conjuring (almost) anything you can think of (provided you can remember what that thing is actually called - trust me, this problem pops up while playing more often than you'd think) is a brilliant concept. The way the game encourages you to think of different solutions to each puzzle, as opposed to using the same one multiple times (for example, there are a number of missions that require you to physically combat a foe. You *could* just conjure a "sword" each time - but you get more "points" if you don't reuse a word - trust me, when you play it, you'll understand) is great.
As a DC Comics game, though, it's outstanding. If you're a DC nerd, you'll be astonished at some of the obscure DC-related stuff you can create. You can even conjure up actual DC heroes and villains from across the entire DC multiverse. For example again, trying to create "Superman" brings up a list of different Supermans. Do you want the "Red Son" Supes? How about the one from Kingdom Come? I even think the Superman from the Injustice games is in there.
Plus, the way they portray these characters in the story is lighthearted but still accurate. Batman is still serious and brooding, and that's played up for some chuckles, but Unmasked also doesn't overdo it. The game sets a tone and sticks with it. I like that.
Long story short, if you like fun, interesting games, you're going to like this. Even more so if you love DC.
Very fun, big fan of the Scribblenauts series, unfortunately this game crashes like a mf and it seems like I'm not the only one with this problem :/ Fortunately I have the patience to power through and continue reopening the game, but it can be a little frustrating. If you have the patience too, I do recommend !! If not, well, this platform for the game might not be for you, I also got this for a 3.99 sale, so not a big waste either :D
scribblenauts is very cool i remember playing scribblenuauts and unmasked on my 3ds it was fun
unfortunately no
Blending creative puzzle-solving with DC Comics' characters, it offers a fun and imaginative experience. The ability to summon any object or hero adds a unique twist to the gameplay, though some puzzles can be easy. It’s a great choice for fans of both the DC universe and sandbox-style creativity.
