***Save Often, This Game Crashes***
I like theoretically being able to get multiple of the captain powers, other than that most of the new features do not work well.
Still pretty fun.
I remember buying the creature creator when I was maybe 8 or 9? I fell in love with it immediately. Little did I know that the full game was releasing in just over 1 week. I was absolutely HYPED. Made probably 500 creatures each with their own backstory and different personalities. Then this game came out and it was filled with everything I had done. I loved it then, I love it now. Just wish that this game would get an updated remaster for consoles.....
The variety you have in the creature you make, the buildings, what you do? is ENDLESS. The galaxy is your oyster, quite literally and figuratively. If you want a game that stretches your imagination and then some.....here it is.
I went to my best friends house everyday of summer when this game came out. I may be in the minority of liking this game but it just brings back those memories of fun
no other game could come close to this nor can they ever do something similar to this
Very buggy and crashes often, but just about every stage is fun, and the ability to create your own being from Cellular level to conquering the galaxy is amazing. Needs a sequel.
Since i like evolution and making creatures, this is my resting place to make creatures (No it's not a bear reference) PLUS! You can even make weird looking cars or buildings, I RESPECT THAT!!! Also i recommend you to buy all DLCS and try to find a guide to install the Dr. pepper pack (If you are not authorized to go to the google drives copy the link on chrome and paste it and you can install it there) For example, if you wanted to make a character in spore. POW! There ya go! (I can't think of anything now)
The most important feature of the game, sharing creations with other, got disabled so the game cant be recommended anymore.
No, complicated unofficial bug fixes which can work do not fucking count.
Also many mods got lost and/or are not compatible with the Steam version of the game. In fact not a single mod which I tried worked with the Steam version and without mods this game is not worth playing in singleplayer.
The extra parts from the infamous Dr. Pepper scam campaign are also NOT included in the Steam version. Despicable behavior by EA, like always.
Game crashes randomly which means your progress gets reseted everytime unless you constantly saveing the game...

im gonna be real with you, this game is dogshit. but i have so many fond childhood memories of it i cant help but love it. i know that its nothing but nostalgia and copium, i dont care, i love this game
The game is one of the greatest masterpieces of 2000's, but EA blew it as no one could
The game and it's two DLC's sold as a 3 separate games, which you must install in the right order, fix on this matter can be done with one man and one day of work maximum, EA just won't give a shit about any of the good games they had decades ago (not to mention titanfall2)
Then to ACTUALLY get the content you paid for (sporepedia online and spore account) - you need to contact EA support and throw receipts to them, then have an EA account registered as well
My advice - download the game from torrents, maxis is no more anyway
If you really want the sporepedia - buy&refund to receive the account

This is one of my favorite games. I love that I can be creative designing creatures.
The game will not let you set up an account because you did not buy it directly from EA Games. Tech support on EA Games is suspicious. They ask for information like your home address, phone number, credit card info, screenshots of email purchases, screenshots of Steam purchases, and account information. They even ask for your private IP address. I stopped the conversation with EA games. They kept asking for more and more info after proof of purchase, enough info that if I answered anymore, it would open me up to being hacked. Be Careful!!!
Game is notoriously known for crashing. As long as you quicksave at appropriate times, this game is an absolute blast 10/10 would recommend to anyone. The space adventures are neat, definitely worth picking up if it goes on sale. (usually is)

In all seriousness, this was my childhood. And being able to play this game without giving Ubisoft a second of my attention and doing this directly through Steam is a dream come true
at 300 hours, this is my most played steam game, and for good reason too. galactic adventures is very addicting. spore is already one of my favorite games of all time, and the galactic adventures dlc just adds up to making the base game even better (would be nice if we had an aquatic stage tho). its just very fun to create creatures from cell to space, and the adventures are pretty fun too because they're like an evolution of creature stage.
If you're having trouble getting the game to work, follow these steps:
Right-click on the game in your Steam Library and select Properties.
Navigate to the Installed Files tab and click Browse Files.
Open the SporeBinEP1 folder.
Right-click on SporeApp.exe and select Properties.
Go to the Compatibility tab:
Check Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows 8.
Check Run this program as an administrator.
Click Apply and OK.
Launch the game directly from the SporeApp.exe file.
For me this game is sometimes associated with how to get distracted and nostalgic and create your own freak, it will do for a couple of evenings, just coming back from time to time.
The idea and presentation itself are great, but there is no particular plot here, a sandbox of life in a couple of hours.
But it is definitely worth attention.

I like Spore: Galactic Adventures, because it was the best favorite game I've ever played. I've played this game once, but I may been helping out to course with Cokeverse, but I was making it for Splashinisverse. I though I was gonna making a story about the five monsters who escaped from their POV-styled Moose Tribe House, chasing through the city, and finding way back home. That was my first story to ever come up, and I see that it would be nice to fill in Cokeverse, because this is for Cokeverse to be made, but for Splashinisverse at least.
This is the best game ever made, the comuntity is the best, there are loads of people playing this game that came out in 2008. Even though EA pulled the rug under this game far, far to many times everyone still held on. I have spent hours of my life making adventures and creatures. Sometimes buildings, cars, planes, ships, and spacecraft if I feel like it. Even though it says I have 113 hours (curatenly) but that's just in Galactic Adventures. This plus the base game makes 350 hours of total play time and I don't regret any of it. Spore was always a master piece in my eyes. But if you are expecting a crazy evolution simulator then this may not be the game for you. For that I would recomend The Sapling or Thrive. But the creature creator is something else. You really can make anything you can think of, with a glitch you can even make things that swim through the air like a fish or a whale. Or even turn on freedom and infinte money with comands in all the creators. This game is pure stupid fun and more people should know that.

This game is a absolute MASTERPIECE, it is a unique game that lets you make and survive as your own creation, and you can become a space captain! that Japanese rip off called the stupid name of war of evolution has absolutely NO CHANCE at being better than spore. Who ever made war of evolution i hope they deeply regret what they did because in my eyes they're extremely stupid.

don't let my hours fool you, i've played Spore since 2008 and still love playing today - there's just nothing else like it
The game itself is great, but getting it through steam rather than the EA app basically locks you out of online acess unless you manage to sucessfully convince their craptastic support to add the game to your EA app since you already bought it. Even linking accounts did nothing. Again, the game is great, just do not get it through steam and go to EA instead, it'll save you a headache.
Spore is a significantly better game without this DLC, don't bother

Unfortunately, No! BROKEN FEATURES & CRASHES. Excellent game, timeless and deeply captivating in-depth game play, customization, and nearly infinitley replayable. I am sad to leave such a bad review, but this is a ridiculous shame. :(
PROBLEMS:
1.) EA/Origin Sign in (in-game prompted registration) is non-functional, keeping your play experience slightly limited (with no access to online features of the game).
2.) Game Crashes with no mods, once You enter the Space Stage every single time in my experience. Space Stage is a whole part of game. To play the game up till this point and be left out of a core part of the experience due to an unservicible and inevitable crash is a jarring disappointment.
EA's version is even worse, since I can't even get the game to start at all on their site.
Total Shame, Another Iconic CPU Classic rendered Unplayable due to no support or attention from the devs. Trying to look up solutions or fixes will show you a slew of online posts of other players having issues with crashes as well, in varrying points in gameplay. However no proposed solutions ever correct the problem. Most people give up on the game entirely, and with the lack of support out there and the frustration I can't say I blame them. I hope this game gets the attention it deserves, and fixes are made.
I would've been better off buying the physical discs and playing it the old fashioned way.
cant play online on steam, need to download it on ea platform, which takes at least 24h since they won't allow you to contact them unless you have a 24h old forum question (most of the time), so in other words I paid for a incomplete game with no online features, the same you could get for free from piracy. So Ea is a very strong argument for piracy supporters, that's all I'm going to say on the topic.
Game still holds up years later as one of my favs.
It Is An Extremely Good Expansion Pack
An older game but by far one of my favorites. I think it was one of the first games I ever played.
Spore: Galactic Adventures expanded the universe, letting us create stories and explore new worlds. The mission-based gameplay added depth and creativity, rekindling the magic of Spore’s imaginative journey.

i liked how it was very unique and honestly im a christian and this game is basically an athiest evolution sim (its hard to make me enjoy things not believing in god)
Galactic Adventures completes the Spore experience and while its not required to enjoy the base game. Its definitely recommended!
