You either get frustrated by the "complexity" meter or you used the spit glands to simulate lewd body parts in creature creation and no, you cannot change my mind about that.
GOAT...Its still playable in 2025 :).
17 years later and still fun.
Remember to set all graphics settings to max or you may get black screen when starting a new world...resolution setting can be whatever you need to see the UI.
Great, fun, and cool, especially the civ stage is fun... and annoying at times, i highly reccomend

better than everything else. this is peak. this is the best game. ever. i've played so many others and nothing compared to SPORE galactic adventures.
One of the best, creative and unique games ever made.
The possibilities are endless.
You can create almost anything you want to.
The creativity of people amazes me in this game.
Playing on on many different ways and styles. Can reply it a lot of times.
Your own and friends and online creations you chose spawn in game.
The first 4 stages are not so hard even on the hardest difficulty, also quite short.
While the 5th Space stage is really interesting and really big with a lot of stuff to do and missions & Badges to complete.
With The addition of Galactic Adventures you can experience other peoples adventures and creativity, while leveling your captain and adding new abilities to him.
Indeed do recommend.
Sometimes I imagine if the game came out in this age how much content would there be.
this is a grEAT game... RAVEALOELO AND RAVEALOELO. YOU REALLY QUANZAZINGZURG!
this game giving me thousands of ideas to make anything and everything bro
peak game fr
WE ARE GROX. WE LOVE GROXXING.
A classic sandbox game which has stood the test of time, despite its quirks and shortcomings. I always find myself coming back to it for its Cell and Creature stages alone. Things get a bit more tedious from there on, and the Space stage is a grind fest. Still, would recommend it to anyone who never had the chance to experience it back in its day.
i love grimbles and boobs
You can get the online working, but only through an annoyingly arduous (fit for EA) and confusing couple of tasks. Look up a thousand steam guides https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3288315388&searchtext=Online and join their official Spore discord https://www.spore.com/welcome https://discord.gg/sporeofficial and look at pcgamingwiki https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Spore to help you figure it out.
Basically you need to have the EA app/origin, and you need to own whatever Spore you're trying to play on both versions, and in order to get the CD keys (because they were disabled years ago due to repeat CD keys being made and EA disabling them as a result), you need to contact EA support and have proof of purchase on steam in order for them to activate it on your EA/Origin app. Only then will you be able to play with that content unlocked. Make sure your Spore password is 16 characters or less, because it wont work otherwise; even though in the EA account it will work with more than 16 characters, the spore password will not!
Make sure to install every version on steam, then only play the galactic adventures version, because that actually holds all the versions completely. The original spore config files is the one in spore/data/config, and galactic adventures is the one in spore/dataEP1/config. Any changes to the config files must be done to both of them in order to have the effect. If you only have the original spore installed, you only need to change the data/config one. If you have both and then launch the original spore, it will not show any changes (such as uncapped fps), it will only show changes on galactic adventures.
This game desperately needs and begs for some sort of remaster. Remaster, not remake. As in, consolidating all versions of spore into one release (Creepy and cute parts pack is separate from galactic adventures, from bot parts pack, original spore, etc), updating the game for modern systems and beyond (open-sourcing it), and fixing the absolutely broken and annoying system of online along with all the bugs like bot part packs, fps cap (I know you can fix it in the config, I mean by menu) so people can play it, easily, simply, and normally, ad infinitum, unlike today where it feels like putting a broken doll back together.
The greatest game of all time and no one can convince me otherwise.
GOAT/10
This game doesn't work! I press play, it starts but then just doesn't want to! FIX UR GAME
It's like spore but spacier :)
R.I.P. Maxis. :(
This is my childhood game...
how to complete the game
I live making my spore characters going through modern warfare
nothing is bad at all its the best game for people.
Drowned a child in this game 10/10
most formative game of my childhood. I pray we one day get a remake/remaster, or second part
It's alright, but it could be better.
1/10 this DLC genuinely has little to no purpose, its not worth the money. only worth it in a package deal.
You'd think that it makes the space stage more interesting, but this DLC just introduces a toolkit for community made content… this game is ancient by today's standards you aren't going to get a cent of entertainment from this DLC it’s a nothing burger for people like me who want singleplayer content. the only reason its not a zero is that it doesn't destroy the entire game upon being installed, it gets points for not bluescreening my computer, that's not a reference to anything, just pity.
I cannot stress how little I have interacted with this DLC when replaying SPORE.
This is for both the base game of Spore and its DLCs. Highly recommend getting everything before you start playing.
I decided to start a new game of Spore a few weeks ago. A day later, I'd have beaten the Civilization Stage with my military might. My space empire were Knights. I haven't beaten the Grox, of course, but only when the galaxy was free of evil would my mission be complete.
As I started the adventure into Space, I met two allies: The Kirgle Empire (still allies to this very day and very adept where trading is concerned,) and The Poppero Empire (warriors through and through.)
However, this was not a love triangle. I had to sit back and watch the madness, as the Kirgle and the Poppero constantly had war with one another. On top of this, payments from another empire means I had to be put in debt several times.
Eventually, I uplifted one of my own species using a Monolith. They went up to the stars no problem. But then everything took a turn for the worst.
The Poppero decided it was a good idea to outright attack the species I worked so hard to uplift. I tried to counter-attack, but it was far, FAR too late. The uplifted species went extinct, at their greatest hour no less. And I couldn't help but feel like I was betrayed. We were very close allies, but I couldn't take it in anymore.
That was the last straw.
I immediately severed the alliance and went on a killing spree. I nuked their cities and planets until they were a cosmic memory. Their military put up a good fight, but I was in the process of requesting more troops to help out (which I'm currently allies with to this day,) and eventually, they were on their last leg.
I claimed their star system, and when it was all said and done, they were no more. A cosmic memory, written in the deepest of books in the most hollow libraries. But above all else was the lingering feeling of... hopelessness?
I felt so cold-hearted. We were allies. We were friends in a broken love triangle. Sure, there may have been toxic kisses at some point, but I couldn't help but feel a shiver down my spine. It's like one moment, we were friends, and the next, we were destined to kill each other. And in the cosmic blink of an eye, they were gone. Vanished. Never seen again. And looking back at the history books makes me want to cry because of it. That, and I'd grown so attached to my species as a whole.
Great DLC, great game, got screwed over by the masses. EA did not deserve to cut out so much in development.
very fun game
A great upgrade to the spore space stage playstyle
good for its age
Game good, ea bad
kitchen jocky
Топ 1 симулятор форми життя EVER!!!
i can finally build freaks of nature which can rule the galaxy while killing everything. 10/10
held together by popsicle sticks and elmer's glue but really funny to torment your friends with the notification every time it crashes
this game allows me to see my imagination. i have not gotten to space stage yet but so far so good!
play with mods, and make account
Good
It's nice to have something to do in Space Stage besides ecodisaster prevention and selling spice....granted you actually get a good mission, of course...or hell, if you even get a mission at all because I haven't played Spore in a hot minute but I sure don't remember the servers being reliable last time I DID play it. If they fix them it'd be pretty sweet
the best EA gsme
it was great
Such a fun game in my opinion. absolutly love the creativity of it.
It's just an expansion on Spore's endgame, which is interesting, as it's definitely not Spore's best part.
I recommend it.
(Stuttering in amazement)
I love Spore, but there is one small issue: it keeps crashing. so you just save all the time!
very sickgame
Honestly, some of the missions are kinda fun but they can be very repetative, and additionally, if a mission is made by a player there's a very high chance you'll end up stuck with no way to progress, and then you lose relationship with whoever gave you the mission as a result.
I played this back in 2008,bought the creepy and cute extension and the Galaxy adventure to create 50 Adventures.
Here in 2025 This game still thrills my imagination and I hope the next generation of Imaginative gamers try this.
Spore, the core game, is still pretty great. It's a fun game, fun concept, and while the UI has NOT aged well AT ALL, the game itself is still a good time. Unfortunately it still crashes constantly: this is a problem left over from the original development that was NEVER fixed. The crashes are absolutely game-breaking: Creature Stage in particular is barely playable. I'm not sure how anyone got through this game in 2008, because you will lose all progress repeatedly.
That's where mods come in. For better and worse, most modders have chosen the "full" version of the game - i.e. the version with the two DLCs installed - as the one they have modded (since it also has the most updated patches), and their mods don't work with the core version of Spore. So if you want to play Spore with mods to help reduce (not eliminate) the number of crashes and to help make them less painful with an autosave feature, you'll need this DLC.
However: Spore Galactic Adventures is terrible. The core concept of the DLC - creating new adventures and sharing them - doesn't work. So you're left with a few super generic adventures that are quite awful and only subtract from the game. They are easily ignored, and there are a few other updates and features that are nice, but the core function doesn't exist any more - and yet you still have to pay the same price!
SO you're stuck: you have to buy this DLC so you can install the mods necessary for the core game to even function, BUT the GA mod gives nearly zero value otherwise and also makes the game worse by adding long, annoying quests. It's even weirdly listed as an entirely separate game on Steam. So in the end, it's just a ripoff.
If you love Spore and want to experience the game, it's still fun. But it sucks that you're forced to buy extra content to play it. Because of this, I cannot recommend the game.
soooo goooddd very sporetastic :D
