Core childhood memory. Hard to find a game similar to Spore with the same good mechanics and vibe
i liked how it was very unique and honestly im a christian and this game is basically an athiest evolution sim (its hard to make me enjoy things not believing in god)
Galactic Adventures completes the Spore experience and while its not required to enjoy the base game. Its definitely recommended!

While the mechanics are in place for a fun and interesting expansion, it's so bereft of meaningful ways to access most of the content that it's basically not worth playing. Once upon a time you could at least remedy this by getting community created adventures without jumping through a thousand hoops, but those days are long passed.

this is an amazing game. it really gave me so much joy when i was younger, i just played it for the first time in years with the games soundtrack in the backround, it made me so happy in a time where im very sad most of the time. parents, if you are reading this: get this game for your kids, it gives me a sense of safety which calms me down in bad times.
been playing for 13 years, absolutely timeless game! I love wiping out every civilization in each milestone before i move on though lol

its a pretty good game but my one complaint is that the game wont load any more and when i open it everything goes dark and then it kicks me but still a good game
This game is actual garbage and I haven't played anything better
This game plays exactly as it did when I was a kid. It's clunky and sometimes crashes on occasion, the frame rate will randomly drop to stutters, but its as timeless and charming as it was back then. I still love this game, I've spent some hours playing it as an adult and have found nothing new to complain about. This is definitely something to play either for nostalgia purposes, or for a unique blast from the past if you were unfortunate enough to miss out on this growing up in the early 2000s. One of the best things about replaying this game as an adult, is that I finally understand the early stages of the game are more like a tutorial or story mode prepping the user for the final galaxy stage, in which the game becomes a wonderfully detailed and confusing and messy resource management game.

A game that still holds up till today. Maybe even one of the best games to ever be published alongside a goated DLC. Wait for a sale to get all 3 DLCs + Base for like 10 bucks.

i like just about everything this game has to offer. The only thing i think i dislike is that there i'snt an updated version that includes a bit more detail.
