There's something wrong with the game in general. At the start menu, the screen was grey for some reason and it didn't show the start screen as usual. Is it with the game or the laptop I'm using since it's a HP laptop?
the great circle is really a big boob
Lego Indiana Jones is a welcomed addition to the Lego canon of games that lends itself perfectly to the formula established by Lego Star Wars. There's loads of fun to be had playing as the globe-trotting professor of archaeology as you make your way through the original films.
get back to work special carried the 100% run
wow. really happy that Bethesda, Xbox, and Disney gave Machine Games a chance to make an Indiana Jones game. it really does capture the feeling of the movies. you play these little miniaturized versions of movie characters, solving puzzles with a buddy, and in that classic Machine Games fashion, it's pretty violent with enemies breaking into tons of pieces when you kill them. and its really clever how the "great circle" refers to the fact that once you finish all the story missions, you make a "great circle" by playing the free play versions of those same missions again to get the gold bricks. genius.
Heroin levels of nostalgia injected straight into my balls.
This was my first time playing this game so I was excited to see what new changes the devs would make from The Complete Saga. The changes were fairly minor, they just introduced a lot of different mechanics that are heavily in this game, such as the whip and the ability to pick up items. This felt like a lot less of a game than TCS but only because there's literally half the amount of levels, with 18 rather than 36. On its own, however, this game is fun! It's pretty short but it's a fun time while it lasts. I highly recommend this game. I don't have that big of a connection to the Indiana Jones franchise but I still enjoyed the story and all of the new features introduced here. Good stuff, there's not much I can complain about to bring the score down. However, maybe this game was a bit too short. That's probably just a personal preference, however. 9/10
This game is unplayable with the feet sticking and being unable to jump. A platform game with a mobility bugs is a waste of your time.
Amazing game, crappy controller support. The game is literally unplayable if u want to play solo with a controller. Despite this, the game itself is amazing.
Jumping bug, all you need to do is activate vsync in the game, and your graphics drive.
Other than that, straight nostalgia.
Hold on to your potatoes! Follow Indiana Jones through the better films as he punches through endless waves of locals. Use whip to steal treasures and clock up air miles around the world. Great cameos from memorable characters, including a whitewashed Short Round.
A lot of bugs for a Lego game. Sliding around on terrain and other objects without pressing any movement keys, getting stuck on terrain and being unable to jump (Edit: like other comments said, turning on Vsync seems to help this). Much worse in 2 player as we were unable to switch between characters to fix it. Needs a patch but after all these years I doubt it'll get one.
It's a good game to play, have other Lego games
It is a really fun lego game, just turn on vertical sync, and the game works super well
A fun installment that I remember from being a kid. To be fair, the lack of lightsabers was a little tough to get used to, but the puzzles themselves are fun, and the bananas and monkeys added a nice touch to the gameplay. I like how they have the different categories of character who all bring their own piece to the table. All in all a fun game. 6/10.
good game but as soon as get to bridge part can't get over it was ussing Xbox controllor for it hope the secend one will work does it work does anyone know or wast of 7 dollars
This game right here was the very first video game I ever played, all the way back in 2009-2010. We had this with on Xbox 360 with that double-pack with the Kung-Fu Panda game, but THIS was the game I spent the most time on.
If I had to pick one LEGO game to recommend, it would be this one. LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures has practically everything you could ever want and need from both a LEGO game and an Indiana Jones game. The characters, the combat, the music, the levels, the puzzles, the secrets, EVERYTHING. This game has it all for Indy fans and action adventure game fans.
This game very rarely goes on sale, but whenever it does, pick it up! There is a reason why this is my favourite video game of all time.
Caved and bought the game while it was on sale. Always had great memories playing through this as a kid. Would recommend playing this again, but I'd only buy this if it was on sale
nice ps2 game
I LOVE LEGO INDIANA JONESSSS!!
I don't like giving reviews since I have horrible hand/eye coordination typically even in games but if your like me and your going based on previous Lego games and knowing you can complete it.... this review is for you the causal gamer. Crashed upon opening it. Doesn't let you used steam interface or window key on PC to look up anything if you put on music or movies in the background. In game first bridge in the opening level I noticed I get stuck on, not a good sign then the 2nd bridge. My character I need to jump after Indy uses his whip refuses to jump and just dives into the abyss.... I regret not playing this right away upon purchase but since I tend to play these when I'm in the mood I don't play it right away.. Now I doubt I can get a review but it's tainted any fun out of this game. I am happy I got it on sale but even then. I played Lego Jurassic World before this and yes I went out of order with the chapters but it was ridiculously fun and thought out enough with character changes to the point I didn't mind replaying some levels when it didn't save the minikits the first time. I have only played a few Lego games so far so I can't really figure out the norm for them but this is not one I could ever recommend. It shouldn't take 25 minutes to get through the first part of the chapter where you physically can't get past the 2nd bridge.. At least the other Lego games I knew it was my skill level and the others had the bugs happen past the first chapter. No time to enjoy it whatsoever.
Pros:
- This game is based off of the first three Indiana Jones Movies
- Great Levels
- Useful Extras
Cons:
- Terrible Platforming
- Again, doesn't run well on PC
okie dokie docta jones
Gregsona 3 Reload
It is ain't that bad, but some mechanicks are acctually so stupid
As much as I love this game, I can't help but be bummed that it lacks voice actors and voice actresses. Still, I will not let this game go unloved in the rating department!
For staying true to Indiana Jones lore, and wonderful level design, I give it an 8.5/10!
This is one of the first games i ever played and i will stand by the fact it is one of the best adventure games of all time. I remember playing this on a old win7 desktop pc when i was like 6 or 7 i believe.
I have a windows dvd copy of this game, xbox 360 copy and steam. It never matters how old you get you can never get old enough for lego games not to be enjoyable a timeless classic if you look back at this game in 30 years it will still be a top tier experience.
I would even pay 30-40 bucks for this considering the amount of playtime you get out of it. Haven't done a playthrough of this in probably 4 years.
This game is by far a 9/10 its not a 10/10 due to the need for a 85 or lower fps cap due to engine issues. Besides all of that lego indiana jones, lego indiana jones, and complete saga are my top 3s. Brickster's revenge is amazing aswell.
I am forever thankful that we got these games if you ever feel depressed play all the lego games.
One of the weaker entries imo, but still a nostalgia trip. Quite faithful to the movies
Amazing game. my childhood and the nostalgia just made me love this game so much. BTW turn on vsync so your game isnt super buggy and actually works :)
Indiana Jones' most iconic moments, recreated in the style of the most iconic toy. Arguably one of the greatest games of all time, Lego Indiana Jones is the PERFECT game for any gamer. (Except maybe league players) I HIGHLY recommend.
PS. It belongs in a museum
So many freaking TCS references!!! I really enjoyed LEGO Indiana Jones 1 even though I'm not the biggest fan of the series. I completed it to 100% in about 13 hours, the story took me about 7 hrs and the clean-up about 5hrs. Overall I'd give it a 8/10. A little buggy which knocks it down a point, and another just because I wasn't too interested in the story. I bet for Indy fans it's awesome.
One bug you should be aware of is that for some reason whenever I'd jump onto a platform or cross a lego-made bridge or whatnot, I couldn't jump off it. I would jump 2 mm off the ground (vertically) and then just halt. I learnt that if you turn V-sync on it fixes it.
For 100%'ers: This game is so much fun but there are a few times I missed an artefact (minikit) due to the fact that once you get the artefact locator extra, the arrows are so small and white. A lot of the game has bright environments where you'll easily miss some minikits. I think there are like 2 missions at night time and the rest are in bright blue skies. So watch out for that. Otherwise the TCS references were fun and are required to 100%. Took me 5 mins to watch a video for the remaining characters I missed. Overall for 100% I'd say a 7/10.
Summary:
For Casuals: 8/10 - A little buggy. But otherwise this is a gem of a game. If you liked Star Wars The Complete Saga, you will feel right at home.
For 100%'ers: 7/10 - All things stated above, plus some minikits are in some wacky areas of levels that you can easily miss in which you have to restart the whole level. Otherwise one of the best LEGO games out there.
Maybe I'm dating myself a bit: but these movies and games give me the most nostalgia out of all the lego games. Just started a play through with my oldest friend and we have been having a blast
It's a classic for a reason.
please make lego indiana jones the complete adventures tt games i NEED it
Fun and nostalgic but on PC there's a jump bug and made it extremely difficult to play - 7.7/10
Doesn’t work well with PC. Jumping bug is horrible.
LEGO nazis
Lego Indiana JOnes
I used to love this game as a kid, so I was very excited to play this.
Unfortunately, this game is not very compatible for PC.
I kept getting stuck on bridges, not being able to jump. I would get stuck on the moving stones, not being able to jump there either. Falling and dying over and over again losing all my coins.
Half my play-time was basically trying to get through the bugs of the game.
The final straw for me was the "elevator" on the snowy map at level 2 not even working. I couldn't finish the level at all.
I truly hope they fix this, but since this is such an old game, I don't feel very optimistic.
Refunded.
The best Lego game and my favourite comfort game. I've 100%ed this easily 9 times since I was young and I keep coming back.
LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures – How an Adventurous Game Healed My Soul
It’s strange how some of the most transformative experiences come from places you least expect. For me, one of the most surprising sources of healing came from a video game—*LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures*. At first glance, it might seem like a simple, playful take on the iconic Indiana Jones franchise, filled with action, puzzles, and, of course, the signature LEGO humor. But little did I know that this game would become the unlikely cure for my depression, offering me an escape from my darkest thoughts and reigniting the spark of joy I had long lost.
It wasn’t a sudden realization. In fact, I didn’t even know I was looking for healing when I first picked up *LEGO Indiana Jones*. My depression had been creeping in for months, and by the time I decided to boot up the game, I had already withdrawn from my usual interests and hobbies. Work felt like a slog, socializing felt exhausting, and my mind was often clouded with negative thoughts. Everything was dull, like I was wading through life in a fog.
I didn’t have any grand expectations for *LEGO Indiana Jones*. I just needed a distraction—something that could temporarily pull me out of my head. The colorful, cartoonish graphics of the LEGO world seemed light-hearted enough. I thought maybe it would be a fun, easy way to pass some time. So, I jumped into the first level, expecting nothing more than a few mindless hours of collecting LEGO studs and solving simple puzzles.
From the moment I started the game, I was transported into a world of action and adventure. The opening sequence, a playful homage to the iconic moments from the *Indiana Jones* films, immediately grabbed my attention. The sound of the familiar theme song, the thrill of running from boulders, and the absurdity of solving puzzles with LEGO bricks—it all felt so fresh, so fun. For the first time in weeks, I felt a flicker of excitement.
As I ventured further into the game, I began to realize something important: I wasn’t just playing a game. I was *living* the adventure. As Indy, I traveled across lush jungles, ancient temples, and desert landscapes. The game’s humor kept me engaged, but it was the adventure itself that became my escape. The puzzles were clever, but the sheer act of exploring the vibrant LEGO world brought me a sense of wonder I had almost forgotten. There were no real stakes, no overwhelming pressures, just the freedom to explore, to discover, and to experience the joy of adventure at my own pace.
The beauty of *LEGO Indiana Jones* wasn’t just in its puzzles or the action sequences—it was in its simplicity. It didn’t demand anything from me except to have fun. I didn’t need to be perfect. I could fail, try again, and still enjoy the process. I began to see this game as a metaphor for life. No matter how many times I fell into a pit of spikes or missed a jump, I could always get back up and try again. The game’s light-heartedness reminded me that not everything needed to be so serious. In a world where I often felt overwhelmed by the weight of my thoughts, this was the breath of fresh air I desperately needed.
As I progressed through the levels, something amazing started to happen. Slowly, my depression began to lift. The more I played, the more I immersed myself in the playful, adventurous spirit of the game. I was reminded of how much I had once loved to play—how much I used to enjoy getting lost in fictional worlds. I remembered that life didn’t have to be all about obligations, deadlines, and constant pressure. There was room for exploration, for joy, and for the kind of light-hearted fun I had forgotten.
The puzzles in *LEGO Indiana Jones* weren’t just about collecting LEGO bricks—they were a reminder that life is about piecing things together. I didn’t have to solve everything all at once. Like in the game, life required patience, persistence, and sometimes a little bit of trial and error. The game’s gentle humor also helped me learn not to take myself too seriously. Whenever Indy or his companions would do something absurd or get knocked down, the game would play it for laughs. It was as if the game was telling me, “It’s okay to stumble. It’s okay to laugh at yourself. You don’t have to be perfect.”
The way the game seamlessly blended action with puzzle-solving helped me rediscover my problem-solving abilities. Each challenge, whether it was using a whip to swing across a chasm or building a contraption out of LEGO blocks, gave me a sense of accomplishment. I began to feel a renewed sense of competence—something I had lost sight of during my depression. It reminded me that I was capable of overcoming obstacles, that I could still rise to the occasion, even if it took a few tries.
As I spent more time in the world of *LEGO Indiana Jones*, I noticed that I started to engage with the world around me more. I began to see things differently—more playfully, more curiously. I found myself appreciating the small joys in life again: a good cup of coffee, a sunny day, or even just a quiet moment with a book. The game had reignited a sense of wonder in me that I had thought was gone forever. It had become more than just a distraction; it had become a source of inspiration.
The characters in *LEGO Indiana Jones* also became a source of strength for me. Indy, with his rugged determination, his cleverness, and his resilience, reminded me that I, too, could face challenges and come out stronger. Even the supporting characters, like the quirky allies and sometimes hapless sidekicks, showed me that I didn’t have to do everything alone. I could rely on others, and sometimes, it was okay to be a little imperfect. The game’s emphasis on teamwork and camaraderie gave me the strength to open up to my friends and family again. I didn’t have to isolate myself. I could lean on the people who cared about me.
There was a particular moment in the game that stood out to me. It was during one of the later levels, where Indy had to face off against a powerful enemy, navigating a labyrinthine temple. The puzzles grew more complex, and the stakes were higher. But instead of feeling overwhelmed, I embraced the challenge. I knew that no matter how many times I failed, I could pick myself up and try again. It wasn’t about getting everything right—it was about enjoying the journey. That realization hit me hard, and for the first time in a long while, I let go of the constant need to be perfect. I allowed myself to make mistakes, to fail, and to laugh at myself. It was liberating.
After weeks of playing, I had transformed. I wasn’t just someone mindlessly passing the time anymore. *LEGO Indiana Jones* had given me the tools to confront my depression with a new perspective. It had taught me that joy could be found in the simplest of things, and that taking life one step at a time was okay. I wasn’t broken; I was on an adventure—a journey that was just beginning.
By the time I had completed the game, I felt lighter. The cloud of depression that had loomed over me for so long had lifted. The experience wasn’t just about playing a game; it was about rediscovering joy, learning to laugh at myself, and realizing that life—just like *LEGO Indiana Jones*—was an adventure that I could face, one challenge at a time.
*LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures* didn’t just cure my depression—it taught me that even in the darkest moments, there’s always room for adventure, laughter, and a bit of light-hearted fun. And for that, I’ll be forever grateful.

cool game
I start up the game, and it’s like I'm instantly thrown back to a Friday afternoon playing on my PS2—nostalgia overload, nothing hits harder than this...
just started playing this to relive my childhood and remember it being (along with the other old lego games) very fun and creative. just please turn on v-sync before you play; it will save you a lot of frustration about not being able to jump and consequentially dying and losing coins 8)
thank you to this forum for the solution <3
Indiana Jones is cool
I loved the game! It's a shame there are no achievements, but the game is very good. The Indiana Jones LEGO game offers a fun, action-packed experience full of creative puzzles and exciting challenges. The possibility of exploring iconic scenarios from the Indiana Jones franchise recreated in LEGO blocks brings a unique charm to the game. The cooperative gameplay and mix of humor and adventure make the game a great choice for fans of all ages. It was really worth playing this game! It's an unforgettable game that I will never forget.
As much as I loved playing this on the wii as a kid, it's unplayable depending on your computer. I think some of the physics is tied to framerate or something but you can't even jump off of most platforms. First level was a slog and the second level isn't beatable. I'm sad but it is what it is- play it on the old consoles if you want to relive the experience.
This is quite literally the game of my childhood, so I went through and 100% it. Quite worth it.
