this game is absolutely fun to play with your friends, and i have played this game for more than 6 years then this stuff never make me bored lol.
It's good.
I always kill the civilians
this is the best game ever
Holy shit???? This is infinitely more fun than payday 3, heists are actually challenging and overkill isnt a complete joke that you can breeze through even if you go down like 50 times in a row.
Surprisingly solid game, maybe not for everyone but for the price you can get it on sale it’s worth checking out.
Haven’t played much multiplayer so can’t speak for that but even solo isn’t bad.
Objectively not a great game in today’s standard but still fun to play once in a while or with friends.
Easily the best "Payday" Experience
Payday: The Heist is a true cooperative challenge for you and your group. Without the overpowered mechanics and bloated, power-crept arsenal of the future games, PDTH forces you and your crew to rely solely on your own communication and skillsets.
My go-to cooperative game when I'm looking for a fun and engaging challenge with friends, and if Payday 3 ever goes offline this is the game I will return to.
Payday shines in its ability to create intense, adrenaline-pumping moments with friends. The cooperative gameplay fosters teamwork and creativity, as players adapt their strategies in the heat of the action. The level of customization—both in character builds and weapons—adds depth and replayability. Plus, the game keeps things fresh with its variety of heists and dynamic AI, ensuring no two runs feel the same. It's chaotic, thrilling, and ridiculously satisfying when a plan comes together (or falls apart in spectacular fashion). Perfect for fans of organized mayhem!
one of the better games I've played with friends
It's a rough diamond, but damn if it isn't still a brilliant one underneath the rough edges. Peak CoOp gaming right here.
it's very good but you need to play with friends on any difficulty higher than normal or else the terrible ai will hold you back immensely
I don't know why i didn't write this after 160 hours but this game is awesome
This is a neutral review.
Payday has a very original concept which made it become a very popular game. The idea of allowing the players to experience making heists of all kinds is original, thrilling.
However, something you notice as soon as you start playing is the following - this is almost exclusively a multiplayer game.
You have something like 9 maps avaiable, and only 2 ( max 3 ) of them you can do by yourself. On normal difficulty. The rest are too hard for singleplayer.
Ok, I can accept that. This is a cooperation focused multiplayer game. I like multiplayer games.
But the thing that I didn't like is that in this game you really depend on other players to finish heists/maps.
In what way? Almost all maps are very challenging. Every couple of minutes hordes of police man come at your way. You have very little health and ammo, and they implemented an obnoxious way of recovering it (example - you recover some little ammo from dead bodies and from the only ammo bag you can carry).
This game has a very long leveling up hierarchy. When you start playing you are very weak.
You basically have to rely on veterans to "boost you" = help you finish heists.
You have to grind and grind maps because with each level up you are stronger in the attributes ( more precision, more health etc....) and you get better weapons. There are 145 character level ups in the base game, and 195 if you have the DLC! That gives you an idea of the basic concept of the game - just play all the maps over and over until you are strong enough to beat them without the help of veterans.
So, on one side I had good fun playing this game. Basically my experience was - when I was in a group with veterans, I successfully completed the maps. When I was in a random group with people of my level, we lost.
Yeah, the game is adrenalinic, but also repetitive. I had the most fun when I drank some alchohol while playing. The graphics is very outdated. The story is non-existent.
Once you beat all the maps both on normal and on hard there is nothing to do.
Also I didn't like that you have to memorize the maps perfectly and the sequence of things you have to do in order to beat the maps. There is little margin for error. Once again, this is a very "elitistic" game, not very user friendly for the newcommers.
This game is clearly targeted for groups of real life friends to play together. But in 2024 there is little motive to buy this and not Payday 2.
7.5 out of 10.
you can technically play this game while riding a bike
Love this game a lot
the first day, is a pay
Its payday fellas
The game that cemented the start of the Payday franchise. A grounded and serious approach to a heist game. 9 heists, up to a 4 player co-op, 4 heisters with unique skill trees that give different benefits, stealth is very limited and useful only up to a point in heists. The main focus of combat is centered around full frontal assault. The enemy police units are tough no matter the difficulty so teamwork becomes an essential part of survival, along with taking cover when possible and making space with your kills so you don't get cornered. Playing solo, offline and/or with team ai is also an option although the game becomes way more challenging. You have weapons that pack a punch and can be upgraded, deployable equipment that helps you in your heists and last but not least an amazing soundtrack. I recommend it. Definitely a fun and fresh experience and a way to see how the series started firsthand.
Хорошая первая часть
the police has aimbot and you only get about 100 bullets per mission
its good

Best payday
Don't pay 120+ bucks in dlcs to play the game.
I CAN BE OBAMA!!!
Pros
+ Intense cooperative action: Payday: The Heist delivers a thrilling cooperative experience where teamwork and strategy are essential to survive and succeed in high-stakes heists.
+ Variety of heists: The game offers a decent selection of diverse heist scenarios, each with unique objectives and challenges, keeping the gameplay fresh.
+ Adrenaline-pumping gameplay: The constant threat of overwhelming police forces and the need for quick thinking and precise execution create a tense and exciting atmosphere.
+ Satisfying progression system: Leveling up and unlocking new weapons and skills provides a sense of accomplishment and allows players to customize their playstyle.
Cons
- Repetitive gameplay loop: While the heists themselves are varied, the core gameplay loop of shooting cops and completing objectives can become repetitive over time.
- Limited enemy variety: You'll mostly face off against standard police units, with a few special enemy types thrown in. This can lead to a lack of challenge and tactical diversity.
- Dated graphics and sound: Being an older title, Payday: The Heist shows its age in terms of visual fidelity and audio design.
- Occasional glitches and bugs: Some players have reported encountering technical issues that can detract from the overall experience.
- Lack of content compared to Payday 2: Its sequel, Payday 2, significantly expanded upon the formula with more heists, weapons, customization options, and overall content, making The Heist feel somewhat barebones in comparison.
- Difficulty spikes: The difficulty can fluctuate dramatically, with some heists or difficulty levels presenting a steep challenge even for experienced players.
- Smaller community: The game's age and the popularity of Payday 2 have resulted in a smaller online community, which can make it harder to find cooperative partners.
💥💰 *"The Fast & the Furious... but with more bad decisions"* 💰💥
So, you ever dream of being in a **Hollywood heist movie**, except you’re not a smooth criminal like George Clooney, but more like... well, a gang of headless chickens running around with guns? Welcome to *Payday: The Heist*.
It’s like the devs said, “Let’s take four people, give them masks, a vague plan, and a bunch of enemies who are about as smart as a doorbell.” Every heist starts with a plan, but trust me, it devolves into this:
🎯 Step 1: Shoot.
🎯 Step 2: Shout at hostages like they're misbehaving kids.
🎯 Step 3: Scream, “GUYS! I’M DOWN!”
🎯 Step 4: Try to fix the drill for the 43rd time.
🎯 Step 5: Panic. Run around like squirrels on caffeine.
Also, I’m pretty sure that drill was made in a **garage** by some guy named “Rusty.” It jams more often than a ‘90s boy band, and by the time you’re through the vault door, the cops have had time to form a conga line around the building.
Cops? Oh yeah, they're everywhere, and they have the SWAT team, FBI, and probably your **disappointed grandmother** coming after you. But don’t worry, you’ve got a plan! Oh wait, you didn’t? Well, time to improvise!
Pros:
🔫 Unparalleled chaos simulator.
🎭 You get to wear a clown mask and feel *cool*.
🏃♂️ Cardio! Because you're gonna be running a LOT.
Cons:
🔧 Drill manufacturer needs to be sued.
👮♂️ Cops have spidey senses and jetpacks, apparently.
💀 Getting downed is basically a new hobby.
Overall: 10/10, would fix the drill mid-shootout again. Just don’t ask me to split the loot. I earned every dollar fixing that damn thing.
Good Old PayDay Gang, Solving problems like Old Schools!
Despite the Fact that new modern Payday 3 is already 1 year old, this game is better in any aspect of its Legacy parts!
***Mid campaign, will update review when game is completed***
Overall: B-(8/10)

A couple incorrect key bindings (crouch and activate/use button)—easy 5 second fix
~8 hrs with video settings maxed
i saw a dead guy while playing this game when i was like 14 or 15, some guy shot himself in my backyard when i was playing a mission and my sister told me she saw something by the bench so i grabbed a pair of binoculars and saw a man laying there with his eyes open and blood surrounding him in the snow. thats all i think about whenever I see this game.
This game was working just fine the first time I played yesterday, and now there is some bug with the keybindings.
quality over quantity
One of the most Enjoyable games i have played of late, unexpected gem
Payday: The Heist** is a cooperative first-person shooter that puts players in the shoes of professional criminals pulling off a variety of high-stakes heists. Developed by Overkill Software, it offers fast-paced, intense gameplay with a focus on teamwork and strategy. Here’s a short breakdown of its key aspects:
**Gameplay**
--------------------
- **Heist Missions:** The game revolves around six unique heists, ranging from bank robberies to prison breakouts. Each mission feels distinct, with objectives that can change based on how the players perform.
- **Co-op Multiplayer:** Payday is best enjoyed with friends, as teamwork is essential for managing hostages, cracking safes, and fighting off waves of police forces. Solo players are supported by AI teammates, but they lack the strategic depth and coordination of human partners.
- **Dynamic Events:** No heist plays out exactly the same way twice. The game features random events like security camera placements, police attack points, and the behavior of NPCs, adding a layer of unpredictability.
- **Combat and Shooting Mechanics:** The gunplay is solid, though not as polished as more modern shooters. However, the variety of weapons and gadgets keeps the combat engaging.
- **Progression:** Players earn money and experience points to unlock better weapons, equipment, and skills, adding a satisfying progression loop to the game.
**Pros:**
------------
- Intense and engaging heist scenarios.
- Strong emphasis on teamwork and coordination.
- Dynamic mission structure keeps gameplay fresh.
**Cons:**
----------------
- AI teammates can feel lackluster compared to playing with real players.
- Limited mission variety (only six heists at launch).
**Verdict:**
---------------------------
*Payday: The Heist* is a fun, adrenaline-pumping game that shines when played with a group. While it has some dated mechanics and limited mission selection, its cooperative design and dynamic scenarios make it a thrilling experience for fans of team-based shooters.
ahhh i need a medic bag
Better than the other 2
Most realistic game ever... you fix a drill at least 100 times, break into the vault, bag the money and then leave the money in the vault and leave. What could be better than that? But no all BS aside its a fun game but not as fun as Payday 2 and 3.
real
There only 17 people ONLINE WORLDWIDE
Buen juego pero lo único malo es que Dallas no muestra su pilín
Great game. The gameplay definitely feels dated, but it's very enjoyable nonetheless. A lot different than Payday 2 and even Payday 3. Definitely worth giving a shot if it's on discount.
More polished and better feel than the sequels but it gets repetitive after a while (same dialogue, no variation in objectives). It'd be cool if it had an AI director like L4D did. Upgrades also take a while to get. Overall pretty fun.
a wonderful humbling beginnings to the franchise, sad to see where we ended up now with PD3
This shit is impossible hard.
Can't finish 1st mission on easy.
BETTER TAHN PAYDAY 2
this game "payday the heist" or also known as payday 4 is very good, better than its predecesor payday 3 in every aspect
It's such a great game! I loved the DLC with No Mercy Hospital that was mind blown right there !
I do not like the second one at all
This game doesn't have DSOD so it is automatically a 10/10
Cloaker kicks you so hard the game crashes.
