Fairly realistic controls and reasonable (if a bit basic) graphics. Looking forward to downloading all the extra routes and engines.

Only reason I bought this game: M O D S (No trains from my country 😔)

DLC's are OK, But only for beefy wallets though.

This is an unplayable piece of trash. You cannot create or edit anything without repeated crashing. Whats the point of a custom route builder if it doesnt work

I played this game for years an I liked the bullt trains and steams engine trains

ok so first of all the game is nothing without dlc there is few routes and train and thats it and all of them are pretty short and i dont know if its like this real life but tilting feature of voyager is broken for example when it tilts to left it keep tilting left regardless of what corner so when going on right hand bend it keep tilting left even tho its supposed tilt right same thing happens if its right hand bend then will be stuck for while if go from right to left the tilt doesnt respond properly but also 80% of the buttons dont work or function and this includes some basics buttons depending train like on voyager open and close door button dont work so do many other and also dlc are not cheap however the game is well optimized tho runs great on pc with intergrated graphics all tho would depend how good ur cpu is and also just to buy all the necessery dlc for one route like loco and routes etc would cost more then game it self and yes routes and train u have to buy seperate and if u bought train for thameslink u would also need route wich all together cost more then game
and there are other dlc that also cost more then game its self this worst then EA like the greed level of dovetail will make EA look less greedy

this is a very old game, many crash occurs when playing it..better buy newer game

very fun and playful

The game is literally unplayable due to the buggy alerter - and, when I checked the community hub, I found that people are claimimg this bug for years, but nothing was done.

You drive a scenario, then suddenly the alerter triggers on - even if you manipulated other controls a few seconds ago. You try to reset it - press Q, or click the UI button - but it only goes off for about 0.3 seconds and triggers on again and again. Few more seconds - and emergency braking destroys your score.
You restart the scenario but it happens again and again.

Total disappointment.

Other things that ruin the game:
- 'uncatchable' joints - for some locomotives, you need to find and 'catch' a single pixel on your screen that initiates coupling your locomotive with another loco or rollong stock;
- non-intuitive system to switch views between parts of a train;
- Sloooow switching between Windows tasks: some alert arises in another Windows process, and it takes 10+ seconds to switch back to the game.
- messages from a dispatcher that cover the center of screen while you drive at full speed - I understand that the scenarios are written in a way that gives you time to read an react, but this is really uncomfortable! Voice messages plus text NOT in center would be much better.

Otherwise, it would be a game with good graphics, quite informative about how railroads work.

Great game, great routes and great trains, though the sound effects aren't the greatest! I recommend on getting the game.

game is great. the simple control option is really take me back to the Microsoft Train Simulator era, which is good

Dovetail absolutely knows what they are fucking doing by holding the record FOR THE MOST EXPENSIVE DLC COLLECTION ON STEAM TOTALING AT OVER TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS WHEN COUNTING ALL DLCS LISTED. NOT EVEN PARADOX OR ANY MICRO-TRANSACTION INFESTED AAA SLOP COMES EVEN CLOSE TO THIS ABOMINATION

Is a relatively meh game overall, nothing to write home about, but the way I can summarize it is the Autistic Devil waving shiny keys infront of your face, specifically the ones to your local railroad that YOU could be driving yourself if you pay only a wee sum of $40 for, but then it tempts you with more routes, more locomotives, UNTIL YOU REALIZE YOU SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON SATISFYING YOUR AUTISTIC CRAVINGS. You very likely will sacrifice your mortal soul just to pay for your thousands of dollars in credit card debt racked up from mass-buying all the DLC you can get with this abomination of a game, be warned.

the optimization is poor on this game, game needs to be a tiny bit realistic, this game need some improved optimization on this game

this game needs a remaster. the graphics are one thing, but issue is, cab signals are innaccurate and **doesnt show what the speed restriction is** , so ATC randomly triggers. you can play without safety features on but that removes the fun. i dont care for nostalgia, TSW is better, it would be better if they just merged games.

this is so good that if you play it or stream it
you can drive any trains if you install it like dover to ramsgate

Love the Sim Just wished Dovetail would put some effort in solving the errors.

The realism is off the charts. True railroading and very challenging scenarios!

too many freakin' DLC packs and too little content in the base game

needs a lot more routes/trains from different countries like from nordic countries you never see those in train simulators but still a ok game

Really LOVE this game brought this game yesterday and I LOVE it

It's not a terrible game, by all means. There may be a few glitches/bugs, but this depends on the scenario/train that you're using. Just bare in mind that you need to read the reviews before purchasing any addons. If the 64 bit version does not work with your PC, try doing the 32 bit version. Don't bother purchasing all of the DLC.

Good train game just that some trains are overpriced and the graphics need to be better

1. get to pollute the great air of train simulator classic
2. get to break the laws of physics and time travel
3. get to travel at light speed to do Number 2 on the list.

10/10.

It was the best train simulator for over a decade, over passed by TSW which is much better but this one improving as well and the amount of DLCs is crazy big.
If you completely new I would recommend going for Trains Sim World

I've only played this game a few hours but it is unlike any other game as far as creating. Endless hours between creating and just driving. LOVE IT!

For any train lovers there, I 100% recommend to play this game. its one of my favourite games

Although this game is quite old, it is still good if you are more into simulation and physics of the train then realistic graphics. In my opinion, its a decent game but I'm sure it can do with a good optimising even for high end devices.

A very good train simulation game, has great DLCs. Only if it had Indian Locos and routes.

The game is alright, the only thing i dont really like is that you dont get much with the base game so DLCs are needed for alot of gameplay, in general it is nice though

a super immersive experience for the mild and hardcore railway enthusiast, with lots of routes and locomotives to choose from (provided you buy the DLCs....) but other than that it's a great buy.

Great train simulator runs fine even on my slow laptop very relaxing as well

The game is so bad at views…… What dovetail is only working on DLC not fixxing bugs, maybe you should try TSW5

wonder if anyone or moderators can create the legendary Eagle Mountain railway branchline owned by Southern Pacific railroad co. [situated from Ferrum, Ca. beside Salton Sea directly towards the Eagle Mountain township and facilities] since the tracks were up-rooted and scrapped (though in google maps default, rail-path is present)

Not as good graphicaly as TSW5 but has much better systems to play including built in custom route and senario designers. You need to fiddle around with graphic setting to optimise your gameplay for your pc setup but thats not too bad. Be mindful not to adjust your display aspect to a setting not supported by your graphics and monitor as you will not see the game interface and have to restart the game in safe mode to readjust the settings which can be fun.

Overeall i like the game.

Not to Shabby. Back in 2009, I had Pro Trains Plus when I was in Germany. Even though that was fun at the time. I do remember it was more of you had to dive deep into the train world I felt to play the game. Which wasn't bad. But it was more of thinking ahead rather than driving the train. Or at least that's how I remember it to be. But this is not the case with Trains Sim 24. Right now I have just completed the optional Tutorials of operations of the trains and all the surrounding area that you may need to know. Again this is optional. Graphics are plush, not to over baring. At time of this review. There is so much DLC for this content. I'm liking what I see. As of today, I caught this while it was on sale, while I don't say this often. I would have paid full price for this game. It's very nice and easy to navigate around. Go job on this.
