Thank you for this wonderful childhood, after many years, this game never ceases to amaze, I'm still playing in 2024 and will continue to play always. There are very few bugs in this game, unlike the current Counter-Strike 2. Nice community on the servers, haven’t met any cheaters yet. 10/10

Counter Strike: Source tiene una historia interesante, se quedó en un limbo entre los juegso viejos y entre el todo aclamado CS:GO. ¿Considero que esto es malo? En lo absoluto, no creo que sea malo, en cierto modo creo que le dota de cierta personalidad que tal vez no lo haga destacar, pero sí distinguirse del resto de alguna forma.
Creo que CS:S es un buen juego, nada más, nada menos (además, lo necesitas para que te jale bien el Garry's Mod, no seas tacaño).

started playing again sense high school back in the early 2000's still has the same nostalgia and one deags. unfortunatly most of the servers are dead but the ones that are up have very loyal players.

Its a really good game (i would say better than any cs) but for me it can be different for others its really boring

Where it all started....
This game has started something big when it first released to the public putting the basic fundamentals of terrorists facing the counter-Terrorist Forces. Where the very simplistic rules of the terrorists placing the bomb on specific sites "A" or "B" Site. While the rules are simple the way to play the game is not. Where you have to not only perfect your movement in the game but making sure that your aim is spot on to ensure precise shooting. Whether it may be on "Casual" mode or if you are feeling up to it you go on "Competitive" where you are faced with equal or better teams. Where you have to communicate with your team and use your tactics in First Person POV. To obtain the victory of the match and win. Each match is about 13 rounds or if you tie to a 12v12 round. I remember when this first came out and loved this game and the sounds of this is still Nastalga to me. Where all of the animations have not changed nor do I ever hope that they do. This game is simplisticly created in the way that makes it absolutely perfect and no other game I think can compare to Counter Strike itself. Sure there is Valorant, but lets be honest that's a washed up version of CS and Over-watch.

Just reminds me of the time playing CS: Source back in 1999. I just love the mechanics of the game and the smooth frame rates! The game is over 25 years old and still going strong!

Kind of a hot take, especially for someone as young as me, but this game is where counter strike peaked. The movement is so fluid and the guns feels so responsive. I just love this game to death and I wish that I had more of a reason to play it. Source movement is like peak anything and this game perfected it.

Still one of the best 1st person shooters ever made. This is pretty much the only game I play on PC. I'm still playing it after 20 years. Buy it!

Amazingly fun and imo the best of the six or so Counter-Strike games. Purchase, hop on a team deathmatch server and have a frickin ball dude. Most fun game I've played in a while. The bhopping is super fun too. The bhopping on source is challenging enough to pose a challenge while also being somewhat forgiving. Thanks Valve.

"Counter Strike: Source" is a game that I have played since I was on a local server at my high school, playing on my laptop with my friends and all of our screens would be facing away from the teacher. Fortunately, if the teacher walked to the back of the class, we would ALL need to stop playing so it wasn't unfair.

It is difficult to grip the speed of play but being aggressive is necessary and it is hard to actually detach enough to play adequately as well. Watching yourself die over and over is not fun, but it does imply the clutch that the game has over you, with the other players included, where you might not be able to survive at all. My best tip would be, "Just be SUPER AGGRESSIVE and run ahead, play ahead, and don't forget to shoot." Aiming for a head shot is one thing, but getting a kill streak is so satisfying it gets you addicted.

probably the best counter-strike game in the series, upgrades the original, is better than cscz's multiplayer and singleplayer, and is more nostalgic than cs:go or cs2.

A wonderful game of its time! Updated maps, new features and much more have become an integral part of the CS Source era. Even today I play this masterpiece with great interest. Nostalgia will always be with this game. Thanks to the developer for an incredible experience.

I really appreciate this game, it fits both for newbies and for players who have solid skills.

The fact this game is old makes retro gaming easier (if you want to play really retro, try out the Golden Engine version), but also Source Engine is enhancing a bunch of things, as for the quality, fluidity, and so on.

The only downsides of this game could be the semi-innacurate hitboxes, the odd behaviour of the bots, and the lack of players... But this is forgivable!

There is also a ton of reasons to prefer this over CS2 or CSGO, you don't need to pay for lobbies blah blah. It's like those games, but not bloated of meaningless stuff.

Overall, 9/10, even if old, my favorite FPS game!

Very good game. there is sometimes problems with online but other than that it is perfect.
it is also nice that there are still mods for this game. 10/10

This game still holds a place in my heart even after so many years. I used to play this game when i was much smaller for which I got really good at CS:GO. Whenever I dont feel like playing CS2 these days I always come back to this game for comfort. This also gives me a good warmup because the bots in this game are mad overpowered on expert difficulty.

The memories of playing custom AWP maps and zombie mode servers day after day in my old account as a child... This game is priceless. Forget about the debate between this and 1.6. They are both timeless masterpieces. I still occasionally come back to this just because of how fun bunny hopping is.

Joining a community server is either like joining a game of people fully high on crack who are outright good at the game or most people spraying 18+ stuff like anime feet or milkers while screaming at eachother at full volume.

8/10 I love this total sh#tfest of a game

very smooth surfing hundred times better than cs2 maybe the prestrafe takes a little longer but otherwise much better

Personal review:

This game is surprisingly good. it has everything: guns, load-outs, graphics... community... don't check there, now that I think about it. Anyways, it also has maps, gamemodes, and more! There is one problem, though... there is no chicken, but nonetheless, it's a great game!

this is a really good game. the tension of going around a corner or staying somewhere waiting for someone to show up is really good. whenever there is a sniper on the counter terrorists, it always scares me where they might be. 10/10

For its age, it's a very good game, the servers are live and there are achievements, which adds interest to playing with friends)

This game is possibly the best PC fps I've ever played. Idk why it says 25 hours, I literally played Cal-I back in like 2009. Peak FPS action here. AND oldschool now.

Game is pretty fun I remember playing it in middle school on our school labtops with zombies. The online community is still alive and the people playing are really funny and "FIRE IN THE HOLE" ear blasting is annoying but funny
