Great game, movement and combat feels nice. Excellent story too
A great game held back by some truly fustrating design choices such as:
Early game can be a nightmare, due to strong enemies and very little in Gabriel's options for combat at the start
NPC's constantly chiming in with comments when your trying to concentrate , looking at you Claudia, yes i know i need more shards i dont need to be told 15+ times in a row
Quick time event failures are either a little heal for the enemies and a chance to try again, or instant death there is little distinction between the two
platforming works for the most part but sometimes it get fustrating or the controls will send you flying in the wrong direction into bottomless pits which also either send you back to the last checkpoint with a little damage or be instant death, again with very little distinction
Sorry for the negatives in this review but I need to vent them out as otherwise this is a soild and enjoyable game with great art direction, fun combat and amazing voice acting from the entire cast. get this game if you want a brilliant PC port of a great game
Looking forward to play Lords of shadow 2 and i hope that they improve upon the great foundation set here
this game has an AWFUL start, with poor combat segments and a terrible tutorial, i swear to god it was missing so little for me to uninstalling it and never touch it again, but i insisted.
i insisted because the soundtrack was good and relaxing. an beautil opera was touching my ears while some pretty damn good landscapes were introduced to my eyes, it was kinda astonish. the art direction is amazing, and combined with those epic/melancholic tracks brings to the game a feeling of... journey, adventure. and despite the poor combat at the beginning, i was envolved. and so on, i played throught the entire campaing and i have to say: the history is mediocre. but the JOURNEY itself, all the challenges that Gabriel faces, all those beautiful moments, it was worth it. and the combat itself was getting better and better, while i was getting used to it and its limitations.
definitely not a GREAT game, but for me, a solid experience.
One of the best old school games wish they made a 3 one on the newer gen consoles or pc
What a blast from the past! This game still looks awesome and now using WeMod for cheat mods I can finally defeat the Crow Witch!
I bought this game for the PC, but I have also beat it on all levels, and did all the extras and such. I love this game. To the people are whining and crying about the game and such, you're just that, complete whiners. Sorry you're not up the challenge of a great game with a good challenge.
What kind of ass backwards game is released without the option to start a New Game and erase progress? Pathetic!
I don't have much experience with Castlevania's other forays into 3D. I couldn't tell you if this is better or worse than those. It definitely lacks any charm that made the original games worth playing.
Instead what we have is a feeble attempt at recreating the spectacle that was God of War's combat. With some shadow of the colossus thrown in.
With no identity of its own, a lackluster story, and a terrible camera, I had a really hard time forcing myself to play this, instead of just playing one of the games it unsuccessfully attempts to rip off.
If it was not on sale for less than 10 dollars I wouldn't have even given it a try.
Fuck this stupid game. I wanted to like it and tried for several years to get past its annoying fucking bullshit.
Do you like cute little boss puzzles? Quick press a button! Oh, you missed? Get ready for 20 more minutes of fake ass GoW combat.
Its like the old god of war games with a dash of DMC. Quick time events, button mashing finishers, and some super large sized gimmick fights like shadow of the colossus. Lot of climbing sections just like uncharted where the ledges are covered in come.
Music, Voice acting, characters, and monsters are all really cool. The notebook and art for it are awesome as well. Got it for like 6$ so im pretty happy mashing my way through it as a pretty big castlevania fan.
6/10 - Good.
Pretty damn good slasher, sure it's not standing even close to Bayonetta and DMC in terms of slashing, people that made it put their hearth into the project.
Gameplay wise this game is a slasher with some puzzles and platforming in between. Although protagonist got only one main weapon, relics that he will gather through his story will expaned his arsenal more than enough. The worst part is camera, durring the fights it will make you uncofortable quite often, enemies attacking you from blind spots, camera tracking an enemy you don't want to fight. In platfroming you will have to wait the camera sometimes, otherwise you might move in a wrong direction.
Visually the game is gorgeous (considering it's release in 2010), every level is througly designed and built, given you huge variation of locations, from simple 15th century village to fantastic Necromancers Abyss. Enemies also well designed (with some exceptions) and well animated.
The most intresting part of the game is the story and incredible cliffhanger for a sequel.
Music - considering that I remembered one track (Belmont's theme) for over a decade, I would say its great.
Sounds - Id say its decent, can't say it was good, definitely on bad. None of them were scraching my ear in a good or bad way, except often growlings of the protagonist durring platforming sections.
All in all, a solid project.
This game is as good as when it just released. Everyone who says the controls are the problem just means they are the problem. The game is super easy to control, combat is fun. Very similar to castlevania lament of innocence.
Great game. Good voice acting, tank camera controls but other than that the story and action parts take you back to early playstation days. I highly recommend this game for those who enjoy action platformers.
I expected more of a traditional adventure game but it's very much not that. It's sort of a Souls-like/spectacle fighter mash-up and personally I found it *SUPER* counter-intuitive and unfun to play but I realise my experience won't be universal.
Going in I was expecting to be playing as dracula, which I'm slightly disappointed about. I did not expect to be playing as the FIRST belmont, which is insanely cool. (If I'm understanding the story right)
Anyways, the gameplay itself is literally any of those old xbox promotional games of movies, like cloudy with a chance of meatballs or kung fu panda, but if you combined it with dark souls and castlevania. So excited to keep playing this and check out the other games, 100% worth a grab on sale.
B-tier oldie but it works perfectly on modern hardware in UHD resolutions and 144fps without any hassle. for that i give it thumbs up.
Funny that that's something you can only dream of with GTA IV and other big titles, which need mods and .ini tweaks to do the same.
Mirror of Fate was a fantastic idea but this one is a total mess. Not polished, disgusting controls/camera and basic fights made me quit on Chapter 4. Giving negative review shatters my heart however couldn't tolerate much more even its "the Castlevania".
Underrated gem. Great story, voice acting and stunning soundtrack with a unique spin on traditional gameplay in the series.
This is a game I've played before, though not since its' initial release over a decade ago and the DLC was entirely new to me. For the positive I have to say the game still looks stunning and the environments are great. The vampire castle in particular is the game's standout location. The combat is also perfectly serviceable. It's your standard GoW clone that was so popular at that time, though it was definitely one of the better ones from what I recall. I also really enjoyed the puzzles and was glad at their inclusion.
For the negative I really did not care for the platforming sections of the game or the climbing sections which is unfortunate as their are a lot. The game isn't really built for precision jumping and it shows. A lot of the climbing feels like it was meant to ape Shadow of the Colossus which is even more apparent when the included at least 3 bosses the are fought in the exact same manner as the Colossi. The were easily the least interesting boss encounter's in the game. Another thing I really didn't care for which date this game pretty hard is the over-reliance on QTE's. It's really just a relic from that time period of gaming, especially in this genre, but I didn't care for it then and care for it even less now. On a final note the 2nd of the two DLCs is really god awful and really put a bad taste in my mouth after mostly enjoying the rest of the game. It consists of forced stealth sections and probably the worst designed boss I've ever encountered in a game like this.
For the most part I'd recommend this game as I did enjoy most of my time with it, but definitely skip the 2nd DLC.
This is VERY LATE to the party, but better late than never, I guess.
Good game - mechanics feel dated though. I played this on the PS3 originally. Playing in 2024, and some of it is great. Coming back to the parries after years of that being the norm (for Souls games)...feels super generous.
Some things though, from the puzzles to some of the boss mechanics (the end boss and the rings with the dark and light...GRRRRRR!!! Very annoying). It's a game of the period though, which means, those mechanics are what was prevalent at the time, so... hard to stay annoyed with it for too long (I brought the pain on myself by playing it).
As for the story - amazing. Super well done. Voice acting is brilliant. Visuals are very good overall. It's pretty hilarious playing this on 4070...there's like no load time at all. Everything is instant.
While its good - for 2024 I'd only give this 8/10. It's lost its shine. Still great, but...it was 9/10 easy in 2010. Definitely one to experience. This was golden era Konami. You are in for a treat playing this!
I didn't have any bugs on my rig. That said, I played this on my desktop because when I tried to play on my steamdeck, I had no audio at all. I hear its a glitch on my system, but...its a glitch I had. Anyway, on my desktop it was flawless. No glitches.
Not for retro Castlevania fans looking for the old action formula but this is more a Zelda game with puzzles.
It was more than expected!
**Disclaimer**
The playtime in record is not correct. I left the game running in the background while I had other tasks to complete and due to frustration breaks with DLC. If you want a correct estimate, it took me around 16 hours for base game completion, plus another 8 for replay in platinum + trials. DLC took me around 8 hours base completion and around 6 hours with platinum+trials
**Quick Review**
Lords of Shadow base game: 8/10
Honestly, a good game. Good story, good progression and good replay value. Once you unlock everything replaying levels go by quicker and fighting with all combos unlocks makes you feel powerful as a true Knight of the Brotherhood.
There are some slight hiccups here and there with camera but the game-play itself is fun. It is a mixture of Prince of Persia, Assassins's Creed and God of War. Might be overstating, but the combination of game-play is very well implemented and the platform sections of the game are short and sweet.
Graphics and music are 10/10 for me judging for their time of release, it holds up well in 2024
Overall the base game is a great Castlevania game and it is definitely worth playing if you are a fan of the series/
Lords of Shadow DLC: -100/100
The DLC was rushed and it shows. The platforming can get frustrating and the boss fights are just a pain in the ass. Whoever thought of implementing air fighting in a game where you can't dodge in air is just an evil a-hole. This alone ruins the potential of the DLC for me making it totally worthless.
MercurySteam has confirmed the DLC was a mistake, so you don't have to take my word for it. They had a great opportunity to explore story behind the plot twist in the end but they decided to rush a piece of trash instead, probably to get more money. This is sad because they really did a great job with the base game and should've pour that same love into the DLCs.
There are no 3D cinematics in the DLC only rush drawn animatics which kill the mood to be honest. The platform just plain boring and punishing and the boss fight well, as mentioned above, seem to just be there to make you hate life and waste time your time so you feel there is more of the original game to complete.
I am aware that you get all the LOS content in the Ultimate Edition, which include the DLCs but honestly, once you finish the base game, skip it. Not worth anyone's time. I would not pay full price for this edition, only because the devs should pay you money to even install the trash that are the DLCs.
TLDR - Base game worth the money and time. DLC is a rushed, frustrating product that ruins the brilliance of the first original game, it's just trash.
Warning: do not purchase this if you use m&k. Game is impossible to beat unless you have a gamepad. Stuck at the titan where there a a certain qte that can’t be done on keyboard. I looked guides online but it doesn’t work, horrible game design, horrible port. Hope I get a refund.
This game is a huge departure from what made Castlevania so good. Skip this one, and go get one of the traditional Castlevania collections instead.
The good? Great voice acting, extremely beautiful environments, good music, and a fair story.
The bad? Well, everything else. My number one gripe is the fixed camera. As you navigate through the levels, the camera arbitarily positions itself. You have no control over it whatsoever. As a result exploring the levels, or pitching the camera to get an ideal vantage point for battle or movement is completely prohibited. The game almost feels like 2.5D.
There is none of the exploration or freedom. Levels are extremely linear. They are no alternate routes and there are ton of invisible walls.
Combat is a mixed bag. Sometimes combat is fun, but there's a lot to control towards the middle-end game. Double tap an analog controller to sprint?! Crazy bad game design there.
There's also a ton of quick time events, a la the action is paused and you have to hit a button at a precious moment. Really takes you out of the action.
Good lord. Not enjoyable. No camera control, and no lock-on, so it's tricky to see what's coming, and to react to what's coming when it pops out of nowhere. Pacing seems 'off' - especially at the start; it's fairly breakneck - even the tutorial. Feels like it substitutes pace/spectacle for substance. Not enjoying the control scheme at all - overall clunky feel. This is a (meh) Xbox 360 port so you'll probably find a controller a must in order to be able to operate this one. There are other, better games out there. This one's not worth it.
It was kinda fun and interesting, for what it was, until I hit a gamebreaking bug during a platforming segment where I couldn't jump across about 3 hours in.
playit
I FUCKING HATE THIRD PERSON PLATFORMING AND CHUBACABRAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was certainly an unexpected "Castlevania" entry I never thought I see, but so, so many miles away from unwelcome or unfun. Expect plenty of puzzles & platforming, plus a diverse & adaptable combat system that gives you plenty of options to develop your own style & strategy while taking down enemies. I highly recommend taking the extra time to unlock any & all secrets & upgrades you can: they'll be your best friends as you move on in to the more difficult parts of the game.
A poor imitation of God Of War this game. The bosses are frustrating in the worst possible way. They're not difficult, just feel under baked and clunky.
The environments are quite pretty and music is nice enough.
I can do without the silly narrator segments.
It's alright but nothing more
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
---------------------------------------------------
A solid action game that knows its strengths.
If you're into hack-and-slash, this one delivers. The combat is fun, and the boss fights? Some of them are truly epic, with huge creatures that make you feel small but powerful. Not every fight is perfect, but the big ones? Totally worth it.
The story is decent too. You’ll probably stick around to see how it all plays out.
And the soundtrack? It’s honestly great—really sets the mood for the dark and eerie world you’re slashing through.
Definitely worth checking out for fans of the genre!
Enjoy the game !
Pretty good game with some minor issues but nothing terrible. Very similar to God of War games. Story was pretty good as well.
If you like God Of War (not the Axe ones for clarity) you'll probably be able to pick up the game pretty fast. It is a reboot, so other than vague gothic/christian lore it should be pretty easy to get into, lore-wise. Rn at 25 hours, mostly complete and about to start the post-game levels, then the sequel, but loved my trip with it.
How deep will you go into the hell to save your love. How much will you strip yourself from your soul to be the savior of good. This is how dark the tale will start not even having your first steps of redemption. You are the Gabriel of Belmont. Your cross is your heart your heart is your love. Your whip is the closest friends you will have here.
Universaly one of the darkest and deepest stories told in Castlevania libraries by date. Youre not prepared for such foreshadowing that will awaits you in here. At first I thought this was ok how nice the game feels but the more I went the beter it got. Constantly battle between the light and dark is always sitting on your shoulders. Im afraid to not lose the right path ahead cause Marie is waiting for me on the other side.
All the scary moments from past experiences will haunt you to the bones. Swamps, haunted trees and massive gothic structures complicates every area with each distinct looks. There are so many chilling and stuning visual places used in this game that shoks my heart every time I replay this title prob by far to many times. I lost the count. What whould be those places without scary universal monsters from deepest puddles of nightmares. Whenever clawing dark hungry werewolves or just simple giant spiders grawling on your back. Many will be discovered by you I will not ruin the experience because there are handful of them. Developers did a great job to keep you engaged into every encounter with fresh taste and look. Don’t forget giant colossal fights of this game that brings joy to my eyes. Some of the platforming sections could be tricky cause the game is from 2010 but every shot and angle is masterfully crafter to show the best part of the game. They are not hard but you have to get use to it.
I love the combat personally. Whip have never felt trong like in this game and how they show what it can do is jarring. So many crazy moves you can develop and master it. Every one of them makes you even more stronger and agile. There are some minor “quick time” events but they are not that crappy just be aware of them.
As far as goes from me I consider this one of the best Castlevania games ever produced. I will die on this hill. I just wished they made more of it with more stories and most well know universal monsters and in not modern era but just keep it simple and grounded like this game.
Do you like God of War?
Do you like Devil May Cry?
Do you like Uncharted?
Do you like Shadow of the Colossus?
Do you wonder if all 4 of these games had a horrific orgy with each other?
No? Well too bad because beating this game has imprinted that image in my head like a permanent night-terror that no cpap machine or seroquel prescription can help you sleep through. In fact, it would probably make it worse.
The things that really made this game such a disappointment for me are the combat and the controls. The idea is that you have a light/heavy attack like God of War, you block enemy attacks to build up a gauge, and once its filled every hit you land will spill orbs that you can suck up to your dual Angel/Devil Trigger meters with one that slowly heals you after every hit and the other makes your attacks more powerful.
The problem?
Blocking and dodging are tied to the same button.
You can't block while running, you can only dodge.
Running is very slippery and jumping is very stiff.
There are sections where you have to light up artifacts with your Angel/Devil Trigger in the right combination and pull levers via a QTE segment, during enemy mob fights.
If the devs had thought to separate the block and dodge functions to their own dedicated buttons, made it to where moving the analog stick doesn't cancel your block, or gave us the common courtesy of more responsive movement this game wouldn't feel like such a slog fest.
Another thing I thought was bad were the puzzles. Not because they were bad on their own, but because it felt like there were so many types of puzzles implemented that it didn't feel cohesive.
There are the typical ones you'd expect like light mirror reflection puzzles that you have to chain through multiple rooms and floor panel puzzles where you need to punch a circle on the ground in the right order through multiple rooms to make all the electric fences disappear. But then you also have the REALLY tacked on crap like playing Plinko to make all the bumpers flip to green, dialing the right horoscope/number/Moon phase combination, putting chess pieces on certain squares, and rotating circles to align a picture properly within a certain time limit. These are not fun, they're time wasters, busy work, filler content, whatever term you want to use.
To make up for the bad controls, the ragequit inducing puzzles, and the constant barrage of enemy mobs that fart in Gabriel's face to cancel out his lever pulling QTEs, they throw in alot of checkpoints. Like an excessive amount of checkpoints. The bosses have their own dedicated checkpoints for each phase too because they all have their own special QTE sections and tacked on minigames that the player is supposed to anticipate on the spot.
For example, the final boss has a section where you throw harpoons at him as he quickly runs toward you, but I wasn't expecting the aiming reticle to move slightly to the left before firing, so I missed, died, and had to redo that phase over again. That's not clever, that's just cheap.
Oh also, there are platforming sections ripped off from Uncharted and 3 boss fights where you climb up on enemies to find their weakspot like in Shadow of the Colossus.
Overall, this game has no shame. I can understand why it got good reviews when it came out because everyone was probably so jaded by all the 2D entries that they wanted a complete AAA 3D reboot that could be expanded upon. But man, this game has not aged well at all.
The PC port itself is fine. No issues or bugs at all, so if you want to play it for yourself you should be fine so long as you don't have a potato from 2016. I just found it frustrating and prefer Castlevania 1 - Order of Ecclesia more. Even the PS2 games were better imo.
dracul
I missed this on PS3, but plays great at 60 FPS on PC. Boss mechanics are a little outdated but still plenty of fun for those wanting an old school God of War experience
Not a true Castlevania game, but still an OK game. They really dropped the bag by not throwing in some wall chicken.
GOD OF VANIA
Awesome hack n slash game. Can be a little annoying having to retrace steps in order to collect certain items but overall the game runs and plays great. Pick this up for an experience as close to God of War and Dante's Inferno that you can get on PC.
Good Game
I would absolutely recommend this game for its rich lore and for being the foundation for Mirror of Fate and Lords of Shadow 2, as well as for its character design, astonishing sceneries of magical places, the variety of monsters, the captivating voice acting and the fantastic story and character of Gabriel Belmont. Paired with the inspiring music, it is a classic game and it does not get enough love.
However, I am deeply annoyed by the boss fights in this game. My controller is new, and yet, The Stone Titaness took me a long time to complete because the ''L'' movement would not work to throw back the stone. I am having the same issue, but more instensely with the Crow Witch and the eggs. They simply won't be thrown back at her. It is exhausting and way too time-consuming... Makes me delighted to know such infuriating mechanics were not added to Lords of Shadow 2, but instead, all issues were fixed and the combat in general was greatly improved.
So far, I have enjoyed the game, but, I am not sure if I may have to tweak the settings. Which is odd, because it does not lag on my computer, at all. I am getting tired of dealing with the devious crows and want to progress further into the illustrious storyline.
On a positive note, the trials are so much fun to do, and I LOVE how every chapter is re-playable! Even with the cutscenes. It suits the vibes of this prequel.
I hope others have better luck with the controls, because it's a shame to leave it unfinished, as a huge fan. There simply is not a game like it anywhere else. This trilogy has been a blast to go through.
Well, I've been trying to finish this game for two generations and I always end up abandoning it near the end. At this point, this being my third copy, and abandoning the game again for the seventh or eighth time, I hope, by the grace of Odin, that I never try this again.
I better accept that the game just isn't for me. Even though it has everything I like and is heavily influenced by other franchises that I really appreciate.
There's nothing necessarily wrong with it, but simply, the game doesn't click in a satisfactory way.
It's just boring, I think. It has all the elements to make a good game, the individual characteristics of these elements are good, but nothing connects in a way that creates a satisfying experience. It feels slow and drawn out, not delivering more than the bare minimum.
The tired joke that this is Castlevania without a castle isn't responsible for me not being able to enjoy the game more than I'd like, but I wonder if I wouldn't like it more if this weren't just another metroidvania with RPG elements. .
The art direction and presentation in general is wonderful and very eye-catching compared to its peers at the time, without sacrificing too much of the gothic aesthetic of the classics (But without embracing it too much). It has an original identity, but the root of being a game about killing monsters is still very much in evidence.
Combat has undergone a "God of Warfication", having a similar vibe, with simple and cinematic combos, which are generally focused on area attacks against many types of enemies, however, heavier and more versatile due to the adjacent skills that the game inserts as you move forward.
The enemies are cool, they put the right amount of pressure and telegraph their attacks in a satisfactory way and the boss fights don't leave much to be desired.
They even added a couple of giants, with fantastic designs, in the style of Shadow of The Colossus, which aren't even half as fun to face as In Colossus, but are interesting enough to break up the monotony.
Unfortunately, the combat never gets as hot as it needs to be. Most fights end when they're getting good. And you almost never feel a consistency in their structure and the way they are integrated into level design. You feel something clumsy and poorly developed in every setup you see.
Level design, in turn, has nice traversal elements to create interesting environments, but all the scenarios you cross are too short, too linear or too constricting. It gets frustrating how bad and generic some stages are.
And to make matters worse, someone had the genius idea of adding collectibles that can only be picked up after you have a specific upgrade. Forcing you to replay bad levels in search of anemic, almost irrelevant rewards.
The variety is quite satisfying, but I never felt like I was advancing through a well-realized environment that made full use of the mechanics, developing ideas along the way, throwing curveballs, demanding that I pay attention, and encouraging my curiosity. It always felt like I was walking in a tight straight line or that the developers were holding my hand the whole time.
This is a game that tells you that you can ride a giant spider to access previously inaccessible areas, only for the feature to become useless seconds later. Whenever they put something new on the table, they seem reluctant to let it breathe.
The game has a lot of cool ideas and they even work in theory, but the overall execution is very questionable. You never feel things evolving in an organic, exciting way.
And Gabriel Belmont has the charisma of a dead fly, basically killing the narrative before it even begins.
All in all, based on all the time I've played and this most recent (hopefully last) attempt, I'd say it's worth a look since the discounted price of the game is practically zero. It's a game that has everything it needs to be good, but for some reason, or for a series of reasons that don't seem very convincing while you're playing, the experience isn't as good as it appears.
It's a game that makes me want to sleep. But it is polished and extremely beautiful. So it's worth at least taking a look.
The sequel however, just stay away... The ideas became more fun and ridiculous, but the quality of the game didn't improve one bit.
P.S: I would recommend checking out Darksiders 2 first if you like the genre or Darksiders 3 if you're thirsty for a whipping simulator. Both are better, more consistent experiences.
A Hack and Slash style Castlevania, and it does it well. Collecting power-ups, backtracking, fighting bosses, and some really nice story developments make for a fairly enjoyable game.
TL;DR: This game is a good action adventure title, with a focus on linear gameplay to tell a fantastic story. And is more similar to a modern take on the classicvania style of gameplay, rather than a metroidvania attempt. If you like action or cinematic games, you'll enjoy this.

I'm a long-time Castlevania fan. Both of the classic and metroidvania styles of gameplay. So, when I heard this was a reboot years ago - I was a bit put off. Mostly because the original story Iga had been working on hadn't been finished.
However, when I saw the gameplay of this looked like an evolution of the gameplay elements introduced in Lament of Innocence (which came before God of War) - it piqued my interest enough to give it a go. And I'm really glad that I did, because what I got during that initial playthrough I had on the 360 version was an immersive multi-hours story that never took away from the action and gameplay - once you got past the tutorial.
I was honestly so engrossed in both the story and fun I was having, that I pulled a full all-nighter just because I didn't want to stop. Which is the highest honor I can give any game.
The gameplay is fun and fluid. Even with the locked camera angles, there's enough freedom in where they're placed and with the level design - that nothing ever feels unfair. And the combo system is done quite well, even if the heavy X / square button attacks are going to be the main ones folks will probably rely on the most. The variety for those who choose to use it is there, and flowing.
I would speak all the praises I could for the story, but I can't do so without spoiling it. So, I'll just say that it's an amazing classical adventure that's well worth enjoying.
In my honest opinion, I think the only reasons this game got such negative reception at first is purely because folks were sick of reboots - and JonTron bashing it for clicks. As - in that era of YouTube - hating on games (especially reboots) was the main way to get views, and those kinds of videos did leave an impact on many people. Even if they were disingenuous.
God of War: Castlevania Edition is a good time.
