I think this DLC is good, but I can't access it. It states that it is in my library, but can't get it to load/run.

Embarrasing that this is sold as a DLC. 5 missions, almost all just regular victory point skirmishes. 0 content.

This DLC feels cheap in my opinion and i don't recommend this

Tiger Ace is not fair you can't really repair the tank

Convoy is kinda fun

Assault on Vorohnez is best with a friend

Retreat at Don is unfair and not fun

Do not buy It. It's very strange and very expensive dlc :
1. It contains only 5 short missions for 6$
2. Only one mission about strategy. Four missions are challenge.
2. All missons is very hard for ex: One Tiger vs 3 KV-2, You army without anti-tank units vs 2 KV.
3. AL has big buff. AL's units has more HP than your units and AL is faster resourse than you. 99/100 GG

The Case Blue Mission Pack brings a set of five new missions to this new 'Theatre of War'. You play as Germany, restricted to 1941 units and vehicles so be prepared for the balancing to be a little wild.

I'm quite late to the Company of Heroes 2 party and I was really excited to get into these mission packs when I finished the base game, but sadly I just cannot recommend this one. At times the missions are fun, but more often than not they've just frustrating and not as polished as the main game, which is disappointing considering you are being expected to pay extra for these missions.

It took me about 6 hours (including retries) to complete all of the missions in this pack on 'Captain' difficulty, so I do think that you will be able to get some good play time out of this. However, be prepared to be frustrated by some of the missions - especially if you are having to play with an AI teammate instead of a real person. Other reviewers have pointed out Tiger Ace as being a particularly silly mission, but for me Assault on Voronezh and Kharkov Pursuit were particularly silly.

Assault on Voronezh is pretty much impossible playing playing as the tank commander because the AI cannot handle being the the infantry commander and just get all their units killed. Kharkov Pursuit is poorly balanced and I just didn't find it to be a very enjoyable map to play on as a result, especially with the very limited unit set you have available in the first 10 minutes or so.

Maybe pick it up as part of a bundle if you don't own the base game, but I wouldn't buy this on its own unless there is a really heavy discount.

The challenges are fine, but the AI battles are beyond broken, which is unacceptable.
For some stupid reason the AI just gets insanely OP.
Even on the easiest setting, the AI are nothing like the easy setting in custom games.
On top of all that, one of the challenges also kept making the game crash over and over when trying to take over damaged enemy tanks. I had to constantly savescum my way through and restart the game like 10 times to get past the crashing section.

Beyond ridiculous and broken. I'm not even gonna bother buying the other DLC's that I was planning to buy.

Tiger ace mission in COH1: lot’s of upgrades to your tank and crew members makes your tank become the most powerful killing machine on the battlefield. With good level design makes you feel like watching《Fury》but Germany version.
Tiger ace mission in this dlc: Conscript with auto-tracking AT grenade, Rifle man using PTRS loaded with uranium AP round. Your 88 gun shoot firework.

Dont get me wrong Case Blue can be fun and challenging despite its flaws but It is extremely overpriced for what is basically a handful of missions, most of which are glorified custom games with special conditions. Only two are actually unique.

As other people have mentioned it should be noted that recent patches have ruined the balance of many of these missions making some extremely easy and others borderline impossible. To make matters worse ToW seems to have been abandoned and no updates are made to tackle those issues and keep it up to date with the current state of balance.

Given this i honestly cant get myself to recommend something that is practically an expensive yet small but abandoned expansion. One should purchase during sales otherwise its not really worth it.

please update the tiger ace mission its impossible to finish it in general also its hard to play it even in captain but i managed to end it, also the other missions are all good except tiger ace and convoy

I only have one problem with this DLC:

TIGER ACE MISSION is broken on hard difficulty! The Tiger tank has been nerf in the past years making this mission imposible. Tiger ace penetration is awful, so awful that will make you feel like a hippie throwing flowers at a train. Tiger ace armor is thinner than a turds hide, literally every shoot from any infantry will penetrate making you easier than a cheap W***e. You can try and cheese for a few hours to get some cheap shoots through destroyed buildings while running from infantry and thinking to yourself "why did i buy this F****ing S**t"

Devs get to work ffs and repair this piece of C**p

The most sadistic and poorly designed mission in COH ever...

"Tiger Ace" - you get a single Tiger Tank ready to kick some butt with your favorite tank...when all you called to do is kill 7 outposts of at infantry... it's sadistically slow to kill all this infantry with the slow rate of fire of a tank that 7/10 shots actually miss the infantry.

SO... in between... the game throws some tanks at you which are actually pretty fun to kill and forget about the grind. After 2 hours of killing infantry and finishing that effing thing, without any extra repair opporunity (you spend all the points in repair because AT infantry WILL do dmg either you want it or not) the game decides to throw 8 tanks to you, 3 are KV-2's and tons of MORE infantry. Ef this, really. It's not hard because it's a challenge, it's hard because you get bored to death to kill this damn infantry with zero strategy element. And even if you manage to get all tank shots in your frontal armor with minimal penetration, you still die to infantry with at guns that neglect your frontal armor somehow and chop off chunks. 2 of them can easily bring you down 50%.

It's practically improssible to do this mission. Once I made it to the last two KV-2's which are harder than you to penetrate (1/5) and they penetrate you 1/3. SO you die. and reload and reload and reload and die again.

This is a 8 euro DLC for some scripted skirmishes that you can do without buying the game.
Also, the challenges are so out of balance right now. This has been a problem since early 2014.
NOT worth it.

Don't buy this garabge of a DLC like I did, at least until Relic fixes it.

You get 5 missions, 4 of 5 is actually manageable, but incredibly short and a serious lack of depth.

In 1 of the 5, the Tiger "Ace" mission is terribly design and needs to be redone ASAP.

You do not get a Tiger ace tank, you get a crappy tiger tank that seems to be missing 2 out of 5 shots consistently and gets wrecked by any of KV-2 you will encounter.

Depending on RNG, it takes a minimal of 30 seconds to kill a single 4 man infantry squad (by the way, they lob AT grenades and your 88mm gun barely outranges them).

And very annoyingly, a 20% HP KV-2 manages to wipe out 60% of my tiger's HP after 3 minutes of exchange. (WTF?)

Seriously, the quality of this DLC was incredibly lacking.

Theater of War missions were pretty boring and I did not see any point in them at all but to get all the achievements you still need to do them all.

10 Dollars, 5 Missons, 0 chance of fun. While I have almost everything that company of heroes 1 & 2 have to offer (Cept overly priced skins and commanders for #2) this DLC is one of the Worst.

I bought Case Blue while it was on sale for half price I believe and i've regretted it ever since. The missons are ok and decent as far as gameplay goes but for this price tag? I don't think so. I would recommend it for MAYBE $2.50 but for 10 dollars you could buy other games and play them 100 times over before you get bored of them.

While I am a fan of most of Relic's work this is just fucking mental.

I love Company of Heroes 2. Don't get me wrong, but wow the mission Tiger Ace is one of the most annoying and cheap challenges I've ever played in any game. It starts off fine, a little counter intuitive but it's a game so you have to roll with it. Get to the final soviet counter attack though and it just gets so stupid. As other reviewers have mentioned soviet tanks and anti-tank weapons are seemingly laser guided and even an understrength squad of conscripts can do significant damage. There is NO support whatsoever from the AI panzergrenadiers. They stand around and get killed and do nothing to the enemy. So it's you against 8 tanks half of which are heavies and you virtually can't scratch them unless you get a shot in on their rear armor. You can shoot them in the sides 20 times to no effect so obviously head on is even less effective.

You'll sit there trading punches with them and at first it's just pew pew pew but then you see that they're taking your precious health down but you're not doing shite to them. So the game forces you to circle jerk with the soviets, round and round and round. It might not be so bad except you're outnumbered at any given time by at least 3 to 1 AND you're getting mortared by the most precise mortar operators in history and you're being peppered by anti-tank rifles. SO you think you'll withdraw and repair using some of your precious resources? Nope they follow you and if you do manage to get far enough away you think you're safe, guess what? You just drove into a minefield. I want to find the person who designed this level and punch him in the face.

I bought a bundle simply because I want the mechanized assault doctrine but this mission pack is a let down. The first AI battle is like a game for retard, you start off with free AT and howitzer, but the second one is like hell. I played on general difficulty, the enemy started off with penal squads and partisans, flamethrowers came rather quickly and then comes the MG trucks and light tanks, they rolled out the KV-1 under 15 minutes. The fuel and ammo point will be completely cut off if a point that is rather far off is taken and combined with the resources and the partisan groups the enemy gets, it is simply not fair. I even used the assault grenadiers, fighting the partisan groups with normal infantry is a nightmare. I enjoy the commanders I got from the bundle but this DLC pack is NOT worth the money.

Complete waste of money. And to be honest quite insulting to the COH fan base. New content is always a welcome site, but do not waste our time and money on half-ass designed challenges and missions. If you're going to charge money for additional content please for the sake of your businesses reputation, play through the content yourselves first before release... And then ask yourself questions like this: "Would I be willing to pay for this if I was the end-user?", "Does the price of the content accurately reflect the time and effort that has been put into it's development?", "What would Jesus do?", etc...

So $13 USD or $17 AUD which was the price I bought for this DLC. I've already written a short review about this game, how Deep Silver or Relic turned this game into fragments of DLCs. To my major disappointment, they locked Tiger commander, so I cannot use Tiger tank unless I buy the $4 Commander DLC. SO to those who want to enjoy the Tiger tank, just buy $4 DLC. BUT DON'T BUY CASE BLUE!

Let's not waste anytime, here's why you shouldn't buy this DLC.


1. There's only ONE Tiger Ace mission, ONE MISSION! And it is short! You can't use 'Direct Fire' control like the original Company of Heroes Tale of Valor... The mission is boring and the AI are stupid! Camping and staying in one spot, and enemies tank often run into the edge of the map only to expose Rear armor to my Tiger!


2. Solo missions are pathetic, basically, the missions uses the same MAP from skirmish WITH the skirmish game mode. With nothing change in terms of gameply AT ALL. And you can't even use the TIGER TANK!!! WTF! (I really want to understand why Relic did this shaddy practice??) (NOTE: There's no new maps)

3. Co-Op can be slightly more fun, due to fact that it is Co-Op. Although I mostly just talk about how bad this game has become with my friend.

In short, don't buy it if you want to play Tiger Ace mission. I would rather buy the $4 Tiger commander and have fun in the multiplayer. For $13 USD, it's WAY over priced, there's no new maps, Tiger Ace mission is boring and short....

ten bucks for a DLC that's just some missions on maps that already exist? go f*ck yourselves relic. Also, way to remove functionality and key things from a working formula

Honestly, I would have much rather seen a Soviet ToW campaign instead of a German one... But hey, I got it for free so I guess it's worth taking a look it. If you didn't buy the collector's edition; however, you may not want to buy this DLC.
