Recommended! So far no. Where are the tutorials! Just an empty black screen. Not knowing what to do in a finicky game like this makes it too hard and too boring to bother with.
This is a very fun game to play once you figure every thing out, but the only problem is that you have to figure it out yourself.

That's an OK game, but it lacks a variety of different missions. The first one was far superior in that field, however had the same graphics. So, if you like this kind of game, stick with the first one instead.
How the fuck do you get the editor to work, had to watch a 1 hour youtube video on it and then when i tried to run a match it crashed, then when i searched a fix for the crash i saw 400 threads of people talking about this crash with no solutions.
This game has stopped working. It won't load anymore and I get an error message.
Worth it for the mods.

didn't feel like they put much effort in the main missions, maps might have slight differences but at the end it's all the same thing. any fun if any at all quickly dies after the first mission in which u learn the mechanics. i'd rather be playing men of war or faces of war where missions were actually different and fun (especially faces of war). if you want to buy it purely for the multiplayer it's ight i guess but other than that i don't recommend.

The finest ww2 RTS/RTT of all time. One caveat: The base game without any mods is decent or good, as the foundation of the game and sheer amount of control the game gives you over your units is unparalleled in any other game in the genre. General detail and environment destruction is excellent as well.
the addition of the RobZ mod is what truly brings this game to the next level. The base game damage model is a bit off, with infantry that absorb rifle and machine gun fire, and with tanks with somewhat short ranges and general arcadey function. RobZ increases the damage on nearly every weapon in the game, and adds a lot of new units, maps, etc which leads to an unforgettable, gritty sandbox ww2 experience if truly delved into.
The game in general has an expansive modding community as well.

My most played game on steam. I've made hundreds of missions in the editor, featuring revolutionary war line infantry, ww2/vietnam/modern era soldiers, space marines from the 40k millennium, and troopers from a galaxy far far away. Thank you to the community for making such well-made mods. And thank you to the developer for making a game that ended up giving me hundreds of hours of joy.

Men of War is indeed one of the RTS games, you can enjoy the game in a variety of ways, whether it be the insane micromanagement of Robz, the good star wars mod and missions, or the best strategy of mass-wave tactics.
One of the best RTS games out there in my opinion, I fully recommend 10/10. has some janky moments but they give you a laugh

Great ww2 rts coop game play is a bonus
I first played this back in, I think 2015 and never really got around to reviewing it. Nevertheless, this is a really really fun game with a lot of cool stuff in the workshop if you ever get bored or tired of the main game. I doubt you'll ever get bored because, even with more than 100 hrs on this game, I haven't even played all of the main missions yet.
Anyway, if you are into WW2 RTS games, this is for you. my only gripe is the AI but it's an old game so I'll let them off easy here. Things are real intense, it keeps you in the flow state for a decent chunk of time although I do wish the main missions were longer and more diverse in its experience. If you wanna play WW2 general make-believe, this game is for you. If you want a decent challenge, this game is for you. If you simply wanna past some time, this game is for you. Whether you ask me now or way back then, I'll tell you that this game is worth every penny.

I searched one thing for this game is your unit wait for their apointed job given by you until you give the "activating order" so they move at the same time.
. Only missing is that. Otherwise a perfect WW2 war game. It is not easy to play actually.

This is one of the best RTS games out there for me. Even before I put on mods.
Good game however i would only buy it for its multiplayer/skirmish mode as campaign is massively unbalanced.
I've been playing this game on and off ever since I was 8 years old and it still doesn't get boring. It's a shame not all of my friends share the same love for this game but I understand, it isn't your typical RTS with the amount of micro managing you need to do. Modding support is great too.
they want you to buy game then 12$ dlc so you can play with bots the developers are shit like honestly look at any other rts and you can play against bots in base game like if you can make a game properly then dont make one like just quit your jobs and never make another oh wait you did but your not getting a cent from me you trash heaps

While the base game alone is great, the editor mode + mods make for an amazing experience. While it is a bit much and confusing at first, with one or two online tutorials, anyone can make any battle they wish. 1000000000000/5 stars!
Men of War: Assualt Squad 2 is a good WW2 game but begins to show it's age compared to newer titles such as Call to Arms - Gates of Hell: Ostfront

Although gameplay is similar between the two games, Men of War has far less content and some pretty terribly design missions. In a top down RTS game, I don't know how or why stealth gameplay would be good gameplay, I skipped those missions entirely because they aren't good and don't play on the games strengths. Where this game really shines is it's awesome large scale combat with tanks and artillery. It's a great game to pick up on sale, and I believe this is what inspired Call to Arms, which is a really good game that builds on top of all that this game did.

This game managed to flip a switch in me. Up until this point, i was only interested in RTS games with base building.
This has no base building whatsoever, but it has SWEET SWEET tactical action, and it looks and feels so awesome.
Great map and unit variety, and if i would ever get bored of that, a ton of mods can help with keeping my playtime high.
Highly recommended for any RTS fans.
