Personal memories can now be digitized, bought, sold and traded. The last remnants of privacy and intimacy have been swept away in what appears to be a logical progression of the explosive growth of social networks at the beginning of the 21st century. The citizens themselves have accepted this surveillance society in exchange for the comfort only smart technology can provide. This memory economy gives immense power over society to just a handful of people.
Remember Me™ is a 3rd person action adventure where players take on the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories. The authorities, fearful of her knowledge and capabilities arrested Nilin and wiped her memory clean. After her escape from prison, Nilin sets out on a mission to recover her identity, helped by her last and only friend. This search for her past leads to her being hunted by the very people that created this surveillance society.
Key Features
- Speculative, stunning vision of our future – Discover Neo-Paris 2084, where augmented reality and memory digitisation have taken control of peoples’ lives.
- Play as Nilin – an elite memory hunter with a clouded past – Become the most wanted memory hunter in Neo-Paris and experience the power to break into peoples’ minds to steal their memories. Gain the information you need directly from people’s heads, to complete your missions and recover your own memory.
- Memory Remix – This innovative new gameplay mechanic allows players to use Nilin’s powers and alter parts of people’s memories in real-time gameplay. This will change characters’ complete perspective on their self-image and the people around them, which can have grave consequences for the world in 2084.
- A balanced mix of combat and exploration – Fight your way through the different environments Neo-Paris has to offer, using Nilin’s proficiency in martial arts, as both hunter and prey!
- Combo Lab – Remember Me allow players to fully customise the combos Nilin uses during the game. Players can adjust combos on the fly to suit every situation.

Criminally underrated game. The combat sequences are a ton of fun to customize, the visuals are on point, and the vibes are unmatched.
This is an otherwise fascinating game let down by its movement controls, that seem to be some kind of nausea simulator. It's disappointing how many games are weighed down by head bob and weird forced movement when the story and characters are otherwise compelling. This game presents a whole gorgeous neo-Paris city to look at, that you can barely look at because the view keeps being forced one way or another.
This game deserves far more credit than it gets. Remember Me is a gem from last generation, it has it flaws sure but its still unique and beautiful. Honestly wish they would make sequel. This game had so much potential it’s really sad that not too many people remember this game.
I hate to not recommend this game, because the story and graphics are very good. The main problem with the game is the control system. Let me preface by saying I played this both on the SteamDeck and on my ultra-wide monitor PC. On the PC, I played with keyboard-mouse. I tried for a bit playing with my controller, but I found the keyboard mouse better for the fighting scenes. The steamdeck was fine, but it's really hard to see anything and the text was miniscule.
So let's break it down to the main areas of concern:
REWIND scenes
The controller was better for the "rewind" scenes - which there are only three of, so I just stuck with the mouse for those. You have to rotate your mouse in a counterclockwise direction to find "glitches" in the memory which you can alter. The problem is the "glitches" are almost impossible to see if you are rewinding too fast and secondly they may have two glitches at the same time and it is almost impossible to select the one you want. It was so fiddly to do these alterations that I just gave up on trying different combinations and looked at a guide to just get them done as quickly as possible. Counter-intuitive to game play and figuring out the puzzle because the controls are so hard to manipulate.
Spammer use
UGH!!!!! I guess at some point they tell you that you can do a full charge shot with the spammer by using the RMB or the RT on controller, but I don't remember them showing me that. I spent hours trying to get the spammer aimed at some doors (if you've played you know which horrible fight this was) and didn't know I was supposed to be hitting it with a full-charge shot and kept spamming the LMB or RB to hit the buttons and nothing would happen. I had to watch several videos to see what I was doing wrong and even then, it didn't inform you of the correct button to push so finally found it in a discussion. Just horrible controls and tutorial on how to use the controls.
Additionally, you use the spammer in non-fighting scenes to target door buttons and scaramechs (Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango?) and you use the shift button for that! Really? The Shift? If you are not close enough, Nilin will not aim the spammer, and sometimes the shift button just stops registering. You have to go out to a menu and come back in to get it to aim.
Combat
OK, ok, I know others have complained about this, so I won't go into much detail, but the controls are just so clunky here and what makes it worse is the camera while you are in a fight. Half the time you cannot even see where you are (and this is a third person shooter) and when you try to use the directional controls the character doesn't react.
I soon learned the combo system so that wasn't too bad, but the sensen wheel and trying to "target" an enemy with the Q button and rotating the mouse was so unresponsive. You have to be facing exactly the right direction and even when you get it targeted, half the time it just takes you back out without completing the action.
At the end of some boss battles they give you Quicktime Events - but not all bosses, so you have to be ready for it when it comes up. I didn't know this at first so had to get the boss into a fault situation several times before I could execute the quicktime.
Camera angles
When you are just walking around and looking for things, the camera just randomly jerks around in a way it wants instead of you being able to see where you are or what is around you. There is a "free camera" but it will only show you a limited space around you. You can't look up at the roof or down past your feet.
Yes I would like some cheese with that whine, thank you!
All this to say if you want a story rich environment and don't mind screaming at the screen for hours and your loved ones don't desert you because of your ranting and raving, then this may be for you - but then again, they made a movie of it, so just watch that.
It's a good game with an intriguing story, what holds it back is the combat.
Combat could have been a lot better.
Still looking good for 10 year old.
Great immersive story
It is not even funny how seriously this game flies under the radar with almost no one having heard about it.
Very good game. Shame that we won't ever see a sequel, another example of a game being ahead of its time. Plays like a mash up of Control, the arkham games and unchartered. Set in a cyberpunk aesthetic.
A unique cyberpunk adventure with an intriguing story and innovative memory-altering puzzles. The combat is solid, and the art style is breathtaking.
7/10 overall.
The platforming and fighting part is decent, but nothing exciting. Standard stuff.
What makes this game stick out is the totally unique idea to manipulate a scene to alter one's memory. I Have not seen something like this before. It turns out that this is just a trial-and-error-point-and-click thing, but still it's very memorable.
The Good:
- Visuals
- Setting
- Memory manipulation
- Fighting system works well.
- The game does not drag out the boring stuff.
The Bad:
- TOO MANY WHITE SCREENS THAT HURT MY EYES LATE AT NIGHT WHEN ITS DARK IN MY ROOM
- Other fighting games do it better (Batman Arkham series), but it's still okay.
- Other platformers to it better.
- The camera is weird often times.
Final Thoughts:
Not worth grinding to 100% achievements, but good experience finishing it once.
I fucking love this game.
omg i had this game on ps3 but back then i was a potato now i can play properly
great game.plays great on oled deck.much better than i remember it when it came out on console.1920x1080 on high settings gets you 90 fps through most of the game.in the rainy areas youll need to drop it a bit.rain in games is a quality/fps assassin.unless you switch res to 800 then itll stay at 90 for the most part.great riddles.had me scratching my head for a bit.hope they dig up a sequel some day
Despite some of the tropes of its era, this is a wonderful piece of science fiction gaming that holds up. It's not complex in its gameplay but it has immaculate world design and cinematic pull. Highly recommend if you're a fan of cyberpunk games and beat em ups.
Jogo injustiçado, história é meio que uma sessão da tarde mas é boa, combate batman arkhan, gameplay é boa até no mouse e teclado, mt bom merecia mais reconhecimento. só pega em um promo que é sucesso
What a gem!
The Neo-Paris cyberpunk aesthetic is unique and the game portrays one of the best futiristic dystopian settings I've seen.
The graphics are absolutely stunning and hold up amazingly well even today.
The attention to detail in the environment is unbelievable. The lighting, the augmented reality pop ups, the use of bright color, all stunning.
The artists have created something special here.
The combat is enjoyable but it can get a bit frustrating some times, especially near the end of the game.
The combo creation is interesting enough to make you think what to use and where.
The combat system is like the Arkham games where you are basically doing crowd control and handling specific enemies with your abilities at the same time.
I recommend playing on Easy (it's basically Normal).
The music and the sound design is exactly what you'd expect and go hand to hand with the amazing setting.
The story is rather unique and the characters are interesting. Nilin is one of the best female leads.
Strong, grounded, smart, emotional amd believable.
Played from start to finish on the Steamdeck on ultra settings and supersampling. One of the best looking games on handheld.
A fun, focused, and compact linear action adventure game with an interesting story. Loved the artstyle and vibes. The combat itself is Arkham-inspired with a slight twist of allowing you to modify the effects of certain hits in combo strings to regenerate health, deal more damage, or cut down the cooldown timer in between your ultimate abilities. By the end of the game, you do get a sense of how best to optimize these combos but up to that point it's a fun way of allowing the player some agency.
Overall, it's a short game that's a product of it's time and there isn't much to complain about apart from some clunky dialogue (halfway through the game, I switched the audio to the studio's native french, so I can't speak to the quality thereafter) and what I consider to be the game's chief issue: the dynamic camera.
Considering how well-crafted the environments in the game are, I really don't blame the studio for choosing to go for this decision. Most times, it's serviceable if not a little unwieldy, but there are points where it becomes a real nuisance such as during the final boss fight. If this game ever gets a remake or remaster -- which I truly do believe it deserves -- I hope that at the very least they allow for a more modern over-the-shoulder experience during non-parkour sections. I was also surprised to see that the game didn't include an arena mode to allow you to fight waves of the game's enemies, but that would've just been a fun little addition and doesn't detract too much from the game itself.
I recommend this game to any who are considering it. I picked it up on sale, but don't necessarily exclusively recommend other people purchase it in similar fashion. $30 for ~10 hours of gameplay may be a hard sell for some people, but I'm a proponent of handcrafted, shorter experiences and can vouch for the game's value even after all this time.
The combat, the story and the visuals are 10/10.
Technical problems
Such a great game, shame it's forgotten.
Another great piece of gaming history straight from the Xbox 360/PS3 era, when graphics were impressive, storylines were engaging, and games didn’t take up 200 GB of storage. While the gameplay feels a bit outdated and repetitive by today’s standards, let’s not forget - it’s a game from 2013! It stands apart from other titles by Dontnod (of which I’m a huge fan btw) but still delivers a solid experience. So it’s a high-quality AA game that’s definitely worth your time and it's working like a charm on Steam Deck.
[SPOILER]
You literally beat the shit out of the physical embodement of Humanities Trauma, so good game
berbat terrible
An amazing game with incredible visuals and music.
Would recommend it if can keep one during sales. Not a bad game consider it from 2013.

For the graphic visual and story is pretty cool. And every single parkour part were also stunning good (like the camera placement and UI being so futuristic-like, which I found it very unique even in 2024). Also the music is also vibes well with the cyberpunk atmosphere.
The combat is actually pretty good in 2010 era, however not so good compared to nowadays action games. But I still can give it a solid 6 or 7/10, the skill ceiling of mastering the main character is definitely pretty easy. What make the game difficult in some scenario is that some mechanism just make the game so annoying difficult (like the horrible aim lock system during dark and light switch, sometimes I just can't activate the light TwT)
1) It doesn't match the screenshots. It's a mix of a fighting simulator on top of a platformer aka the worst camera angles ever that constantly change. I was buying this for cyberpunk and plot, but even on the lowest difficulty setting there's more fights than anything else. And that is NOT fun. Not to mention that you have to click [TAB] to assign new combinations and, goodnes gracious, it is so tedious and drags you out of gameplay immediately. Any kind of immersion gone.
2) I require subtitles in order to 'hear' 'cause I absolutely can't play without subtitles. The subtitles are WAY too small, I can barely read them and it hurts my eyes. SInce I can't hear what they're saying, it's unplayable for me. There's no way to change the size of subtitles in game (basically ZERO accesibility). I tried googling, and only thread on Steam talks about it, and the solution that the player offered (from 2013, mind you) doesn't work for me since changing the game files results in a fatal error and in the game crashing. I shouldn't need to try and fix a game I already paid for in order to comfortably play it. I verified the game files, the font changed back and the error fixed itself, but the subtitles are way too small again and I just can't play like that. I can't focus on either the gameplay or the subtitles.
3) There are soooo many flashes which can cause a seizure (and it also hurts my eyes and my head).
4) The controls aren't made for a mouse and a keyboard, it's a poorly done controller/PS3 port. No matter how much you increase mouse sensitivity, it still has that weird restriction of a controller camera look, while also simultaneously being too fast. Horrible smoothing, horrible controls.
5) The voice acting falls flat sometimes. It does feel like an old(er) game.
6) Lastly, I reached the first "Remix memories" part. It doesn't tell you what key to mash, so I had to try and guess the control button for that action. Saw just the beginning of the mechanic of the remix, quit the game, requested a refund.
So bad on so many levels. Boring and annoying as hell. Absolutely do not recommed. Watch it on youtube if you must, you'll save yourself a lot of disappiointment and time wasted if you're like me.
4/5 - Good
It was quite an enjoyable ride. Interesting cyberpunk style world with combat that reminded me of the Arkham batman games. I found the graphics were very good for such an old game, it's holding up quite well for its age. The music and sound design were also quite enjoyable.
However there is one major flaw in this game that must be mentioned. The level design is very linear, which is fine, but they keep locking doors and blocking passages behind you, so you regularly get cut-off and can't go back while you're searching for hidden power-ups and collectibles. That was super frustrating. Anyways, at some point you stop caring and just focus on the story...
not bad and at the same time not good but still playeble worth to try.
A great memory of the PS3 era.
- Enslaved Odyssey to the West came out in 2010 and looks Better than this..
- Lot of Plot Holes..
- Dodging Attacks can be Annoying at times..
+ Unique Concept..
Good Enough to be Recommended tho..
Most boring game ever!! With amazing graphics.
Mediocre story with bad fighting mechanics.
Probably WORST CAMERA in video game history!!!!!!!
Wasted potential...
so good!!!
I love cyberpunk setting. That's what matters. The game is entertaining and thought-provoking at the same time.
"GOG"
it is the most underrated game that I have ever played
Great action game with interesting story
PROS:
- Atmospheric Neo-Paris
- Gameplay is unique in some way with memory editing stuff and combat is very catchy with nice combos and really useful upgrades like even what Arkham series could use
- Brilliant story
- Memorable characters
- Graphics and sound are very good for PS3 era
CONS:
[*]Facial animation is not that great as everything else
Overall - 7/10.
N1
I love this.
I really like the concept of this game and would like it there was a reboot or a sequel
Eh, you should play it! It's combat led to better combat in newer titles, and the world it is set in is very beautiful and unique!
9/10
Simply put, this game is wasted potential.
While playing this title it is evident that the dev team behind it was talented. They were trying to go for a female Nathan Drake approach with this one, but they fell short in execution. I do like the abstract approach in story telling, both of the World and characters within it when it works well; however, they are mostly misses with a few hits.
While the boss fights in these types of games are usually interesting, I felt like they were just a massive DRAG to go through within this. They seemed very lengthy, specially considering the mechanics of this game.
Only grab this product during a sale. It is mediocre (even when at its finest).
11/10 game story driven combat game that is absolutely gorgeous. I loved the story which started picking up towards the end and felt more like an interactive movie. has super awesome mechanics that i wish we were able to explore the games world with still for the experience it does the job. highly recommend it
I miss games like this! Gameplay and story are phenomenal
I randomly found a video about this game, a cyberpunk game that everyone forgot and it immediately hooked me to go and play this, without watching the video much and getting spoiled I launched steam and bought this, luckily it was on sale too!
After downloading and launching the game, fixing the FOV, I was immediately hooked. The combat took a little getting used to but after that it was a breeze.
What an excellent game, everything about it kept me hooked, from the gameplay, story and the graphics are really solid, this is a game from an era where video games were at their peak, every game was pretty much a solid experience and the cyberpunk aesthetic of this game really shines.
I honestly can't believe I missed out on this back in the day. I couldn't stop taking screenshot because of how impressive the environments looked for a game that is more than 10 years old now.
Back when the French knew how to make video games, they really lost the art these days.
A very good story, very nice graphics and a sophisticated combat system are unfortunately marred by faulty programming. The fights are interesting and challenging, but unfortunately it often happens that necessary long-chain health combos cannot be carried out even though the buttons have been pressed correctly several times. In addition, there is the typical “3 attempt programming”, which only makes victory possible after the fourth attempt. You don't have to put in much effort in final battles on the fourth try to win a final battle. All of these frustrating facts could be the reason why there won't be a second part, as in many parts of the combat system you can clearly see that the developers were overwhelmed with their own new ideas. Perhaps that could be the reason that unfortunately we are not allowed to play a second part with similar combat mechanics. If the developer hadn't exaggerated the combat system so much, the game might have been even more accessible to flawless combat programming and the game's story might have been more focused on. Unfortunately, many developers don't realize that you can overdo it in many aspects of a game. Unfortunately, “Remember Me” is a good example of this.
Absolutely amazing!
.
Id give this game a 7/10. Runs perfectly on the deck all on high settings and 60fps. The story is intriguing and neo Paris is beautiful but where this game fails for me is the combat. Yes you have the possibility of making your own combos but I found the enemies to be too spongey, it took forever to kill some of them and it really overstayed its welcome. Get it on a serious discount.
Ok, so I am coming to this game over a decade after it was initially released and I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it today.
It is really like an Uncharted-light with more of an Arkham combat styling. Remember Me isn't as good as either of the aforementioned games, but it holds its own very well.
The world building is well done and the story is engaging, though this is due to the sacrifice to the level design that is painfully linear. Still, I found the gameplay loop fun and the well woven tale kept me coming back.
I played the game on the toughest difficulty on the first playthrough and I didn't find the game very challenging, though I think any tougher and it might have worn out its welcome. As it was, I didn't die very often so I wasn't subjected to much repetition.
Remember Me is still very good looking even by today's standards and it ran well on my aging laptop at a solid 120fps.
The game took me almost 12 hours and I made it through with an 87% completion rate. I won't be going back to look for the missing collectables, but for a game that hovers around the $5 mark, I'd easily recommend this one.
Great beat'em'up
it's good
