Personal memories can now be digitized, bought, sold and traded. The last remnants of privacy and intimacy have been swept away in what appears to be a logical progression of the explosive growth of social networks at the beginning of the 21st century. The citizens themselves have accepted this surveillance society in exchange for the comfort only smart technology can provide. This memory economy gives immense power over society to just a handful of people.
Remember Me™ is a 3rd person action adventure where players take on the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories. The authorities, fearful of her knowledge and capabilities arrested Nilin and wiped her memory clean. After her escape from prison, Nilin sets out on a mission to recover her identity, helped by her last and only friend. This search for her past leads to her being hunted by the very people that created this surveillance society.
Key Features
- Speculative, stunning vision of our future – Discover Neo-Paris 2084, where augmented reality and memory digitisation have taken control of peoples’ lives.

This will change characters’ complete perspective on their self-image and the people around them, which can have grave consequences for the world in 2084.

Only if its on sale should you buy this game its meh.
This game stands out as a remarkable experience, showcasing an innovative and highly customizable combat system. Players can tailor their combat techniques and strategies to suit their individual playstyles, allowing for a diverse range of tactics in battles. The flexibility in customization encourages creativity, making each player's approach to combat feel unique and personal, which enhances overall gameplay and engagement.
This game is SO frustrating. It could be a 10/10. The graphics are still very much okay in 2025 even though this game is 12 years old. The story seems amazing. The game design, art direction are SO good.
And then they fuck it all up with a boring, slow, restrained gameplay.
This game could be up there with CyberPunk2077 and Detroit Become Human, but no, they WANT you to break immersion and spend time in blinding white menu screens just so they can give you the litteral illusion of combo customizations. The combo system is one of the worst I've ever seen in video games. And they WANT you to use them. It's your way to break ennemie's stances, and to heal. But god forbid you know the combos by heart: every time to press a button during a fight they start showing you the combo in the bottom of the screen, and there starts what I'd call a 'rythm-game' style minigame where you have to slowly press all the right buttons in the right tempo, or else the combo just doesn't work.
WHY?!!
They had everything to make it a masterpiece. They even had the idea of memory rewinding like in CyberPunk, 10+ years before. But no. They had to ruin it with bullshit combo "building". It's just so frustrating. At that point I just want to watch a glitchless speedrun just so I can watch the story unfold without that clunky bullshit of a fight system.

Ain't going to lie.. this is going to be on my favorite top 15 games of all time. I had sooo much fun playing the game.. the fight combos, hits, you can customize your combos if you want to increase the health regain of damage you can play it your style. The theme of the game especially in the city gave me a vibe of sci-fi and cyberpunk environment combined. I hope we see more games like this
Note: The game at the first 2 hours were a bit glitchy to me. I encountered a couple of glitches while fighting the very first leaper + doing the parkour thing afterwards the fight but overall the game came in 2013 but still fascinating
Def would recommend trying the game for y'all :)
This is an underrated gem. I was bored when I stumbled upon this game years ago in an internet cafe but was not able to finish it. So I bought it here on steam and was able to finish and complete this awesome game. Don't miss out on this game. I think this still holds up today.
I should have played this sooner. what an amazing game this is...the story really grabbed my attention, the player movement is good, i loved being able to change the combo system around for the different encounters. i highly recommend giving this one a go.
Look, it is not completely bad. There is some goody here. Atmosphere, visuals, especially considering game is 10+ yrs old are quite nice.
However, it also all of the things I do not like in a game:
1) timed / reaction input based final executions which are supposed to give a dramatic effects or whatever but not something I like.
2) input/combo based fighting: non-stop respawning enemies protecting elites that goes invisible and constantly pesters you, that you are supposed to "combo" to lower the timer so you can stun and do a few secs of dmg, rinse repeat.... just ends up tiresome and frustrating
Game is probably designed for controller and KBM is not great in general. I don't like to abandon games but once entertainment value of a game exceeds the frustration it cause, gotta let it go.
I think I've been sitting on this game in my library for at least 10 years. I'm happy to report I can max settings (other than supersampling) on my Legion Go and pull 55-90fps for the most part. The game looks great at 1600p and doesn't need anti-aliasing because of this high res. The game world reminds me of The Surge 2.
Big fans of butts. Highly recommend.
Nice game to play in 2025. Short but Great story, decent graphics for the release year. But there are issues with this games, Combat is pretty basic with some combo gimmicks, Camera is out right bad. And unable to skip cutscenes even on Second Playthrough.
Apart from all these gripes, it worth going through this game in 2025.
Fun and well paced. It has a good story too.
-stands out with unique camera angles like old resident evil and final fantasy
-everything flows together well, very pleasant gameplay
Cool Story.
i don't remember a darn thing about this game i have no clue if it's good
I really like and enjoy this game
It’s a linear, story-driven game with a low difficulty level, and the memory remixing parts are impressive
The art design is exactly my taste, and the world-building is very well-crafted
Also soundtrack is outstanding, why wasn’t it sold as a DLC?
Unfortunately, the story has some serious plot holes
I hope this game will have a sequel someday
Did you watch Minority Report and liked it? you'll enjoy this game.
Great game.
Remember Me 9/10

jax is life. never forget jax.
THE MORAL OF THIS GAME CONFOUNDS THE AUDIENCE INTO A PERIPheral that stuns oneself TO REFLECT ON PAST actions and why we shoUld emBRACE THe past to understand the future.+
I just had forgotten the great art design. And of course the controls are dated and it just looks like an open world, but there is much to like.
And now I remember you under rated little gem
Yes.
There were instances where the user cannot see or understand the kind of graphical errors that were showing up on the screen that the uniqueness of this new age battler is nullified.
Liked the concept with the memories, didn't like the normal combat. So it was a bit of a letdown, that there are not that many memery manipulations through the whole thing. Still worth it in the end.
Sadly not as nuanced as I hoped it would be. The beginning was so strong with the heart-string-pulling commercial about Sensen, and escaping the jail. But after that, the game slowly started to get less deep and not talk about the crazy/messed up stuff you do, and instead focus more on getting your memories back and saving the world (like every other game out there). I would have loved for the focus to be on how insane it is to mess with someones memories, and whether or not the ends you go to justify the means. After all. we're literally called an Errorist, just short one letter of a controversial term in today's society!! Luckily the twist ending satisfied me just enough, but the journey to get there was a chore. The combat is quite clunky for me, but it's combo creation mechanics are an interesting idea, and would be cool to see in other Capcom titles like Devil May Cry (maybe Street Fighter, but I don't think people would be happy), or better implemented in a sequel. Despite my gripes, I'd still recommend this game to others, as it stars a solid female lead, which is always awesome to see, and it has a nice ensemble of fairly well voice acted characters.
FRICKIN uh PLAY it??
Great underrated game. worth the price.
The game is fine, the story being the highlight and combat being the frustrating part. Hadn't replayed the game in like 10 years, still worth a play through today and it was cool seeing the Memory Remixing stuff now that Cyberpunk 2077 is a thing because Braindances have a similar vibe to this.
"Remember Me is the worst game I've played – it's a complete disappointment! The combat system is extremely boring and lazy. 'Forget Me' would be a more fitting title. It's the worst Capcom game ever." Biggest regret is buying this piece of shit!
Not for me
Combat is wonky and story is meh. Achievements didn't unlock for me (not first time that happens).
Parkour seems fine
I wish I could recomend it
Gaslighting: The Game
Unfortunately it's unplayable for me. The rewind is terribly slow on controller - taking literally hundreds of turns of the L stick to rewind less than a second.
Remember Me is a special game of the PS3/XBOX360 era. It was released like a week before The Last of Us, so there are few who still remember what it was like exploring the streets of Neo-Paris.
While futuristic setting and fighting genre of games are extremely out of my comfort zone, I wanted to play this game as it is probably DONTNOD's Magnum Opus.
The game was in development for 5 years and oh boy you can tell that there were a lot of cuts and changes as there are a lot of stuff that feels unpolished, from gameplay to story.
The game tries to take itself seriously with quotes before episodes and with some cutscenes while having goofy character names such as Kid X-Mas and Headache Tommy etc. and cringe dialogues at times.
Gameplay feels a lot better than some new titles but it is clear that they made a lot of changes to this too as it doesn't feel like the original idea of the creatives.
From an artistic standpoint, it is incredible how DONTNOD created this futuristic version of Paris and filled it with life... and death. Also, the game's graphics are holding up perfectly, even in 2025
The memory remixing, the way you can customize your pressens and the jpeg hints on the map about hidden items are all unique parts of the game and were refreshing to see.
I wasn't really invested in the story in the first place but honestly, hands down, as it is an interesting game and remains so until the very end. It really made me think about what memories I'd exchange myself and what cost I'd have to pay for such actions if I was living in this world.
The writers had a fantastic idea about the world we live in 2084. Would you sacrifice your most beloved memory in exchange for money or to get rid of pain and suffering? Would you want to be someone who doesn't remember their whole life in exchange for medical treatment? For paying off mortgage? Or to avoid a speeding ticket?
One thing is for sure. I enjoyed my time with this game and I'll definitely remember it.
Local memory hunter kicks man so hard he forgets, more news at 11. Pretty good.
8/10
Not Recommended
Decided to try out some of DON'T NOD's games after falling deeply in love with Life is Strange. Remember Me is a very creative narrative driven game with surprising twists and morally grey moments, but what's more impressive is the fact that this is literally their first game. I just have to appreciate how much they dedicated into making the game feels cinematic. Even now, after the game was out for 12 years the graphics and world designs still hold up surprisingly well.
★★★★ out of 5
◈◈✦◈◈
5/10 combat
enemies will attack you one at a time, just keep your finger on the dodge button
3/10 level design
imagine when you are searching for a collectible and a cutscene starts, locking you out of the previous zone
now imagine that all the time
7/10 parkour
at least the parkour puzzles are decent
overall score: 2 lemons out of 5
Haven't played for 12 years and it still has my 2013 save files!
It's an odd and junky beat-em-up game with even less appealing parkour. But something clicks and I like it! Should be heavily discounted though, never buy for a full price.
Let me preface this by saying why I don't recommend this: it's mid
The setting and art have a fun direction, the premise has potential, the moral of the plot is good, the progression has some interesting ideas. Unfortunately the execution on everything is just passable.
The premise with the memory altering etc, begs for a more open-world setting, at least to the degree that deus es has, with optional routes through the maps, here its extremely linear, either its combat, or its platforming, or whatever else, you have no options.
The gameplay, feels like it reached a quality where it passed, but was never considered if it should be improved further. The element of swapping out what effect certain steps in a combo have is novel, but executing the combos themselves is a nightmare, its almost impossible to pull off the longer, more interesting ones without being interrupted. You could hypothetically only use the x-x-x combo, and have it regen power pressen cd and hp. The enemies and encounters also almost always only have one, maybe two ways to beat them. The worse fights are hard-locked behind certain ability usages.
The platforming feels like it also just barely made the cut. Nillin does not feel as acrobatic when I run, as when I shimmy, mantle or fight...? why? It feels very sticky and slow, but never 'hard'.
The writing for the characters is mid as well, the plot is ok, 'insert star wars skywalker family drama reference here', but I never actually care about anyone I am introduced to. You then have these introspection monologues between chapters that try to force a perspective on you. A good writer will make the most boring plot fun, a boring writer will make the most interesting plot, also boring.
The one thing I can absolutely give the game props for are two things, firstly, the 'memory effects' with the weird blocky glitching, are a really cool aesthetic, even if they make 0 sense. (you are moving and shooting things with the power of MEMORIES!) Finally, Nilin's character design is about as 'Cyberpunk Lara Croft' as one might want it. I like it.
Nice game very scalable to different hardware
Game has a great foundation with its story and art direction. And the depiction of cyberpunk Paris is gorgeous from an artistic point of view, but overall the execution or final result is not the best. Nevertheless, it's a cool game, and a detail that I like seeing it's some of Max's face animations or likeness in Nilin <3
I think this game should be listed as one of Life is Strange games. The story, graphics and soundtrack are amazing! This game teaches you an important lesson - all memories are important, you can't erase all bad memories to force yourself to be happy. The gameplay is really unique and easy-to-learn, you can build your own playstyle. Despite all its flaws with repetative and cliche moments, magnetic platforming, game leaves you with a warm, hopeful feeling.
Played this game on controller, so I didn't had any problems with battles and remixes. Just remember, if you want to interact with an object in Memory Remix, slide your stick up or down when you see orange glitches.
loved this game on the PS3, and still love it now. great story and game play in my view.
Nice game!. It has a good artistic design, a great atmosphere with incredible backgrounds. A good history and amazing soundtrack...... but not everything is good. The camera control is horrible especially in combats. ( It is a problem in many games with third person view and free camera). The combos system is decent, not superb but decent.
Yes I like
Best 3 dollars I ever spent. Combat is fluid enjoyed the story great game to try if you are running out of things to play :)
This is a great, underrated cyberpunk game that tackles interesting and thought-provoking topics. The protagonist reflects on her own actions, and the story is exceptional—something that’s incredibly rare these days.
The only downside is the combat system. It’s a combat-heavy game where you build combos to effectively defeat your enemies. While this might seem cool at first, after a few hours, it becomes repetitive, and the gameplay devolves into memorizing and repeating combos over and over again. However, if you decide not to focus too much on the combat, stay for the story—it won’t disappoint.
Criminally underrated game. The combat sequences are a ton of fun to customize, the visuals are on point, and the vibes are unmatched.
This is an otherwise fascinating game let down by its movement controls, that seem to be some kind of nausea simulator. It's disappointing how many games are weighed down by head bob and weird forced movement when the story and characters are otherwise compelling. This game presents a whole gorgeous neo-Paris city to look at, that you can barely look at because the view keeps being forced one way or another.
This game deserves far more credit than it gets. Remember Me is a gem from last generation, it has it flaws sure but its still unique and beautiful. Honestly wish they would make sequel. This game had so much potential it’s really sad that not too many people remember this game.
