This combines the first and second encounters, adding even more while staying true to the original—a true masterpiece. I’d definitely recommend everyone give it a serious try. You don’t know what you’re missing!
Serious Ham.

> I really want for someone to be Serious.
Sam:
Its fun
Great game
we getting serious
I was looking forward playing this game but left out disappointed how it turned out. Never thought I would even give out a thumbs down on the Serious Sam game but here I am. So here are the pros and cons.
Pros:
Gameplay is still as good as the rest.
New weapons, the first thought is "Oh joy! More new toys to play with!"
New campaign.
New enemies.
Cons:
Some enemies are somewhat tanky. Kleers and Kamikazes surprisingly took my double barrel shotgun was suppose to be one shot, but they took it. Unless I'm at a kissing range, its one shot.
New campaign convinced me that is unbalanced, especially on Serious dificulty, I tried many times to give it a try and wanted to believe its a good map, but I was convinced the devs never tested it out and just put in whatever is on their mind without considering to play it themselves. I played challenging mods that is unfair and yet this one proves to be more harder than the ones I played.
New weapons, turns out some are okay but then there are some that just suck. Mine gun is unnecessary to add, because it not only activates when enemies trip it, it activates when YOU trip it. Plus, we prefer shoot to kill, not shoot to wait for kill.
I'm dropping this game for sure, until I know theres a major update on Bright Island that balancing has improved, I'll reconsider coming back.
The Classic
One of the best games ever made. Can't recommend it enough. A once a year playthrough is a must.

Excellent co-op shooter, too bad it's short.
this is the only way to play the classic versions of serious sam on steam, you get them for free [tfe and tse] among with a new campaign exclusive to serious sam evolution called bright island, among that, a bunch of new extra content has been added, new weapons, new enemies, and more, also introducing steam workshop support, overall this is probably one of the best serious sam games ive ever seen, i heavily reccomend this
if your wondering if its worth it to get revolution over the originals, revolution also gives you the original games so you don't have to pay twice. Revolution just gives you extra stuff.
This game is fun for about 4 levels and then is really annoying.
Seriously awesome
Runs worse than GTA 5
Serious Sam Fusion is pretty much the same thing but better
Много добра игра, която съчетава двете ми любими игри в една!
Love it or hate it, Serious Sam is serious history. Croteam was the first developer to combine first-person shooter mechanics with massive horde gameplay, lead by a wise-cracking main character similar to Duke Nukem at a time when the genre had more or less stagnated into vent crawling or crate smashing. This is a game that does not take itself... ahem... seriously. But the combat is anything but laid back. Nobody had ever done this kind of thing before, not with maps this large, or with enemy counts this high. As a kid, I remember sweating profusely while playing, such were the intensity of the encounters (to clarify, I was in great shape). Have you ever concentrated on something for so long and with such persistence that you became physically exhausted? Serious Sam is that kind of game.
Yes, every level can be boiled down to, "enter area, explore left or right to find item to return to main area, unlock door, proceed" or "go from point A to point B without dying" or "fight this boss". But if it ain't broke, you know? It helps that the environments are very easy on the eyes. The main campaign is set in ancient Egypt, which works admirably, but it's the expansion, set in three unique biomes, where the designers really found their footing. This was a time when addon content was at least as big as or even bigger than the main game. "The Second Encounter" effectively doubles your arsenal and the alien enemy roster, with massively scaled maps to accommodate them.
SE is where Croteam would first let slip their true colors in regards to storytelling-- each game ends on a cliffhanger, and, rather than receiving a proper conclusion where Mental is defeated, they would proceed (starting with BFE) to delve into bizarre wacko prequel territory, filling in the margins of their own universe. Which is a shame, as no matter how much butt we kick in 3, 4, and Siberian Mayhem, the Earth still gets destroyed, leading to the beginning of TFE (SS1).
This version also contains a new campaign, which, while elevating Serious Sam's bare-bones narrative to a compelling degree (at least by the standards of the series), I nonetheless could not be bothered to finish due to broken difficulty.
It's also worth mentioning that Serious Sam was way ahead of its time in terms of inclusiveness, featuring a mentally handicapped lead character. Take that, ableist aliens.
It's just so good, man. Serious Sam: TFE & TSE are some of the most underrated shooters of all time. Just do yourself a favor and try it if the pictures look interesting. I promise you won't be disappointed. For fans of boomer shooters, arena shooters & games that test your aiming & maneuvering skills.
TIME TO GET SERIOUS!
Serious sam is one of those few endearing old shooters that despite its weird balancing or flat combat progression, its still an amazing game to play from time to time. classics revolution includes remasters of both TFE and TSE. both are widely different from each other so its better to start reviewing each one
THE FIRST ENCOUNTER
the first encounter is... brain damage-enducing to say the least. while the earlier parts of the game are quite amazing, later on the game becomes a total slog and get monotonous really quickly. if you've played the first level, you've basically played all of them. its that simple. The first encounter had obvious growing pains but i never thought it was this bad. the scenery doesn't change at all leading to every map looking the same and helping the game feel so much more of just doing the same thing over and over again. The final bossfight also made me want to pull my hair out with its boring gimmicks. Its the Halo CE of the serious sam franchise. Impressive at the time but later games were so much more better.
THE SECOND ENCOUNTER
TSE is obviously my favourite of the two. the game is broken up into 3 different parts and each part looks majestic. from mayan aztecs to a better version of egypt and even cathedrals. TSE also majorly overhauls the combat design with more (dare i say) better weapons than previously with the introduction of the flamethrower, the sniper and so much more.
overall, this collection is pretty cheap so its always worth the money. go play!
WE LOVE SAM SERIOUSLY
I like serious Game dude
Can i have serious sam 4
i poor
Thanks you Serious
idk what to say its just amazing
When the game opens with clown music, you know you're in for a good time.
I love these games. The HD remakes are cool, but I always get back to the classics for some reason. They are just brainless fun and there are so many secrets to discover.
Serious Sam Classics: Revolution is a really fun remix of the classic games ! It's fire trust me :)
[h3]Classic shooter.
prefer it over the HD releases tbh
i love serious sam
Legendary games serious sam the first and the second encounter in one launcher
classic. my childhood's game
This game hates you more than LISA
seroius
A true remaster of the classics.
The original First and Second Encounter combined, polished up and modernized.
Highly recommended as an unadulterated modern replacement for the originals.
SAM I AM!
Serious Sam Fusion if they finished it.
Can officially confirm (though, I've known this for 20+ years) that Serious Sam is not a serious game. xD It's actually very goofy.
Seriously... I don't know what they were thinking with this title. :D
Good game
Good remake but nothing more.
..
Extremly cheap when on sale, it's really nice to play, a funny version of doom, just destroy everything !
Best game ever
Run , Shoot Shoot Shoot Shoot , Run that's about it cool game a bit repetitive but def worth it
Sadly even on a pretty good computer the special campaign bright island lags in splitscreen which I think is really stupid because its really not that intense compared to the other campaigns and it's not cause of the enemy count like some places just lag for the sake of it
I prefer this version than the HD.
For me the better way to play serious sam classic.
i love the part when sam says "im about to get serious..... sam. classics." and starts revolutioning everywhere
Seriously. This game is sam.
delightfully unserious
