This was a game from my childhood, i do find this game very charming in aesthetics and it's fun for kids and ages above, having decent platforming challenges and a lot of cool setpieces. While this game isn't very challenging (i completed it in about 2.8 hours) it's still such a fun nostalgic romp, good on Sega for making this remake.

This is a great re-imagining of a classic platformer. The game has tight controls and is all-around charming. The only negative thing i could say is that the game is a lot easier than it's older brother from the 90's. If you're into Disney and or Platformers, then give it a go! This one doesn't disappoint.

hard, confusing, ad level design. one of the worst platformer games if i've ever played.

Um ótimo remake do original. Sua apresentação ajuda bastante a dar ideia de jogar um curta fantasioso do Mickey, o que já era o forte do jogo original e aqui é ainda melhor. Os únicos poréns são a falta de novidades e a baixa duração, o que me faz recomendar o jogo apenas em promoções.

There's so much better platformers out there. It's a very easy game and enemy's hit boxes seems way off. Once you get the game running properly by editing the game.exe properties or editing the config file, it feels like any indie devs first attempt at a platformer.
It felt way better on the Master System in 1991 😆
I only finished it because it was easily completed achievements.

Every time I try to play this game all I Get is a white screen and it wont go away this game is unplayable for me does anyone know how to fix this

I recommend it if you are looking for something very quick. The standout here is the levels, which are colorful and unique. The gameplay is very light, with mechanics that are familiar to anyone who has touched a game controller. You essentially jump and throw things while trying to get to the end of the stages. Total length is somewhere around the two hour mark I think, with some optional things to collect if you would like.

It's a good game

A great game reviving the nostalgia of the good old days of the Sega Genesis.

A respectful reworked experience of the classic Castle of Illusion MegaDrive game.
It feels familiar without going for a full 1:1 with only a lick off paint.
It's short and sweet and easier than the original MD game. The whole presentation is very well put together, with voice acting and updated music. The classic music is also available.

Pros:
+ A Great Remake of the original Castle of Illusion
+ Slick Controls and Great Platforming
+ Lots of levels to dig into
+ Bosses are a welcome distraction
+ Amazing on Steam Deck

Cons:
- The final boss is very tedious

Amazing reimagining of an underrated Sega platformer. One of Mickey's finest endeavors if I do so say so, only beat by his adventures in Kingdom Hearts.

If you like like me grew up playing all the Disney licensed platform game's like DuckTales, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, Quackshop, Fantasia, The Magical Quest, just to name a few, then Castle of Illusion is definitely worth playing. I was looking for that old school Disney style platform game and found what I was looking for. I enjoyed my time with Castle of Illusion.

Absolutely AMAZING. One of the most visually impressive games out there.
Super fun to play platform scroller with a ton of challenges to over come.
The animations, sound track and game makes you feel you are watching a Disney movie, a classic for all ages.

Good game, Act 3 was really fun. Rage inducing at times

Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusion was one of my favorite games when I was a kid. I was hesitant at first to buy the game cause I was afraid it would ruin my experience, but the remake is just as great.

I related to many parts of the original version while playing but there are also some new features that made it even better and more enjoyable. The art is splendid as expected from a Sega game, and the narration in the background gave the game a sweet ambiance. I enjoyed the added 3D platforms in some parts and some new illusions that weren't there before.
It's a lovely game and would recommend it for all players, even those who have never played the original one.

They made a good job in this game, you can almost remember every bit of the experience you had when you played the original castle of illusion and because of that you can also remember all what they did not include from the original. Still highly recommended, but they can make a better remake though. Please make a Quackshot remake too.

This game is a short nostalgia trip, but somehow still holds up today. The graphics are actually quite impressive. Little to no bugs or anything. Granted, $15 is a steep price for a game that takes only a few hours to 100%, but it goes on sale for $3 often, so it’s not a bad buy as a fun game.

Chill game, but way too short. If you are into 2D games, this is cool.
