This game was peak when I was a child and peak when im a man. Some networking issues but not major. Nom Nom Galaxy 2 NOW !! ! !
I FACK'N LOVE SOUP
A fun blend of puzzle and strategy, combined with platforming action, farming, mining, and action! The S.O.O.P. mode opens up the game so that you can perfect your factory to become as efficient as it possibly can without worrying about being attacked every few minutes. Would highly recommend to people who like basic crafting paired with modular "base" customisation. Plays better with a controller than it does with a keyboard.
Nom Nom Galaxy had potential to be an amazing game. I like the exponential soup recipes.
I first discovered it when it was free on Playstation Plus. You used to have to complete 2 (fairly long to a low attention span person) tutorials in order to unlock multiplayer but as of recently it is just 1. I loved this game a lot, making soup was fun. I liked punching my plants and re-planting more, it got exponential.
The problem though is that at the end of each in-game day, all items (ingredients) on the ground despawn. This means it is impossible to achieve complete automation. All your robots can do is move the ingredients you toss to them or the conveyor belts move to them and if the day ends before your robot can grab/replant an ingredient then it despawns.
I have high hopes for this game, as not too too long ago the devs released an "update" (more like a patch/fix). I hope that the developers will add a opt-in feature where we can have items not despawn at the end of each day. It was necesary on the Playstation, it is not necessary on a computer. This is the only flaw I have with this game.
I really want to reccommend this game but I just can't because of that 1 mechanic. I've never gotten more than a few levels in the next Gravlock because I always end up becoming too self-aware and realizing that I will never be able to thrive in Nom Nom Galaxy, for I will just be constantly fighting mobs and harvesting plants as I can never achieve true automation due to my ingredients on the ground despawning at the end of each day.
After you 'complete' a planet/level in this game, you unlock a gamemode called S.O.O.P and in that there is no rival soup companies so you can just relax and play the game at your own pace. I like this gamemode a lot, also there is Photo Mode so you can take a screenshot of your entire factory zoomed out.
its is so fun to play its lots of fun me and my kid and husband will take turns its the best
Relax and make some soup

Great casual fun in co-op
Unique and fun game, based on map knowledge, speed, and automation. Yes, the universe is just a big soup waiting to be canned and sold. Fun street fighter vs food ingredients vibe.
Game speed tied to framerate makes it unfortunately pretty unplayable, especially when a modern standard 2k or 4k resolution also somehow dramatically slows the game down. It's a shame because I remember really enjoying this on console when it first came out. Mix the sluggishness with some old-school slow-down design (like the pointless day system) leaves a potential hidden gem game in the past.
It's such a shame, but I have to rate this down for one single reason...
Online Multiplayer is FUBAR, and Q-Games have moved on to other projects, so it doesn't look like they'll fix it.
The game itself is a pretty neat and casual little Soup Factory/Alien Slaying arcade game. But without friends, its just not worth getting into.
