Tomb raider games is amazing i love Lara croft so much i have her in my heart.

People say its buggy and glitchy but when you ignore it or you dont have it its really rich in perspectives, the detail in each level and platforming is out of this world, Lara Crofts model and her dialouge is iconic and rememberable so overall enjoy this game, its even better with mods, I will prefer The Restoration Project from Rebornshadow and readded dual guns these mods are from Core Design Modding.

By far, this is the best TR game and I'm glad that it's having a remake.
THIS GAME. This game is not "one of", it's not even "the", it's "THEE" BEST game in this whole franchise, and it's not like even remotely close. I have and will continue to die on this hill. It's absolutely brilliant, I'd give it an 11/10 if I could, it's just that good. Seriously, don't listen to the stigma and play it for yourself, honestly,
The Soundtrack: BANGER
The Story: BRILLIANT, High Stakes and a satisfying ending
The Controls: IMPROVED, It's a little floaty but honestly I'm happy it's no longer tank controls or that I'm spending 3 minutes at a time to align myself pixel perfectly with a switch to interact with it like TR3.
The Graphics: GREAT, For a game over twenty years old this game still manages to look solid and does a great job at mood setting.
The Options: GREAT, Considering the other five games in the classic series didn't have any.
The Mechanics: STRANGE BUT GOOD, RPG style elements was a bold choice for an adventure game but I think it's fun and rewarding. The new inventory is a bit of a strange case but I think the buying and selling of equipment is something that works well here.
The Bugs: A FEW, somehow in my little marathon of playing the classic series, this is one of the least buggy and required the least amount of restarts, but I don't know if that was just a Dosbox thing for the older games to be fair.
Summary: Gawk Gawk, Rose Tinted Glasses, Nostalgia, Play this game it's sick.
such an underrated game, great puzzles and beauitful enviroments. i cannot wait to see it remastered and in all its glory, with HD textures

With a game implementing such great features to help with climbing (despite the control scheme being majorly outdated/unorthodox), it still pains me to say this game is a TR game with tank controls. Not only that, but this game's tank controls are genuinely WORSE than the previous THREE TR games in the series. I don't know how they managed that, but it's amazing. Game also needs tweaking in the options just to run at all on newer machines.

This IS my favourite Tomb Raider game by a distance. You MUST get either the restoration or definitive edition mods!
The story is excellent. The levels are great. Lara's voice and attitude is great. The music is worth it on its own. The ambience of Paris is great. I could go on... I WILL play this one again!
Just go into it with an open mind and ignore all the hate over the years. It really is a great game (with mods). Its just sad that there are no more like this.
Any semblance of a good idea is completely lost with the god awful controls.
Please bring this game out again remastered after you patch all the MANY.MANY.MANY Glitches.bugs,dropots and crashes. Do someting about the MOVEMENT/MOVEMENT WITH WEAPONS. Then when that is properly complete FIND THE PERSON OR PERSONS responsible for creating the KURTIS TRENT CHARACTER AND BAN HIM OR HER from ever participating in game creation again. DO THE TOMBRAIDER FANS A FAVOR!!!
ps: i gave this a NO because of all the bugs of all kinds in this game. (including loading problems)

DON'T BUY
Just don't buy because the game won't start unless u change the setting and WE ARE NOT BUYING THE GAMES FOR TROUBLES. Died infinite times at the starting place itself. I know what should do and how to do but the control and camera is completely mess up and unplayable.
As much as I really like this game, it's level design, style and music. It's configuration is absolute trash for PC users.
I shouldn't need a guide on some random forum to tell me how to make the game playable. And not only that, the game has bugged on me multiple times, despite following the guides.
I've had multiple times in which a specific place in the level will immediately crash my game (The pillar with med-kit in the Church is one example). I accidentally saved during one of the said crashes and now my load won't work, meaning I have to start from the beginning again...
It's so disappointing considering how hard the game is on PS2, the button config actually makes this game enjoyable and I'd love to play more but knowing I have to start again for the 3rd time since I got this game... I have no motivation to play at all now :(((
best game ever made
Well, Tomb Raider fans know what's going on with this game.
It's not my thing. The controls can make you really aggressive. Starting the game is also scary.
As a big fan of the series, this is one of the titles that bring me the best memories, as it was the first game I finished when I was a kid. Today, having played it after all these years, it sends me back to those dearest days :)
In a more technical side of things, the playability has some frustrating moments, like the initial acceleration when starting to run (what is that?), maybe one of the most annoying issues with the game. The soundtrack is great, the levels are fine, boss fights are not that good. Also, the strength system could be better. You have to do some pointless things to become stronger, and many of them are not easy to figure out.
Having that said, I'm happy I played it again after all these years. It's still a game I like a lot!
I just bought the game and I can't play it, I get to the menu screen hit play an, then an error and it won't open.
Angel of Darkness is the best Tomb Raider game. Story line is the greatest. Controls are clunky but that does not hinder the game. Makes the games even better in my opinion.
