great like other tomb raider games.
we had a lof of tombs in shadows with fantastic design in art and puzzle and far better than two previous games, but in shadow we had very big problem and that was action!
quality and quantity of action in the game had a very big downfall form rise!
i dont know why they done this terrible decision, if just action was improve from rise , shadow become best in series and beat every action adventure games but now shadow is just a good game not above.
A Genuine Great Experience as a Adventure Story-Telling Action Game. Had Fun playing discovering history. Had a few hicups on the fps in crowded places but overall run pretty well. 8/10 Game
8/10
The best in the Survivor Trilogy. This one actually feels like a Tomb Raider game.
Challenge tombs and exploration are MUCH better this time around, thanks to having an option to completely turn off puzzle clues and that stupid white paint.
Combat is bit of a let-down. It feels off somehow, there's very little of it and it's really easy even when playing on hard.
Been a fan of the TR series for a long time but this game just didn't feel as fun as the previous ones. It feels very repetitive, the combat is not exciting as before and the story isn't as engaging.
It's similar to the previous tomb raiders, only better. The story is 50/50. The combat is decent. Parkour is good.
after the first 3 hours it gets tedious, the story is kinda boring , the combat is meh, the tombs are nice but they either are too short or long and tedious
good crafting system
good performance no sttuter great graphics
great climbing physics and stealth system
great progression system and nice skill tree thoughtfull
great puzzle
Great game, the history is not the best, the gameplay and exploration are really good some of them very hard.
> Graphics is amazing , can't believe it's 7 years old
> The puzzles are fun to solve not too hard
> The combat is ok, the stealth system has been improved enemy AI still dumb
But the game story and character is boring, weakest of the trilogy
Overall fun adventure game
8/10
Good:
- Visuals are often beautiful
- Some puzzles are nice
Bad:
- Storyline is terrible
- Slow gameplay
- Clunky controls
- Way too many cutscenes
- Too much grinding and upgrading skills is almost useless
All in all incredibly boring game.
Bad game, with terrible "scripted" platforming, horrendous story and dialogues. I don't know why I thought it's going to be better than 2 previous, equally bad games.
It's a pretty fun game. The mechanics and controls are not on par with modern games but for the period it's fine. Plus, the graphics are amazing with some epic views.
Overall pretty fun to play. The story is a worthy end to the series.
The graphics are a lot better from Rise. I'd recommend ensuring volumetric lighting and ultra or high textures are enabled.
Not a bad game, just isn't as good as the first 2 in the survivor series.
Great game. Stunning visuals and hard puzzles.
I really want to love this game, but I cannot. I find the game very lacklustre in comparison to its two predecessors, which I think to be masterpieces of games. This one seems to be lacking the same heart and depth that those first two seemed to have. The world is much less engaging, the story a bit of a slog, and the combat not as interesting.
The game is fine, but it certainly is not what I would call good. If you are looking for an action/adventure game, play the first two over this.

Intro
It's about on par with Rise of the Tomb Raider. But just like that game, it still doesn't make genuine innovations over Tomb Raider (2013) and instead, just makes some of the gameplay aspects less convenient, particularly the open world. Just like Rise of the Tomb Raider, if you're playing for the combat, story and tomb raiding, those aspects are still up to par. With that being said, I really do want a new Tomb Raider title, but one that's linear. One that combines all three aspects I listed above, into one well-paced package. I believe that sort of title, would bring in Classic Tomb Raider players in as well.
Positives
+ Good story.
+ New Game+.
+ Good weapon variety.
+ Weapons have great impact.
+ Great aesthetics and graphics.
+ There's now an option to allow QTEs that would normally have to be repeatedly tapped to be held down.
+ There's now three different difficulty sliders. One for combat, exploration and puzzle respectively. This is helpful, as it allows you to adjust which aspect of the game you're interested in the most.
Negatives
- Enemies can now dodge melee attacks. Which makes doing melee attacks useless in the first place.
- Weapon upgrades in each category are now no longer carried across all weapons of that category.
- Each item requires specific materials in order to be crafted. Which makes gathering materials inconvenient.
- A lot of the new movement mechanics are just different contextual ways to traverse the levels. They don't actually add to the gameplay.

- história forte, com elementos intensos como m#rte, sacrifícios, e monstros;
- mods (sensacionais);
- missões secundárias diversificadas.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider Review – 49 Hours In
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
After 49 hours in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, I’ve unraveled mysteries, solved countless puzzles, and witnessed Lara’s transformation into the Tomb Raider we know and love. This game combines gorgeous visuals, challenging gameplay, and an engaging story, though it’s not without a few bumps along the way.

Gameplay – Thrilling Exploration and Combat
The game excels in blending exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving. The tombs are a standout, offering intricate designs and clever challenges. Combat leans heavily on stealth, which suits the tone but might feel repetitive over time. There’s a good mix of story-driven missions and open-world elements that keep things fresh.

World – Stunning and Immersive
The world is breathtaking, with dense jungles, hidden ruins, and lively towns that feel alive. The attention to detail is incredible, making every area a joy to explore. Paired with great sound design and an atmospheric score, the game pulls you into its world effortlessly.

Highlights – What Stands Out
✔️ Beautiful environments that beg to be explored.
✔️ Tombs and puzzles are well-designed and rewarding.
✔️ A strong, personal story for Lara.
✔️ Plenty of collectibles and side content for completionists.

Cons – A Few Stumbles
❌ Combat can get repetitive and feels less dynamic compared to earlier entries.
❌ Some areas of the story feel rushed, with supporting characters not getting enough depth.

Final Thoughts – A Worthy Adventure
Shadow of the Tomb Raider delivers a satisfying conclusion to Lara’s origin trilogy. It’s a stunning, immersive adventure with moments of brilliance, even if it doesn’t always hit the mark. If you’re a fan of exploration-heavy games with a cinematic flair, it’s definitely worth your time.
Recommended for fans of action-adventure games and those who love solving puzzles in stunning environments!

great game .. must have , must play ... excelent adventure , with this one i end the reboot trilogy , and i got to say im satisfied with it ... loved it :)
I'm off to a rough start on this one. Though I've enjoyed the first two games in this franchise's reboot, this third one has been an unpleasant play because of a bug. During my second session, dialogue is muted and no subtitles appear if I enable those to understand what's being said; I missed the entire conversation of a cutscene. I looked online to find a fix, and found a solution on Reddit [https://www.reddit.com/r/TombRaider/comments/k2rgwe/shadow_of_the_tomb_raider_has_no_voice_in/?rdt=59115]. Although it fixed the bug, the game has to be in French. Turning the language back to English brought back the muted dialogue issue. For a story-driven game like this, dialogue is an important part of the experience. Adding the French language takes some time to download, and it seems I need to redownload it after having switched back to English. It seems I've spent more time waiting on downloads to "fix" a bug than play time.
I am not sufficiently qualified to comment on the technical aspects of Shadow of the Tomb Raider but I can say it has been one of my favourite games for pure entertainment. If you are looking for a temporary escape from the world you live in then I highly recommend this game. I bought the game in 2018 when it first came out and here I am still playing it. The game has also been great value for the money in my case. At 252 hours play time I'm at about $0..25 per hour for the entertainment cost. Cheers!
God, what a bore of a game, really.
TLDR; game sucks, the writing makes this game by far the most unengaging piece of media I've ever had the displeasure of witnessing, and yet another disappointing Tomb Raider game. Forgettable.
__________________
Having bought this on Steam in hopes that maybe my memory was serving me wrong and that there may be some redeeming qualities to this installment, I have indeed found.... just one. The graphics. Everything else just screamed a project that wasn't worth the effort of making. Significant plot points happen simply because Lara has had yet another blunder and caused another apocalypse, and because the game needed her to make the decisions to right her wrongs. Seems pretty simple, yeah? Well, as simple as it is, the game does not allow the player to experience those decisions, instead only letting them run around and solve mid-tier puzzles in what few optional tombs there are, while the rest is dedicated to scavenging and hunting just so that you think you have an upper hand in combat.
Which, in hindsight, is always in your favor.
The characters are beyond boring, and so infuriatingly shallow. All of them are magically okay with everything that Lara does, always bending in order for the plot to progress as fast and smooth as possible. Once again we have Jonah, a supposed companion that gets constantly kicked off to the side to exist as a reminder — Lara still has friends, guys! And now he's got some romance going on! Isn't that lovely! No one cares, oh my God. I wish Jonah was a more prominent character ever since the previous games, but oh well. Beggars can't be choosers. All of the characters are just there to be there, and that's pretty much it.
The environments are beautiful, that much I can give this game. The exploration and running around one or the other area is enjoyable to a degree, until you remember that this is technically an open-world Tomb Raider game, and that you maybe need to find a tomb and— oh... you don't have a shotgun, or any other small equipment that you may unlock closer to the end of the game. It poses itself as a replayable game, yet how perfectly linear this non-linear installment is, it is simply a drag to complete. Once you beat the main game, you're done. Only few and far between really make your brain whirr trying to figure the solution out.
A disappointing game. Buy if you really want to.
This game was truly spectacular. The plot was delightfully rich, visuals stunning, gameplay pretty awesome. Def recommend playing with the settings to get the right graphics setup bc it is WORTH IT.
ALL HAIL LARA
The next instalment in the Tombraider re-make series, the game brings the same things from the hit original with a new and in-depth story line. While each mission is fairly linear and it is by and large more of the same thing, it's irrelevant since the game is enjoyed by the incredibly satisfying ability to traverse the landscape coupled with the incredible graphics, scenery and story telling to make it very enjoyable. Oh and you are Lara Croft, the badass who gets to take out tons of baddies in glorious style while occasionally solving some puzzles.
The game gives me a marvellous graphic without trying to explode my PC, 10/10 for that. However, compared to both prequels, unfortunately, Shadow of the Tomb Raider is still a climbing simulator with just more puzzles and fewer combats; nothing new so far.
Although the story of Shadow of the Tomb Raider is not as bad and boring as Rise of Tomb Raider, the game still offers a shallow story. The plot feels uninspired and lacks depth. In this game, Lara is not faced with inevitable threats or intense stakes as in Tomb Raider (2018), it's just a bland adventure with various puzzles.
They "OBVIOUSLY" and excessively added killing and dying scenes to make the game more dramatic (I guess), but it feels forced and overdone. Players don't care about those minor characters, I can confidently say that. In Tomb Raider (2018), the death of one character leads Lara Croft to be who she is, but the numerous deaths in this game feel hollow and unimportant, failing to leave a meaningful impact on the story.
With combat largely removed and a stronger focus on puzzles, the skills in Shadow of the Tomb Raider become redundant. Players can easily complete the game without utilizing any of the available skills, as none of the puzzles require specific abilities to solve and most combats can be done easily.
Well, based on what I have written, a negative review might seem fitting at first glance. However, it’s clear that Shadow of the Tomb Raider has a certain charm that sets it apart. While many aspects of the game may not reach their best, they also aren't the worst. Unlike Rise of the Tomb Raider, which I need to force myself to complete the game, Shadow of the Tomb Raider surprisingly maintains a steady, albeit slow, rhythm that gently pulls me along. It may not be consistently exciting, but its pacing has a subtle allure that carries me to the end in a surprisingly satisfying way.
Six hours in, having a very good time. The story is good, the ruins are very detailed. In terms of gameplay, I had a few situation where I could not find the path easily but as of now, I did not have to look up anything. I run it on Linux, with normal Proton, a RX 6800, Ultra settings give me ~120 - 135 fps on 1440p.
Great finale for a great journey. A survivor was born indeed.
instructions unclear but overall the game is entertaining.
Big fan of these Tomb Raider series. The game is linear enough to keep the main objectives easy to identify and simple to figure out. There are alot of achievements and stuff to collect, side missions and other challenges. The Tombs and Enemies are unique and i thought overall it was a fun experience and I'm only 60% done.
Great game to finish off the trilogy. The combat, especially the stealth sections, are the best part of the game and are extremely fun to battle through. Like all of the 2013 reboot games though you should play on the hardest level to get the best challenge. The visuals and setting are some of the best I've seen, especially the underwater temple and Incan village levels. Just the jungle setting in general rivals the first game's Pacific War island setting. The platforming has new and improved features, both quality of life and opening up new ways to platform. The DLC tombs and quests are improved from the first two games (although the Baba Yaga quest in the 2nd game is still probably the best of the series itself). If you like first two games of the series then you will love this game too. If you disliked the first two, you probably won't enjoy this one either. 9/10.
One of the best Tomb Raider in history. It is my favourite series i've been playing it since first TR
Shadow Of The Tomb Raider was an amazing game. The story was amazing. Beautiful breathtaking graphics. The combat and stealth system was great, You can use mud to hide, it was cool. The puzzles were sometimes difficult and sometimes not. The jungle environment and buildings in Peru are beautiful. That's the shame, that this game was the final Tomb Raider Reboot Series. Goodbye, Lara Croft. We'll see on the remastered version. 10/10
outstanding game. great historical research work went into this game. the scale of the game is always epic as usual
Graphics Looks Cool and beautiful 9/10
Overall, the game is enjoyable, but the story feels a bit lacking the depth and engagement I was hoping for. The gameplay mechanics have seen some improvements, though some aspects still feel a bit clunky and combat feels lacking. I’m not a fan of the merchant system, it feels unnecessary and disrupts the flow of the game and doesn't feel linear, like its trying be something its not. Additionally, there are occasional audio glitches, particularly during map transitions. Despite these issues, the game still offers a solid experience and is worth playing for fans of the Tomb raider series. That said, story-wise and even in terms of combat engagement, I personally prefer Tomb Raider 2013.
First of all the environments are fantastic and edios/crystal have outdone themselves here but this is probably the weakest in the new trilogy. I can't quite put my finger on it but this feels to have less exploration - it's a lot more on rails and although the premise is good (Lara starts the apocolypse by accident - is there anything she *doesn't* screw up?) by the time I got to Paititi everything was starting to feel a little claustrophobic with the evil cult just a stroll away and long forgotten tombs just around the corner.
It does lean a bit more into puzzling so Lara isn't as much a Rambo/Predator knock-off - although there are still sections for that. You do have to wonder why TR's ancient civilizations spent so much time building such complex mechanisms to open doors (awkward if you wanted to pop out for a stroll) but they're fun all the same.
It' still a worthwhile jaunt - I'm not quite as sold on it as it's predecessors so if it came down to it I'd stick to the first two.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a great ending to the survivor trilogy despite some unfortunate bugs.
SOOTR is overall a fantastic experience with a gripping story, fun and challenging side missions/tombs, and visually stunning village areas with lots to do. The main storyline of the game wraps up everything going on with trinity while also giving us a great look into Lara's upbringing and everything that has made her into the person she is, and while there is often a barrage of side quests to take, this main story definitely has enough to retain your main focus throughout. One huge benefit the story of this game has is the amazing voice acting work, some of the dialogue has so much emotion and heart put into it that you are almost feeling those same emotions as the characters at times.
However if you did want a break from this main story, every area you go to will have a load of things to do that tend to help flesh out the world really nicely. Some of these things will be challenge tombs which reward you with fairly decent buffs that can make the rest of the game slightly easier to play through, side quests which will have you exploring new areas, or hidden treasures to collect. These side activities are also a really great opportunity to go and explore some stunning looking areas, granted Lara may look like a clay model at times while playing, but the environments often look amazing (especially in any orange/red areas with fire etc)
The one big drawback this game has though are its weird and often annoying bugs. During my first few hours of playing I felt like all I was seeing was bugs, from the lighting flickering like mad during cutscenes, visual bugs whenever I'd try to rappel down rocks but my gear is flying around me instead of staying on the rock like it is supposed to, or Laras hair vibrating violently. And these are... ignorable, however there were some more annoying ones that did start to have a decent impact on the game for me.
One that happened a fair few times was that the cutscene audio would often desync with the video to the point where nothing anybody was saying would match up with what was happening, which made the cutscenes more annoying than anything else. Another time I was able to click 'F' on a post (which I'd previously freed a person from) which broke the game as Lara couldn't move until the dialogue (which no longer existed) ended. One that forced me to google the issue was during a puzzle where certain pieces wouldn't move whatsoever, turns out I had to go into the settings and mess with V sync a little bit. And there were a load of instances where I feel Lara's arms just gave up and didn't grab on to a ledge or branch or whatever when realistically it should (but maybe we'll have to call that one a skill issue)
However, the majority of these bugs weirdly stopped after a handful of hours into the game, and everything past that point seemed to work fine! They're just kind of annoying for a while.
Overall this game is a really good experience, there is a decent amount of content if you're wanting to go around and finish up the side quests and tombs, but I think the main storyline with its great visuals and acting (along with the same fun gameplay loop that we've seen in the previous entries) is more than enough to make this game well worth your time.
There’s an inkling of a great game hidden in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, but there’s a few things that prevent the game from ever being more than “just good.” Unlike the 2013 game and Rise, which I both really enjoyed, it just doesn’t hit the same way.
There’s a point where Lara’s actions actually have consequences for once, but she just shakes it off like they don’t matter. Trinity is an irritating antagonist (though Dominguez is not terribly written, which was a nice surprise). I also found it comical how Lara is the first to retrieve both the dagger and the box, but Trinity outguns her and steals it from her both times. The writers were onto something, but time and again it feels like they failed to see it through. The plot rarely carries the weight that 2013 or Rise did.
I personally found the gameplay to be middling - the crafting mechanics could have been great, but they end up feeling useless since you lose your weapons so often. Combat is not common, and that’s maybe a good thing, because I found the fights to be extremely boring and sometimes frustrating. The gameplay as a whole feels stale.
The exploration and puzzles were great and reminiscent of the old TR titles, especially the late 2000s games. The graphics are stunning - some absolutely gorgeous settings are to be found in this game, and the performance is pretty good too.
This is a game that I’ll give a lukewarm recommendation to. If you like the series like I do, then you should play it - and that’s really about the only reason to. Otherwise, an okay story and uninspired gameplay really holds it back, and there are other ~20 hour adventures worth playing instead.
a game with wokong graphics ,as cheap as a candy ,the best animations , best immersion. im so blessed to have this series in my life. and tomb rider isnt just a game its an emotion.
Awesome, I 100% 'd this game. Graphics still pretty good. I think some of the story beats are dumb and I don't like how much horror-style some elements are, but otherwise very fun.
This game (like the other tomb raiders in the survivor trilogy) have one REALLY nice thing about them, like in this game the stealth is amazing, but mostly everything else sucks so :/
cant aim and shoot on controller without it disconnecting
ive spent so much time trying to fix it
Main missions are nice but, side missions are often boring...
Interesting, nice graphic, good story.
this game is really good it has really good graphics and story trust me its worth it
The game has a lot less combat and a lot more forced stealth sections makes everything worse as you often they just instantly see you out of nowhere.
And that's not even talking about the absolute genius that thought it'd be a good idea to have every enemy require 2 headshots to kill, even with a bow (on top of that, they perform this crazy animation after the first headshot, seemingly making them invulnerable and a second headshot impossible to land).
Story and setting is also very "meh" but that's just my opinion.
It's sad that the trilogy has to end this way but I'm also glad it's over. I'd recommend just rushing through this one.
I really enjoyed the first two games in this trilogy and I could not put them down, however this game is the complete opposite. The combination of a boring story and lackluster gameplay (side quests = talking sim) makes this game very unappealing to me, and I pretty much forced myself to play this game in the hopes of it getting better. I'm still yet to finish the story, so I may try it again someday, but as of now, I just recommend you play the first two.
All form no substance. Sticky controls and an unengaging story.
