Important facts about Hexagons:
- Hexagons are third order permutohedrons: The vertices of a hexagon can be formed by permuting the coordinates of the vector (1, 2, 3).
- The north pole of the planet Saturn has a hexagonal storm cloud pattern with 8,600 mile long sides, larger than the diameter of Earth.
- Though hexagon may appear to be a difficult word to rhyme, there are actually dozens of words that rhyme with it. For example: Autobahn, decagon, decathlon, electron, Kyrgzstan, Lebanon, leprechaun and marathon.

i never knew hexagons could inspire such addictive rage
you can die at 9.11 so its funny
Super Hexagon is the game that will make you question your reflexes, patience, and sanity, all in under a minute. The beats are awesome, and the chaos keeps you hooked, always pulling you back for another round.
So, I originally played and beat this 10 years ago with my High School Robotic's club's friend's DRM-free copy. We all would have a go at Hexagonest and eventually Hyper Hexagonest in between working on Robotics stuff, and it was one of the games that shaped how I thought of game development going forward.
10 years later, here I am finally paying that money off 2-fold (gifted an extra copy to a friend) and slowly getting through it. I can't sit here and play it as much anymore due to work and other obligations, but I love this game and the memories it brings. One of these days I'll have the official achievement on Steam to show that I can still beat Hyper Hexagonest, but until that day comes, I'll continue trying.
good
Хороший тренажёр для развития скорости реакции :o)
The first 13 years I owned the game I couldn't beat it, and it wasn't fun.
Now i can beat it, its a very good game
Challenging game to 100% but every time you clear a stage, you feel a great sense of accomplishment and relief. Clearing a stage requires you to survive for 60 seconds and hearing the word "Hexagon" that comes up each time you reach 45 seconds really makes the stress build up.
Total of 6 levels where you would need to learn the patterns through practice. Honestly the last level really made me question if I really wanted to do this but damn, it felt so good in the end.
9/10 I prefer clicking the circles.. to the beat... CIRCLES ♪♪♪
Very fun and strangely addicting. Probably one of the hardest games I have ever played once you get far but still quite enjoyable. 8/10
My childhood game. I played this when I was in 6th-grade and my little brother was in 1st-grade at the time (and the mf really conquered the game when he was 7 yo). This game (and later the Open Hexagon game) led me to play more rhythm games and this was where we discovered electronic and 8-bit music.
The gameplay is extremely simple, yet challenging. The graphic is minimal but effective. And damn, the music was pure adrenaline to my brain.
I wanted to leave a bad review about this game, but I only have a skill issue
The most super hexagon game out there.
To live is to suffer...to suffer more is to play Super Hexagon... T_T
a great game for masochists who have an unusual affinity for hexagons, such as myself
A remarkable game that tests the boundaries of your sanity as the you hear the words "Hexagon" breath down your neck and the pressure kicks in. One of the hardest games to date purely based on how beautiful and terrifying a long run's loss is.
Idk, I tried to enjoy this game, but it just didn't click for me. Maybe the problem is me, but I don't feel to recommend it.
A timeless classic. Go play it if you haven't done so yet.
Super fun game for when you're bored out of your mind.
game over
begin
A very unique and fun game. The sountrack is just fire.
better than sex? i think? yeah. better than sex.
Game Over. Begin...
LET ME REFUND FOR UNDERTALE PLEASE
i have had this game for 10 years and i've still not beat stage 3
After having this game on my phone, crying whilst trying to beat it.. I can finally say I've done it.
Please only buy this game if you're willing to withstand countless pain and suffering, but I can say it is 100% worth it if you're up for the challenge.
Still one of my favorite games of all time. 10/10. Bat the game. I dare you.
Honestly a very fun experience. Really worth the $3 I payed for it, as I ended up putting nearly 14 hours into the game, (counting the couple hours I had left it open when I stepped away). I'm not sure if this counts as a bullet hell style of game based on the core mechanic of avoiding oncoming shapes, but it definitely gives me the same feel as one. Worth checking out and playing for sure if you're considering it. Writing this review after beating the last stage which felt so good once I cleared it. :)
it really does something with you, when you are on a good run
very neat game. the game gets pretty hard at the end but with enough practice you can get it it's like learning the attacks of a boss
played this hundred of ours all device combined it's real fun !
Simple concept, great music, super challenging yet approachable
Reflex-based game with a surprisingly high skill ceiling. If that's your type of gameplay then this is absolutely for you.
A really nice game, although the framerate seems to be capped at 60 for some reason. If higher FPS were supported the game would be a bit more enjoyable.
This game is a lowly $3. And yet, with it you get:
- 6 insanely hard levels that could likely take several hours each
- 3 immortal banger songs
- Visuals that are a feast for the eyes
- Satisfying sound design
- Leaderboards and the ability to play levels for a very, very long time (as long as you can handle it)
If you're looking for a budget title that can still keep you hooked, this could be it! It is more than worth the three dollars. It's simple, yet it's very effective.
I love this game and it's amazing music but the flashing lights in the second level hurts my eyes after just 2 minutes. I don't have this problem with any other game. It's unfournate as I really want to beat this game, but I am physically unable to. If the flashing lights could be turned off then I would be able to play it properly.
Bad controls, too reliant in RNG, little variation on music, too short. Avoid. 5/10
I understand now. I can now see in the 4th dimension in the 5th dimension and the 6th dimension.
super hexagon is truly the hexagon of my life and my point, line, triangle, square, and even pentagon.
100/10 would never play it again
Very simple, very fun, and just plain challenging. The only objective is to survive each level for 60 seconds, but that's easier said than done. The music is awesome, probably the best chiptune I've heard. I beat the game today and it feels amazing when you finally get the last level right.
The only game I've managed to get other people addicted to
The 3rd level, Hexagonest, is a great example of how not to design video game obstacles. Often you will get unlucky and, once a ring with one opening is coming after a very intense pattern, your cursor will already be going the wrong direction to efficiently escape, and you must die. Terrible
Giving up at the hyper levels. Both my brain and hands really did not enjoy the time I spent in this game.
Using keyboard, the controls felt both sluggish and too fast at the same time and just had a very imprecise feel to them.
Visually quite garish and unpleasant to stare at for extended periods of time with the random (?) rotation eventually getting on my nerves.
For a quick burst of arcade experience this game is ..fine. For a "Hard" game this is just hope-you-get-good-patterns and it doesn't necessarily feels like it wants to reward skill or time spent learning. Seeing people sinking dozens of hours in this, I'd rather put that into an actual arcade or rhythm game.
And as always.. f*ck hexagons.
at times i want to go into a soundproof room and scream at the top of my lungs
best 75 cents i've spent
Do you like shapes?
Do you like colors?
Do you have undiagnosed autism???
Then play this game, play the shape and color game.
For when modern titles just dont scratch the over stimulation button enough
Line. Triangle. Square. Pentagon. Hexagon.
Easy.
You don't need to play a game for long to feel the fun and exciting game play that this game has to offer. I highly recommend you try it out. It may just scratch that itch that modern titles can't.
It more measures which peripherals you use than skill - it is quite imprecise to use continous position than if the positions were discrete. (That would also get rid of that the game changes your position even you dont press anything).
Just dont buy it. Simple enough. It is the worst possible thing to look at
Like Tom, I feel I should write a review.
This review, in fact, is about Tom. Where do I start.
Tom can be summarised very simply, as a man who plays games for fun. "Doesn't everyone", you may ask?
"No"
That is no longer the case with most, but Tom has developed an iron will for fun. Some say his middle name is "Fun". Who can tell really? I'll tell you who. Tom.
very hard, very fun. i've had this game for little more than a day and i love it
This game is pretty simple infact I making my own version just octagon not Hexagon but I do have one negative view on this game this game is a full on Hardagon(Get it)
