Important facts about Hexagons:
- Hexagons are third order permutohedrons: The vertices of a hexagon can be formed by permuting the coordinates of the vector (1, 2, 3).
- The north pole of the planet Saturn has a hexagonal storm cloud pattern with 8,600 mile long sides, larger than the diameter of Earth.
- Though hexagon may appear to be a difficult word to rhyme, there are actually dozens of words that rhyme with it. For example: Autobahn, decagon, decathlon, electron, Kyrgzstan, Lebanon, leprechaun and marathon.

The only game I've managed to get other people addicted to
The 3rd level, Hexagonest, is a great example of how not to design video game obstacles. Often you will get unlucky and, once a ring with one opening is coming after a very intense pattern, your cursor will already be going the wrong direction to efficiently escape, and you must die. Terrible
Giving up at the hyper levels. Both my brain and hands really did not enjoy the time I spent in this game.
Using keyboard, the controls felt both sluggish and too fast at the same time and just had a very imprecise feel to them.
Visually quite garish and unpleasant to stare at for extended periods of time with the random (?) rotation eventually getting on my nerves.
For a quick burst of arcade experience this game is ..fine. For a "Hard" game this is just hope-you-get-good-patterns and it doesn't necessarily feels like it wants to reward skill or time spent learning. Seeing people sinking dozens of hours in this, I'd rather put that into an actual arcade or rhythm game.
And as always.. f*ck hexagons.
at times i want to go into a soundproof room and scream at the top of my lungs
best 75 cents i've spent
Do you like shapes?
Do you like colors?
Do you have undiagnosed autism???
Then play this game, play the shape and color game.
For when modern titles just dont scratch the over stimulation button enough
Line. Triangle. Square. Pentagon. Hexagon.
Easy.
You don't need to play a game for long to feel the fun and exciting game play that this game has to offer. I highly recommend you try it out. It may just scratch that itch that modern titles can't.
It more measures which peripherals you use than skill - it is quite imprecise to use continous position than if the positions were discrete. (That would also get rid of that the game changes your position even you dont press anything).
Just dont buy it. Simple enough. It is the worst possible thing to look at
Like Tom, I feel I should write a review.
This review, in fact, is about Tom. Where do I start.
Tom can be summarised very simply, as a man who plays games for fun. "Doesn't everyone", you may ask?
"No"
That is no longer the case with most, but Tom has developed an iron will for fun. Some say his middle name is "Fun". Who can tell really? I'll tell you who. Tom.
very hard, very fun. i've had this game for little more than a day and i love it
This game is pretty simple infact I making my own version just octagon not Hexagon but I do have one negative view on this game this game is a full on Hardagon(Get it)

Cool game but the protagonist is a triangle
forgive me cavanagh for only just now getting around to buying what is still probably one of the greatest indie games ever made
Title: A Hypnotic Test of Reflexes and Resilience
Rating: ★★★★★
Super Hexagon isn’t just a game—it’s an experience. From the moment you boot it up, you’re thrust into a kaleidoscopic vortex of pulsating shapes, hypnotic beats, and unrelenting challenges. It doesn’t ease you in; it dares you to keep up. And once you’ve tasted its rhythm, you’ll be hooked.
Gameplay
At its core, Super Hexagon is deceptively simple: guide a small triangle around the center of a rotating maze, avoiding walls that close in from all directions. But don’t let the simplicity fool you—this game is hard. Every movement requires split-second precision, and as the tempo increases, it becomes a mesmerizing dance of muscle memory and instinct.
What makes Super Hexagon so remarkable is its balance between challenge and accessibility. It’s unforgiving, yes, but never unfair. Each failure feels like a learning moment, nudging you closer to mastering its frenetic rhythm.
The control scheme is tight and responsive, leaving no room for blaming the game if you mess up—it’s all on you, and that’s part of the thrill.
Visuals
Visually, Super Hexagon is a minimalist masterpiece. The geometric design is bold, clean, and perfectly complements the frantic gameplay. The screen shifts, rotates, and pulses to the beat, creating a sensory overload that’s as disorienting as it is exhilarating. But even amid the chaos, the visuals are always clear enough for you to keep track of your position—if you can stay calm.
Soundtrack
Let’s talk about the music, because it’s impossible to separate Super Hexagon from its phenomenal chiptune soundtrack by Chipzel. Each track is a banger, perfectly synced to the gameplay. The beats are infectious, driving you forward and keeping you engaged. The way the music builds in intensity as you survive longer creates a palpable sense of progress. The soundtrack alone is worth the price of admission.
Difficulty
This game doesn’t just have a learning curve; it has a learning cliff. The starting mode is labeled “Hard,” and it only goes up from there: “Harder” and “Hardest.” And yet, every moment feels fair. You’ll start by barely surviving for a few seconds, but with persistence, you’ll notice yourself lasting longer, dodging faster, and reacting more intuitively.
It’s a game that rewards practice and perseverance. That first time you hit 60 seconds and beat a level? It feels like climbing a mountain.
Replayability
Super Hexagon is the epitome of “just one more try.” Its short, intense gameplay sessions make it easy to pick up and play, and the quest for mastery will keep you coming back. Even after you’ve beaten all the levels, the game’s hypnotic pull will likely still have you diving in for the pure joy of the challenge.
Verdict
Super Hexagon is a triumph of minimalist design, combining tight controls, stunning visuals, and a heart-pounding soundtrack into one unforgettable package. It’s not a game for the faint of heart, but if you’re up for the challenge, it will reward you with a gaming experience unlike any other.
I came for the music, stayed for the gameplay, and now I can’t imagine my library without it. Whether you’re a fan of rhythm games, precision challenges, or just want to see what you’re made of, Super Hexagon deserves a place in your collection.
10/10, would die repeatedly again.
very fun but if you have dizzy problems then dont buy it cause then it can make you faint
One of the best games of all time.
One of the best simple games ever made
How does one come up with this concept? It's great. Simple but effective. If you've never played this game, then what are you doing exactly?
Gud Gam
Needs more hexagons
Yeah, sex is cool. Have you ever played SUPER HEXAGON?
I got this game 11 years ago thought it was dope and then just sort of forgot to finish all the stages until today
Anyway the game's still dope and you should buy it
got all achievements in 21 minutes
is good game
will recommend
i have tinnitus
dorito go brrr
I remember finding a tutorial on timing your blinks playing this game on the old internet. Must play.
Love this game so much
This is a really fun and challenging arcade style game where you point an arrow through obstacles of increasing speed, complexity, and shape. There are numerous levels in the game and it has a great soundtrack. Just today I completed the final stage and that stage was significantly harder than any other stage by a long shot. It took me a couple weeks of on and off playing, but it was worth it because doing well in this game is satisfying and gets you into a flow state. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good challenge and satisfying gameplay.
It's so simple, addictive, incredibly difficult, and amazing. Awesome for entering a flow state.
Over 10 years later the game is still both fun and challenging. It's 35mb footprint means I don't see myself ever uninstalling it.
I wish the day I have sex to be as good as the ending of this game
You spin me round (like a record) the game but on lsd
I've legitimately had people get mad at me because of how focused I got while playing this game
But you gotta do what you gotta do for the hexagon
It can be very frustrating, but taking breaks helps a lot with improving. If you have trouble, just try later!
very fun, could've had a higher difficulty ceiling though
好像刚开始玩steam时库里一共就这俩游戏,一个别人共享的超级六边形,一个别人共享的传送门。
最大优点是快,一局顶多一分钟。
This game proves that one minute can in fact seem like an eternity
This is what sex with Juno feels like

Made me throw up 10/10
Simple and difficult
wow, what a superb 6 sided polygon
i wonder what its doing though
Super fun, super addictive, super hexagon!
Great early childhood game. May not be as appealing today for most people, but it's still great and affordable... and also intense. You hear that, Hyper Hexagonest?
For a rhythm game, it's vexing that the pointer doesn't just instantly move between tracks. Constant game overs from over- or under-shooting the correct path. There are better, less minimalist rhythm games for the price.
I hate this game. It's a great game, very simple yet fun.
But, I hate it. No other game in my Steam library comes anywhere close to inspiring the level of visceral hate and malice that this game does. It makes me violently angry, which I suppose is a testament to how addicting and tight the gameplay is.
In short, get it, just be warned if you're prone to banging your head against a wall like I am until *something* breaks
I feel like the game is really self explanatory, I'm not amazing at it but i really enjoy it from time to time, the music is brainrottingly delicious and nothing will ever make me uninstall this work of art from my pc!
Relaxing game (not stressful at all). Would recommend it for study or work breaks.
This game made me flip my desk and break a monitor 10/10 very good
This game is so damn addicting. It's really fun though especially if you love intense short burst Arcade games. Great when you have few minutes to play.
