Larian please give for this game profile items and frames in steam, in the style of the game inventory!
Is it old? Yes.
Is it cool af? Yes.
Am I sad because I learned that Larian had to cut the multiplayer aspect out and I'll never get to play as a dragon with a friend? Absolutely.
but D R A G O N
I adored this third installment in Rivellon aka Divinity Series a LOT, but keep in mind that I'm a sucker for an action/adventure game AND I was also playing it over a decade after its release in quick succession to the previous two games set in this universe. I also also was almost exclusively a console gamer growing up, and this game ended up being a delightful reminder of those days.
also D R A G O N
it's worth the journey you take to get there.
dragon
You can see its age when you play, but honestly it is a lot of fun.
Divinity II never got the attention that it deverses, probably because it was released only shortly after Skyrim. In my opinion, Divinity II is one of the best action-RPG games in a fantasy setting ever made -- and best of all: you get to play as a dragon, fly around and spit fireballs in an air-superiority manner!
However, the game has one major downside and this is also the main reason why I have never attempted to replay this game a second time: this game has the worst ending in gaming history -- it is so bad that I remember Alt-F4-ing the game during the ending credits and immediately uninstalling it afterwards, because I was so frustrated and angry.
Just be prepared for the definition of a worst-possible ending and you have a really good chance enjoy this quite awesome game.
This video game is an old game, I'm replaying it and I gonna mention that with this patch: https://github.com/BlanknameES/Div2Patch/releases/tag/v0.97 the game wins good corrections because frametime and fluid feeling start to be real in my old monitor with static refresh rate. The game definitely is an action RPG videogame where playing as an hero or as a dragon, but as hero even this strong poing it can be deep fun, at the same time it can take lot of time, the game it isn't completed as others games, where as much you complete the game you see where devs were out of money and they had to end it hurry, still the game can be a dragon, hero experience where to fight as female or male criature, person and the way you can fight as archer, as a swordsman, magician or even as monk who invoke criature to fight for him or her. So yeah. I don't know why you keep reading, buy this beauty! It's a fun game. If you remember is an old game. ^^
Traitors larian studios who spat on my real-time & real-time-with-pause childhood. 0/10. Larian, go f yourself with your turn-based trash that destroyed a sequel.
dragon transformation is cool
had some hard times with it and wanted to quit many times. but the next day I came back and you can be a dragon. still a 10/10
Honestly one of the best RPG's I've ever played
I've had this game in my Steam library for a long time, but it didn't work on newer hardware.
Now, with the community patch, I can finally play it. And what can I say?
The game is fantastic! Highly recommended!
This game rules, just install some fixes. Embryo jank at it's best in a DnD setting
what an ending!
I really enjoy this game! Yes, the gameplay isn't so smooth; you're mostly forced to pick the ranger class, while the mage and fighter classes are more for difficulty-seeking masochists. Some aspects of battle feel overpowered - looking at backflipping - while others feel a little janky - hardly anything causes enemies to stagger back or stop their attack, so they can just whale on you constantly while you're whaling on them. Some quest items aren't always clear what their purpose is, and I've resorted to using the wiki a fair bit. But if you can live with that, you have a great game, fantastic story, and awesome dragon-transforming to look forward to! The voice lines and wittiness is great, there's a lot of characterization you can dig into, and I really enjoy the music. The graphics are good for their time; a nostalgia hit now. It's clear a lot of love went into this game, and it's truly one for the books.
Great RPG from Larian, great writing, good gameplay, exploring is rewarded, engaging sidequests and story. I wish they'd come back to 3rd person games because this is just underrated. Highly recommended
PS: If the game runs poorly you can get a mod that fixes 99.99% of the issues.
It's great. And it's great in beeing great. So that makes it really great, I guess.
Don't mind me, just slotting this one in as one of my favourite "I can't believe I missed playing this for so long" games.
❤️
old skool game is good
This game still holds up many years later! The best dragon transformation world changing choices matter RPG from 2012 money can buy!
10/10
Here's another game that i vaguely remember playing a long time ago, all because i remembered the fucking loading screens.
No beating around the bush, this game did not age well at all, the gameplay is so outdated it affects the difficulty by itself, some enemies are also constantly spamming heal abilities. Storyline is so easily forgettable with a out of nowhere last second plot twist where it turns out you were accidentally helping the villain. I find it very strange that people think this is "underrated", it does hit that old school RPG charm, but nostalgia should never be a games saving grace. The "DLC" Flames Of Vengeance is supposedly meant to fix the rushed original ending, but i don't think it really matters anyways.
It's very impressive how Larian managed to vastly improve from this to Divinity Original Sin, and then eventually Baldur's Gate 3. They managed to actually learn from their mistakes and know what works and what doesn't.
Game just crashes on start up
stuttering mess
i have A LOT of Nostalgia for that Game, i dont think i would hold up by todays standarts.
I know its only a bit over 10 Years old at this point, but it feels more oldschool than that (not in a bad way)
Kind of stupid that you actually have to write something.
Plus ain't nobody who wasn't looking exactly for it is finding this game anyway.
Felt like playing some older games. Good game overall, but after the battle tower the level design is ass. Still fun though.
The ability to ''mind read'' is fun. I liked the verticality in this game even though it's clearly not explored as much as it could have been, the dramatic ass backflip was the cherry on top.
Way too much cheap jump n run to be fun and these riddles just won't end just getting harder and harder.
Just NO!
Its rough - Its buggy - Its jank - Its worth a play
Great Game had a lot of fun
trash

The game required a fix for fps and camera/crashes, easy to do tho.
Enjoyed it a lot honestly, didn't expect it to be this good.
Story was interesting, didn't mind the floaty combat and i even liked it by the end of early game.
Quest structure was a bit weird to get into but i was used to it too after a bit, characters were all pretty cool to interact with.
For the gear i liked it but felt like sets were a bit eh since you can easily miss sets parts.
Overall really good and the voiced quests helped the game a lot. I was a bit burned out by the end.
Flames of Vengeance
Was the same as ego draconis pretty much, just focused in Aleroth. Side quests were nice, it ended the game in a good way.
Hands down the most frustrating pc game I've played in my 30+ years of gaming. Impossible to enjoy a game when you have to spend more hours in forums trying to find answers to what the hell you need to do in almost every quest. So much potential to be an RPG classic but after 42 hours I'm done.
I tried hard to like this game, but in the end, this game was just a no for me. However I do credit what Larian tried to do with this title, they were ambitious with this game:
- A lots of recorded dialogue
- Transforming to Dragon for air combats
- Open-world design (Sort of)
- Hours and hours of content
but damn... the main gameplay is unpolished, combat animations are choppy, feels like everything constantly hitting me and everything could kill me with 6 to 7 hits. (Yes I am aware I am not using a build guide, but I shouldn't have to rely on one to progress normally)
That being said tho... knowing Larian's development track record and how much they have learned from the past, if they are going to redesign/remake this game, I am willing to give this title another chance.
