its decent
This game is very fun, i enjoyed playing through each chapter, getting confused on what to do and the little side quests you could do while going through the chapters, the only thing i would have said is having more information on what to do in each chapter as i got quite confused on trying to complete the chapters without a guide but over all it is very enjoyable!
Absolute cinema
mama, we all go to hell
Lucius is A Very Insane Game. Why you ask?:
Good Things:
✔ It's A Demon Kid Being The Spawn, That Is The Son Of Lucifer!~
✔ The Killing Animations In Here Is Very Interesting As Hell~
✔ Story-telling Is Crazy.. Because The Creativity To The Creators~
✔ Traveling All Around The Mansion That Is Owned By Lucius's Family, The Wagner's~
✔ Trying To Getaway With All The People In The House, He's Killing~
Bad Things:
✖ Has It's Weird Buggy Moments With The Game.
✖ Your Character Loads In, Sometimes Floating!~
✖ Sometimes You'll Get Stuck In-Game With A Glitch.
✖ Other Times It's That The Animations Will Get Broken!
✖ Sounds To The Characters Or Cutscenes Will Be Off Sync.
• P.S. - I Just Want The "Shiver Games" Community To Get More Creative With The Lucifer/Lucius Story-telling A Little Better With The Acting On All The Lucius Games, Next Time.. Keep It Up Btw~
Great game, far from perfect but pretty enjoyable.
If I leave it open for too long while idle then it'll bug and crash out the whole game but it is super fun!! 10/10 recommend!!!!!! Works well with Mini PC!
Great game very fun! I will say lots of bugs or just bad luck for me but it is a 2012 game so you know the first is the worst. Loved the story. But overall a good intro to the series. The power of Christ compels you!
played for hours just to not be able to finish it cus the 2nd priest at the end runs too fast for the fire to hit him, dont recommend.
Just finished it:
-The game is at its most enjoyable when you know your surroundings. I recommend doing a crap ton of exploring so you make your life easier for yourself. If you don't, you end up mindlessly killing people you don't know and also getting stuck on missions/chapters (for example, in ch.10 you need superglue and if you don't get it before it's an absolute nightmare to get to).
-DO YOUR CHORES. There are 5 from your mother, Nancy, for a start, and I missed one with the gardener I didn't know existed. When you do them all, you get a tricycle which makes your life way easier.
-This is also a really janky game, so if things don't work the first time that's why.
- The Jigsaw/Puzzle ending is way better than the fire ending, but is way more difficult/percise.
- Shoot people lol
I've never played a game like this before, it's quite original in how it plays out in working out the puzzles on the next kill, the game doesn't offer as many hints as new games do now days. I did get stuck twice going through the story but the majority is quite straight forward. It's an easy game to complete all the achievements but the most annoying achievement would be hitting the 40 hours game play, while the main story and chapter select on mopping up the missed achievements took me to about 12 hours of game play! For a few quid to buy it's not a bad little game! 4/10
its very good game i loved so much
I'm reviewing every game I've played so far—let's talk about Lucius. I picked it up after watching Laink & Terracid play it, and while the story is briefly entertaining, it quickly gets dull. Hunting for achievements is a slog, and honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it beyond the initial curiosity.
Always wanted to play this in middle school, but wasn't able to until after I became an adult. Now playing for the first time in 2024, I love it! It holds up well and is still so unique. I love this game. I'm also high af and having SUCH a good time.
Entertaining

I can't even play the game because it kicks me out of the game after the intro cutscene
loved it when it first came out, not as good as i remember it now!
An early 2010's puzzle game with a lot of charm, definitely better than it's sequels but even the sequels have their charm.
It was just done it's best here and you should absolutely experience it above all else.
fills your craving
If I was writing this review all the way back when I originally played it in 2015 it would have gotten a positive review, however having it replayed in 2024 to get a handful of achievements I was missing I am now definitely of the mixed to negative opinion.
The game is really unique, there is no many games where you get to play a child, the devils son, and have to murder your family members and hired help in different ways and try to get away with it. The Deed series is the only one that I can even think of that is similar.
However the game really didn't age well at all. It is full of bugs, has awkward controls and the graphics instantly give away that it is a decade+ old game.
On top of that it also has multiple stupid achievements that you will have to deal with if you care about getting the 100%. The worst 2 being having to leave the game on idle for 40 hours and drive a tricycle around in a circle for way too long.
Shame, because it is a game with massive amounts of potential.
Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (9.0-3).
I sobbed when he killed someone in cold blood for nothing that first time. He's so evil. Also, dat game is too linear.
firstly, I had bought this game from having a nostalgic blast watching an old pewdiepie meme (they see me rollin') and initially played it for half an hour from frustration with the controls. I then decided it would be a fun and easy game to achieve 100% so i came back to it after a week of avoiding it and i am glad i did.
Story: 4/10
I am a huge sucker for biblical stories so following the story was simple for me. The game opens with the birth of Lucius through a cinematic, unfortunately losing my interest until chapter 10 and above where answers to the questions from the opening cinematic are given. From chapter 1 to the Forth felt copy and pasted and nothing was given to me to ask questions, even a hint of small story to give me a push to get more and possibly even guess where the story was going would have made playing the first 10 chapters better and less of a chore to get to the story.
Gameplay: 5/10
Learning powers from Satan in your bedroom throughout the game, in my opinion, was done badly. Learning game abilities through tutorials cuts of immersion for me and ruined the impact power of first using the ability. There was a few bugs here and there with the only impactful one on my gameplay being a softlock(?) outside the house but this is a 12 year old game so it is to be expected. The game saves your progress at the start of every chapter giving us the choice of what chapter to go to, whenever. I do feel like the game centred more on how the characters were killed than lucius till chapter 10 soley trying to hold onto the players that dont care much for the story or the puzzles. The puzzles and riddles were done well in some and poorly in others, i had searched up the solution to 4 chapters and giggles from the stupidity and simplicity. Overall the concept for this game and its mechanics was fun and engaging more times than not.
100%: 5/10
difficulty - 1/10 simply playing the game will nat you most achievements
grind - 4/10 a playtime of 40 hours to get 2 time based achievements really sucks
enjoyability - 8/10 other than the 20 and 40 hour acievements the game had some fun achievements that kept me looking forward to getting them (personal fave "shoot 5 people")
replay-ability: 0/10
once you have played it once it loses the puzzle charm and becomes a speedrun to get to the end as there is nothing else to do while running around other than get the achievements. Personally, i wont be playing the game again.
i really enjoyed playing this game, having played the entire story in about 9 hours and achieving all but the timed achievements by the 14 hour mark was a let down as i then had to keep the game open for 26 hours or play it 3 more times (i just kept it open as i played subnautica). The story only got good after the half way point and the gameplay improved gradually after the 4th chapter. So if someone was to ask if they should play it, i'd ask if they were patient. This is an engaging title that gives critical thinkers a run for their money all while it sets up a story that is engaging enough if you stick with it to the end.
Overall: 4.5/10
Very short game, puzzles are sometimes kind of ass though.
The game gave me a strong hint of nostalgia.
However,I cant play without watching a guide/walkthrough.
^ I still love it tho lol
You should buy this game when its on sale lol
Never bothered playing the sequels, mainly because of this game
This is one of those few games I've bought that I played close to it's release date, I think. Back when I didn't research achievements, and definitely didn't wait to see what others thought of the game before I decided to get it.
Having more money than sense is a part of it too.
The funniest part of it is this game could have been great. The concept of being a kid, the son of the devil in fact, and being tasked with killing everyone could have been brilliant - if not for the humdrum way the game forces you to do your killing. It makes no allowances for creativity at all - every kill has to be done a certain way, with a certain method, in a certain place, at a certain time. And then with the burning down the house... so cliched.
Being stuck doing the game in such a linear fashion only enhances the bad aspects, from what I recall. Bland, often colourless scenery and rooms, boring and often confusing gameplay as you try to figure out what to do... about the best part of the game was getting new powers and talking to dad.
Add in the fact there's some broken achievement for playing for a zillion hours - pointless, because it just makes 'hours played' meaningless when we all have to leave the game on afk for a few weeks.
Fun game to speed run.

gruesome kills satisfying puzzles that aren't too hard to figure out good story however was short i recommend people give it a go may be old but a good game none the less 8/10
This Kid got me now i have tits.....
Pretty old (had to disable antivirus to open, font doesn't work, and I just got sent back to the beginning after 3 hours of progress :,) ) but still very fun. I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would
Really, the only complaint is that it get's a little confusing (the map is MASSIVE) but even then it's worth it
Had huge potentional but since the map doesnt always show you where youre supposed to go ,or you dont even know what to do,it wouldve taken ages to finish it by myself ,Internet guides have saved me numerous times ...Too much puzzle like with 0 help from the almighty devil dad lmao.
And the 2nd game is Transh, cluncky ,Stupid NPCs i didnt even finish it
The only thing i enjoyed was the game concept ,the old nostalgic graphics (50/50) and mostly the Steam Badge, all else is bad, controls are so so and poorly explained like telekenesis ,Had again to turn to internet guides to help me since i couldnt progress in the bathroom mission
Objectively the best in the franchise, the more contained setting and story helps it a lot. It's charming in how over the top it is at times and it feels like real care has been put into the game. I also feel the references to films are much better done in this than in the third game in which it became grating and distracting. Game controls are good enough and the gameplay itself is not too challenging but not numbingly easy either. Very solid, I had fun!
Fun and short game. The achievements are all easy, but the playtime ones are dumb
Papa Satan told me to do it
BOOOOOOOORING
very good gore the puzzles are also challenging its fun to see how the characters lose there sanity.
very fun game for its price on discount 10/10
The thrill of nostalgia to kill 20 people for my daddy Satan, not watch 2 youtubers do it when I was 13! :)
Its so fun to act as a villain in a horror game. I am not the one should be feared for the NPC, THE NPC FEARED FOR ME!
Bocil dakjal kematian
Интересная игруха! Буду проходить
What a terrible game !! I cannot believe they would even release a broken game like this and I cannot believe I wasted my money and time on this absolute terrible game.
Tasked each day to kill a member of the house; you take on the role of Lucius, son of the devil. As the days pass and you take more lives, your powers grow, so that you may cause more and more mischief.
Realistically, each day is more like a puzzle than anything else. You do get more powers as the days go by, but you have to use them in specific ways to get anything done. It's certainly a fun game and has some stealth elements that don't make the whole thing simply going through the motions. Plus the deaths scenes are pretty well done. For an indie horror(ish), I rate it highly.
The biggest downside is honestly the achievements. If you are a completionist, just know there are achievements for playing the game for 40 hours, walking 26 miles in game, and riding the tricycle for 10 miles in game. I ended up getting the walking one while playing, but had to tie my thumbstick over to ride in circles for the bike one. Also had to leave the game on while I slept multiple night sin a row, because the game only really has 5-6 hours of content, if you are taking your time.
didnt really enjoy the game but not for everyone
:)
so bad its good but last level is a pain
I had this in my gallery and just decided to play it, turned out pretty damn good lol
Although this game aged extremely poorly in many aspects, it still is a unique experience which deserves to be played at least once.
We will play as Lucius, a kid who is the son of the devil. Chapter by chapter we will be tasked by our father with killing people inside the house we live in.
First it will be staff members, a maid, the butcher, up until more “high profile” targets. The killings must be disguised as accidents, in order to avoid and deflect suspicions about us.
Every kill will increase our power and eventually we will unlock new abilities, like telekinesis, mind control and fireballs.
The game is really explicit and graphic in depicting the murders, showing exactly how every victim dies with plenty of details. The story is pretty well written too, conveying a nice black humor sort of noir mood.
This is greatly enhanced by the soundtrack, which gives great moody vibes and perfectly fits with every scenario.
I must say the atmosphere is overall on point and works very well.
The mix of action and kind of “point and click” gameplay is smart but doesn't always work, and I found it pretty difficult at times. Some actions required to progress are really unintuitive or need a lot of exploration and trial and error to figure out. The fact that some important objects arent highlighted at all and often blend with the background doesn't help one bit, thus at times I had to help myself with a guide.
Another low point of the game is the presentation, which I guess is the aspect that aged the most poorly. Still, the overall style is consistent, albeit not looking great even compared to other indie games from the same time period. Also sometimes the game is a bit janky, with some hotbox issues which require some extreme precision to work.
Overall though, it was a fun experience and I really enjoyed being the villain and decimating the unsuspecting victims. If you can get past some ugly-ish graphics I'm pretty confident in recommending this game!
fun
I love Lucius. The characters are incredible, and the story is just as engaging. You really get attached to the characters, which makes it tough when you have to kill someone you’ve grown to like. The concept is brilliant, and even though this game is a classic, it remains highly entertaining to this day.
